FORCE BLUE yacht is Bernie Eccelstone’s $20 Million superyacht. The striking yacht was delivered in 2002 from the Danish shipyard, Royal Denship, and features interior design from Rune Design, Laura Sessa Romboli, and Celeste Dell`Anna.

The sticking exterior of the yacht was developed by Tom Fexas Yacht Design and Ole Steen Knudsen.

The vessel is perfectly designed for entertainment on the water, with plenty of family-friendly spaces for a true superyacht lifestyle experience.

The interior of the FORCE BLUE yacht features magnificent designs from Rune Design, Laura Sessa Romboli , and Celeste Dell`Anna .

The vessel has accommodation for 12 guests in 6 cabins one VIP cabin, three double cabins, and one twin cabin.

There are crew accommodations for 17 crew members. The superyacht is packed with luxury features, from a well-appointed library that offers a relaxing spot, the movie theatre to wind down after a long day, or the dance floor where guests can dance the night away.

The extravagance continues in a full spa with a sauna and a dip in the jacuzzi. The spa includes a hammam, mud bath, and sauna pool.

There is also a gym for guests to catch a workout. The FORCE BLUE is packed with water toys for fun on the water.

These toys include a collection of towable toys, diving equipment, a sea bob, paddleboards, and much more. The FORCE BLUE yacht is also wheelchair friendly.

She features extensive exterior spaces for the perfect event charter and has a light and refreshing interior that guests can enjoy.

FORCE BLUE is the perfect yacht to hold events on as the aft bridge deck has a full bar and reception area for 60 guests.

The exterior of the FORCE BLUE yacht was designed by Tom Fexas Yacht Design and Ole Steen Knudsen .

She features a royal blue steel hull in a white aluminum superstructure. Her hull is a full displacement hull, making her more stable while at anchor.

She was first built in 2002 by the Danish shipyard, Royal Denship. She later went through a refit at the beginning of 2022.

She was built as a part of Royal Densip’s expedition series, which include the yachts, TURMOIL, and BIG ARON. The shape of the yacht is a trawler expedition-style for adventure purposes.

FORCE BLUE yacht specifications

The FORCE BLUE yacht has a length of 63.3m, a beam of 11.38m, and a draft of 2.95m. She has a displacement of 1325 gross tons and is fitted with twin Caterpillar engines .

She comfortably cruises at 14 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots.

She has a range of up to 8000 nautical miles. She features an onboard stabilization system that ensures comfort for guests while at sea.

La corte d’appello di Genova ha assolto Flavio Briatore e altre tre persone «perché il fatto non costituisce reato» nel processo sulla vicenda dello yacht Force Blue. Briatore era a processo per una evasione fiscale di oltre 3 milioni sull’Iva e per l’attività di charter. Il maxi yacht era stato sequestrato nel 2010, al largo della Spezia, mentre il manager era a bordo con Elisabetta Gregoraci e il figlio. I giudici hanno revocato la confisca dell’imbarcazione e dei 3 milioni e 600 mila euro. La Cassazione aveva annullato la sentenza della Corte d’Appello che condannava Briatore a 18 mesi e aveva ordinato un nuovo processo.

Anche la procura generale aveva chiesto l’assoluzione e la revoca della confisca. La sentenza diventa così definitiva. Per quanto concerne invece la confisca, l’Avvocatura di Stato potrebbe impugnare la decisione. Il Force Blue era stato venduto un anno fa all’asta e se lo era aggiudicato l’ex patron della Formula 1 Bernie Ecclestone per sette milioni a fronte di una stima di 20 milioni. La Cassazione aveva annullato per due volte le decisioni dei magistrati genovesi.

«Nel maggio 2010 la Guardia di Finanza mi ha sequestrato la barca e sui media di tutto il mondo usciva la notizia che ero un evasore fiscale. Oggi, dopo 12 anni e 6 processi, si è finalmente accertata la mia innocenza. Un vero calvario che si è fortunatamente concluso».

Così Flavio Briatore commenta la notizia dell’assoluzione da parte della Corte d’appello di Genova nel processo sulla vicenda dello yacht Force Blue. «Ringrazio tutti i professionisti che mi hanno seguito in questa storia: Franco Coppi Massimo Pellicciotta, Fabio Lattanzi, Giuseppe Sciacchitano, Andrea Vernazza ed Andrea Parolini», aggiunge.

“E’ inaccettabile che si sia venduto lo yacht prima della definitività della causa. Ora l’armatore e Briatore hanno diritto a un adeguato ristoro”. E’ il commento dell’avvocato Massimo Pelliccio che insieme al professore Franco Coppi, ha assistito il manager. L’imbarcazione di lusso era stata venduta all’asta per sette milioni di euro, a fronte di un valore reale stimato in 20, e se l’era aggiudicata Bernie Ecclestone. La corte d’appello, su segnalazione del custode giudiziario, aveva deciso per la vendita per il rischio di degrado del Force Blue, il 78esimo superyacht più grande al mondo. “Finalmente una sentenza che rende giustizia - ha continuato il legale -. E’ un processo che dopo 12 anni vede una assoluzione definitiva, assoluzione che era evidente fin dall’inizio”. Gli altri imputati assolti sono difesi dagli avvocati Fabio Lattanzi, Siniscalchi, Andrea Vernazza, Giuseppe Sciacchitano e Cesare Manzitti.

Sei decisioni e un rimpallo tra corte d’appello e Cassazione per arrivare a una sentenza definitiva nella vicenda del Force Blue. L’inchiesta era partita nel 2010 con il sequestro dello yacht al largo della Spezia. Secondo l’accusa originaria Briatore era amministratore di fatto e proprietario della Autumn Sailing Limited, la società con sede nelle Isole Vergini Britanniche, proprietaria dell’imbarcazione che organizzava i charter, e, quindi, effettivo proprietario e armatore.

L’accusa iniziale era quella di aver simulato un’attività commerciale di noleggio che avrebbe consentito di utilizzare l’imbarcazione, iscritta in un Paese extracomunitario, per uso diportistico in acque territoriali italiane dal luglio 2006 al maggio 2010 senza versare la dovuta Iva all’importazione per 3,6 milioni di euro. Gli indagati erano stati quindi accusati di avere indebitamente goduto di agevolazioni fiscali compreso l’aver indicato l’uso di carburante come esente dalle accise.

Un’altra accusa era quella di emissione di fatture per operazioni inesistenti. Oltre a Briatore erano stati indagati il comandante dello yacht Ferdinando Tarquini e gli amministratori che si sono avvicendati nella società. Questi ultimi sono Maria Pia De Fusco e Dominique Warluzel. La Cassazione aveva annullato per due volte le sentenze d’appello imponendo nuovi processi.

YACHTS AND TAX EVASION. 4-YEAR PRISON TERM ASKED FOR FLAVIO BRIATORE

During the appeal process against the Italian tycoon Flavio Briatore charged with suspected tax evasion, Prosecutor General Giuseppa Geremia asked for a 4-year prison term for the businessman. It’s undoubtedly a much heavier sentence  than the one-year-and-eleven-month suspended sentence inflicted by the judge at the first trial.

Flavio Briatore, one among the lead characters of both business community and Italian “ Vita Smeralda “, is charged for tax fraud over the rental of luxury yacht “Force Blue” (formerly Big Roi ), a 63-metre explorer launched by Royal Denship in 2002 and rebaptised by the Italian manager in 2006 ( it is no coincidence that the initials of the boat are the same than his name: FB).

The yacht was seized by financial police in May 2010 while Briatore’s wife Elisabetta Gregoraci and their infant were on board. Promptly reported by all the Italian newspapers and media of the time, the police operation was carried out off the Ligurian city of La Spezia and immediately caused great controversy.

“I used the yacht only for rental purposes. I’m not a tax evader, I thought everything was ok. If I had been required to pay taxes by the Italian financial police, I would have done it with no problems “, Briatore said to preliminary hearing judge Nadia Magrini.

The businessman and former F1 team manager of Cuneo is not the only person involved in the affair. After Prosecutor General Geremia and public prosecutors Patrizia Petruzziello and Walter Cotugno’s charges, further imprisonment requests have been filed for both the captain of the yacht and the administrators of Autumn Sailing Ltd , the owner’s company. More specifically: three years and eight months for Ferdinando Tarquini , the captain of Force Blue yacht, who had received the same sentence than Briatore after the first trial; two years and six months for Dominique Warluzel (one-year-and-eleven-month suspended sentence had already been decided during the first trial) and two years for Maria Pia De Fusco, already sentenced to pay a fine of seven million euros.

The reason for the action and subsequent charge was the accusation that Briatore used the yacht for recreational, instead of commercial, purposes in Italy’s territorial waters between 2006 and 2010. According to prosecutors, Briatore wouldn’t have paid the appropriate amount of taxes on the fuel used by the yacht. As for charter activities, in fact, fuel benefits from a considerable excise duty reduction which makes it 50% less expensive than usual. Furthermore, Briatore would have registered the yacht to a charter company in a tax haven and the company would have enjoyed a number of tax breaks that would not have been eligible for a single owner and personal use.

Only no-paid VAT indeed requires a payment of 3.6 million euros .

Prosecutors have also asked the court to charge Briatore with transnational crimes since he could have worked with foreign partners as well as the requisition of the yacht . The trial will continue next May 30th.

Briatore's explorer yacht Force Blue still for charter, discount offered

Following the news that  Flavio Briatore is appealing a tax fraud conviction  over use of 63.22 metre  Force Blue ,  Fraser Yachts  has clarified the situation for current and forthcoming charter enquiries and bookings.

" Force Blue  was originally seized on 20 May 2010 and legal proceedings are ongoing and have not yet come to a final conclusion," a spokesman for Fraser Yachts told  Boat International .  " Force Blue  has been authorised by the court to carry out charter activities during this period and charters are continuing without interference and very successfully."

Force Blue  is now available for charter in the West Med from August 31 with a reduced rate of €195,000 per week, down from the peak price of €245,000 per week.

Delivered by the Royal Denship yard in 2002 and refitted in 2009,  Force Blue  enjoys a reputation as a multi-faceted charter yacht.

Although classed as an explorer yacht, she has a palatial interior by Celeste dell’Anna giving her all the amenities of a five star hotel. Twelve guests can take their ease in six generous cabins consisting of a master suite on the main deck with a spa pool while below lie a VIP suite, three doubles and a twin convertible to a double, all with entertainment centres and full en suite bathroom facilities.

An experienced crew of 19 include a masseuse/beautician and guests are encouraged to take full advantage of the extensive on board spa facilities including a steam shower, Hammam, mud bath, sauna, Jacuzzi, hydro massage and a massage room. This yacht for charter also features a fully equipped gymnasium, a cinema and an elevator between decks.

The vast deck spaces aboard Force Blue come into their own during static charters at Mediterranean events such as the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival where she can host receptions for up to 350 guests at a time. In addition, the upper aft deck can offer al fresco dining for up to 60 guests. After dinner, this deck can be transformed into a nightclub with a professional DJ station, neon strobe lights and a full sound system.

Former Formula 1 patron Bernie Ecclestone bought Flavio Briatore’s yacht

The story involved two of the most famous names in Formula 1 .

Bernie Ecclestone, for decades at the head of the direction of this sport, seems to have recently bought the Force Blue mega yacht at the auction, previously owned by the famous businessman and former Formula 1 team manager Flavio Briatore.

The background

The story originated in May 2010 when the Italian finance police seized the yacht, owned by Briatore since 2002, while it was in the waters of the Italian city of La Spezia. Onboard, in addition to the crew, were also the showgirl Elisabetta Gregoraci, today the entrepreneur’s ex-wife, and her son Nathan Falco.

The accusation made by the investigators was clear right away. The entrepreneur was accused of having simulated a commercial activity of chartering his luxurious boat in the period 2006 – 2010. This would have allowed him to use the Force Blue, formally owned by the company Autumn Sailing Limited, for recreational use in Italian territorial waters, avoiding him to pay the due import VAT, equal to approximately 3.5 million euros.

Furthermore, again according to the prosecution, the yacht’s fuel was indicated as exempt from excise duties while it had to be burdened by ordinary taxes.

The first instance trial against Flavio Briatore ended in 2015, with a suspended sentence of 1 year and 11 months in prison for tax crimes related to the charter of the Force Blue yacht.

After various judicial vicissitudes that saw Briatore first convicted and then partially acquitted by misdemeanor prescription, the current situation sees a new trial that has reached the last level of judgment.

Why the auction of the yacht?

It was auctioned on January 27, 2021, at one-third of the market value. This is the fate to which the judges of the court of Genoa condemned the yacht Force Blue. The Flavio Briatore luxurious floating villa was seized in 2010 for the alleged evasion of 3.6 million VAT on imports.

The yacht was awarded to the highest bidder on an auction basis of 7 million euros, which is less than half of the 20 million estimated value at the time of the seizure. On the evaluation weighted the serious degradation conditions in which the Force Blue finds itself after a decade of forced inactivity, interrupted only occasionally for rental in the summer season.

This last solution was necessary to contain management costs which, however, did not avoid the accumulation of debts by the State, which therefore opted to sell the yacht at the preventive auction without waiting for the end of the Briatore’s process.

The latter had tried to block, through his lawyers, the sale by presenting four instances which, however, were vain.

What kind of boat are we talking about?

Force Blue is a superyacht over 63 meters long, almost 12 meters wide, and with a gross tonnage of over 1,325 tons. It was built and launched in 2002 by the Royal Denship, a Danish construction house that is no longer in business.

It is propelled by two 2000 horsepower engines and reaches a top speed of 17 knots. The cruising one stops at 14.

Comfort is ensured by the presence of an onboard crew that can reach up to 17 people.

It was enough for the British tycoon to offer € 490,000 more than the seven million auction base to get the boat.

In addition to the 90-year-old Bernard Ecclestone, the other competitors were all companies: Lethora Holdings Ltd based in the Virgin Islands , Sulfur Ltd based in the Bahamas , and Locamar Sa based in Luxembourg.

All offers in a sealed envelope were delivered to the notary Ugo Bechini who opened each one on the morning of January 27th, at the Hotel Bristol, a very central Genoese hotel.

Future developments

Is it all finally over? Absolutely not! In fact, as we said earlier, the process that sees the ownership of Force Blue as a dispute is not concluded.

Paradoxically, with a reversal of the sentence, Flavio Briatore could still return to being his legitimate owner, canceling the auction with which Ecclestone won the yacht.

We just have to wait until the next 9 of June to know the final sentence.

Flavio Briatore : « nous ouvrirons d’ici peu un nouveau restaurant à Monaco »

L’entrepreneur à succès s’est livré dans une interview pour la version italienne du magazine Robb Report sur ses restaurants et son retour dans la F1.

L’entertainment dining, le nouveau concept cool et tendance développé par le résident monégasque. Dans son interview avec la journaliste Penelope Vaglini, Flavio Briatore considère le restaurant comme « un lieu social, fait pour connecter les personnes ». Cependant, à la différence des restaurants étoilés Briatore souhaite que ses clients « se sentent comme à la maison, grâce au personnel de salle et au dj, qui développent et orchestrent en parfaite harmonie et synergie l’énergie de la soirée en impliquant tous les clients. »

La recette du succès

Le succès de ses restaurants intervient selon l’entrepreneur alors que la fréquentation des discothèques décline notamment dû aux confinements successifs. Aujourd’hui, les habitudes ont changé et Flavio Briatore applique la même recette à ses restaurants Billionaire : un dîner plus long entre 21 heures et minuit, une musique pas trop forte en fond pour s’entendre parler et une alternance entre spectacles et plats d’exception. 

Concernant Crazy Pizza, le nouveau fleuron du groupe Majestas, Flavio Briatore ne le souhaitait pas comme une simple pizzeria. Grâce aux pizzaiolos faisant tournoyer leur pâte au rythme de la musique choisie précieusement par un dj, le résident monégasque réinvente le concept et y intègre une dose de divertissement. 

Évidemment, le service à table doit être irréprochable et le personnel de salle est aux petits soins. « Investir sur l’hospitalité est crucial. (…) Cela permet aux personnes de sentir comme chez eux et ceci est notre plus grande satisfaction » explique Flavio Briatore.

Malgré le succès, l’entrepreneur n’en n’oublie pas pour autant son fils avec qui il aime passer du temps. « Le temps que je passe avec mon fils est mon plus grand luxe, aucun yacht, objet ou expérience ne peut avoir une telle valeur » déclare Flavio Briatore.

New-type toroidally focused ultrasonic flaw detectors, whose application provides an appreciable increase in the flaw detection rate with retention of high sensitivity to flaws, are considered. The construction of a flaw detector is presented, the sizes of a gauge for the formation of the toroidal surface of a lens are given, and the technology of the manufacturing of a toroidal lens is described.
