Willkommen im Niendorfer Yacht-Club

… wer diese Backbordtonne (53° 59′ 71″ N, 10° 48′ 25″ E) passiert hat, hat es nicht mehr weit bis in den Clubhafen des Niendorfer Yacht-Clubs (NYC) in dem kleinen Ostseebadeort Niendorf/Ostsee. Seit über 600 Jahren bietet dieser Ort mit seinem Fischereihafen, gelegen zwischen den nur wenige Kilometer entfernten Badeorten Travemünde und Timmendorfer Strand, den Fischern und – seit mehreren Jahr- zehnten – vielen Sportbootfahrern Schutz.

Niendorf  hat seinen reizvollen Flair als Fischerort erhalten. Die geschützte Lage vor Wind und Wellen erkannten die ersten Mitglieder (1926) des Altonaer Jacht-Clubs (AJC), gegründet 1913, und verlegten nach und nach ihre Boote von der Elbe in den neuen kleinen Hafen in Niendorf, was dazu führte, dass der AJC zum NYC (1934) umgetauft wurde. Und dieser kleine Club feierte 2013 sein 100-jähriges Jubiläum.

Der idyllisch gelegene Sportboothafen des NYC erwartet Sie kurz nach der Einfahrt in den Fischereihafen an der Steuerbordseite. Die Mitglieder sind stolz auf den kleinen Hafen, der auch Gastliegern Plätze, gepflegte Sanitäranlagen und ein gemütliches Clubhaus mit seiner für gutes Essen bekannten Gastronomie bietet. Der abendliche Sonnenuntergang, genossen von der Dachterrasse des Clubhauses mit einem herrlichen Blick über die Ostsee, wird in bester Erinnerung bleiben.
