Let's take a look at the futuristic chrisco launched in 2009 by the superyacht division of cnb in france, with exterior lines by luca brenta . the ultra-modern interior was designed by wetzels brown partners..

CNB built the extraordinary yacht Chrisco (aka CNB 100) for a European couple. The yacht is carbon fiber construction to save a lot of weight for more speed. Chrisco is 600 kg lighter than it was contracted. The deckhouse includes 75 glass panels for the right lumination inside. The spacious cockpit can be shaded by a bimini to enjoy an al-fresco style onboard.

Within six years, the yacht sailed 80,000 nautical miles.

Wetzels Brown Partners from Amsterdam developed the interior design of Chrisco. It is a very light and bright interior that reflects futuristic exterior design by the Luca Brenta design office that is also responsible for the naval architecture.

The yacht has four double cabins forward while the salon and dining area are amidships. A crew area is located in the aft area.

Sailing yacht Chrisco, the Luca Brenta and Wetzels & Brown Partners designed CNB 100 sailing yacht, was presented two major Awards by the International Superyacht Society on the occasion of its 20th anniversary gala.

After winning the Newcomer interior design Award a few days earlier, presented by ShowBoats International, Sail yacht Chrisco received the ISS Best sailboat from 24m to 40 m and the Best Interior – Power or Sail Awards.

Several yachts built by the Bordeaux based  CNB shipyard have been nominated for ISS Awards in the past, and superyacht Chrisco is the 3rd CNB winner after sailing yacht Only Now  in 2002 and S/Y Hamilton II  in 2005.

Olivier Lafourcade, in charge of the Superyachts programme at CNB, commented: “It is a great honour to receive these Awards, especially when you think that Chrisco and her owner have covered about 18.000 miles in 15 months, which also says a lot about her design and quality of build.”

Founded in 1989, the International Superyacht Society is the sole organization serving and representing the large yacht industry worldwide. An elected Board of Directors guides the Society’s activities, which include the International Superyacht Design Awards program and the International Superyacht Society Leadership Awards.

Floating interiors rarely attract our attention. Save for a few honourable exceptions, high-end nautical architecture has ploughed its own aesthetic furrow with scarcely a nod to the refinements, materials, space, light and structural gymnastics that can be found on dry land. But the 'CNB 100 / Chrisco' is a craft cut from a different cloth to its peers.

Designed by notable naval architect Luca Brenta , of the eponymous Milan-based studio responsible for the splendid 'Wally B' and 'Wallygator', the CNB 100 / Chrisco is lithe and elegant. The yacht also has a spectacular interior, created by Wetzels Brown Partners , an Amsterdam studio with extensive experience of translating architectural concepts to transportation design, including private jets and motoryachts (English interior designer Gillian Brown, who founded the firm with her partner, Dutch architect Rob Wetzels, worked closely with Lazzarni Pickering on the iconic 'Wallpower 118').

For the 100ft, composite carbon fibre yacht, the design team were briefed to create every single aspect of the interior, right down to table setting, graphics and the crew's uniforms. Tasked with such a monumental project, the first stage was to set out a simple, coherent palette. The glassy cabin architecture allows lots of natural light into the upper deck, as well as views fore and aft. The sense of lightness is enhanced by the main mast, which is visible from both above and below decks, forming a central focus for the living accommodation. The simple black and white colour scheme is paired with a custom-LED light installation that allows five colours to wash across the walls; it also provides a neutral backdrop for the owner's art collection. All furniture is fitted and custom made, and the china, glassware, vases and other accessories is specially selected from Alessi, Carlo Moretti and Gaetano Pesce, respectively.

The shape of the hull is left visible so as to act as a counterpoint to the objects, cabins and forms within it. Finishes include carbon fibre, leather, linen and silk, a monochrome palette that's complemented by the specially-designed dining chairs, created by WBP to fulfil the demands of life on the high seas without compromising their structural honeycomb form. From outside, the glass volume that extends out of the main deck appears like a solid object, a dark faceted mass that stands in stark relief to the airy, light space within. Luca Brenta's exterior design makes the most of these intersections between deck and hull, exaggerating the sleek lines of this ocean-going machine that's also a testament to the success of a truly intense design brief.

CHRISCO CNB100

CHRISCO is a breathtaking state of the art yacht delivered by CNB in 2009.  This Luca Brenta design is one of the iconic yachts in the history of CNB. Crafted like a diamond, her coachroof with its 75 panels of laminated glass, bonded onto a structure of carbon bars, is her visual identity. Wetzels Brown Partners from Amsterdam developed the interior design of Chrisco. It is a very light and bright interior that reflects futuristic exterior design.  She has received numerous awards:

2009 International Superyacht Design Award: Best Sail 24m to 40m. 2009 Wetzels Brown Partners: International Superyacht Design Award 2009 Best Interior: Power and Sail Award. 2010 Wetzels Brown Partners: ShowBoats Newcomer interior design Award.

Chrisco has covered no less than 80,000 miles in six years. The owner’s fascination with minimalism has often led to cutting-edge technical solutions, such as the main winches hidden under the deck by means of carbon panels with a folding opening! From the outside, Chrisco looks pure and without contrast. But from the inside, the armament never leaves the field of view, which is always visible thanks to the axial glazing. Navigation on board is all about the art of living.  The yacht has four double cabins forward while the salon and dining area are amidships. A crew area with 2 cabins is located in the aft area.
