Ocean Harbor Yacht Club is a membership based, non-profit corporation which provides boat dockage to members.  You must own a condominium at Ocean Harbor to become a member of the Yacht Club.

There are three docks in our marina which are configured for different size boats.  

Farthest north, is the A Dock which consists of 14 slips accommodating boats up to approximately 30 ft in length. The fishing pier is also located at the end of this dock.  

There are 12 slips on the B dock which can accommodate boats up to about 40 ft and the C dock has 8 slips accommodating boats up to 53 ft.  

All docks and slips are governed by a submerged land lease with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Only boats drawing less than 4.5 ft of water can be permitted in the slips.

Boat slips are bought and sold between individuals via a Bill of Sale and a Consent to Transfer form.  Copies of both are kept with Yacht Club records.   Fees and taxes on the transfer are required to be paid by the seller and are approximately 6.4% of the sale price.  If the seller is a Florida resident, fees and taxes are waived.

In addition to maintaining a boat in good working order, owners are responsible for maintaining their slip components which may consist of; boat lift pilings, boat lift mechanism, controls, electrical wiring, circuit breakers in the power pedestals, any additional water piping from the main dock to the boat slip, possibly a boat slip canopy, dock box and one half of the finger dock serving the slip.

The Yacht club meets annually and collects dues to pay for maintenance, utilities, property taxes and upgrades to common elements to the marina.

All residents of Ocean Harbor including owners, renters and their guests, are welcome to use the boardwalk along the sea wall and the A dock including the fishing pier.  

Dock B and C are considered “private” and available only to Yacht Club Members and their guests.

We are a private Club with a waterfront event venue adjacent to the Oak Harbor Marina. Members enjoy a variety of boating and non-boating social, recreational and educational activities. Our ballroom is rentable for special events, and memberships are available too, even if you don’t own a boat.

We are a community of people who love boating, but that’s not all we do. We also  enjoy good food, good company, and a good party every now and again. Our establishment is family-friendly and offers a little something for everyone.

Welcome to Sea Harbour

You’ve found Sea Harbour Yacht Club in Oriental in North Carolina, providing skippers and their families a private retreat on a tranquil creek. Many say it is the finest marina facility in the area.

By concept and location the Club is insulated from the intrusions of transient docks, charter fleets, yacht sales and repair yards.

The marina is exclusively yours for an uncrowded, quiet and relaxed boating lifestyle. The Club is a family playground where adults have more fun than the kids. Do as little or as much as you want. Settle down in the cockpit with a book and nearby bird songs. Relax in a rocking chair on the wrap around deck and enjoy the breeze in the sun or the shade. The lounge has a TV for that important game, a table for working on your project or comfortable chair in a cool corner to avoid the midday sun. In the evening you can discuss the plan for tomorrow’s sail, next week’s cruise or the jump to the islands for the winter with folks who have been there and done that. The kid’s lobby provides a gathering place for the younger set to socialize. The large lawns provide a place for them to work off excess energy at volley ball, badminton, or just running around. Everyone meets at the pool side for a refreshing dip or to share drinks and conversation.

All of these amenities are surrounded by areas of marsh and trees which provide a natural retreat in a hectic world. The Club shelters some rare natural companions: Otters swim the creek at dawn, Osprey nest on the markers in Spring, and Pelicans fish year round. Our creek is designated as a “Primary Nursery Area” by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission with breeding stocks of fin fish, shrimp and crab. This designation helps preserve the natural state of the creek, restricting the kind of intensive development which has taken place in some other areas. At Sea Harbour, your boat is nestled close to pine forested creek shores protected from wind and wave action, but you’re only a half-mile from the Neuse River. The river is five miles wide at the creek entrance. Oriental’s harbor is one and a half miles upstream and Pamlico Sound and several hundred square miles of cruising and fishing waters are just ten miles downstream. When you’re in the area , please stop in and visit Sea Harbour. We’re proud of it and like to show visitors around. A superyacht inspired by a supercar is nothing new. In fact, earlier this year, Tecnomar and Lamborghini released a 63-footer replete with the Raging Bull’s DNA. But Lazzarini has just rolled out a concept that takes cues from Ferrari ‘s four-wheelers—and it’s worth taking notice of.

Meet the GranTurismo Mediterranea , or GTM for short, a sporty new 88-footer that pays homage to the Prancing Horse’s fast touring cars. The hull is finished in what looks like a riff on Ferrari’s recognizable Rosso Corsa red, while the superstructure is crafted from light carbon fiber that is also favored by the automaker. It’s even got a cheeky Ferrari badge on the front, though it’s not an official design.

Lazzarini didn’t disclose which exact model the GTM was based on, though the car accompanying the yacht in the renders looks quite similar to the hybrid SF90 Stradale .

“We tried to imagine how a Ferrari of the seas would look,” the Italian design studio said in a statement.

The automotive cues continue onboard. Accessible via gullwing doors, the cabin features a racing-inspired cockpit that comes complete with pilot seats and gauges, as well as a main saloon, two double guest cabins and accommodation for three crew. There is also a sizable spoiler to the stern for a little extra attitude.

The real highlight, though, is the folding transom on the aft deck. It can be used as either a sundeck or supercar garage for your Ferrari. Opt for the latter—good choice—and the platform can extend upwards and outwards while the boat is docked, allowing you to drive your prized ride onto dry land at the push of a button.

Aside from aesthetics, the Italian stallion is designed to run like a Ferrari, too. Described as a “hyperyacht,” the design prescribes a hybrid propulsion system featuring three MAN v-12 engines, an Arneson transmission and a central Hamilton Jet drive.

“While the propellers are limited in steering, the jet will provide thrust in acceleration and turning degrees at high speeds,” the studio adds.

Like a Ferrari, the GTM is also fitted with its own version of aerodynamic wings, known as foils, that lift the hull up and out of the water when traveling at speed. As such, the yacht will fly over the waves with less drag and more speed than a traditional planing yacht. The studio has given the GTM an estimated top speed of 70 knots, which equates to 80 mph. That means the vessel is still a fraction slower than an old 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa , which could hit around 124 mph at full tilt.

At this stage, the dream machine will remain a dream—unless, of course, you want to turn the GTM into a reality and helm the Ferrari of the sea.

But one thing your average heavy-hitting YouTuber will not have is this: a yacht with space to put that Ferrari when you feel like hitting the ocean with champagne in one hand and a selfie stick in the other.

Here we have a yacht for the rich – with a space for the car of your dreams.

The Gran Turismo Mediterranea Is An 88-ft Super Yacht With A Supercar Garage

For just 10 million dollars this yacht could be yours – dreamed up by Italian Rome-based design company Lazzarini Design Studio – at this price you won’t need to cringe at adding the tiny additional cost of having a 300,000 dollar 710 hp Ferrari F8 on the rear deck.

At 88-ft long and weighing under 22 tons, the yacht – although it will spend a lot of time moored hosting parties – will be able to reach 85 mph with the assistance of a total engine output of 6600 hp.

In the promotional video , you can see the boat rendered in all its red and black glory, and we can see multiple cues on the outside which have drawn heavily from the classic supercar design ethos.

Starting up front, there are raked headlights that remind us of sleek LED lights you might find on the front of your Ferrari F8 or a Lamborghini Aventador, while there are supercar-style clamshell doors that open upwards.

From the front to the sides, double air scoops are very typical of supercar design, and ending up back, past the huge rear wing which is very reminiscent of a sports car, are multiple exits that look like exhaust pipes – no clue whether they are actually connected to the engines or not.

Also in the video, we’re treated to a glimpse of the ‘wings’ which expand from the yacht over 23 mph and lift it out of the water, which looks even more impressive.

It’s not just a well-resolved design - plenty of other over-the-top yachts look more ostentatious than this, except for the Ferrari on the back – there is plenty more inside for the owner or guests to enjoy,

Apart from the cabin for a crew of 2, presumably the captain and the chef -there are 3 to 4 bedrooms, smart minimalist décor including glass doors and partitions, and multiple levels for the various compartments, plus a living room.

In the renders, the living room is as detailed and comfy looking as most small city apartments, with a table and chairs, a workstation in the corner, and a welcoming bedroom at the front.

Apparently, the interior can be customized subject to the buyer’s requirements, if you can afford the boat then you can probably pay extra for a bar, massage table, and laser light show.

Inside the 90ft Ferrari-inspired hyperyacht – which even has room for your supercar

A NEW yacht which has been dubbed a hyperyacht has been revealed - and its like something out of a movie.

The racy new 9m superyacht design is a tribute to Ferrari, coming in the famous Rosso Corsa red.

The 90ft Gran Turismo Mediterranea (GTM) concept even features space for a Ferrari car for land-based adventures.

Inside is a racing-inspired cockpit as well as pilot seats and gullwing doors.

Onboard there are two double guest cabins, a main saloon as well as rooms for three crew members.

It is built from carbon fibre and even has a Ferrari badge on the front.

And unlike other yachts, it has aerodynamic wings which lets it glide over the waves at speeds of around 70 knots, working out to 80mph.

Rome-based Lazzarini Studios say the eye-catching vessel has been designed by taking inspiration from Maranello's latest hypercars and have dubbed it a 'hyperyacht'.

They added: “While the propellers are limited in steering, the jet will provide thrust in acceleration and turning degrees at high speeds."

The yacht remains as just a concept for now, with no plans for it to be built.

Lazzarini also revealed a concept superyacht designed for billionaires with a 200ft 'gaping hole' of empty space inside it.

Last month, the first images inside the biggest yacht in the world have been revealed ahead of its launch in 2024.

Somnio, when launched, will be both the largest and longest yacht in the world.

Commençons donc par le garage. 

Lazzarini a conçu l'arrière du bateau de manière à ce que vous puissiez littéralement conduire votre Ferrari à bord.

Tout comme les supercars, le yacht Ferrari a été conçu avec des ailes aérodynamiques. 

Selon Lazzarini , ces éléments contribuent à la capacité du yacht à atteindre sa vitesse maximale de 70 nœuds. 

La Gran Turismo Mediterranea est également dotée de portes massives à soufflet qui mènent à l'intérieur de l'habitacle.

La Ferrari des mers n'a pas de piscine ni de salle de cinéma comme d'autres superyachts, et elle n'a pas été conçue pour de longues explorations.

Il a été conçu pour la vitesse. 

Ainsi, le capitaine dispose d'un pont arrière épique avec des sièges baquets Ferrari à dossier haut.

Bien qu'il ne s'agisse pour l'instant que d'un concept, il s'agit bien d'une concurrence pour le superyacht Lamborghini 63 qui appartient à l'artiste martial Conor McGregor.

The logo on the front of Ferrari's latest product may actually be a seahorse, as brand appears to be planning a yacht

Ferrari is known for making super fast cars, and more recently SUVs too , but generally we associate the prancing horse with terrestrial pursuits. However, the Italian automaker may soon be expanding into the maritime realm, if a new teaser is anything to go on.

The Italian brand’s Instagram page has been flooded with a bevy of photos depicting churning water, and it has posted a short video showing what appears to be the blade of a hydrofoil. That all suggests that the brand’s logo may soon become a seahorse.

If that turns out to be the case, Ferrari would be anything but the first automaker to attach its name to a yacht . A quick look through our archive reveals that Bentley , Porsche , Lamborghini , and Mercedes-AMG branding (to name just a few examples) have all been applied to boats. Polestar technology has even gone into a hydrofoil.

Nor would this mark Ferrari’s first maritime endeavor. In the ’50s, Enzo Ferrari supplied Achille Castoldi with the 4.5-liter V12 from his racing team’s F1 car. The engine found its way into a boat that set a record of 150.49 mph (242.19 km/h) on Lake Iseo in Italy.

Later, in the ’90s, a limited run of Riva Ferrari 32 speedboats were created by the Italian companies. As Top Gear points out, the two remain official partners to this day, suggesting that Riva may be involved in this project.

Based on the teaser video, the companies may be working on a hydrofoil. This type of vessel uses wings under the water to lift the hull off the surface, significantly reducing hydrodynamic drag.

This would be a perfect time for Ferrari to unveil a new yacht. The automaker has been working to reorganize its branding department so that its logo is applied more carefully , and only to luxurious products.

Luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari enters world of sailing

Luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has announced plans to enter the world of sailing under the guidance of team principal and acclaimed navigator, Giovanni Soldini. The Maranello-based company's search for maximum performance at sea marks a new chapter in its longstanding history, which it hopes will simultaneously be "a stimulus in the evolution of its sports cars". 

The Prancing Horse will utilise cutting-edge technologies throughout the entire cycle, from conception and engineering to realisation.

The chairman of Ferrari, John Elkann, said: “We are about to embark on an exciting journey that will expand our racing soul. With this new competitive challenge, motivated by our innovative capacity and commitment to sustainability, we will push beyond current boundaries. We are happy to be able to count on Giovanni, who is extraordinary in terms of experience, determination and team spirit.”

Giovanni has over 30 years of solo and crewed ocean competition, including two solo around-the-world races. He commented: “I am thrilled to start this new adventure with Ferrari. We are working on an important and cutting-edge project with amazing technological potential that brings together different worlds and skills of the highest level. Working with an exceptional team in the research and development of innovative solutions that are respectful of our environment is a truly unique experience.”

Ferrari Is Building Its First Sailing Yacht for Ocean Racing

Ferrari is diving headfirst into the world of yachting.

The Prancing Horse announced on Wednesday that it is preparing to enter the world of competitive sailing, with noted yachtsman Giovanni Soldini serving as team principal.

"We are about to embark on an exciting journey that will expand our racing soul," Ferrari chairman John Elkann said in a statement . "With this new competitive challenge, motivated by our innovative capacity and commitment to sustainability, we will push beyond current boundaries."

Ferrari has competed in Formula 1 every season since the world championship began in 1950. It also made a successful return to endurance racing last year, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time in nearly 60 years. With such racing chops, Ferrari seems well-placed to expand from tracks and circuits to the high seas.

It helps that Soldini is an expert in the field. The Italian has more than 30 years of experience in ocean racing, competing in both solo and crewed events. He even has two round-the-world races under his belt.

"I am thrilled to start this new adventure with Ferrari," adds Soldini. "We are working on an important and cutting-edge project with an amazing technological potential that brings together different worlds and skills of the highest level."

Ferrari did not release any details regarding the yacht itself. It may not be surprising if the marque designed a high-speed foiling yacht for the America's Cup, though. Prominent teams in the prestigious sailing competition have already partnered with powerhouse F1 brands : Alinghi with Red Bull Racing, Luna Rossa with Pirelli, and INEOS with Mercedes-AMG Petronas.

The Prancing Horse clearly has the engineering prowess required to build an AC75 for the America's Cup. Considered the most complex racing yachts on the water, the 75-foot monohulled foilers "fly" across the water at speeds of up to 50 knots (58 mph). The marque could also be working on an F50 race boat for SailGP. Described as a hot-rod version of Cup racers, the 50-foot catamaran has thinner carbon-fiber "L" foils than the AC75 and is thus faster. It can also soar to 52 knots (60 mph).

That certainly sounds like a Ferrari.

First refuelling for Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov floating NPP

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactor units. In such reactors, nuclear fuel is not replaced in the same way as in standard NPPs – partial replacement of fuel once every 12-18 months. Instead, once every few years the entire reactor core is replaced with and a full load of fresh fuel.

The KLT-40S reactor cores have a number of advantages compared with standard NPPs. For the first time, a cassette core was used, which made it possible to increase the fuel cycle to 3-3.5 years before refuelling, and also reduce by one and a half times the fuel component in the cost of the electricity produced. The operating experience of the FNPP provided the basis for the design of the new series of nuclear icebreaker reactors (series 22220). Currently, three such icebreakers have been launched.

The Akademik Lomonosov was connected to the power grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020.

Electricity generation from the FNPP at the end of 2023 amounted to 194 GWh. The population of Pevek is just over 4,000 people. However, the plant can potentially provide electricity to a city with a population of up to 100,000. The FNPP solved two problems. Firstly, it replaced the retiring capacities of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is more than 70 years old. It also supplies power to the main mining enterprises located in western Chukotka. In September, a 490 km 110 kilovolt power transmission line was put into operation connecting Pevek and Bilibino.

The Discovery Bay Yacht Club Community Lighted Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, December 12. The parade is open to one and all. Just bring your dinghy, ski boat or Yacht decorated with lights.  If you are not going to be on a boat put on your party planning hat and send out your save the date! Lets get the houses on the route lit up as well.

The parade will start at its usual place, just off of Newport Lane on Kellogg Creek around 5:00PM.  We will monitor Channel 72 as always.  Due to Covid there are a few changes. There will not be a party as the Yacht Club afterwards and no awards handed out.

In the Moscow region there is a small cozy town Elektrostal. Its sights for the most part have no historical value due to the fact that the city has a relatively small history. But for a visiting tourist or city dweller, they will be of interest. There is something to see, where to go to have an exciting leisure time.

Today the population of the city is 158 thousand people. Until the beginning of the 20th century there were several small workers' settlements here. After the opening of the electrometallurgical and equipment factories, the place began to be called the natural boundary of Calm. The construction of the railway made this settlement accessible, and workers and families flocked here to earn money. In 1925, the station was named Elektrostal, and the rapid increase in population allowed the village to receive the status of a city.

The founder of the city is a prominent Russian industrialist Nikolai Vtorov. It was he who opened the plant here, creating, in fact, a city-forming enterprise that is still operating. In Soviet times, it was a closed facility, and it was not easy to get to work here.

Today Elektrostal is a promising industrial city with a great future and a heroic past. It bears the proud name "City of Military and Labor Glory".

Those who come to the city by train are met by a monument to the metallurgist. It was installed in November 2017 for the 100th anniversary of the Elektrostal plant. The attraction is made in the style of constructivism. The monument quickly won the love of the townspeople, because this city is supported by ordinary workers.

Elektrost altsy and the founding father of the plant, Nikolai Vtorov, are honored. In 2002, a monument was opened in honor of him, which became a landmark of the city of Elektrostal. The bronze sculpture is installed on the site where once stood a monument to the leader of the world proletariat, V. I. Lenin. Times change, characters change. Today, the plant, founded a century ago, is the largest in Russia. Vtorov himself, whose fortune was estimated at 60 million rubles in gold, according to Forbes magazine, was the owner of the largest capital at the beginning of the century. He was a banker, an industrialist, an entrepreneur, a man of action.

The monument was erected byinitiative of the townspeople who wished to perpetuate the monument to the great man.

One of the popular places for spending weekends and evenings among citizens and guests of the city is the Park of Culture and Leisure. Here you can ride attractions for children and adults, play slot machines, rollerblade or bike. The park is divided into two zones. Fans of unhurried walks in the fresh air make a promenade on the Quiet Alley, and those who prefer outdoor activities flock to the Entertainment Alley. The park has a summer stage, where concerts and cafes are regularly held.

Until 1999, there was no central museum among the attractions of Elektrostal in the Moscow Region. The expositions were exhibited in schools, the house of culture, in factory museums. The city was closed, so there was no large influx of tourists and visitors. The appearance of the historical and art museum made it possible for residents and guests of the city to learn a lot of useful information about their native land, the formation of the production process, and the difficult years of the war. The exposition consists of paintings by local artists, historical artifacts, household items, documents, books and much more. The collection is updated regularly. It also hosts outdoor exhibitions, which are always popular with the townspeople.

One of the main attractions of Elektrostal, the photo of which is available to almost every resident or visitor, is the Main Alley. On herpassers-by like to stroll along shady paths, townspeople rest by the fountain after a hard shift at the plant. Flower beds are the decoration of the alley. In 2006, a flower festival was held here for the first time, which has become traditional. Each enterprise of the city and private individuals give residents a real composition of fresh flowers, which pleases with bright colors all summer long. A riot of colors, aromas and a flight of fantasy reigns here. Walking through the park, you can see Snow White with a basket, a bright well, a multi-tiered cake made from fresh flowers, hearts of lovers or a fabulous house. It is almost impossible not to take a photo against the background of these compositions.

There is a cultural center in the city. It hosts performances by local creative teams and visiting stars, performances and circus performances.

In 1971, the ice palace "Crystal" was opened in the city. Almost immediately, a children's and youth hockey team was organized, which gained sports fame. This is the home sports arena for the Elektrostal hockey team. Matches of different levels are held on the ice.

Elektrostal is a city with a heroic past. During the war years, more than 12 thousand citizens came to the recruiting station and went to the front to defend their homeland. Almost 4 thousand of them did not return from the battle. To these heroesdedicated to the memorial complex with the inextinguishable Eternal Flame, opened in 1968

But the electricians took part in the war in Afghanistan and Chechnya. By decision of the city authorities, their memory is also immortalized in the memorial complex.

It has become a good tradition for newlyweds to lay flowers at this monument.

In 1999, a museum and exhibition complex was opened in the city, where, in addition to the exhibition hall, there are numerous circles for children, classes for young people, and a creative workshop. Various festivals, exhibitions, city holidays and other events are held within the walls and on the territory of the complex, which attract many spectators.

Listing the sights of Elektrostal, it is impossible not to mention the temples. There are several of them in the city: the church of St. John of Kronstadt, St. Andrew's Church, the hospital church of St. Panteleimon. Another new church is being built.
