Customer Ratings and Reviews

Every restaurant in LOTO has a great view, this one included. I had the turkey burger here and it was delicious. We went with a group of 5 people and we all like what we had. Would definitely go back.

Good food and drinks. Friendly staff. Indoor seating with windows and outdoor seating on the patio or around the pool area. A swimming pool! Bright, clean, and social atmosphere. Great views of the lake! Bar with multiple TVs on sports stations. Marina/boat docks. Racing/performance boat pictures throughout restaurant and racing/performance boat businesses surrounding property.

What wonderful food. Delicious! Very well portioned plated foods. Event rooms. Pizza from old style pizza oven. Pool. Lake view. Loved it!

Redhead’s is our place on the lake. From the initial greeting by the very capable and always friendly dock staff to the service in the restaurant and the excellent food Redhead’s is setting the standard on the lake. Throw in separate pools for the adults and children to help complete the package. The fuel dock is just as professional and capable as the rest of the operation. The whole place is always clean and the staff always professional and accommodating. It is close to 20 miles by water for us, but well worth it.

Very good place to have a meal at Lake of the Ozarks. Good food and great service. They know our friends Tammi and Hal, and they were very accommodating to our group. The pizza was good and the Hot Chicken sandwich was amazing (please send me your recipe). Even when it was busy, the service was quick and the food was hot. I can't wait to come back!

  • Redhead Yacht Club Making Waves – Lake of the Ozarks Marina

Lake of the Ozarks Newest Full-Service Marina

Redhead Yacht Club located at 1650 Yacht Club Dr. Hwy KK to Three Seasons Rd (or by the water at the 21 mile marker), is one of the Lake of the Ozarks newest full-service marinas. To say full service is an understatement because Redhead Yacht Club offers more high quality services and products than any facility like it at the lake. As a matter of fact, you would have a hard time finding any facility anywhere in the U.S. that tops its offerings!

I can tell you I've been going to this facility since the late 1970's before Rusty Clark owned Yacht Club Marina, and you would not even recognize it. YCM was a popular destination as it became the Sea Doo dealer in the 1980's, which brought many people to this location over the years.

My parents kept a boat moored at YCM for many years, as did my aunt and uncle. I used to pull up in my 1981 DeLorean and would be the talk of the Marina. If I still owned the DeLorean and pulled up on the Redhead Yacht Club parking lot today, it would feel as if the future caught up to the DeLorean's time-traveling capabilities as suggested in the 80's hit movie – Back to the Future!

The evolutionary process of development was well recognized by the owners of Redhead Yacht Club. Their vision and great planning – along with the lake's likely largest private investments in a single development – has raised Redhead Yacht Club to the pinnacle of waterfront developments at Lake of the Ozarks while at the same time establishing a par for future developers to achieve.

This is all great news for anyone interested in our community's sustainability. This single investment will have a tremendous impact on real estate values, helping potential vacationers, second-home buyers and retirement-home buyers determine that the Lake of the Ozarks is the place for them!

Performance Boat Center

To start Redhead Yacht Clubs facility is home to  Performance Boat Center . Performance boat center operates out of several state-of-the-art buildings offering sales, service and support for many types of boats here at Lake of the Ozarks. Performance Boat Centers showroom is incredible and a must see for any visitor to the lake. The showroom has lots of natural light showing off their boats like the works in an art museum. Specializing in Performance Boats you can view Power Boats on display in their showroom that range in price from $100k to over a Million! The boats on the upper end of this spectrum have amazing paint and finishes which the lighting shows off like a sunny day on the lake.

Performance Boat Center’s boats are truly some of the highest quality, finest appointed and powered boats on Earth! They offer boats from Outerlimits, Skater, Cigarette, Statement Marine, Sunsation and Princess Yachts as well as a fine selection of quality Brokered Boats. You wont find a sales staff more knowledgeable about the products they sell and represent, or a service team more capable anywhere in the Midwest. With Mercury certified technicians, you can be assured your boating investment has the right people behind you.

Redhead Yacht Club Property

Redhead Yacht Club has acquired much of the property within their cove. Cabins are available for nightly and weekly rentals. Although I have not personally viewed them, I would suspect they are appointed to the same high standard as the rest of the facility. A quick birds eye view of the facility would suggest that they have plans for more to come in this department.

Redhead Yacht Club offers boat slips both wet and dry ranging in sizes and amenities. They also offer a well-appointed marina store, public restrooms, and a fuel dock with ice, soda, beer and snacks. Every time I've visited the fuel dock, it has been staffed to help get my boat docked safely.

Redhead Lakeside Grill

The newest component to Redhead Yacht Club is the Redhead Lakeside Grill . The smoke-free facility offers indoor and multiple outdoor seating areas. On the front side of the building there is ground-level seating overlooking the fuel dock and the view out of the cove. Immediately above this level on the second floor, is an outdoor deck that in the fall/winter months has a high quality zippered canvas enclosure. The enclosure is almost entirely see-through similar to the Eisenglass on your boat. Overhead are plumbed radiant heaters along with a fireplace located in the south wall giving you plenty of warmth on the coldest of days. Clearly they have prepared this area to be utilized much of the year as they plan to be open 7 days a week, year round.

redhead yacht club reviews

Entering the Lakeside Grill you will find an amazing bar with appointments such as custom nautical lighting fixtures, door handles, bar railings and the like. The wood-fired Pizza Oven is viewed through a wall of glass where you will see staff dressed like they work at a five star hotel/restaurant. The restrooms on either level are as nicely appointed as any and have just the right level of music piped into them drowning out the sounds associated with a visit to any restroom. The attention to detail is not amiss in this facility. I’m for being green but sometimes you need a paper towel for whatever the reason, only to find that the restroom you are at only offers hand dryers. You wont be aggravated by a visit to the restroom at Redhead Grill as their restrooms offer both.

The Redhead Grill has an elevator for handicap service or special needs to both levels, not limiting where you may want to sit if you have a disability. The TV configuration is one of the best I have seen and on a small level somewhat like those found at a huge Rock Concert venue. TVs behind the bar or throughout the facility are tuned into sports channels or local coverage of boating events. The décor is not over the top but exactly the types of finishes that make it unique to Redhead Grill and display the thought put into the entire facility.

redhead yacht club reviews

The Redhead Grill offers an outdoor bar with plenty of seating as well as two pools integrated into one another. In total that is three bars if you are counting, so service is from my experience always speedy and without frustration as the staff seem to have everything they need to make your visit and their presentation to you unequalled at the lake.

Upon each of my visits to the Redhead Grill the staff are well trained and are always smiling. They seem to be proud to have the job they are responsible for. What a fresh experience! Often times after visiting a restaurant in any market place, I am left with many negative impressions, not the case here. The food is great and there is a nice selection of healthy choices unlike so many menus that are heavily filled with deep-fried options.

My wife and I have owned multiple restaurants here at the lake  and know very well the challenges operations can be. It seems through well organized management, the Redhead Grill is capable of delivering a quality experience time after time.

In summary Redhead Yacht Club, Performance Boat Center and Redhead Lakeside Grill are doing things right. I recognized many faces such as Rusty, Myrick, Elmo and Pierre, these guys have been in this business for a long time and have a lineage of success. It is nice to know that Redhead is not only providing the best of all the facets of business they offer, but are doing so with local people!

These are just my observations so I encourage you to go see for yourself and allow the staff to live up to their show-me states motto and “show you” what they have to offer. I feel very fortunate to have such an investment made in our community, Redhead Yacht Club should not only be welcomed to our community but should be recognized as a vital asset to the sustainability of our community and its tourist driven market.

Thank you Redhead Yacht Club and best wishes!

It was smooth sailing for opening of minnesota yacht club, the new music festival in st. paul.

Liz and Tom Glenn knew how to plan for a full day at a big music festival with their kids in tow.

The Shoreview family arrived Friday at the inaugural Minnesota Yacht Club Festival on Harriet Island in St. Paul with a blanket, a stroller and other parenting accoutrements like the Tushbaby. That's a fanny-pack device that a parent can strap on and hold a child in front for dancing.

And Liz did just that with Vera, 7, during Michigander, the favorite act of Zander, 4, who studied the Kalamazoo indie rock group on YouTube.

"This is their first concert," said Liz, 42, whose first festival was Lilith Fair back in the 1990s.

Minnesota Yacht Club is the first music festival since 2012 at Harriet Island, which has a long history of such events including Riverfest and Taste of Minnesota.

But as the elitist moniker might suggest, Minnesota Yacht Club (MYC) was a first-class operation — from electronic wrist bands of various strata to riverboat cruises — presented by C3 based in Austin, Texas, which stages Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas.

"They do great on events. It's dialed in," said Jay "J-Bird" Cook, who helped organized the Soundset hip-hop festival in the Twin Cities from 2009 to 2019. He came to MYC with his wife and daughter to see Joan Jett, "one of my childhood crushes."

Such '90s stars as Alanis Morissette and Gwen Stefani on Friday drew a crowd of 34,000, mostly between the ages of 45 and 60 (Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Offspring are slated for Saturday). There are two stages, running opposite each other, with about a minute passing when one stage finishes and the other begins.

Greg Pilkington, 61, of Salt Lake City was disappointed that the Black Crowes, the act he most wanted to see, canceled on Thursday night because of illness. But otherwise he was impressed.

"This is well thought out," said the New Orleans Jazz Fest regular. "The food was OK, better than most fests but not as good as Jazz Fest."

He added that the video screens on the two stages were "small for a venue of this size."

The good thing, several festgoers mentioned, was that you could stay in one spot and still see the other stage even though it was a couple of football fields away.

Chris Foley, 53, of Dayton was impressed by "how much infrastructure they have. I thought they wouldn't put in enough money. The sound is so good we could hear from the St. Paul Hotel. And the vendors are set up so people can spend money as fast as they can."

Some festgoers in long lines might disagree. One bearded man was about 40th in line at the mocktail stand. "It's either this or go sober," he said, declining to give his name. But he'd already done his good deed for the day, volunteering to fill up a large garbage bag with empty cans in exchange for a free festival T-shirt.

Of course, he could have paid $40 for the shirt at the merch tent, where there were special express lanes for Chase cardholders and VIP ticket holders.

Paxton Schenck,14, of Woodbury tapped her feet in the VIP bleachers to Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You."

"It's really cool," she said. Her only previous concert, she said, was Katy Perry.

But she and her aunt, Elizabeth Hjelmen, 43, of Minneapolis wanted to head down to the field to get close to the stage for Stefani. Good move, because Stefani's husband, country superstar Blake Shelton, joined her for "Purple Irises."

St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter welcomed the crowd before Stefani took the stage at dinnertime. He asked for a round of applause for all the St. Paul workers who helped make the festival run smoothly in a city park, and praised the partnership with C3 promoters.

"If you want to come back next year," Carter said, "then make some noise."

The crowd hollered back at him.

Several veteran festivalgoers had suggestions for next year.

"They need more seating for VIP," said Amy Ross, 65, of Albuquerque, N.M. "It's not a cheap ticket for a two-day festival — $675. Selling chairs would be a huge money maker."

Sporting a Joan Jett & the Blackhearts T-shirt, Mike Latour, 67, of Minneapolis, a veteran of Coachella and Lollapalooza at Harriet Island in the '90s, wished that Jett's set had lasted longer than 60 minutes.

Corey Baesler, 28, of Minneapolis pronounced MYC "not as cool as Bonnaroo but better than Warped Tour or We Fest. Letting people bring in camping chairs would be my recommendation."

With blankets allowed, festgoers just had to plan ahead — like the Glenns did. They arranged for Grandma to pick up the kids about 6:30 p.m., so Mom and Dad could return for the final four hours of music.

Jon Bream has been a music critic at the Star Tribune since 1975, making him the longest tenured pop critic at a U.S. daily newspaper. He has attended more than 8,000 concerts and written four books (on Prince, Led Zeppelin, Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan). Thus far, he has ignored readers’ suggestions that he take a music-appreciation class.

Review: Stefani, Morissette spark a 'Hella Good' start to Minnesota Yacht Club festival

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Experience matters. Even in rock 'n' roll — and especially at rock 'n' roll festivals.

After eight months of cutesy marketing and ample media coverage, St. Paul's Minnesota Yacht Club festival finally set sail Friday on Harriet Island Regional Park and got off to a remarkably swift and smooth start for an inaugural music fest. Credit for its success should largely go to its seasoned crew.

The music lineup in the fest is heavily loaded with old pros, and that proved not to be a bad thing Friday. Opening day's feminist rock trifecta of Alanis Morissette , Gwen Stefani and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts all skillfully strutted their stuff and showed the kids how to get it done. Never mind that there were very few kids among the crowd of 34,000 fans.

As much as those venerable performers deserve props, though, so do the operators of Minnesota's first new major music fest in more than a decade.

The event was launched by C3 Presents, the Texas-founded company behind Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and a couple dozen more festivals. These folks truly know the music fest business. About time Twin Cities fans benefitted from it.

Yacht Club's electronic wristbands and well-trained security staff made for smooth entrances. The stage production and sound were primo. The layout and flow between the two stages was well-organized. The music ran nearly nonstop and on time. And all the assorted VIP and "platinum" areas offered added comfort for those willing to pay at least a few hundred bucks more more than the relatively good-value $215-$255 general-admission two-day passes.

One noticeable snag: Food and drink lines got long as the crowd swelled in the late afternoon. Good thing many Minnesotans are too cheap to down $15 beers, or things could've been worse.

Seriously, though, the crowd on opening day was discernibly devoid of youth and almost exclusively middle-aged. MYC's lack of musical and generational diversity could be considered a shortcoming for what was billed as a hip, modern festival.

All those teens and college kids buying up throwback Chili Peppers and No Doubt T-shirts at Urban Outfitters and Kohl's are apparently more into cheap fashion ware than they are those bands' music, because none of them showed up to Yacht Club on opening day. If they had to move the festival to September for any reason, falling on a school day probably wouldn't hurt attendance much.

There's plenty to learn and apply to future years. In the meantime, here are some general takeaways from Friday's festival:

Women obviously ruled the day. It was a nostalgic lineup, sure, but this one trait about Friday's lineup could be seen as a hip, modern element. Aside from specifically targeted events like Lilith Fair, you never would have seen a festival with that many female singers atop the poster card in the 1990s, when Morissette and Stefani's old band No Doubt were in their heyday; certainly not in the '80s, when Jett dominated.

Losing the Black Crowes on the lineup due to illness was a real disappointment, but that just emphasized the women headliners all the more. What's more, the day also saw electrifying sets by a couple other women-led acts, too: Country rocker Morgan Wade and the punky hometown band who kicked off the day in hard-throttling style, Gully Boys.

Stefani seemed to be having the most fun. Her husband, Blake Shelton, may have wisely picked up on the strong feminine vibe when he showed up to sing one song with her — and only one! — their new single "Purple Irises," compared with the three she sang with him in town at his TC Summer Jam gig in 2022 . That bit seemed to delight her a lot, but so did the crowd's excited reaction throughout her 60-minute performance, from "Sunday Morning" at the start to the mid-set groover "Hella Good" to her firebrand closer, "Just a Girl."

"Think about how many years I've been loving you guys!" she cheered before the finale, adding, "This song means even more nowadays." Especially on this day.

The elder stateswoman rocked the hardest. This was the best and most bombastic of Jett's many gigs here in recent years. Of course, the 65-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's main hits went over in a big way at a big, summery music fest, including "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," "Bad Reputation" and the Runaways' "Cherry Bomb." She also dropped in a cool batch of edgier, deeper cuts with inclusive messaging, including "Different" and a cover of the Minnesota classic "Androgynous," which she introduced by saying, "I'm a big fan of this band and its songwriter, Paul Westerberg and the Replacements."

Morissette hasn't changed much (and that's a good thing). With an orange-ish moon adding dramatic ambience overhead, the Canadian record-maker/breaker put on a rather gutsy, in-your-face, 90-minute performance predictably filled with her big hits, including "One Hand in My Pocket" as the opener and "You Oughta Know" near the end. But she made the set way better than just a nostalgic singalong by delivering some similarly emphatic-sounding, inner-tumultuous newer songs, including the epic piano ballad "Rest" and the rockier "Smiling," the latter written for her hit Broadway musical, "Jagged Little Pill." Her voice was as strong as ever, her band was versatile, and she clearly deserved being the headliner.

There was one new element to the show we didn't see in the '90s, though: Morissette brought out her daughter Onyx, age 8, and another young friend to sing "Ironic." How ironic to hear it sung with such sweetness.

Even the younger acts sang the Gen-X hits. Wade earned loud cheers for her semi-ironic cover of Rick Springfield's "Jessie's Girl." Nerdy but impactful Kalamazoo indie-rocker Michigander sang part of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." The U2 song fit his own lost-wanderer, soul-searching vibe, evidenced by his unreleased tune that followed, "Giving Up." And after their own hit "Who's Laughing Now," local rockers Durry ended their set with a rousing take on Jimmyeatworld's "The Middle" (technically a millennials hit, but close enough).

The day's breakout performer was… . Sporting a Jett T-shirt and playing under a blazing midafternoon sun — things would soon cool down nicely with cloud cover — Wade coolly delivered an ultra-impressive set of musically refined, ruggedly poetic twang-rock that greatly contrasted her choice of covers. The Virginia singer came off like a tattooed Stevie Nicks in down-and-out rockers like "The Night" and "2 AM in London," each fueled by her smoky but sweet voice. A genuine wow.

What about Day Two? The bro factor should be much higher on Saturday, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining, preceded by the Offspring, Gary Clark Jr., the Hold Steady, Soul Asylum and Hippo Campus. Tickets are sold-out except for some higher-end platinum and VIP options.

Owned by Chuck Bond. I'd definitely say its one of the best places to live in Moscow. It's just off campus, affordably priced, and 'round the clock maintenance and speedy response to any issues. Extremely well maintained. Laundry facility on site and great neighbors! Nothing better than living in the Yacht Club for 3.5 years!! Chuck's amazing!
