California Contemporary. Presenting airy, contemporary interiors with panoramic views of the Marina, Cast & Plow specializes in community-made, locally sustainable cuisine. Its 80 indoor and outdoor seats allow for dining and gathering at patio, terrace, fire pit, fireplace, bar, restaurant, communal table, and private locations. Each setting offers the restaurant’s full breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine and bar menu. Cast & Plow is inspired by Southern California’s small plate communal dining experience. Its menu of familiar and international dishes is set apart by an approachable style of artisan cooking. Total seating up to 169 with outdoor flexible spaces.

FantaSea Yachts

FantaSea Yachts is a family-owned and -operated business established in 1980 and a premier yacht charter and special event company in Marina del Rey. FantaSea’s three large yachts are ideal locations for corporate meetings, celebrations, weddings, and all special events for groups of 50–300. FantaSea also offers a superyacht for up to 12 VIP guests. FantaSea provides a wonderful range of food and beverage options and can assist with any entertainment and AV needs. 

Killer Shrimp

California Contemporary, Seafood. This two-story harborfront restaurant features exceptional food and marina views. In addition to its main dining room, Killer Shrimp has two flexible banquet spaces accommodating corporate and social groups. The L-shaped Overkill Room has a dance floor and screen for presentations. The new Killer Yacht Club works well for smaller groups. Killer Shrimp’s Bar and Main Dining Room are available for large party bookings up to 30 people. Its sports lounge and patio are also available for events. Total seating up to 275.

Marina Grill & Bar

California Contemporary. The Marina Grill & Bar invites you to discover the freshest flavors in Marina del Rey. Choose from an unmatched breakfast buffet, enjoy daily happy hour specials and discover classic entrées with California flair. In addition to restaurant dining, Marina Grill & Bar offers evening room service and on-site catering for your event needs. Total seating up to 180.

California Contemporary. Located inside the Marina del Rey Hotel, SALT Restaurant & Bar seeks to inspire guests with an innovative take on modern American cuisine. Trendy indoor seating with an option of two waterfront patios, including six fire pit seating areas. Total seating up to 80; outdoor flexible spaces can accommodate more.

Sinder Lounge

Sinder is located directly on property at the Marriott Marina Del Rey and is an outdoor lounge that invites you into a space filled with warming colors, fire and water features and a hip sense of tranquility energizing everything within reach. Sinder offers a full menu for dinner or light snacks, wine, specialty cocktails, bottle service and private cabana seating. Total seating 280.

Italian. Located waterfront in Fisherman’s Village, this sophisticated, welcoming restaurant has an outdoor waterside patio adjacent to the main dining room. Total seating 90 (45 outdoors). 

Tony P's Dockside Grill

California Contemporary. Located waterfront near California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, this casual, popular restaurant has a covered heated deck with marina and sunset views, and an adjacent sports tavern with 28 screens. The Dockside Room is lined with windows and can be combined with the tavern for larger groups. A/V available. Total seating 306.

The Warehouse Restaurant

Steak & Seafood. Located on the marina’s waterfront, this is a relaxed, Polynesian-themed restaurant resembling a warehouse on a pier, with crates, barrels, nautical décor and an interesting koi pond lagoon at the entrance. A large H-shaped, open second floor with bar and elevator access is available for private parties. Total seating 450 (80 outdoors).

Whiskey Red's

Boating History of Marina del Rey

Marina del Rey harbor was constructed at the mouth of the Los Angeles River, from 1887 to 1890. This project cost approximately $300,000, the modern-day equivalent of a whopping $9,356,084! A horrific storm ravaged the wharf during its early days and destroyed all of the original harbors.

It wasn’t until 1936 that Congress would reconsider the construction of this small craft harbor. Marina del Rey formally opened on April 10th, 1965. At the time, it was the largest artificial small craft marina in the world at 800 acres. Now, it is the largest in North America.

Marina del Rey is known for its pleasantly warm and sunny weather, the iconic amusement pier, three miles of beach, and almost 250 acres of sand. You can see approximately 5,000 boats in and around the harbor at any given time.

SALT is a sleek and chic bar and restaurant that sits right next to the Marina del Ray marina and hotel. It offers up delicious brunches filled with ricotta toast, pancakes, omelets, smoked salmon benedict, fruit plates, acai bowls, salads, club sandwiches, pastries, parfaits, and even an espresso pot de creme dessert.

People rave about their iced coffees and the overall vibe and aesthetic of the venue. The views are great, and the patio feels very luxurious and lush. They’re on the Northwest side of Basin G, next to the hotel. The street address is 13534 Bali Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292.

4. Killer Shrimp

Killer Shrimp is a seafood restaurant that focuses on “peel n’ eat” shrimp and curating that perfectly fun happy hour atmosphere. The Lobster Mac and Cheese Croquettes are unbelievably good, and so is the french bread.

You can get dine-in, take-out, or even order for delivery. If you have the time, sit out on their gorgeous patio area and take in the sights of Marina del Rey. You have a great view of Basin E and the California Yacht Club across the basin.

5. KazuNori: The Original Hand Roll Bar

KazuNori is an unforgettably good sushi restaurant that offers dine-in and carry-out. Service is always fast and friendly, and people love their salmon and Toro rolls. Everyone talks about how incredibly fresh the food tastes. The seaweed is crisp, and the fish are served at the perfect temperature. And the crab rolls are on point.

The restaurant has a modern-minimalist aesthetic that is clean, somewhat casual, and refreshing. Sit at the main bar or find a table off to the side. You can find them on the eastern side of Basin G, adjacent to the South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club.

Marina del Rey boating rules & regulations

Marina del Rey is home to thousands of boat lovers and a vacation oasis for even more visitors and vacationers. If you want to be a part of the boating community here, you should brush up on the rules for this bay to keep yourself and others safe! We’ve gathered a few important rules and regulations for you to review:

• The maximum harbor speed is five nautical miles per hour; this is a no- wake zone.
• All black and greywater (boat and porta-potty waste) must be properly disposed of in a designated pump-out station or by a designated mobile service.
• Anchoring is strictly prohibited.
• Do not ride bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, or motorcycles on the docks or gangways.
• Fishing is prohibited from the docks.
• Vessels cannot extend more than four feet from the dock slip it is parked in.
• Only minor emergency repairs and washdown are allowed within the slips.
• Pets must be on a leash at all times when on the docks.

Killer Yacht Club is our speakeasy that lives just behind a moving wall of wine racks and is truly our location’s hidden gem. Opened in 2019, this venue has large, plush booths and oversized Timothy Alton chesterfield leather sofas, making every table VIP.

The state-of-the-art sound system and our rock star-worthy acoustics have attracted drop-ins and jam sessions with artists from bands like Pink Floyd, Jane’s Addiction and private parties for bands such as Rush.

This intimate venue holds up to 99 guests and is perfect for private events, date nights and after-dinner cocktails with friends. We have live music Thursday through Saturday and a special comedy night hosted every Wednesday.

Great View but Club is too cheap to turn on the air conditioning or heat as needed. Mediocre food. I have only been a guest several times, so I am not a member. Miss the Marina City Club Restaurant.

Located adjacent to Burton Chase Park in Marina del Rey, SMWYC.org offers some of the best sunset views you'll find of the marina. The drinks are stiff, the beer is cold. The lunch menu offers a variety of reasonably priced sandwiches and plates - my favorite is the 1941 burger cooked medium. Dinner menu varies based on chef's offerings. Double check the hours of operation for seasonal schedule changes.

Attended for a networking function, absolutely fabulous food and wine. Watch the sunset behind the harbor and the mountains in the distance while you enjoy all the atmosphere this place has to offer. If you are looking for a nice venue that isn't stuffy look no further. For all of you millennials out there: Instagram worthy!

I been in a lot of yacht clubs and this one hast a breathtaking view, the hamburger 1941 is just amazing! The baja Fish tacos best in town and the fresh mojitos just paradise!! If you're not a member still can rent the venue for a party

I went for the first time on July 2, 2021. I liked the band. Venue is cozy and nice. Food and drinks were good...when I got them and that is my problem with this venue event. Service was very slow. Staff was overwhelmed by the amount of customers that were there. I saw 1 bartender, 1 manager and 1 server. I suppose they had cooks in the back but that was it. It took anywhere from10-20 minutes to go stand in line at the bar to get a drink. Food took 1 hour. I did enjoy the band. Staff was fast friendly and apologetic about the lack of speed which is why I won't give the the 1 star. I saw 4 people complain to the manager or staff. I'm sure there were more. I'm hoping this was a fluke and they do better in the future. If there is some who works that monitors this I would love to know why this venue was not adequately staffed?

The best yacht club in Marina del Rey! Why, you ask? LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! It is unbelievably located directly adjacent to Burton Chase Park. This yacht club has membership at any level whether you own a boat or not. There is a fantastic second floor full bar and restaurant with live music and event space. Unbelievable food made by Chef Israel, a culinary genius. I recommend the Avocado Ice Cream!!! Very delicious, very unique. Tell them Kittysmack sent you and Danny will get your first round on me after you join as a member.

This place is awesome! By far the best yacht club in Los Angeles. It's not a snooty overpriced restaurant that has a few boats sitting on the side. This is a place is great if you really want to sail and hang out with people that want to sail.

I had my wedding reception at Windjammers in late June. I was so happy with the experience. Israel was very attentive and accommodating. I had many questions for him, especially because I had to do most of the planning while in another state. I was happy. They even organized parking to make it easier for my guest. I highly recommend SMWYC if you are looking for a space to hold an event.
