Our Gold Coast Sales Centres incorporate our highly popular “Out-Of-Water Boat Show”, a permanent display of yachts showcased on hardstands rather than in marina berths, allowing for a complete view of our new and used yachts for sale.

A line-up of premium pre-owned brokerage yachts are on display at our “Out-Of-Water Boat Show”every week from Monday to Friday, Saturday morning until midday and upon appointment for other times on weekends.

Appointments are required to inspect any of the boats on display, and can be made by contacting our Gold Coast Sales team.

Package 1 – Day-trip Beaches & BBQ’s 

Departing at 12pm, our captain takes your crew out Island Hopping for a day of Watersports, BBQ buffet, Cold drinks and fun in the sun. Think Banana boats, cold beers, SUP’s and multiple bars.

This package is perfect for an Aussie Summer day, with up to 130 passengers and a minimum run time of 4 hours this is definitely one the crew will remember.

Package 2 – Evening Cocktails & Canapés

Departing at 5pm, this Sunset Cruise sets the mood for a night of world class luxury and celebration aboard the Gold Coasts premier Superyacht. Our boats are berthed at Marina Mirage. Please see the ‘contact us’ page on our website for further details and a map. Marina Mirage is about 10 mins from Surfers and 15 mins from Broadbeach.

Where can I park?

There is plentiful free parking at Marina Mirage/Mariners Cove which you are permitted to use.  Please check signage at time of parking and if parking overnight consider street parking to avoid towing.

What about other transport options?

There are lots of ways to get to the boat! The most popular (and cost effective/convenient) is often via Maxi Taxis.

I am short on time can you please help me out with catering/drinks?

Yes, we also offer catering and drinks service for your convenience. Please request our full catering list as advance bookings are required. We offer a range of catering options from grazing boards, to canapes and private chefs.

(Catering and drinks service options may be affected by Government restrictions due to Covid, please check at the time of your charter what the current restrictions are)

Do you have Eskies on board?

Yes we have Fridges & Eskies and we also provide ice. 

Where can we go on our charter?

We mainly operate in the calm, protected waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater. Where to go very much depends on what you would like to do and how long your boat charter is for so please feel free to discuss this with our team. In a 3 hour charter during the day our guests usually love a swim stop at Wavebreak Island where you can enjoy the range of island activities on board. Your skipper is knowledgeable in the local area and will make recommendations based on the conditions on the day.  If you don’t wish to swim in a 3 hour charter you instead opt to sail further north along the inside of South Stradbroke Island and see the millionaires mansions at Sovereign Islands.

In the evening we will generally sail north to watch the sunset and return to the southern part of the Broadwater to enjoy the city lights after dark which are just beautiful.

Will I get seasick?

We mainly operate in the calm, protected waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater. If we go offshore (into the open ocean) there is a possibility of large waves. 

Are your charters suitable for guests with limited mobility?

We have welcomed several guests on board with limited mobility. However we do realise that each individual is different in terms of ability and what they are comfortable with. Please take a look at the 360 tours on the ‘ Our Boats ‘ page for an ideal of getting around the boats and do bear in mind a big step up (or carry) is required to board the boats at the marina. Our friendly team will be happy to discuss further to ensure you and your guests are comfortable prior to making a booking.

The shipyard lived up to our expectations, while even exceeding them on several occasions.

Our tenure at GCCM lasted 4 months, from July to Oct 2021. Our extensive job list included: Fresh & black tanks re-coating, class approved soft patch installation in transom, generator re-builds, main engine half-life overhauls, Rolls Royce jet drive overhaul, electrical design and overhauls, paint repairs, interior repairs, deck repairs, tender refits, and 5 year class survey items.

On-site project management by Pete Grocock was an immense support to us. Pete’s drive & energy, dynamic abilities, and positive contractor relations ensured maximum results. The travel-lift team were calm, safe, and dependable. The 24hr security team were on-point, professional, and helpful. The Quarterdeck Restaurant and it’s friendly staff provided culinary support to our crew, and a serene atmosphere in which to dine and relax.

I most appreciated the management in their flexibility to our unique needs and ever-changing itinerary. They were always accommodating and showed great resourcefulness in problem solving. We depart on a high note, and I would not hesitate to return again in future aboard this vessel or any other in my command.

I have been in the motor yacht industry for the past 42 years and have worked all over the world in new build and refit yards, working on vessel’s from 72-metres to 140-metres. I have run three different boat building yards in Australia, and understand the complexities of the process of builds and refit work and the challenges in running yards.  Late in 2018, I was asked to oversee a large refit of a classic family motor yacht (M/Y Shirley Anne) that was originally built for the Owner’s family in Australia and is now owned by another family member and his wife who love the vessel. The task was to refit her to her former glory without changing the style and feel of the original design of the motor yacht. One of the major tasks was to design and integrate a new overhanging swim platform into the vessel without anyone realising anything had been added or changed on the vessel, this was achieved very successfully and the Owners are delighted with the complete refit.  The Captain and I considered a few yards and facilities in Australia and New Zealand to complete the works in a clean and safe environment). It didn’t take us long to narrow down the preferred site to Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, which was able to offer us all the facilities and trades people we need to complete the works in the right environment. They were very helpful in the whole process of the refit and it was an easy place to work from. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were always available at all times to help us with whatever we needed.  It was a pleasure to complete the refit at GCCM and I would recommend Kevin and his team to anyone looking for a facility for refit and repair works.

Our Construction Processes

The construction process begins at our dedicated hull & large component facility where our hulls are typically built in female molds using industry-leading resin infusion processes. We also have molds for component construction of bridgedeck floors, cabin roofs, decks, flat panels, beams, daggerboards, rudders, and many more components. Primary materials consist of epoxy infusion resin, Vectorply fabrics and Corecell foam. Structural and secondary components are prefabricated and assembled once the hulls are completed using Gougeon West Systems and Pro-Set epoxy.

Police have alleged two men organised to meet with another man for one reason before he was fatally stabbed in a shopping centre carpark.

Police will allege a young Gold Coast man was killed in a drug robbery gone wrong as a second person was charged over the death.

William Swinbourne, 21, was found with a single stab wound in the carpark of Hope Island shopping centre shortly after 2pm on March 11.

Despite efforts from paramedics, he died at the scene, with the incident triggering a sprawling manhunt in the popular tourist destination.

Hours later, Haedyn Patrick Zachary Rawson was arrested at a nearby construction site.

The 23-year-old award-winning private schoolboy was later charged with murder, while a second man was released by police without charge.

On Wednesday, Queensland Police revealed a second man, 24, had been rearrested and charged with murder and robbery.

They said Mr Rawson would now also face a robbery charge.

Detective Inspector Mark Mooney said the charges had been laid following a “comprehensive review” of CCTV footage, phones and social media.

Speaking to media on Wednesday, he said detectives now believed the two accused had planned to rob Mr Swinbourne of a “small usable amount of drugs”.

“We’ve continued to conduct an extensive investigation of the matter and we now have a much clearer picture of what occurred before, during and after the incident,” he said.

“Police will allege both these men were implicit in the planning of this robbery which has ultimately led to this incident occurring at Hope Island.”

Inspector Mooney said it would be alleged that Mr Rawson had inflicted the fatal injury, but the second man was “implicit” in the plan.

He said police believed the pair exchanged messages on the day of the incident, allegedly organising the robbery.

The second man was initially released without charge, he said, because police understood there was one person involved in the physical act – adding the 24-year-old had “been co-operative with police the entire time”.

The Hope Island man is expected to face the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Police will allege in court that Mr Rawson was armed with a kitchen knife when had a drink at the Boardwalk Tavern before stabbing Mr Swinbourne in his car.

Mr Rawson and Mr Swinbourne reportedly met at a Fred Again concert two days prior to the incident.

The private-school graduate was refused bail and is due to reappear before Southport Magistrates Court later this month.

In a social media post, Mr Swinbourne’s partner Kaysie Tooth paid tribute to the young man.

“I love you to the moon and back, in this life and the next and every one after that,” she said.

“Forever looking at photos of you my love.”

Inspector Mooney said Mr Swinbourne’s family had been informed of the development and were pleased but distraught.

The investigation remains ongoing.

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — A rubber dinghy carrying migrants sank off Turkey’s northern Aegean coast on Friday, killing at least 22 people, officials said.

Turkish coast guard personnel rescued two migrants from the sea off the town of Eceabat in Canakkale province, while two others reached the shore by themselves and notified officials, Gov. Ilhami Aktas said.

It was not clear how many people were on the boat when it sank and the coast guard was continuing to search the area, he said.

Aktas told the state-run Anadolu Agency that seven of the dead were infants or children.

The migrants’ nationalities were not immediately known.

They were trying to reach the Greek island of Samothraki, the private Demiroren News Agency reported.

Eighteen rescue boats, a plane, two helicopters and a drone were involved in the search and rescue mission, the statement said. Ambulances were on standby at a nearby port, Anadolu reported.

Although their numbers have declined in recent years, migrants mostly from the Middle East and Africa often leave Turkey to try to reach Greece or Italy in search of a better life in European countries.

The Turkish coast guard said it caught at least 93 migrants attempting to leave the Turkish coast on boats this week.
