The AUSSIE RULES is a remarkable luxury sportfishing yacht that boasts an impressive interior, top-notch performance, and advanced technology. While many sportfishing boats can be fitted with off-the-shelf tuna towers installed by third party companies, the 92EB benefits from the option of a bespoke 43-foot tuna tower provided by Viking’s own subsidiary, Palm Beach Towers. These lightweight and durable towers can be tailored to your needs and seamlessly attached to the yacht without compromising balance, access or practicality. The Viking Yacht shipyard manufacturers over 90% of the vessel in house, creating unmatched quality control.

One level down from your tower and you will discover an enclosed flybridge that is larger than most fishing yacht’s main decks. There is space in here for an L-shaped sofa with a coffee table, a loveseat and cabinets to starboard with room for an optional wet-bar console. At the front of the flybridge sit three Stidd helm chairs, a massive dashboard with equipment installed by Atlantic Marine Electronics, instrumentation from Garmin, VIPER steering and bow thruster controls. At the rear of the bridge is an open aft-deck with a set of aft-helm controls and a three-seater sofa.

On the main deck experienced fishers will immediately be drawn to the 238-square foot aft cockpit, where a team can get to work on chasing and catching those prized marlins in a teak-lined space that is as beautiful as it is practical. The cockpit comes equipped with a transom door with a lift gate, flush and mounted rod holders, tiered tackle drawers, a pair of chilled livewells, an Eskimo ice-chipper, electric teaser reels, a backlit fishbox, fresh and salt-water wash-down hoses as well as a floor plate for the fighting chair or rocket launcher of your choice. There is also a two-tiered mezzanine back here, with a comfortable rear-facing sofa adjoining a sheltered aft-deck dining sofa, breakfast table and wet-bar facility.

The internal salon on the Viking 92EB impresses with satin-finished walnut and glossy teak surfaces, leather furnishings, panoramic side windows, plush carpeting and masses of space. To port there are a pair of L-shaped side sofas each with a matching coffee table and an armchair, while to starboard there is a curved staircase up to the bridge, cabinetry and a display niche for a 40-inch HDTV. Positioned amidship you will find a formal dining table with room for up to six diners as well as an L-shaped walk-in galley. The galley boasts a serving bar with five bar stools, custom granite worktops, a combination oven, a four-zone hob, a Sub-Zero fridge and a double-sink. At the front of the internal cockpit there are a pair of pantry spaces that can also be used to store extra fishing kit.

On the lower deck there are five en suite staterooms for up to nine overnight guests, plus a private crew quarters at the rear. The star of the show, however, is undoubtedly the full-beam owner’s stateroom that comes with two side windows, a king-sized island bed, a work-desk or vanity station, a loveseat, a full-beam double bathroom with a fiberglass-lined shower stall and a walk-in dressing room with maple-lined hanging closets.

Given the size of the Viking 92EB it should come as no surprise that it needs some of the most powerful engines on the market to keep it quick enough for blue-water tournament fishing. Fitted as standard are a pair of CAT C32A 1925MHP diesels, while there is also the option to upgrade to MTU V16 M96L twins with 2635 horsepower. If you go with the latter option then you can expect top speeds of around 40 knots, while the yacht has an ocean-going range of around 1,500 nautical miles at a more sedate pace of 12 knots. Should you wish, the Viking 92EB can also be equipped with an NG35 Seakeeper stabilizer for reduced roll in choppy conditions, though the yacht’s planing hull provides plenty of natural balance.

2017 Viking Yachts 92 Convertible Viking is set to raise the bar once again with it's newest model and queen of the fleet, the 92' Convertible.  Slated to launch at the 2014 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, the 92 will boast a six stateroom layout, including a full beam master suite amidships.  Designed with eight heads, a huge salon with a full dining area and a unique L-shaped galley, the 92 will surely be all that Viking offers on a grand scale.  Designed into it's huge cockpit area a center lined mezzanine along with an observation deck above, with room for a full table.  Crew quarters will be accessible with a private aft entrance located under the upper mezzanine deck.  The enormous bridge has plenty of seating for a large crowd and includes a built in dinette area in front of the console.  Contact Bluewater today and get the latest information on what is truly going to be the ultimate convertible.
