Fincantieri Yachts is known for designing masterful custom megayachts that challenge the status quo, but the builder is having a real mic-drop moment with its latest vessel. The next-gen concept, known as Blanche, spans 230 feet and features a spacious interior that may just remind you of your favorite five-star hotel.

The first thing you’ll notice about Blanche is that she’s devoid of unnecessary clutter. The Italian yard purposely eschewed visual obstructions in favor of space and simplicity. This frees your eyes up to focus on the ship’s graceful lines.

The concept was developed in partnership with Gabriele Teruzzi. The young Italian designer founded his eponymous studio in 2016 and already has a handful of prestigious projects to his name. Pairing this fresh blood with such a storied shipbuilder—Fincantieri has more than two centuries worth of experience—has led to a design that’s downright pioneering. That much is clear once you get inside.

Her knockout feature is a gargantuan interior. Blanche has an anticipated volume of 1,535 GT and is characterized by a flowing open-plan layout that makes the sun’s natural light a design element in and of itself. She can sleep up to 14 guests across seven cabins, as well as 17 crew. The luxurious master suite opens onto a private 190-square-foot terrace. This space is surrounded by full-height panoramic windows and affords unparalleled sea views.

When it comes to amenities, Blanche boasts a beach area at the aft—complete with a waterfall pool, of course—a jacuzzi on the foredeck, a scenic sky lounge, a sprawling wellness area that spans 126 square feet and an upscale piano bar, which features a sparkling fairy-lit ceiling. While performance specs and engine type were not available as of press time, Fincantieri claims that Blanche will have a 5,000 nautical mile range at a speed of 12 knots.

The megayacht division of the Fincantieri Group has been designing and building custom vessels over 300 feet since 2005 and has established itself as major player in the big boat world. So far, it has delivered the 440-foot Serene (2011) and the 460-foot Ocean Victory (2014), which are a testament to the yard’s epic ambitions. Sure, Blanche will be a tad shorter than her sisters, but there’s absolutely nothing small about her.

This mega yacht is also capable of carrying up to 50 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Powered by 2 3,400hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screw propellers. Ocean Victory is capable of a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots.

It is known, that the owner is a Russian billionaire Viktor Rashnikov, the majority share owner of the one of the largest steel producers in the world, with the net worth of $9,8 billion.

Rashnikov’s previous yacht is Feadship 76-metre Ebony Shine, then owned by the president of the Equatorial Guinea, Teodora Nguema Obang Mangue. Ebony Shine was seized in 2016 by Dutch authorities. In March, 2016 there was an accident on board, causing the death of the one of the crew members.

Ocean Victory allows for up to 36 guests to be accommodated. Among the features to be found on Ocean Victory’s seven decks are a helicopter deck with lifting platform and internal helicopter hangar.

Furthermore, there is tender garage capable of hosting a 14 metre craft, an underwater observation room, no less than six pools and a 300 square metre spa area. The interior design is by the late Alberto Pinto.

The commencement of the construction for the inaugural mega yacht of Four Seasons Yachts has been officially initiated, marking a historic moment at Fincantieri 's shipbuilding yard in Ancona Italy .

Renowned for its opulent hotels, Four Seasons is venturing into the realm of ultra-luxury cruising, with the steel-cutting ceremony signifying the outset of an innovative marine travel endeavor.

Fincantieri Ancona affirms that the Four Seasons cruise ships will embody design innovation, pushing the boundaries of luxury on the open seas. The vessel, with LOA length 207 m (679 ft), width 25 m (82 ft) and 14 decks, stands as a testament to the brand's unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.

Pledging a focus on guest comfort, Four Seasons Yachts aims to establish a new standard in the cruise industry. The vessels are designed to accommodate a maximum of 180 passengers, with a meticulous 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio, ensuring personalized service for each guest. The 95 staterooms (all suites) averaging 54 m2 each, reflect the new brand 's dedication to provide a lavish sea travel experience.

EDGE Group and Fincantieri Formalise MAESTRAL Shipbuilding Joint Venture and Announce 400 Million Euro Order for 10 Naval Vessels

Abu Dhabi, UAE: 20 May, 2024 – EDGE, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defence groups, and Fincantieri, one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the world, have signed an agreement today formalising the launch of MAESTRAL an Abu Dhabi-based shipbuilding Joint Venture (JV) between both companies. The JV, which was first announced in February of this year, will capitalise on global opportunities for the design and manufacture of advanced naval vessels. EDGE holds a 51% stake in the venture, which will be awarded prime rights to non-NATO orders, and a number of strategic orders placed by selected NATO member countries, with a commercial pipeline of orders valued at approximately 30 billion euro.

The signing of the agreement was immediately followed by the announcement of a large order by UAE Coast Guard Forces for 10 technologically advanced 51m Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs), valued at 400 million euro.

The P51MR Class 51m OPVs, based on the mission-proven Saettia Class, are state-of-the-art vessels characterised by their high modularity, stability in rough sea conditions, low radar signal signature, and high operational flexibility.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and was attended by H.E. Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of EDGE Group; the Hon. Matteo Perego di Cremnago, Italian Undersecretary of State for Defense; H.E Admiral OF-9 Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy; Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director & CEO, EDGE Group; Dr. Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO & Managing Director, Fincantieri Group; and Dr. Dario Deste, General Manager of the Naval Vessels Division, Fincantieri.

His Excellency Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of EDGE Group , said: “In just three months since first announcing the creation of this unique venture with Fincantieri, we are now announcing a significant national order for these sophisticated OPVs, to be built both here at our shipyards in Abu Dhabi, and in Italy. Not only does this demonstrate the speed with which EDGE and its partners can operate, and the resources we can mobilise, but fully underscores our strategy of international export growth through mutually beneficial partnerships, the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and the continued pursuit of technological excellence through innovation. It also opens up opportunities for MAESTRAL to promote an extensive portfolio of diverse maritime solutions, including a complete series of technologically advanced vessels, to navies and coast guards around the world.”
