Yacht Club with over 3,000 members situated on South Pier, St Helier harbour. Promoting all types of boating activities and related training. We organise regular sailing and power boating rallies during the season, and yacht racing throughout the year.

The bar and restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and drinks, and evening meals from Wednesday to Saturday.

It is considered to be the hub of all nautical activity in St Helier and is open to Members, their guests and visiting yachtsmen.

After the fire: St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club focused on revitalizing this coming summer

PANAMA CITY — In November, the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club building on Bunkers Cove Road was destroyed in a fire. Ever since then, questions have circulated around the community: How did the fire start? Would the Yacht Club rebuild?

The Yacht Club was up and operational for business within weeks of the fire. The Yacht Club is still taking in new members, as well. Members have joined the club even after the fire.

”The Yacht Club is in better shape than people would have imagined,” said Michael Wynn, 2024 commodore. “The staff members that we have are family to us. We believe and give to them and they give back to us.”

Wynn explained that one club member had this to say after the fire: “The clubhouse was just a building; the Yacht Club is about the people.”

The Yacht Club has discussed expanding its sailing center to provide greater resources for the community. The club expects the plans and renderings for the new club facility will be unveiled this summer.

Some of the staff members have left the club since the incident and others have stayed.

“Our staff is smaller now since the fire,” said Wynn. “We have less services being offered at the moment, but many staffers who left the club for other jobs have offered to come back once the club becomes (fully) operational again.”

The cause of the fire is still unknown. There have been different ideas and theories on how the fire started, but there has not been a definitive answer. But there was no foul play, Wynn emphasized.

”Right now, we don’t have a final number on what it’s going to cost to rebuild,” said Wynn. “We have architects and plans on rebuilding. We have members of the community who are donating services to help cut the cost (of our rebuild).”

More information about the club will be released closer to the clubhouse reopening. Wynn said the rebuild will both honor the club's history and heritage and also add modern touches.

Wynn said the club's experience dealing with insurance after the fire has been good and the matter soon will be resolved. The experience was much better than the ones many people had after Hurricane Michael, he noted.

Wynn also is humbled and gratified by the outpouring of support and dedication from his fellow club leaders and all club members. He knew his one-year term as commodore, which began in January, would be full of challenges. But the club has rallied because the tradition and legacy mean so much.

"People care so deeply," he said.

Unbelievably beautiful, professionally decorated, cosy, well built restaurant with a magnificent area, chairs, terrace with Kuban river view. Garden design is exceptional. Personnel we'll dressed in kazak national costumes. Service and the way they serve and arrange dishes - rare to meet in Moscow. Dishes... collection and cooking options are so rich. And the taste - no comments, that's just exceptional. But the most impressive - local music team - professional signers who sign national songs - they love what they do and all the guests and energy you got from them in that particular atmosphere - you will hardly forget that. This is the restaurant one MUST visit when in Krasnodar. Amazing athmosphere, delicious dishes, friendly staff, unique live music that is incredible. Highly professional, polite and kind staff, without exception (including the doormen, the waiters, the chief stewrd, etc.) One of the waiters, Pavel took... me on a personal tour and showed me around, drawing my attention to the rich details of the antique neo-russian enterieur: colorful paintings from Kuban artists, portraits of famous atamans, the mechanical piano, children's room, Cossack's costumes (one of them is there for you to try on), photographs of old Cossack houses and families, the small VIP hall, and many others. We had several delicious, very tasty dishes for starters with wonderful red wine, and had so much that ordering soup, main course, or dessert was simply impossible. Live music is - 4 singers, an accordion and a huge baalaika - simply beyond words. One does not need to understand Russian to feel the music deep in one's heart. Incredible! This restaurant has a large outdoor patio. With the long warm (hot) summers this works out well - plenty of long evenings to enjoy it. This has a lot in common with the type of stylish restaurant you'd find along the riviera - think Cannes.... Relaxed but stylish. Modern. But not fussy. Clientele - well, fashionable but then I've not seen many Russians go out dressed down. Fashion rules. Family friendly. Kids running around between the tables but not intrusive or unruly. They add to the atmosphere of this establishment. Bit Italian in that sense. Just adding to the festive, party feel here. Busy. Lot's of atmosphere. Good service and long menu. Try the horse-radish vodka. It has some kick but character too. I would say the menu and cooking is good, but not great. What makes this place great is the overall atmosphere, attentive service and that sort of relaxed, southern, stylish, outdoor vibe. More

The place is decorated very nicely; it’s pleasant and relaxing to be there, the furniture is comfortable. If you want to feel the atmosphere of Kuban village, it’s the right place to go. Also you can enjoy the view to the river. The food was... good, although I thought the patty cakes would be warm. The waiter tried to make us spend more money advising the most expensive salads and asked many times if we would want something else, I seriously thought about asking to change the person, because it was really annoying. It was really pleasant evening in Stan. We took traditional saslik. Excellent meat selection. Local red wine was also great. Do not miss to visit when you are in Krasnodar.

So, we visited this restaurant again. Impeccable service. Attentive and courteous waiters. Food is out of this world. I had the traditional meat salad OLIVIER and the Ataman's soup (recipe from XVIII century). My 18 yo had VARENIKI ( meat dumplings) and the Ataman steak.... Great delicious food. Such a pleasant memorable experience.! More

In my experience this restaurant is one of the best in Russia - it is not that easy to find a great service and fantastic food under one roof! It was a family dinner so we booked a table for 9 people, including 3 kids.... Everyone enjoyed that evening. Vladislav, who was in touch with me when I contacted the restaurant was professional, friendly and extremely helpful when we couldn't get to the restaurant in time due to the Paris type of traffic on the roads. Dmitry was our waiter and his excellent recommendations as to what to order made everyone happy. However we didn't anticipate a size of the portions so we extended our feast for the next day having a few doggie bags taken with us 😀 Also I'd like to mention a group of musicians performing traditional Kazak songs! What a great it was to hear them! Highly recommend to come to the restaurant when they are performing. Alternatively you can make some arrangements with the restaurant and invite them for your party. Beautifully presented building, food was amazing, one of the best places I have been in Russia! Staff very happy and attentive. We were entertained by wonderful musicians too. A perfect evening.

As others have mentioned, the food was wonderful, accompanied by great service. What I want to emphasize here is the ambiance. You are dining in a restored house, with lots of carefully selected historical elements. Once the manager noticed that I am interested in all... the artifacts, he asked one of the employees (Veronica?) to show me around. It's a village-style complex of restaurants in the center of Krasnodar. Excellent service and wonderful cusine. We now visit the place every time we come to Krasnodar. Great atmosphere diving deep into the Russian history and the Cossack traditions. Well trained and very polite staff. The restaurant is like a museum and you can feel a part of the rich culture and history and learn about the life of the Cossacks. Food... was very delicious and cooked to perfection. We have been there with my hubby. He is Italian, but he loves Russian food veeeery much!😋 so, exactly for this reason we went in Stan. At that moment there was a group of singers with totally Russian way to sing🎼 and it has added... a drop of national atmosphere🇷🇺 simply amazing! Also there are many pictures on the walls. Good! We have ordered vareniki, befstroganov and smashed potato. All dishes were absolutely tasty and liked to us! As a conclusion, every our visit we will go in Stan just to dip in this culture🥞 great! I have eaten here many times and is a favirite place to take guests to the city as the food and entertainment is always good Kossack group singing is alwsys a hut with guests and and never disappoints.
