Welcome to Trick Powerboats!

We're thrilled to announce the arrival of the new Trick 23' Widebody. The boat was created and tooled by Jeff Haag, who invested nearly two years in its meticulous design and construction.

The Trick 23' Widebody boasts a contemporary catamaran design with an elevated center pod, perfectly engineered to accommodate today's heavier and higher horsepower outboard motors.

She's a big girl,

with a overall width of 8' 6" and a cockpit that surrounds you with a wrap around windshield that you look through, not over, which is a first in its class. Finally...a 23' catamaran that you sit in, not on, that delivers the look and feel of a much larger cat. Power options include a single Mercury 300R, 400R, 500R or twin 300R's.

Seeing the lines and curves of this girl will make you smile....it's a good day at Trick Powerboats and we're proud to share it.

The hull, deck, cockpit liner, and seats will all be built using a vacuum infusion process with vinyl ester resin, ensuring that the build quality is nothing less than exceptional. Unrigged hull weight is 1405 lbs. The base model comes equipped with a Mercury 300R, fully rigged with hydraulic steering and a hydraulic jackplate. It also features a 9-inch Garmin display with Vessel View, a Fusion stereo system, LED navigation lights, a 3/8-inch acrylic windshield, twin aluminum fuel tanks, stainless hardware, EVA flooring, and a Wesco double-axle aluminum trailer.

At present, the all-inclusive turn-key pricing stands at $133,242.

We'll keep you informed with the latest specifications and performance data as they become available. The boat measures 23' 1" in length overall (LOA) and has a width of 8'6", with a tunnel width of 55".  The elevated center pod was designed to provide additional static flotation and improve midrange handling characteristics. Fuel capacity is 54 or 60 gallons in 2 aluminum tanks. Larger catamaran owners will appreciate the 3/8" acrylic windscreen providing full wrap around wind protection.  We're expecting great things with the Trick 23 Widebody and we'll continue to post updates on the progress in production as well as water test data shortly.

We're committed to building the 23 Widebody using the finest materials and premium products available in the market. Our dedication to excellence is reflected in our manufacturing process, which employs a state-of-the-art vacuum infusion method utilizing multi-axle fiberglass and 100% vinyl ester resin. For added strength and durability, we incorporate marine foam core materials in the deck, hull and liner, while bulkheads are reinforced with honeycomb core and multi-axle fiberglass. The transom is engineered to handle today's higher weight and higher horsepower motors to effortlessly tackle the most challenging waters with confidence. Whether your build includes a single 300R or twin 300R's, we've got you covered.  We're proud to produce quality you can count on, year after year.

Quality you can count on.

23 Widebody -180.jpg

Built to Perform

The 23 Widebody features a distinctive hull design with several unique characteristics. Measuring at 23 feet and 1 inch in length and 8 feet and 6 inches in width, this boat stands out. It boasts a tunnel width of 55 inches, enabling it to efficiently compress air at lower speeds.

The elevated center pod serves a distinct function. It was designed to maintain contact with the water during low and mid-speed operation, delivering outstanding handling characteristics reminiscent of center-pod catamarans. The pod is positioned at a height that perfectly aligns with the inner chines on the sponsons, hovering well above the hull's running surface. This elevation effectively lifts the center pod above the boat's running surface at higher speeds, minimizing drag and reducing resistance, ultimately enhancing the boat's speed capabilities. The pod's dead rise also ensures a gentler re-entry into the water providing the best ride possible.

Aquila 36 Boat Test

  • By Chris Caswell
  • Updated: January 10, 2019

If the idea of a magic carpet appealed to you as a kid, then the Aquila 36 will be your adult fantasy. We were speeding along aboard the 36 when I was so overcome with the sensation of being aboard a magic carpet that I wanted to fold my arms across my chest as though I were a sheik of Araby.

Part of it stems from the rectangular catamaran shape of the Aquila, of course, but mostly it was the softly undulating ride. I half expected to see the fringed edges fluttering in the breeze.

MarineMax, the world’s largest powerboat dealership, created MarineMax Vacations, a bareboat charter operation based in the British Virgin Islands, and wanted power cats in its fleet. It cut a deal with the Sino Eagle Group, a high-tech Chinese builder, to produce the Aquila line that would not only fill the company’s charter fleet but also be available to private owners as well through MarineMax dealerships. Success was immediate with the Aquila 48, followed by the 44 and now the 36.

But the Aquila 36 breaks with her sisterships by being an outboard-powered express cruiser perfect for a family or two couples. The single-level main deck stretches unbroken from transom to bow, adding to the magic-carpet effect. Our test boat had the optional hardtop (a no-brainer) with a glass windshield and side windows, which can be soft-enclosed for all-weather use with air conditioning or heat.

The main living area is under that hardtop, with a dinette to port opposite the double-wide helm seat with flip-up bolsters for standing. The simple dash handles a pair of Raymarine HybridTouch screens plus a VesselView 4 systems monitor, with the throttle/shifters on an outboard elbow ledge.

Just behind the helm seat is a summer galley with a big sink, Isotherm fridge and one-burner Kenyon cooktop, supplemented by a large Kenyon smokeless grill in a console. Our test 36 had the fishing option, with a livewell and tackle station aft, while the standard arrangement places a wide settee to port and another seat to starboard.

The walk-through windshield is three pieces, so you can tailor the amount of breeze in the cockpit with various combinations. More choices are forward, with folding seat backs to create fore and aft bench settees or large sun pads. The anchor gear is hidden under a hatch, with a wired-remote windlass and easy access to the all-chain rode under a separate hatch.

The result is a stable platform that can carry 20 adults for afternoon outings and barbecues with seating for all. We don’t want to offend anyone, but the 36 has the user-friendly appeal of a big pontoon boat.

Yet the Aquila 36 is also a great weekender, since each hull houses a surprisingly spacious stateroom, complete with an en-suite head and shower. Each berth is just an inch under queen size and — surprise — the headroom is a healthy 6 feet 6 inches. Stowage is good with drawers plus a full-width hanging locker. The appeal of cabins in each hull is the level of privacy: no shared bulkheads or listening to anyone (except your partner) snore. Or whatever.

Power choices are twin Mercury Verado outboards of 250, 300 and 350 hp. I can’t imagine opting for anything but the 350s that powered our test boat. Who wants an underpowered sports car? Our test boat also had a Fischer Panda 5 kW genset to power the air conditioner (and margarita blender). This is a diesel unit in a sound box in the aft starboard hull, drawing from a separate 16-gallon diesel tank.

If you’re shopping for a similar-size express cruiser cat with outboards, good luck. You can sea-trial a Fountaine Pajot MY 37 (about $420,000 with twin 150 hp Volvo Penta diesel inboards) or check out the Carver 34 Coupe ($472,000) with inboards and a single cabin. Neither is outboard-powered.

We were impressed by the Aquila construction, with its resin-infused hull, PVC coring and impeccable mold work. No wood is used below the waterline or in structural components, and you could eat out of the bilges. The 12-volt DC and 120-volt AC electrical distribution panel is at eye level in the starboard cabin for easy access, and all wiring is neatly loomed and labeled. Clearly built for the charter market where low maintenance and easy repairs are crucial, the seamanlike Aquila will please private owners as well.

Underway, this magic carpet is not only quick (40-plus mph) but also fuel-efficient, eating up the miles at about 1 mpg at almost 21 mph. Since this isn’t a planing hull, the Aquila has a flat performance curve with no hump to get on plane, so if you need to get somewhere, doubling your speed to 40-plus mph still gets you better than a half-mile per gallon (0.6 mpg).

We were enchanted with the Aquila 36. It’s a great dayboat for the family, it’s equally comfortable for weekending with all the amenities, it can be fitted for fishing or diving, and it’s beautifully built. If you’ve never quite forgotten the magic carpet in One Thousand and One Nights , the Aquila 36 is for you.

High Points

  • Boarding doors in the cockpit on each side are ideal for docks as well as diving and tenders.
  • Deep gutters for water runoff surround all deck hatches.
  • Great use of space for stowage.
  • Fuel deck fillers don’t prevent spills from flowing into the cockpit.
  • Wiper on the port windshield would be useful in spray or rain.
  • Wet showers are just that: wet.

Mercury Racing Head Sees 400-HP Four-Stroke as Top Choice for Stock Class

Among the more immediate challenges facing domestic offshore powerboat racing is power for the Stock-class catamarans that compete on the  Super Boat International  circuit. Surplus supplies of the long-discontinued 2.5-liter, 280-hp two-stroke  Mercury Racing  outboard engines have dwindled to the point of scarcity—with prices that reflect it—in the high-performance pleasure cat and racing worlds. In short, there simply aren’t enough of the still-coveted two-stroke outboards to go around.

As reported on speedonthewater.com, two United States-based Stock-class racers are experimenting with alternatives for the 2.5L outboard. Gary Ballough believes the 200XS, a plug-and-play replacement for the 2.5, is the way to go. Scott Porta believes the 300XS model, which requires modification to run the 2.5L outboard’s incredibly durable, race-proven midsection is the right call. Both engines currently being tested on the SBI circuit are direct-injection two-strokes.

Running his 32-foot Doug Wright FJ Propeller catamaran, Ballough sees 200XS outboards as the power choice of the future for SBI’s Stock class. All photos courtesy/copyright Pete Boden/ Shoot 2 Thrill Pix .

But Erik Christiansen, the general manager of Mercury Racing in Fond du Lac, Wis., believes a derivative of Mercury Racing’s Verado 400R—a four-stroke outboard that outweighs its two-stroke counterparts by approximately 200 pounds—is the best choice for the future of Stock-class competition.

“The 400R debuted it last year in XCAT racing,” Christiansen said. “That engine will be homologated into the Union Internationale Motonautique technical specifications for XCAT. “Next season will be a transitional year, but in 2017 all XCAT outboards will be four-strokes.”

Christiansen acknowledged that Stock-class racers are concerned about adopting a 400R derivative for a number of reasons, the primary ones being greater weight and higher cost. He also readily admitted that the Victory XCAT team that ran the 400-hp outboard engines near the end of the 2014 season placed ballast forward in their catamaran to maintain the proper center of gravity for the boat with its heavier four-stroke outboard.

michcity 02

Porta, who also runs a 32-foot Doug Wright called Papa’s Pilar, is in favor of the 300XS outboards becoming standard power for the class.

“The thing is, how many of the 280-hp engines blow up because people are blueprinting them to output 305 to 310 hp?” he said. “I think at the last race in Dubai, they lost six or seven of them. They’ve pushed those engines to the point where they’re not reliable. The four-stroke is going to be really reliable. It has a stock powerhead that is sealed. The cost of ownership will be lower. You won’t have to rebuild it for several seasons. You put gas in it, change the oil every now and then and go racing.

“The 300XS and Verado 400R—it’s hard to compare them in price because of their difference in power output,” he continued. “But dollar-to-dollar per (unit of) horsepower, they are similar. With the 300, you’re going to have to spend extra money to adapt it to the 2.5’s midsection. The 200 isn’t competitive, in my opinion, with the other engines. If you run the 200, the boats are going to slow down significantly.”

Christiansen said there are other trade-offs with adopting either the 200XS or the 300XS as possible replacement engines for the class.

“First, their both two-strokes, clean two-strokes but two-strokes, and the U.I.M. wanted a four-stroke,” he said. “If you’re looking at a stock 280-hp 2.5, the 300XS is probably the closest in performance to it, but it gives up a little bit on the bottom end to the 280-hp engine because the 280 has more rpm. Until you get to about 4,500 rpm, the 280 is stronger. And the four-stroke is stronger everywhere .

“The 200-hp engine isn’t in the same league as the others, but it’s easier as a replacement since it has a 2.5-liter powerhead and can be used with the midsection without modification,” he continued. “The 300-hp engine takes a bit more work—it requires an adapter plate to work with the 2.5-liter’s midsection.”

While Christiansen said he hopes Stock-class will consider the more-powerful, four-stroke outboard option as it would enable XCAT racers to compete in U.S. and domestic racers to compete in the XCAT series abroad under U.I.M. technical rules for the class, he emphasized that he believes that the members of class need to choose one engine and stick with it.

“It would be nice to see everybody racing together rather than racing separately,” Christiansen said. “However, whatever they think works best for them to go racing is great. I’d rather see them run the four-stroke, but if they decide the 200XS or the 300XS is the way to go, that’s fine. My hope is that they pick one instead of two—they don’t want to end up with two groups doing things separately in the same class. I hope they choose a common standard.”

One or two outboards on sailing catamaran

Discussion in ' Multihulls ' started by bluebox3000 , Oct 14, 2013 .

I have been studying plans for 40' sailing catamarans like the Easy Catamaran and more. Many of them are driven by two 9.9 hp high thrust outboards like Yamaha long shaft engines. I also see some discussions using only one larger outboard motor. Yamaha has a 25 hp high thrust as well. So the question I'm stuck on is if one would be better off with two 9.9 hp or one 25 hp outboard on a catamaran like that? Are the two propellers going to give more thrust than one larger etc? On other points it looks like one would have to add steering to a one motor setup but the two motor setup could be fixed.

I recently completed a 1500 mile trip with a 30 ft gemini cat with 2 x 9.9 high thrust motors. One motor was mounted on the original fiberglass hinged bucket on centerline with remotes at the helm and hooked up to the rudders with lines so it steered. The second motor was mounted on the port transom as far outboard as I could mount it, on a standard sailboat bracket, it has no remotes and doesnt steer, itwas only there as a backup as we had no sailing rig. We only ran one motor at a time as when we tried both together it only gave about 1.5 knots difference, but a couple of times we ran both just for more thrust. For the most part we ran on the center motor when there was close quarters manouvering to be done and the wing motor when we could run it for hours just to keep the engine hours close to the same. My observations are that while the wing motor was mounted off center but behind a transom and the other was on center but mounted on the bucket so theoretically more suceptible to aeration. There was no noticable difference in how they pushed the boat. That said, I am very impressed with how well the boat manouvers on the single centrally mounted motor with steering. I think that a single 25hp which steered would be a good settup on a reasonably light 40ft cat. Steve.

Two small motors sounds appealing. Once anchored a small motor could be unshipped and used to power a tender. Redundancy is also advantageous Perhaps a 30 ft cat doesnt use a powered tender. Perhaps a cat can be operated by two unmatched engines, 20hp and a 5 hp

I am currently sailing a 38ft catamaran in Greece, so have missed many threads. But we are in port right now, sheltering from thunderstorms If you are looking at a 40ft + sized catamaran then twin 9.9hp is not enough power. The minimum sensible is twin 15hp, maybe Big Foot Mercury? Or one central 25hp may be OK depending on the type of hull and how well it manouvers. I have had single 9.9hp outboards on a number of my own 35ft catamarans. They are marginal in strong winds and big seas. However I would not use anything bigger than a 25hp outboard on a 40ft cat, better to use twin engines. It isn't really practical to use the main engine on a dinghy unless it is very small. It's just too complicated to disconnect the controls and starting cables A 1.5 knot speed increase using twin 9.9 instead of one engine sounds about right Richard Woods of Woods Designs www.sailingcatamarans.com

A Guide to Power Catamaran Boats

John Sampson

If you’re into offshore fishing or water sports, the Power Catamaran or “multi-hull powerboat” offers you a great option for your first vessel. These powerboats provide you an excellent combination of performance, stability, and maneuverability.

These boats have a catamaran design, relying on two hulls to float the vessel instead of the typical deep-V hull found on other powerboat models. The multi-hull powerboat is ideal for cruising, and you can set it up for fishing or watersports as well.

With the multi-hull powerboat, you get options for multiple fishing stations over each hull without disrupting the boat’s balance on the water. They are ideal for use in lakes and estuaries, and they excel on the open ocean.

These boats come in lengths ranging from 16 to 30-feet, with plenty of customizable options and accessories. Typically, you get a stern-drive or outboard motor configuration, with center consoles for the driver and loads of storage space onboard.

These boats can carry from six to eight passengers easily, and most models will fit on trailers. This post gives you all the information you need on selecting the right multi-hull powerboat to suit your aquatic needs.

What Is a Multi-Hull Powerboat?

The multi-hull powerboat features a catamaran design, with two hulls running down the boat’s length, featuring a gap between the two. This configuration makes the boat exceptionally stable at higher speeds, allowing fast movement through choppy water inshore or offshore.

The catamaran might seem like a niche boat design. However, it offers you several advantages on the water, such as a smooth ride, stability, and economy. These boats come in a wide range of designs and lengths, with the smallest versions measuring around 12-feet, and the largest extending up to 70-feet or longer.

The longer vessels come with liveaboard facilities and all the amenities you need to spend days out on the water. We like to think of the multi-hull powerboat as the catamaran design of the cabin cruiser or cuddy cabin boat. You get all the same advantages as these models but with an added performance on the water.

Multi-Hull Powerboat

You get plenty of options for live wells, rod holders, gear storage, and integrated coolers for drinks and fish. Whether you’re planning a weekend trip or just going out for the day, the multi-hull powerboat is a great choice for your ocean-going excursion.

While the catamaran model is the most popular choice in this category, there are models featuring a tri-hull design. Typically, these vessels cater more towards fishing than performance or watersports, offering slightly less steering maneuverability than the dual hull setup. However, the addition of the third hull brings superior stability to the boat, making them ideal for fishing in choppy water or cruising from island to island on rougher seas.

The ripple hull models typically feature more liveaboard space, with some models having multiple separate living areas beneath the deck.

Benefits of Multi-Hull Powerboats

The Multi-hull powerboat offers you plenty of advantages for fishing, cruising, and watersports. Here are our top reasons for adding this boat to your shortlist of considerations.

Speed and Handling

The multi-hull boat relies on two separate hulls contacting the water. As a result, there is less drag from the hull when cutting through the water. You get faster speeds than you do with a mono-hull design and excellent handling with tight turning circles. These boats do well on open water, allowing for superior stability in rough waters when fishing offshore.

Dynamic Cruising

The multi-hull powerboat features dynamic cruising capability. These boats are most popular with recreational users that want to cruise down the coastline on the weekend or take a few days out on the water for a fishing trip. The built-in accommodations in many designs make it suitable for staying out on the water overnight.

Stability and Performance

Multi-hull powerboats can come with several engine configurations. The motors on these boats offer excellent performance, propelling the watercraft up to speeds of 50 to 80-mph, depending on the model. They also make suitable watersports boats, allowing for skiing and wakeboarding.

Plenty of Storage

The multi-hull boat offers you more storage capability than mono-hull models. You get loads of storage room above and below deck for your dive gear or fishing equipment. There is under-seat storage, and the v-berths in the bow of these models can include plenty of amenities.

Cabin of the Calcutta 480 Catamaran

Center Console Design

The center console driver configuration is common with the multi-hull performance boat. This driver position gives you more control over the vessel when turning. Some consoles may position closer to the bow or aft of the boat, depending on the length and design features of the boat.

Hardtop Designs

Most multi-hull powerboats come equipped for long ocean-going trips. As a result, they may have a covered driver cockpit leading to below deck accommodations or storage facilities. Some models have wraparound cockpits with doors sealing the cabin, allowing for air conditioning inside the boat on hot days. Other models come with an open plan design and a hard roof.

Trailerable

Most models of multi-hull power bats range from 16 to 24-feet, but there are plenty of longer models. The shorter lengths are easy to trailer, allowing for easy removal for the water and transportation. However, some models may be wider than 10-feet, requiring a special license to operate the loaded trailer. Check with your local authorities for trailer regulations and laws.

Fishing and Watersports Capability

These boats are excellent fishing vessels, offering you plenty of stability for casting on any side of the boat. The center console design means you have walkways on either side of the console, allowing the angler to chase the fish around the boat if it decides to drag the line. Most models also feature setups for watersports like wakeboarding, with T-tower bars or Bimini tops for higher tow points.

Outboard or Stern Motors

The multi-hull powerboat comes with a design for performance out on the water. As a result, these boats usually feature outboard motors with capacities ranging from 150-HP to 450-HP. Some models may use dual-motor setups or stern-mounted motors that hide out of sight.

Multiple Sizing Options

As mentioned, the multi-hull boat comes in a variety of lengths to suit your requirements. Whether you need a large boat for spending days out on the water or a simple day fishing vessel, there’s a multi-hull design to suit your requirements.

Disadvantages of Multi-Hull Powerboats

While the multi-hull powerboat is a flexible design suited for cruising, fishing, or water sports, it does come with a few drawbacks.

Large Engines and More Fuel

These boats feature design and construction for speed, with large outboard motors. As a result, they are somewhat heavy on fuel, especially with a large-capacity dual-motor setup.

Top Multi-Hull Powerboat Models

You have plenty of choices when selecting your multi-hull powerboat. Here are some of our top picks for the best models available.

Calcutta 480

This multi-hull powerboat has a 51-foot length, and it’s ideal for offshore use, providing exceptional stability thanks to the size and the 17-foot beam. It’s one of the largest models available, featuring world-class multi-hull design.

You get a spacious deck with a center console configuration and enough room to walk down either side of the boat when fishing. The dual hull provides exceptional stability combined with the long length, and you get options for diesel-powered or gasoline engines in outboard or in-stern setup to suit your requirements.

Calcutta 480

The Calcutta brand custom-builds boats for its clients. You get options for fully enclosed bow areas and fishing-style cabins with a roomy helm deck and a sleeping berth included in the bow. You also have an enclosed head for ablutions, but there is no option for a shower.

This model comes with an enclosed cockpit and air conditioning to keep you cool when cruising. The motors on this boat are monsters, featuring a twin setup of 550-HP Cummins diesel inboards available on the sports version for superior power and speed on the water while maintaining the boat’s maneuverability.

There’s a 600-gallon fuel capacity for the thirsty engines, allowing you to spend days out on the water without running out of fuel.

Insetta 35 IFC Hydrofoil

The Insetta 35 IFC hydrofoil offers you the smooth-sailing benefit of hydrofoils, with premium multi-hull designs. The hydrofoil system generates the lift under the hull, allowing for superior, stable sailing in rough water conditions.

The hydrofoil reduces friction and dragging on the hulls, reducing your fuel consumption by as much as 40% compared to other models with a similar dual hull design. The foil fits between the sponsons, featuring design and construction with stainless steel.

Another interesting design feature with this model is the way the inboard motors have positioning towards each other. This configuration allows for maximum thrust for the propellors on the asymmetrical multi-hull.

Insetta 35 IFC Hydrofoil

The foil and motor setup design also allow for much tighter turns than you get with other multi-hull models, giving you similar performance to what you expect in a mono-hull design.

The boat comes with a large coffin box with 156-gallons of space available and an insulated finish. You get eight rod-holders positioned in the bow and aft of the boat. You also get dual 30-gallon transom live wells and an option for a third below the mezzanine seat.

The Insetta 35 IFC hydrofoil comes with a three-pump sea chest, a folding bait station, and plenty of tackle storage. The boat gets its power and performance from dual Mercury 400 Verados, with the vessel topping out at speeds of 58-mph on open, calm waters.

Invincible 46 Cat

This model is the largest in the Invincible range, and it’s a great choice for offshore fishing. This flagship model comes with a 42-foot length and a center console design for easy driver operation. This multi-hull powerboat relies on a hybrid semi-asymmetrical multi-hull giving it great turning capability and maneuverability out on the open water.

Invincible 46 Cat

The Invincible 46 Cat features a stepped hull with fast acceleration and plenty of lift. You get a quad engine setup with Mercury 450 Racing outboard motors, and the craft can reach a top-end speed of 78-mph. Other notable features of this boat include a vacuum-infused hull and grid-stringer system for an “invincible” boat that’s virtually unsinkable.

Bali Catspace

If you’re looking for a luxury powercat model, the Bali Catspace Motoryacht is a fantastic – but expensive choice. This model features a design from legendary boat maker Olivier Poncin. This model is a natural cruiser and ideal for the longest ocean-going trips.

The dual hull and high ride height from the water provide exceptional stability for the boat, even in the roughest offshore and coastal waters. The boat comes with a lounge on the deck, and there’s plenty of room around the center console cabin to walk the length of the boat on either side of the vessel. The top level of the boat features the captain’s station and wheelhouse, with luxury living quarters underneath.

Bali Catspace

You get a huge lounge and a v-berth with sleeping quarters for spending the night out on the water. The cockpit presents the captain with a 360-degree view of the water, and the high riding position gives you a view of the ocean that extends for miles.

The boat comes with all the amenities you need, including tables, a full kitchenette, and luxury sleeping accommodations. There are plenty of entertainment options for TVs and stereo systems down below, with an optional hardtop Bimini.

The Bali Catspace Motoryacht receives its power from a single or dual engine setup featuring 150-HP or 250-HP Yamaha motors.

Wrapping Up

With so much variety available in multi-hull powerboats, you have options for any activity out on the water. These boats are more common in coastal waters, and they make excellent fishing vessels.

Decide on the model that suits your activity, as most have a purpose-built design for fishing, watersports, or cruising. There are plenty of customization options, so make sure you keep a budget in mind as the additions can cost more than 20% of the boat’s initial sticker price, increasing your costs.
