Juliet is a charming 100′ Liveaboard Schooner primarily based in Miami running week-long diving trips to the Bahamas every spring, summer, and fall. In the winter look for us in St. Croix where we are based December through early March.

Juliet Sailing and Diving was founded in 2003 by Captain John Beltramo, who had explored the Bahamas since the early 90s. He had been diving all over the world, and chose to base a scuba diving liveaboard company in the Bahamas because there is something special here. Sold in 2016 to long-time crew member and captain, Liza Hash, Juliet still runs primarily out of Miami, providing trips to the Bahamas in the Bimini area where there is an abundance of fish life and beautiful dive sites. Here we find some of the most breathtaking reefs along the eastern edge of the Santaren Channel – when the weather cooperates, that’s where you’ll find us.

Both vessels are conservation oriented. Spearfishing is not allowed, unless you are hunting invasive Lionfish. Lobstering is welcome, with proof of current license.

Marin’s spacious, open deck provides you with plenty of room to setup your dive and photo gear. The vessel is powered by a 420HP Cummins engine, with a top speed of 20 knots. We're the only dive boat operation in Southern California operating both large and small single and multi-day full-service dive boats. We serve both recreational and professional diving communities.

What will I see?

The diving here is world class with everything to offer from kelp forests to wrecks. Visibility at the islands averages 50 feet and can exceed 100 feet. Swimming through a kelp forest is spectacular. Many compare the experience to flying through a forest of trees with fish instead of birds.

Private charters

Charter the entire boat for one to five special days of private diving for your group. You can visit your favorite dive spots or discover new ones. Groups can have a maximum of 26 passengers for day trips and 22 passengers for overnight and multi-day trips on the Sundiver.

Dive equipment

You can rent all the dive equipment you need from us or bring some or all of your own. We recommend that you wear a 6.5mm wetsuit or a dry suit for best comfort.

Pensacola offers some of the best diving in the Gulf of Mexico. There are hundreds of  scuba diving sites  in Pensacola: wrecks, natural reefs, artificial reefs, even the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany , all within a short boat ride of Pensacola Pass. With so many scuba diving locations, it’s easy for the Niuhi to accommodate divers of all skill levels. USS Oriskany

At 904 ft long, 157ft wide and 129ft tall the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CV/CVA 34) is the pride of Pensacola and the crown jewel of Pensacola wreck diving. Truly the dive of a lifetime, the Oriskany is an advanced recreational dive in a class by itself. Technical divers and rebreather pilots will find a wide range of exploration opportunities on the USS Oriskany dive site that fit within their individual levels of training and experience. Niuhi Dive Charters offers morning and afternoon half-day trips to the Oriskany.

Pensacola Spearfishing

Pensacola spearfishing  charters are now available for booking onboard the Niuhi. Captain Andy’s Federal reef fishing permit allows Niuhi customers to spearfish in state and federal waters. Please contact Captain Andy in advance if you’re interested in any specific spearfishing targets on board the Niuhi.

Pensacola has some of the best diving sites in the Gulf Of Mexico! We have hundreds of sites within a short distance from the pass. With so many options available, it is easy for us to accommodate any skill level of diver. 

We have a high number of these beautiful, delicious, invasive fish. We offer trips out to harvest as many as you can shoot. The captain also carries extra spears and Zookeepers on board in case you want to give lion fish hunting a shot! Its not only fun to hunt lion fish but you are helping to sustain our reefs and game fish.

Experienced Dive Masters always on board

One of our biggest concerns is your safety while diving with us. There will always be an experienced Dive Master on board our boat for your safety and convenience. We strive to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible!

USS Oriskany

The largest artificial reef in the world.

The Oriskany is an Essex class aircraft carrier built in 1945. She is 911 feet in length with a 129 foot beam. She was commissioned in 1950, and served until September 25th 1957 when she was decommissioned for the first time. The Mighty O was recommissioned on March 7th 1959 and served until September 30th 1976. She was laid to her final resting place 24 miles south of Pensacola on May 17 2006.

The Oriskany offers all types of diving. Whether your an advanced open water diver or the most skilled tech diver, the O has something for you. 

We offer recreational and technical trips out to the Oriskany.

We Promote dive safety above all else, we encourage all of our divers to Plan their dive and dive their plan . In our book, this includes researching the dive site you are planning to dive, the dive boat you are going on, reading the dive site description provided on our San Diego Scuba Dives page or on our calendar (click the trip on the date you choose) and reading our FAQ. Please feel free to TEXT Captain Lora with any additional questions not answered here .

We do NOT provide rental gear or a guide in the cost of your ticket. We are happy to arrange a drop off and pick up service for rental gear and provide you with contact information of some of our trusted Guides.  

If you are on a special diet, we can do our best to make sure we have food for your specialness;) We offer Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten free options. Just fill in the questionnaire at the end of your checkout. 

Technical Diving

2 Tech Dives $225-$250

While we allow technical divers to join us on any of our recreational trips, we offer special technical certified only dives a couple of times a month. We welcome tech divers, decompression divers, rebreather divers, sidemount divers and scooter divers. Additionally, we allow deco/bailout bottles necessary for your dive or practice.

HOWEVER, you must carry a valid certification for the equipment and profiles you intend to dive that day. This means that your certification must be valid and non-expired.

FOR EXAMPLE: A diver carrying a CCR MOD1 card will only be permitted to dive a no-decompression profile, regardless of his open circuit certification level.
