Broker’s Comments

The yacht’s name NOHeea is derived from the Hawaiian language, meaning ‘loveliness and spirit’.

NOHeea had a substantial refit (almost may be termed a ‘rebuild’) in 2007-8. From then the yacht has benefited from professional crewed maintenance and operation. The yacht was bought by the current owners in 2014. They have as owners operated her in charter under Malta flag commercial status. In 2017 they refitted her and have kept her up to date and in good order.

19, Quai de Rive Neuve Marseille Bouches-du-Rhône 13007 France (excerpt from Vaton Design web site) Vaton’s design career began working in the office of André Mauric’s where he was involved in many innovative projects e.g. centreboarders Méridien and Kriter and many production models like the Jeanneau Melody and early Bénéteau Firsts. Those 5 years of valuable experience followed several spells in England and France - with Illingworth, Nicholson and Rouillard - combined with two round-the-world races (Whitbread and Ostar 76) whilst in the same period designing a one-tonner in collaboration with A. Maupas. In 1979 he set up his own office in Marseilles, immediately winning a 40’ competition for the BEG ROHU national sailing School. His solid experience at sea provided him with the practical know-how indispensable in the designing of units that have the vital qualities of sea-keeping and reliability : one must cite his prestigious regatta yacht concepts Charles Heidsieck III (1981), Coriolan (1983) and Milène V (1985).

Noheea – Giles Vaton/Trehard – 25 m Performance Sailing Yacht – For Charter

NOHEEA is 25 m aluminium performance sailing yacht designed by Giles Vaton and built by Trehard/de Schepper of France. Her hull was built in 1999 and she was completely refitted in 2007.

NOHEEA is air-conditioned thought. She can accommodate up to 7 guests in 2 double and 1 twin cabins. Each cabin is equipped with large flat LCD-TV, and the touch panel control at the beds for DVD, TV and iPod connection. The navigation data can be monitored on screens, also. The saloon is particularly big, with an oval dining table on port side, surrounded with comfy leather seats. There is a bar area on the star board with more seating available for guests.

NOHEEA’s cockpit is ideal to dine and relax. Shaded by the large Biminis the cushioned lounge area can seat 7 guests. More shade is available on the bow where an awning can be erected. The transom door when unfolded can serve as a bathing platform with swimming ladder and deck shower.

Sailing Yacht NOHEEA is available for charter in the Iberian Peninsula, Spain and the Balearic islands.

About MED42

The MED42 completes the MED YACHT range which is composed of the 42 and 52 foot models  realized by naval architect Gilles Vaton and with a design by Enrico Gobbi, designer for RosiNavie, Dreamline, Dominator and recently for the new ISA Yacht 67m and ROSSI NAVI 63m. MED42 is riding the wave of inspiration for the most modern and luxurious yachts.

Inside this high-end boat, enjoy a large cabin / suite with a bar height of 1.95m, a bathroom and separate shower, a dressing room, a large refrigerator of 300 liters in the salon and a second Ar double cabin.

The MED42 is powered by two IPS VOLVO 500 or 650, but also in an outboard version with 3x300hp Mercury V8 or with two new V12 600hp Mercury, allowing it to reach 45knts in top speed.

The uncluttered deck arrangements facilitate circulation and allow the MED42 to be the ideal boats for cruising (with two or three cabins), for family days and festive moments where many guests can find the necessary space to their comfort. The deck is designed to allow fluid movement, with a central bar, large volumes, a separate dining area, XXL sun loungers, a tender garage and Water Toys…, tenderlift, electric awning, grill… Numerous hollow joints with LED strips, neat lines, worked details and quality accessories embellish the boat.

Technical aspects.

A large cabin/suite (height under bar 1,90m) with bathroom and independent shower, dressing room, large refrigerator of 200 liters in the living room, and a second double cabin Ar with low height under bar.

On the bridge: - A large hold accessible from the deck to store a deflated tender, tools, sea toys or diving equipment. - A box in the transom for storing fenders, fins, masks,... - A large outdoor Kitchen/Bar with refrigerators, Ice-Maker, plancha and kitchen storage.

- Electric curtain of 2m integrated in the Hard-top to cover the dining area.

Customizations and options:

The MED42 will be very well equipped as standard with 8 mm solid teak, all the fittings, the hard-top, the choice of upholstery, woodwork and materials will be possible in standard version. - Optional: air conditioning, generator, electronics, hard-top electric curtain and hull paint mainly.

The MEDs offer a luxurious level of finish and equipment as standard. The MED42 made its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Boat Show 2021.

Refit of a 1984 Gilles Vaton designed 78ft Yacht

This stunning 78ft (23.78m) Gilles Vaton design weighing in at 47 tones was built at the Abeking & Rasmussen Shipyard in Bremen in 1984, sporting the classic IOR lines of its era. ARRAYAN II was a sensation at the time when Super Yachts were rare and maxis the rage; its elegant lines and breath-taking performance add to the interior comfort which befits the legendary name of A&R.

She is here for a complete refit, starting with her entirely metal deck which has been completely blasted back to clear metal, patched in places where corrosion has wended its evil way, filled, and faired before being sanded back for a protective primer, Alexseal 161. This is s an epoxy-based primer with specific corrosion inhibitors and a combination of epoxy resin binding agents offering excellent adhesion on all surfaces as well as corrosion protection on steel and aluminium substrates; to follow is a final top coat of KiwiGrip.

For those who don’t know, KiwiGrip is a durable, non-skid coating that offers a very high traction surface. By varying the application procedure, the texture can be adjusted from a rolled “pleasure boat” texture to an industrial and aggressive “workboat” texture. KiwiGrip also won’t suffer from the issues you come across with similar products filled with sand, beads, rubber fleck, or other fillers. Coatings with these additional fillers tend to wear through, and the fillers/grip fall out leaving an unsafe deck that’s hard to clean and even more difficult to re-coat.

We will be adding a custom-made cockpit deck along with cockpit seating and a “pickle fork” teak surface for either side of the companionway hatch, carrying out repairs to the keel and underwater hull, and a full engine service amongst more to report upon as Springtime emerges.

BLOOPER OF ST. KATHERINES is a 26.85 m Sail Yacht, built in France by Tréhard and delivered in 1984.

The good sized superyacht ARRAYAN II is a sailing yacht. This 35 metre (113 foot) luxury yacht was constructed by Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts (Schiffs-Und Yachtwerft ) in 1992. Superyacht ARRAYAN II is a elegant yacht that can sleep up to 10 passengers on board and has a total of 4 crew members. The graceful sailing yacht was created by a naval architect called Gilles Vaton. Gilles Vaton undertook the designing of the interior.

The yacht's wider design collaboration came from Gilles Vaton. The formal naval architect firm intellectual property are the creation of Gilles Vaton. Sailing Yacht ARRAYAN II received her elegant interior designing from the interior design office of Gilles Vaton. In 1992 she was actually launched with triumph in Lemwerder and following sea trials and finishing touches was thereafter delivered to the new owner. Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts (Schiffs-Und Yachtwerft ) completed their new build sailing yacht in Germany. The hull was built out of aluminium. The sailing yacht main superstructure is made mostly with aluminium. With a beam of 7.7 metres or 25.2 feet ARRAYAN II has moderate internal space. She has a fairly deep draught of 4.9m (16.1ft).

Strange Glow Over Moscow Skies Triggers Panic as Explosions Reported

B right flashes lit up the night sky in southern Moscow in the early hours of Thursday morning, new footage appears to show, following reports of an explosion at an electrical substation on the outskirts of the city.

Video snippets circulating on Russian-language Telegram channels show a series of flashes on the horizon of a cloudy night sky, momentarily turning the sky a number of different colors. In a clip shared by Russian outlet MSK1.ru, smoke can be seen rising from a building during the flashes lighting up the scene.

Newsweek was unable to independently verify the details of the video clips, including when and where it was filmed. The Russian Ministry of Emergency situations has been contacted via email.

Several Russian Telegram accounts said early on Thursday that residents of southern Moscow reported an explosion and a fire breaking out at an electrical substation in the Leninsky district, southeast of central Moscow.

Local authorities in the Leninsky district told Russian outlet RBC that the explosion had happened in the village of Molokovo. "All vital facilities are operating as normal," Leninsky district officials told the outlet.

The incident at the substation in Molokovo took place just before 2 a.m. local time, MSK1.ru reported.

Messages published by the ASTRA Telegram account, run by independent Russian journalists, appear to show residents close to the substation panicking as they question the bright flashes in the sky. One local resident describes seeing the bright light before losing access to electricity, with another calling the incident a "nightmare."

More than 10 villages and towns in the southeast of Moscow lost access to electricity, the ASTRA Telegram account also reported. The town of Lytkarino to the southeast of Moscow, lost electricity, wrote the eastern European-based independent outlet, Meduza.

Outages were reported in the southern Domodedovo area of the city, according to another Russian outlet, as well as power failures in western Moscow. Electricity was then restored to the areas, the Strana.ua outlet reported.

The cause of the reported explosion is not known. A Telegram account aggregating news for the Lytkarino area described the incident as "an ordinary accident at a substation."

The MSK1.ru outlet quoted a local resident who speculated that a drone may have been responsible for the explosion, but no other Russian source reported this as a possible cause.

Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Moscow with long-range aerial drones in recent months, including a dramatic wave of strikes in late May.

On Sunday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the region's air defense systems had intercepted an aerial drone over the city of Elektrostal, to the east of Moscow. No damage or casualties were reported, he said.

The previous day, Russian air defenses detected and shot down another drone flying over the Bogorodsky district, northeast of central Moscow, Sobyanin said.

There is currently no evidence that an aerial drone was responsible for the reported overnight explosion at the electrical substation in southern Moscow.
