We enjoyed the most memorable wedding celebration at Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club. We truly can not say enough about Bob McSweeney, Rosemary and the entire staff including Abby the bridal attendant. From start to finish the service was amazing, the food unbelievable and all of the guests raved about the entire event. Thank you all! The E Family!!!

I feel compelled to write a review as a new member . The new owners have done an incredible job turning this most beautiful property around . They are personally involved in every detail. New flowers have been planted all over and look great. It is one of the nicest properties on the sound. My kids are now playing tennis and love the pros. The docks were redone over the winter and are great . It's a great place that has been restored to its former glory . Food is great too !

New owners this year whom have been spending a fortune to fix the place up which is evident throughout the grounds. They have rebuilt all of the cabanas, installed new showers and changing areas by the pool, new tennis locker room with lunge area, refurbished the entire pool area, replaced the main clubhouse roof and made the grounds nicer with new plantings, adding new grass area and replacing all the playground equipment. I was there today as guests of members and the entire staff was attentive and extremely nice. The new owners and management were everywhere on the grounds making sure not only the guests were happy but that the staff were happy and being treated well, which is a nice sign. It is evident the new ownership and management know the hospitality business and what it takes to keep members happy and to make a nice piece of property well served for a club. Lifeguard staff raking the beach throughout the day and making sure the kids playing in the water were safe. Definitely a Yacht, tennis and beach club on the up and up.

Racist racist racist! After visiting multiple venues this was the worst sales pitch I had. The sales lady is the most craziest person I've ever met. She started by low balling me at $90 a person plus all they're taxes and fees. Which sounds great.. Right? Nope she crossed off half the things they offer. She didn't even bother to state the rest. Who is she to tell me what I want or what j can afford. What topped it off was when she stated.. "I don't know where your from but we offer burgers and tacos"... I told you she was crazy. I just wanted to walk out the room. Then she mentioned the $2500 down payment once again. Which proved to me what she just said was perfectly fine. Clearly I won't be getting married here. The outdoor area is what your really paying for. The interior is out of date and needs to be renovated. For such a great view the venue does it absolutely no justice.

The tennis program is fabulous so friendly Roman and the staff are the best. The beach is breathtaking and they serve food on the beach. I'm so glad I joined

Unresponsive and unprofessional. My fiance and I toured the venue a few weeks back with an unprofessional, unprepared teenager. Despite that we were still interested. We reached out to receive a formal proposal, no response. Three emails later and still nothing. We were actually interested in booking, but their staff doesn't seem to care. Why should giving a venue my money be so difficult? If they are this unprofessional now, I can't even imagine how bad it would have been during our wedding day. Don't waste your time.

Mamaroneck Frostbite Association

⛵message to members, come and sail with us this winter.

From October thru April, the Mamaroneck Frostbite Association sails on weekends in Long Island Sound.

With more than 50 registered members, the racing is co-ed, all ages, and competitive to all skill levels .

Most days allow for 2-plus hours of racing.

The Boat: Dyer Dhow

MFA is a volunteer organization. Each member is required to volunteer for race committee, crash boat, and party planning at least once per season.

Setting up and putting away a Dyer is a bit mysterious the first time.

Read through these instructions to learn how to do it yourself. And on the dock ask a veteran member for help if you need it!

Returning S ailors

Pay your dues

Your dues help keep the committee and crash boats running and pay our rent at beautiful Beach Point. Make sure to pay your dues before you race this season.

The Dyer Dhow is a 9' dinghy with a centerboard. It supports both a full sail and a storm sail, allowing racing up to 20kts of breeze. Its high railings help keep the sailor dry.

The Dyer is not self righting. Chase boats assist in the event of capsize and to get sailors back on the course.

Plan for the day by first checking the weather .

Most frostbiters invest in a dry suit, but any warm foul weather gear is sufficient for winter sailing.

What is most important is prolonged protection from the climate. Warm gloves, double socks, a warm hat and a neck gaiter will make frostbiting the most comfortable.

Charter Boats

While most MFA members own their own boats, members can take advantage of the Dyers the MFA fleet owns and maintains.

Available as full or half charters, they are a great way to get involved without committing to ownership. 

Sunday Races & Socials

MFA runs races every Sunday, weather permitting, from the beginning of November until the beginning of April. Sunday races are followed by a club social that includes food, race debriefing, tactics and rules discussion and a libation or two.

Saturday Racing

The warmer weather of November, March, and April allows racing on Saturdays as well. Together with Sunday racing, this provides over 40 scheduled days of racing through the winter! Read more about sailing with us .

MFA runs several regattas throughout the season. The New Years Regatta, Founders Regatta, and Handicap Regatta are opportunities to race consecutive days and put your skills on the water to the test!

MFA is open to racers of all skill level. To help grow the skills of all members, several coaching clinics are run throughout the season. These clinics focus on racing tactics for starts and roundings, sail trim tips and boat handling, and racing rules.
