Holidays/holiday weekends rates $850  gas included in all rentals and charters  , security deposit: a refundable deposit of $500 is required for all boat rentals. when the boat is returned in the same condition as prior to rental, then your deposit will be refunded within 72 hours. cancellations/refunds: all cancellations within the 72 hours of booking is eligible for a full refund. cancellations made after 72 hours will be charged an $100 fee. this fee will be deducted from your booking fee.  , arrivals: on the day of your booking, you will receive an email with instructions on where to access the boat. please arrive 30 min before your booking time. in the event you are running late please call or text us. no additional time will be provided as we have other bookings. captain fee: captain is provided and a fee for 2-4 hour bookings are $100 and 8 hour booking are $175.  , follow us  on ig.

Robin (Steward)

If you would like to step the service up to the highest level, you may opt to have a steward onboard your yacht. Our steward Robin has over 20 years experience in the guest service and hospitality industry, serving as a flight attendant, and working with boats for the last five years. She is available to help serve your meals, assist with drinks, water toys etc. she is CPR AED, and basic emergency medical service trained. You can book a stewards service for a flat $150 / 4 hours or $200 / 8 hours.

Best experience I’ve had in years! Perfect timing, best prices, and not to mention an amazing boat! He was very friendly and the lake was amazing! I recommend any and everyone to book with him! Dwayne was/is amazing. He communicated exactly what was needed for booking an addition to work with me through inclement weather. We discuss changes with time and meeting locations and he has never not gotten back to me within a timely manner! The boat was clean and exactly what was advertising the posting. Upon arrival, he was very detailed with locations of supplies and even recommended top places to go to. I really enjoyed my experience, and I will be booking in the future.

Chris was the perfect captain. Great communication, friendly and safe. He took care of everything and checked in to make sure we were having a good time. He’ll be my first choice the next time we rent a boat.

Chris was absolutely fantastic! He helped save our day when the boat that we had booked a week prior suddenly backed out at the last minute. Willing to work with us late on a Friday night, we were able to book with Chris and another boat renter (Noreisis/Moe, who is also fantastic) to still have our boat day with our guests coming from out of town. Chris was very great at communicating with us, and we enjoyed the afternoon we were out - we wish we could have stayed out longer! I would strongly recommend Chris to anyone considering him for their boat day, and can't wait for the next time we book with him.

Bryan and Blake were fantastic! We had a full day of a stress free, chill, and comfortable day. They were friendly and it was truly our vacation where we got to choose what we do. When you come aboard the Carolina Tiki we always try our best to make your day as memorable as possible. Being a family owned business is a large part of our business model and we strive to give all of our guests the same treatment that we would our own family. Every charter on our 41 foot pontoon boat comes with a U.S. Coast Guard licensed master captain and a first mate who will make sure you can sit back, relax and a have a stress free day on the water. Whether you want to take your kids out for an awesome day full of water sports and sun, invite some old friends out for a day full of drinking or watch the horizon as the sun starts to disappear over the beautiful Lake Norman water our captained charters will be able to accommodate you. 

Our 41 foot pontoon boat has had a lot of experience on the Lake Norman waters. The Carolina Tiki was originally the old dinner boat from a restaurant on the shoreline of Lake Norman called the Blue Parrot. After sitting unused for almost two decades, we purchased the vessel and got to work resurrecting the old dinosaur to be able to do charters on Lake Norman. After almost a year in the making, we had completely tore down and rebuilt the boat to accommodate groups looking to enjoy a more relaxed vibe on the water. 

Our charters consist of 4, 6 and 8 hour time slots, which allows you to really make the most out of your time on the boat. Whether you're a local in the area just looking for something to do for the day, celebrating a birthday or throwing a bachelorette party, our captain and first mate will go above and beyond to give you the best day possible and make the charter tailored to you and your group.

The boat is so clean and nice! Chris and Austin were so good with both the adults (tossing us fresh drinks when we were in the water) and the 4 kids under 5 that we had (from getting out fun water toys to swinging a little one to sleep in a hammock). Being a family owned and operated business means that most of these people are the ones who are closest to us. We can't wait to meet you and make your charter on gorgeous Lake Norman something to remember. 

Captain Chris

Chris is an extremely knowledgeable USCG certified captain who served our military as an avionics tech in the air force when he was younger. After he completed his time in the military he started to work as an air traffic control officer all throughout the country. Eventually he settled in Charlotte and became the manager of the entire air traffic control tower at the Charlotte Douglas airport. After retiring at the air traffic control tower, he decided to do the Great American Loop with his wife Angela and their son Sebastian. Chris is always looking for an adventure and can not wait to greet all the guests who get on board for their charter. If you ever have any question or need anything Chris will not hesitate to help. 

Captain Austin

Austin is a full time student at UNCC studying business finance. Austin has a few roles on the Carolina Tiki, whether that be as a first mate, a captain or managing the social media accounts, he can do it all. When Carolina Tiki first started, Austin, and his father Jason were the ones who got to work remodeling. Once the boat was ready for captained charters he started as a first mate, doing charters with captain Chris or Jason. During the winter of 2022 he got his USCG Master captains license and has been captaining more and more charters. Austin will always greet guests with open arms and will not hesitate to help with anything you may need. 

Captain Jason

Jason and his wife Lisa founded the Carolina Tiki and have grown it into what it is today. After purchasing the boat and remodeling it, Jason was the first master captain to take groups out on charters aboard the Carolina Tiki with his son, Austin as the first mate. Jason also owns and operates his own construction business called Kraft Construction as the general contractor. With this being said, Jason has taken a step back from captaining due to his trust in Austin and Chris and to focus more on Kraft Construction. However if you call over the phone Jason may be the one to answer and take care of all of your questions and needs. 

Lisa is part owner along with her husband Jason and handles all of our in house operations. This includes the booking process, sending emails and answering phone calls. Lisa also works as a 1st grade teacher at J.V. Washam, a school in the Lake Norman area. If you ever have any questions about how to book or anything specific before your charter Lisa will always be more than happy to help. 

Charlee Kraft

Charlee is our first mate in training. She's in first grade right now at J.V. Washam and loves puppies. She is always practicing how to drive the boat with the supervision of her brother, Austin and she gets better every time. Be on the lookout because Charlee may be on a charter with you soon!

Reservations must be booked 48 hours in advance. Security deposit is required. 8 guest maximum. Guests must be 21 or older. Food and drinks are allowed. No pets allowed. We can accommodate special occasions with an advance notice (birthday, anniversary, graduation, engagement etc.)

CANCELLATION POLICY

All booking reservation deposits are non-refundable. To request cancellation for your reservation please email us at [email protected]. If your trip must be cancelled due to weather conditions, we will offer alternate dates to reschedule.

WEATHER POLICY

We operate rentals rain or shine. If hazardous conditions are present during the time of your rental and prevent departure, we will gladly offer you a raincheck. Hazardous weather conditions are considered constant thunderstorms, heavy rain, or high wind conditions. We do not waive our cancellation policy and related fees for forecasted inclement weather. Due to weather uncertainty we highly recommend waiting until the morning of your rental to contact us if you are concerned about weather conditions.

This house totally lived up to the pictures. Great view. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Comfortable furnishings all around. We’ve been renting vacation homes for 20+ years, and Blue Heron Bliss is one of the best! The supply of essential spices was a nice plus.

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful house with everything we needed and more. The deck was outstanding! It was very difficult for us to pull ourselves away from the deck to enjoy the other amenities. Sunsets are breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Lake Shore Getaway

My close friends and I enjoyed the beautiful house and had a great time on the lake. We rented a boat and enjoyed tubing and wakeboarding. The house had everything we needed and was so much fun. Sat around the firepit every night and enjoyed grilling out. We will come back again.

Barefoot Cove

This is the most beautiful home in a quiet cove right on Lake Norman. It's only a quick jet ski, boat, car ride away from The Blue Parrot, Toucans, and Apps and Taps. The amenities are amazing including air hockey, shuffle board, and old school pin pall and pac man machines. We also used the firepit and kayaks a lot. The staff is very responsive via text messages. I stayed with my family who came down from Ohio and they didn't want to leave.

Bedrooms amazing...really amazing!! They always say: "Location, location, location..." and this place is that! The location on the lake is on a beautiful point that offers views of the open water and sunsets to die for. It is in a great location on the lake to take advantage of boating to different restaurants and seeing the sights, or just hanging out and swimming or fishing right off the dock. We went with a group of friends and the house accommodated the 10 of us very comfortably. The beautifully appointed rooms, the fully stocked kitchen, and lots of different spaces to have fun and enjoy time together. Can't want to come back! Bedrooms

Bedrooms blown away!! Wow, can not believe my stay at Chasestone Peninsula. From the moment I drove through the gate my family and friends immediately felt like we were on a private secluded resort. Chasestone is on a peninsula at the edge of the water... offering complete privacy as you have water on all sides. The house has everything you could ever think of; movie room, massive game room, unbelievable bunk bed room and so much more. My friends and family will never forget our stay! We will surely be back! Bedrooms look no further...but read the review.  wow! This home has it all! Amazing view of Lake Norman. The open floor plan is perfect for larger groups. The teens loved the downstairs game room while the adults gathered upstairs to watch a football game on the VERY large screen television. The dining room table and benches were great for us all to play card games. This home is very well furnished and maintained. The kitchen is well stocked and VERY organized. Most of the bedrooms have a view of the lake. A big plus was the large driveway with parking for at least five cars. No having to move cars to let others out. We will definitely return. Bedrooms

Bedrooms best rental ever!! Stunningly beautiful! Talk about a 'wow' factor... the front door opens up to a beautiful view of Lake Norman. This was the nicest rental we've ever stayed in. Everything was high-end... well appointed in every area. Every detail thought out. Even the beds were top notch and really comfortable. There were 14 of us and we all fit with plenty of room to spare. Our ages ranged from 7 - 65, and everyone had a great time and enjoyed the property. Made us want to buy a new house! Bedrooms unbelievable!! Let me start off by saying I honestly have never wrote a review about a place I have stayed before, but this experience was too amazing not to. My wife and I got married close to this house and so the wedding party stayed at Kempton Cove. The house was amazing. It has 2 houses on the property, which was perfect to separate the two parties before our big day. We had beautiful sunsets and memories on the their small beach and fire pit. It was the best weekend. Stay lake Norman helped us with every accommodation we asked for and was always there to answer our phone call to answer questions They constantly texted us leading up to our stay and during to make it a memorable weekend. Bedrooms Another Perfect Rental with staylakenorman! This is the second house we have rented with Stay Lake Norman and both times have been excellent. It was a perfect family Christmas. The house was gorgeous and spacious with a beautiful Christmas tree. We loved the wide open lake view, the fire pit, the ping pong table, and all the special touches provided with the rental.
