INTRODUCING THE NEW 90M ER 90 SUPERYACHT NO LIMITS BY ER YACHT DESIGN

ER Yacht Design has unveiled the renderings of one of its latest pioneering concepts: the 90-metre ER 90 superyacht project No Limits.

ER Yacht Design has partnered with Istanbul-based yacht design company Eureka Yachts on No Limits in an effort to achieve the highest standard of design in the maritime industry for both the interior and exterior of the ER 90. 

With a beam of 14.5-metres and a draft of 4.5-metres, the yacht stands out in relation to other vessels of the same size and category due to its extensive bluewater capabilities and high navigation tailored to polar regions, including the likes of the Arctic and Antarctica.

The ER 90 project, which is currently under construction at the Turkey-based shipyard RMK Marine, is the product of extensive research carried out over the last three years about the ins and outs of explorer yachts, ensuring that every detail delivers in terms of stability, hull efficiency, redundancy, winterization, and helicopter operations.

Furthermore, this 90-metre Expedition hybrid motor yacht is composed of a sturdy, special steel hull and aluminium superstructure to grant stability, with the hull being designed to meet the Category B Ice Class and Polar Class 6 standards in order to traverse polar weather conditions.

In addition, both her hull and superstructure exhibit an eye-catching concave design on their sculptural surfaces, while also maintaining a sleek sense of minimalism.

As for the ER 90’s exterior living spaces, the clean, glossy deck layouts embody both chicness and safety for navigating icy conditions, with her aft components donning spacious windows for heightened visibility, as well as a well-lit interior.

Regarding both her interior and exterior design, the craftsmanship of Eureka Yachts marries uncompromising practicality and modern, aesthetically-pleasing luxury.

Turquoise Yachts has presented a 61 metre concept called Echo, designed by Canadian studio ER Yacht Design.

The yacht’s design centres around a contemporary profile with tapered aft decks, long lines of glazing and a distinctive reverse bow.  

The first collaboration between Turquoise and ER Yacht Design, Echo has been described as having “restrained flair and unrestrained performance” by the shipyard.

Accommodation for 12 comprises six guest cabins on the main deck and a full-beam master that occupies the complete upper deck – all with generous glazing that stretches almost full-height. A further seven cabins are allocated for 14 crew below deck.

In terms of alfresco space, Echo benefits from a six-metre pool on the aft and a generous bow area with space for up to 35 guests on an entertaining area on the upper deck. 

Other features include a staircase that connects the main deck to the upper deck, which has been conceived to be a “feature” as opposed to an “obstacle”.

“It has been our utmost pleasure developing this unique and extraordinary design for Turquoise Yachts,” said Ivan Erdevicki, president of ER Yacht Design.  “The elegance and simplicity with sculpted services around hull and superstructure openings provide distinctive character.”

Key numbers include a beam of 10.5 metres, a draft of 2.7 metres and a GT of 899.

Echo has a cruising speed of 17 knots and can reach up to 27 knots and she is envisioned with twin 1080kw engines.

Construction begins on RMK Marine's largest explorer yacht

RMK Marine has laid the keel of its 65-metre custom explorer in an "emotional ceremony", according to the shipyard's yacht director Özgur Numan. Provisionally known as ER65 , the yacht is due for launch in 2026 when she will become RMK Marine's flagship.

ER65 has been designed with long-range cruising and go-anywhere capabilities in mind. The 1,374GT yacht will be built to Lloyds ice-class standards and will be one of a rare few to carry the title of Polar Code Category B - Ice Class PC 6.

To complement her explorer nature, ER65 will boast a helipad with a refuelling station and a dedicated tender hangar complete with a watertight compartment to store a deep-water submarine.

The yacht’s clean and minimalist design comes courtesy of the Vancouver-based studio ER Yacht Design , which will handle the interiors also. Engineering and production design has been handled by RMK Marine and Eureka Yachts.

"This is the kind of project that a yacht designer waits for all his life," said Ivan Erdevecki, founder of ER Yacht Design. "The owner specifically requested a custom-designed, long-range, go-anywhere project for an expedition motor yacht, with style and an elegant timeless, classic look, that I was very happy to land on my desk."

Accommodation is offered for 12 guests with a crew of 20. Spread over five decks, ER65 will boast a long list of amenities including a library, sauna, gym, massage room and medical facilities. Alongside her helicopter, the yacht will also have two eight-metre custom-built aluminium expedition tenders.

“For this reason, our shipyard is the perfect fit for a project such as ER65,” said Özgür Numan, yacht department director at RMK Marine. “When we first saw the general arrangements and the profile of the yacht, we simply fell in love with its elegance and graceful sheer line. We are very excited about the idea of building this craft."

According to BOATPro , RMK Marine has three yachts currently under construction – including the 49.9-metre Project Aries, which recently changed central agency.

Er yacht design 60-metre classic design project.

ER Yacht Design  announced on the first day of the LYJPCS an order for the redesign and naval architecture of a classic sixties-built superyacht for a discerning client.

The design is for the conversion of existing vessel into a 60m expedition yacht, which will retain the original classical hull lines with the new modernised superstructure integrated sympathetically and seamlessly into the new form. The vessel’s powerful lines, structurally strong hull and modern insulation will make the yacht a functional expedition yacht with Ice-rating, capable of long distance cruising to the remotest parts of the World.

Technically speaking, the yacht will retain the structural backbone of the original hull and fore section of the superstructure and, with the addition of new deck and extension of the existing decks, will achieve spacious accommodation and entertainment areas that are important for this size of vessel.

The result is the creation of a new boat with minimal changes, timeless styling that will give the boat a new look and purpose of a thoroughbred expedition yacht.This is a modern classic redesign of a perfectly formed hull with a good seakeeping ability, manoeuvrable, economical to run and both strong and reliable vessel. It offers accommodation of generous proportions such as a full beam owner’s stateroom with panoramic aspect, en-suite guest cabins, two salons and plenty of entertainment areas. The outside space, spread over three decks, with the fly-bridge deck as an observation area, whilst the main and the upper decks spaces are large enough to accommodate two 8.5m heavy-duty tenders, full size helipad on the upper deck, Jacuzzi and the transom swim platform, which still leaves a lot of space for entertaining, outdoor dining, sunbathing and games.The yacht is being designed for an experienced owner who appreciates the beauty of the classic ship’s form and who is planning to undertake extensive long distance cruising.

The yacht, fitted out with all mod cons and equipped with fast robust expedition tenders, helipad and up to date communications systems will be a very comfortable long-distance cruising vessel but also a base from which to manage all day-to-day business as well. The reconstruction project, managed through Earlymarket LLP of West London, and slated to start middle of the year and expected to take nine to twelve months with delivery expected in 2016.

KINGCAT 85 – FAST CRUISING POWER CATAMARAN

This spacious catamaran capable of accommodating eight guests and crew of two now comes in two distinct versions, one with an open fly bridge and second with fully enclosed, air- conditioned fly bridge, both with the aft sun deck and Jacuzzi. The brief by Kinship was to produce minimalist styling with clean lines and a boat with big yacht features, a fast comfortable cruiser but very manoeuvrable and easy to handle at sea and in marina.

The KingCAT 85 is an all-aluminium yacht with powerful twin hulls, pleasing shear lines with a modern neat looking superstructure enveloped in panoramic windows all around the main deck accommodation and the fly bridge with commanding views of the whole boat. The exterior profile features sleek streamlined hulls with plumb stems and a long waterline for speed and efficient carving in the seaway. The propulsion is twin diesels powering water-jets with a maximum speed of 28 knots, which, in combination with bow thrusters, will provide exceptional manoeuvrability.

The deck space is maximised using the full 31ft beam available, the leisure area is covered in teak decking fitted with flush glass hatches for natural light below. Aft, the space between hulls and under the spacious cockpit deck is used to neatly store the tender covered by a permanent swim platform, which, together with platforms on each hull makes a spacious beach club, a feature normally found on much larger yachts. The access to the main deck is from the platforms on each hull, via steps leading to the cockpit; the steps cleverly doubling as engine covers giving unrestricted access for maintenance.

The accommodation is arranged over the main deck all on one level and below in the twin hulls, the latter ones mirroring each other in layout. The owner’s stateroom is on the main deck to the front giving it immediate access to the salon and by stairs to the pilothouse station, whilst the glass door to the front of the stateroom open directly onto the fore sundeck.

The main accommodation is divided into four distinct areas, a dining room seating eight in comfort, served from a fully fitted well-equipped galley with a full size six-burner stove and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, icemaker, wine cellar and plenty of storage cupboards. The galley is fronted by a neat cocktail bar ideal for serving aperitifs and snacks and to service rest of the boat. The leisure areas are arranged in two sections over the full width of the accommodation and includes games and entertainment area and a quiet relaxation area open to the cockpit, looking aft.

Amid-ship are port and starboard stairways leading to the respective hull’s lower deck accommodation, each leading into a lobby and self-contained en suite double cabins, to the fore and aft of the hulls. The below deck accommodation has over 2 metres headroom throughout and gets plenty of natural light from large oblong portholes in the hull and from the overhead opaque glass hatches. All cabins are air conditioned for comfort, whilst the engine compartments are acoustically insulated. Both main deck and the lower deck accommodation layout is flexible and can be customised to clients’ preference, providing it doesn’t require structural modification of the yacht. The interior styling, fixtures and fittings use only a high quality natural materials and fabrics, which also can be customised to clients’ taste and style.

The fly bridge is reached from the cockpit by stairs to the port side leading immediately to the relaxation area with a plush outdoor L-shape sofa and a large Jacuzzi to starboard flanked by sunbeds on one side and a large grill bar to the other side. To the front is the centrally located fly bridge steering position with a commanding view of the whole boat and a step or two away from the port and starboard end of the bridge with the wing controls stations and a perfect view of each hull when docking. A Bimini hardtop supported by twin masts covers the fly bridge, carrying radar, communication dome, antennae and other obligatory equipment.

The alternative is a fully enclosed fly bridge version with panoramic glass windows and full height glass sliding doors to the aft sundeck. The enclosed fly bridge is fully air-conditioned and can be reached externally by stairs from the cockpit on the main deck or directly from the salon below by a spiral staircase. Aft of the centrally positioned steering station is a generous sun lounge with a cocktail bar and two L-shaped sofas and coffee tables. A round-shaped Jacuzzi can be located amid-ship on the sundeck with a perfect view of the cockpit and the beach club below. Altogether, a spacious yacht with plenty of room and space for leisure and entertainment, a perfect cruising yacht and a party boat in a marina.

RMK Marine has been awarded the construction of a 65m/213ft luxury expedition yacht ‘ER65’ , designed by Ivan Erdevicki of Vancouver-based studio ER Yacht Design .

E/Y ER65 will be built to polar and Lloyd’s ice-class requirements and will be one of a select few vessels to have the Polar Code B – Ice Class PC 6 classification. State-of-the-art technology and luxuries on board ensure that all guests have a safe and comfortable journey.

ER yacht Design will also complete the interiors, which will be timelessly classic while maintaining a plain and clean appearance. Amongst her amenities, there will be a library, gym, sauna, massage room, beach club and medical room, while elsewhere on board there is a deepwater submarine that will be stored within a watertight compartment, a helipad with a refuelling station and the latest generation of hybrid propulsion.

Motor yacht ER65 by RMK Marine

The accommodation is designed to sleep up to 12 guests across 6 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite and 5 further guest cabins. There is also accommodation for the expert crew of 20.

RMK Marine has a wealth of experience in constructing ice-class vessels to polar standards, and its commercial venture includes models over 150m/492ft. Once completed, motor yacht ER65 will become the flagship for the shipyard luxury yachting line.

The keel for explorer yacht ER65 will be laid in Q3 of 2022 and her completion is expected for summer 2025.

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.

Superyacht von Mark Zuckerberg: Hat er sich diese gekauft?

Die 118 Meter lange Superyacht Launchpad machte letzte Woche ihre Jungfernfahrt.

In der Jachtwelt wird spekuliert, dass ihr Besitzer Meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg ist.

Hier ist, was wir über das Luxusschiff wissen.

In der Welt der Superyachten ist die Privatsphäre das wertvollste Gut. Es kann nahezu unmöglich sein, die Details einer Superyacht-Transaktion zu erfahren. Vor allem, wenn das betreffende Schiff einen neunstelligen Betrag wert ist.

Doch in der Welt der Bootsblogger wird jetzt spekuliert, dass Meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg der neue Besitzer von Launchpad ist. Die Megayacht liegt derzeit in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, vor Anker, nachdem sie letzte Woche ihre Jungfernfahrt von Gibraltar nach St. Maarten absolviert hat.

Die Transaktion konnte nicht bestätigt werden. Insider aus der Yachtwelt lehnten es ab, ihre Kenntnisse mitzuteilen. Vertreter von Zuckerberg reagierten nicht auf eine Anfrage von Business Insider.

In der Vergangenheit haben sich Berichte über Zuckerbergs Besitz der Superyacht Ulysses als falsch erwiesen. „Es ist die Standardpolitik von Feadship, niemals Informationen über unsere Yachten in Bezug auf Eigentum, Kosten oder Lieferung usw. preiszugeben“, schrieb Feadship, der Erbauer des Schiffs, an Business Insider. „Ob es sich um ein 18 Meter langes Feadship aus den 1960er Jahren oder ein 118 Meter langes Feadship aus dem 21. Jahrhundert handelt, wir geben keine privaten Informationen weiter.“

Seit einigen Monaten bringen Leute den Namen Zuckerberg bereits mit Launchpad in Verbindung, nachdem im Dezember Berichte aufgekommen waren, dass er die Feadship-Werft in den Niederlanden besuchte.

Anfang März begannen Yacht-Blogger wie eSysman SuperYachts und Autoevolution zu spekulieren. Sie vermuteten, dass Mark Zuckerberg das Boot erworben hat. Ursprünglich war es für einen sanktionierten russischen Geschäftsmann gebaut worden und wurde offiziell für etwa 276,4 Millionen Euro erworben. (Das ist zwar eine scheinbar riesige Summe. Aber immer noch weniger als 0,2 Prozent von Zuckerbergs Nettovermögen von in etwa 163 Milliarden Euro .)

Ein weiteres Indiz, das auf ein US-Eigentum hinweisen könnte, ist die Tatsache, dass die Yacht unter der Flagge der Marshallinseln fährt. Die Marshallinseln sind ein US-Territorium, auf dem amerikanische Käufer ihre Schiffe üblicherweise registrieren lassen, wie aus öffentlichen Schiffsüberwachungs-Daten hervorgeht.

Sollte Zuckerberg Launchpad tatsächlich gekauft haben, würde er sich einer Gruppe von Tech-Milliardären anschließen, die eine Superyacht besitzen. Neben Bezos haben auch Oracle-Mitbegründer Larry Ellison und die Google-Mitbegründer Sergey Brin und Larry Page beeindruckende Boote mit einer noch beeindruckenderen Ausstattung erworben.

Die Website SuperYacht Times , eine Branchenpublikation und Informationsplattform, hat einige der besten Bilder der Yacht. Die Fotos zeigen einen Swimmingpool auf dem Hauptdeck und einen großen Hubschrauberlandeplatz. Über das Innere ist weniger bekannt. Aber ein Schiff dieser Größe kann wahrscheinlich Dutzende von Gästen und Besatzungsmitgliedern beherbergen.

Außerdem verfügt es möglicherweise über Annehmlichkeiten wie ein großes Fitnessstudio , in dem Zuckerberg sein Jiu-Jitsu trainieren könnte, oder ein Spa mit einem Massagebereich. Wir vermuten, dass es auch Platz für jede Menge Spielzeug gibt – dazu könnte auch seine virale Tragflächenfolie gehören.
