At Crystal Coast Boat Charters and Rentals, we strive to provide our customers with a hassle free day on the water.  We are committed to providing guests with unique experiences that are unparalleled to any other boat charter or rental company.  All custom tours include gas, and use of equipment such as beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys so that you can spend the day making memories with family and friends.   Even food and drinks can be ordered from local restaurants and waiting for you at the launch site. All you need to bring is a desire for fun in the sun.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is there a reservation fee? There is no reservation fee. We get your credit card number to hold the reservation but do not charge anything to it until we meet at the dock.
  • How many people can the boat hold? We have boats ranging from 18 to 24 feet to accommodate most parties. The maximum crew allowed is 12 passengers. The largest boat will hold up to 12 passengers with a combination of adults and children under the age of 12.
  • Where can I go? Rentals can spend the day cruising the waters of the Intracoastal Waterway and Bogue Sound from Channel Marker 27 to Hammock’s Beach area. We ask that you stay within marked channels. There are great beaches to find sharks’ teeth, sand dollars, and shells around Marker 45. A chart of the area can be found here.
  • Is there a cancellation fee? If we need to cancel because of weather conditions, there is no fee. We will try to move you to another day. If you cancel within 24 hours of a rental, you will be charged full price unless we can book the boat with another party (we haven’t had to charge anyone yet!).
  • Can I have a Captain drive my party around? Per USCG regulations, only parties of six or fewer passengers can have a Captain.

Book your fishing trip with captain will at emerald isle fishing charters today we will supply all the bait, tackle and ice you need. all you need is snacks, drinks, sunscreen and a small cooler to take your fish home. fishing trips are priced for 3 people, one additional person may be added for $50. up to 6 people, (call captain to inquire about available fisheries.), 4 hour trip – $500, 6 hour trip – $700.

In the event of inclement weather we will try to reschedule for another date or postpone rental until weather passes.  If we cannot book you for another date we gladly refund your deposit immediately.  Inclement weather is thunder/lightning, heavy rain, or high wind conditions. ​ We do not cancel rentals based on a forecast!

Payment and Cancellation Policies:

 There is a 5 day minimum cancellation policy on boat rentals reservations.  If you cancel within 5 days of your designated rental date, you will be charged full rental price however,  we will always work with you and do our best to replace your rental with another party if possible.   ​​

It’s a great spot to stop for scenic views of the water and the surrounding landscape. The Jean Preston Memorial Park is on the opposite side of the ramp parking lot.  We’ve included the channel markers here to help you navigate from the sound out to the Intracoastal Waterway.

The policy was written from the ground up as a stand-alone recreational boat rental insurance policy covering the period of time that the boat is being rented and is available for all non-commercially insured boats.

Does Boatsetter screen renters?

Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.
