gulet marmaris

Imagine waking up to the sound of waves lapping against the hull, enjoying breakfast on the deck as the sun rises over the horizon, and spending lazy afternoons lounging in the shade or swimming in the warm waters of the Mediterranean. gulet marmaris

Summary of all, we can say that a Marmaris gulet charter offers a unique opportunity to experience Turkey’s stunning coastline in a way that is comfortable, luxurious, and customizable to your preferences. With careful planning and attention to detail, your gulet charter can be the trip of a lifetime.

How to Book Marmaris Gulet Charter?

Booking a gulet charter in Marmaris can be a fun and exciting experience, but it can also be overwhelming if you don’t know where to start. Here are some steps to help you book your dream Marmaris gulet charter:

  • Determine your budget: The first step in booking a Marmaris gulet charter is to determine your budget. Gulet charters can vary greatly in price, depending on the size of the gulet, the length of the trip, and the level of luxury you are looking for.
  • Choose your travel dates: Once you have determined your budget, the next step is to choose your travel dates. Keep in mind that high season in Marmaris is from June to September, so if you are looking to travel during this time, you will want to book your charter well in advance.
  • Decide on your itinerary: Marmaris is located in a prime location for exploring the beautiful coastline of Turkey. Take some time to research the different routes and destinations available to you, and decide on the itinerary that best suits your interests.
  • Select your gulet: With your budget, travel dates, and itinerary in mind, it’s time to start browsing the available gulets for charter. Be sure to consider the size of the gulet, the number of cabins, and the level of luxury when making your selection.
  • Contact a reputable charter broker: When booking a Marmaris gulet charter, it’s important to work with a reputable charter broker who can help you navigate the process and ensure that you are getting the best possible deal. They can also help you with any questions you may have about the charter, as well as provide information about additional services such as transfers, provisioning, and activities.
  • Make your reservation: Once you have chosen your gulet and itinerary, and have worked with your charter broker to finalize the details, it’s time to make your reservation. Be sure to read and understand the terms and conditions of your charter agreement before signing.
  • Prepare for your trip: With your Marmaris gulet charter booked, it’s time to start preparing for your trip. Be sure to pack appropriate clothing and gear for your planned activities, and make arrangements for any additional services you may need during your trip.

Booking a Marmaris gulet charter can be an exciting and rewarding experience. With a little research and preparation, you can find the perfect gulet for your needs, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Planning Your Route

While planning the route, you also need to define the departure and arrival ports. And after all itinerary done, you may give your daily sailing plans to your skipper and enjoy your tour. The blue voyage routes from Bodrum on the north-west to Marmaris and Antalya on the south-east are heavenly coasts. When planning your gulet charter route, there are a few things to consider:

1. Destinations

Choose the destinations you would like to visit during your trip. Do you want to visit secluded bays, bustling towns, or historic sites? Discuss your preferences with your gulet charter broker, who can help you plan an itinerary that meets your needs. It allows you to customize your trip based on your preferences and interests, ensuring that you have the perfect vacation.

2. Distance

Consider the distance between each destination. You don’t want to spend too much time traveling between places, as this can cut into your time for sightseeing and relaxing. Your broker can help you choose an itinerary that allows for comfortable sailing distances.

3. Time of Year

Consider the time of year you are traveling. The weather and sea conditions can vary greatly depending on the season. Discuss the best time of year for your preferred destinations with your broker.

4. Activities

Consider the activities you would like to do during your trip. Do you want to swim, snorkel, or scuba dive? Or perhaps you want to visit cultural sites or go hiking. Make sure to include activities that interest you in your itinerary.

Marmaris is a coastal town, a port city and a tourist destination on the Southwest Mediterranean coast of Turkey, in the Muğla Province.

Marmaris

Marmaris is a town in Turkey, at the point where the Mediterranean Sea intersects with the Aegean Sea parks variety in small space. From historical monuments of the bygone eras to the shopping centers, tourist’s sea activities and rich Byzantine, Persian, Roman and Ottoman architecture, these towns are worth checking out. It’s also home to one of the most visited castles in Turkey, Marmaris Castle. It is the city’s oldest landmarks. It’s a popular stopping point for those on rural tourism around Turkey. It’s among the few castles in Turkey that boast of an in-house museum.

Its surroundings, long coastline, outstanding landscape of pine-covered hills, isolated bays and inlets, wonderful beaches, ancient cities, marinas and every kind of attractions; Marmaris welcomes more than 400,000 people during the summer season.

Despite the development which reaches around 10 km along the West of the bay, Marmaris is also well-known for its expanse of green, present the whole year round thanks to the pine-covered hills which surround the town. There are many beaches around the bay, and there are ancient cities and seaside villages close by for day trips.

The yacht harbour is the biggest and newest in Turkey, and therefore the busiest charter port especially for trips along the Turquoise Coast. In addition to the climate, beaches and facilities of the town, the transportation infrastructure is a definite plus for attracting visitors. It has easy connections to the nearby airport, ferries to Rhodes, and on the road to Datca and Fethiye.

Gulet Charter In Greece, Italy and Turkey

Marmaris destination guide.

marmaris town

Marmaris is the second biggest harbour for gulets after Bodrum. Offers shopping and nightlife along the coast from the stylish marina to Icmeler, the smaller resort close by. On the other hand, also provides culture, scenic streets and sympathetic villages, which lead to ancient ruins and perfect beaches.

Marmaris is smaller compared to Bodrum . The whole old town is set on a small hill with a Castle, so it is full of stairs, little white houses and shady corners. The sea washes it from two edges;  on one side there is cruise ship harbour and on the other one port for yachts. The best atmosphere is here, of course, in the evening.

The Marina of Marmaris is one of the most important places where to start a gulet cruise vacation. All gulet journey enthusiasts will sooner or later board a cruise from here. From Marmaris, you can sail along the beautiful Turkish coast; like Hisaronu bay or Fethiye and Gocek area. Or you can decide to visit South Dodecanese with the island of Rhodes.

The town has two faces it is up to you to find the one suits you better . Either it comes at you as mass tourism place with packed crowds, squashed into narrow streets bargaining, sipping drinks and dance till dawn. Or there is also a quieter Marmaris in the back lanes between whitewashed houses overloaded with Bougainvillea.

The town centre is located 80 from Dalaman airport and about 130km from Milas -Bodrum airport. The Greek island of  Rhodes is reachable by daily catamarans across less than 1.30-hour navigation.

Marmaris by night

Boarding a gulet in Marmaris

Marmaris harbour is a base port for many beautiful gulets. All gulets enter the port Friday afternoon and almost all leave for next cruise Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. The weekend is extremely busy for gulet staff and us. Gulets are lined along Marmaris seaside promenade from the entrance to the bazaar at Anatolia Caffe till Private Marina.

If you book a cabin charter, you will most probably spend the first and last night in Marmaris. So, you will have plenty of time to visit the town, its markets, maybe try a hammam and enjoy some nightlife.

When chartering a whole gulet for your group, you will probably prefer to start your cruise immediately and maybe to spend the last night at the port. If you want to leave the port the same day make sure your arrival time is before sunset. If you decide to cruise Greek islands, your arrival has to be even earlier as the custom close after 5pm.

Gulet Charter from Marmaris

Marmaris is one of the most convenient locations to start your gulet cruising in Turkey. Southwest region of Turkey is the most popular geographic region for Gulet cruising and Marmaris lies right in the middle of this region. That’ s why you will have more fulfilling options of itineraries to chose from.

Quality gulets are available in every resort. Also the gulet that you have booked will probably will be in another port disembarking previous guests. Any gulet will come to you whichever embarkation town you have chosen. So that means you are not bound to a certain harbor because the gulet is usually parked there. That gives you flexibility to chose any embarkation port.

Most cruisers embark from Marmaris area. Marmaris has a few different bays where you can embark. Most famous ones are Marmaris itself, Orhaniye, Hisaronu and a few more.

A lot of Gulet Travel Companies are based in Marmaris also. Most chain travel agencies has branch offices here as well. We recommend you chose Marmaris as your preferred embarkation port.

At your first day of arrival, you will have a free afternoon and evening before taking off. Because you will have time, you can explore Marmaris shopping, nightlife and restaurants. It is a pleasure to sit at the back of the gulet and just relax with a refreshing drink. The bar street of Marmaris is also located just around the corner of the marina also.

Even though Gulet Cruises in Marmaris are sold in weekly terms, WE CAN LET YOU HAVE A TASTE OF IT FOR A DAY OR TWO with your group of friends.

Gulets might be new to you and you are not ready to go on a week or two weeks blue-cruise yet. Because Gulet cruise requires planning. You need to get together a group of people to make it worthwhile. BUT you want to experience what it is like while you are here in Marmaris.

WE CAN ARRANGE a day or two cruise for you. Maybe you want to go with your significant other as a couple, or you have other friends in Marmaris and you all want to do it and get a taste of it. No Problem. JUST CONTACT US and let us know how many people and when. We will get to work.

During high summer season it is hard to find gulets because they are all fully booked. So we will need at least 2-3 days advance notice.

What Are The Categories Available for Gulet Sailing?

' src=

Blue Marmaris

When you are in Marmaris, do not forget to enjoy sailing tours in cool and turquoise water. Your investments will yield result when you decide to take tours on a gulet. It is a traditional wooden boat fitted with two or three sails. When I visited Marmaris along with my family last summer, I was lost in thoughts, as the gulet sped through blue waters. I booked an economy suite for my family, where we experienced the comfort with all modern amenities including a shower bath. Based on your budget, you can opt for standard, luxury or exclusive gulet. If you want to enjoy sailing in air conditioned cabin, then the standard type is the best choice.

In case of luxury category, in addition to air conditioned cabins, you can avail comfortable saloon treatment and pamper your taste buds with delicious cuisines. For those passionate about sun bath, go for exclusive type.

I was in Marmaris for my friend’s wedding and I had not much time to go for sightseeing. I have heard a lot of stories about the place, especially about the water recreation and the ancient relics, but wondering whether I should go for it. A friend suggested me to explore Marmaris over a cruise on a gulet charter Marmaris. Initially, I was reluctant but I changed my mind and booked the cruise. After the journey took off, I realized that I could have missed a huge opportunity to avail such wonderful experience. The best thing was the affordability, as everything including food was within the budget. We spent one day on gulet charter Marmaris cruise, since we booked for just one day, but after a couple of days we took the ride again.

I never had the experience of riding on a gulet cruise, but when I visited Marmaris, I fulfilled my long-awaited dream and it was a wonderful life time experience for me. A local tour guide once approached me and requested me to board on gulet charter Mamaris trip and he was talking about some discount on advance booking. However, I simply turned down his offer since I was new in the region. After a couple of days, one of my friends told me about the pleasurable experience of gulet ride. I immediately requested the resort manager to book a ticket since I had not much time for it. I embarked on the gulet at morning and started to sail in the deep of the sea. I was overwhelmed by the experience and want to avail the service of gulet charter Marmaris every time, whenever I will visit the place.

' src=

That was my first visit in Marmaris, as I have heard a lot of stories about this place from my friends who have visited the place several times. The area is excellent if you are here to make yourself relaxed. While walking through the beach I noticed many boats and gulets floating on the clear water of the sea. I asked the resort manager, how I can book ticket for gulet charter Marmaris ride and he helped me by calling up a gulet service provider. It was my two-day journey on Marmaris water, but the experience I got from the cruise was unforgettable. They provided world-class accommodation with excellent food service that made the ride more pleasurable and I will never forget the experience I got from gulet charter Marmaris in my life time.

Cruising on the Marmaris seawater was not in my tour plan, as visited the region for some personal reasons. However, one of my colleagues once suggested me to experience gullet cruise ride, if I can manage some leisure time from my busy schedule. A local coffee shop owner helped me to contact one of the of the most efficient gulet charter Marmaris service providers. Just to avail the experience I booked my ticket for just one day, but it was really a wonderful cruise ride with high-class accommodation. Believe me or not; I booked my ticked for another day and thoroughly enjoyed my trip in this region of Turkey. I thanked them a lot for giving me the opportunity to avail a wonderful sea ride through gulet charter Marmaris.

' src=

Paula Campbell

That was my second visit in the region, and this time did not want to miss the opportunity to float around the Marmaris by a cruise. My family was too curious about the joyful cruise riding on a gullet charter Marmaris. However, after our arrival, several travelling agents (most probably working for some cruise service providers) had approached us. But I decided to go with my local friends’ advice, which I got during my last tour in this region of Turkey. They suggested me to opt for these guys, as they are one of the most reputed and cost effective sea cruise service providers in the region. It was a wonderful experience with their gulet charter Marmaris for me and my family; thanks to my local friends who helped me to connect with the agency. Floating on the water of Maramis for two days was just like one of the most pleasurable moments I have ever experienced in my life.

Marmaris – Fethiye – Marmaris Cruising route

Marmaris – Fethiye – Marmaris Cruising route

7 nights marmaris yacht charter itinerary.

Marmaris

Marmaris is one of the rare towns in Turkey where you can swim right in the city centre, despite the increased construction, as enviromental and water treatment facilites have been installed. For those who seek cleaner seas and quieter spots there are many gulet trips that go to other bays. Stroll and explore the bustling Marmaris bazaar, getting the feeling of being in Asia Minor. Marmaris in recent years has spread out with new hotels and apartments but the old centre still retains its village atmosphere. Marmaris has a great choice of shops and restaurants many with an international flavour. The most important historic building in the town centre is the castle. The first castle built on this site was constructed up by the Ionians, with the present castle you see being built by the Ottomans in 1522. After the Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent conquered the city in 1522, many buildings were built which are still visitabl today. Apart from its clean sea and shopping, Marmaris is also famous for its nightlife. Marmaris is accessible by international travellers via Dalaman International Airport (DLM) – Marmaris being 90 minutes and Bodrum Milas International Airport (BJV) – Marmaris being two and half hours.

Ekincik

One of the main stopping points for the gulets that cruise along bays between Marmaris and Gocek is Ekincik Cove. First you will see through the beautiful village of Ekincik, surrounded by gree. And than you get into the cove itself, which is extremely clean and has not been suffocated by heavy building. You are surrounded by forests while in front of you there is the beach and the sea. The beach is very beautiful and the water very clean. On its western part, among the popular stopping or overnighting coves there are Semizce, Kargi and Karacay. There are two anchoring points in the port of Ekincik. One of them is Köy Önü (In front of the village) In the area where the road meets the beach there is a quay where yachts can moor.

Dalyan / Kaunos / Iztuzu

The cute little holiday destination known as Dalyan is located on the shores of the fjord like natural channel, called Calbis in ancient times, which links Lake Köycegiz to the sea. With the start of tourism development in recent years and threat of the danger to the environment led to the area being declared by the state as a special protection district in 1998. This measure helped to protect the region from over development. The village of Dalyan, without a change in its natural beauty for many years, is today still very far from the threat of excessive development. Boats are all lined up along the channel in Dalyan. These channel are no more than places to cruise around and see as far as they are concerned. The boats are used as a private or shared boats for rent to enable tourista to the see the Iztuzu coast, the ancient city of Kaunos, the rock tombs and the sites of mud baths.

The ancient city of Kaunos / Optional Tour

From the wharf near the ruins reachable from Dalyan by boat it is just a 10 minutes walk to the ruins of the ancient city of Kaunos. Those coming by yachts can drop anchor around Delikli Ada and go ashore by small boat. Kaunos was a significant trading port, through it lost its strategic importance as the alluvial sands filled the harbour. According to the father of history, Heredots, the people of Kaunos were natives of Caria who considered themselves to be Cretans. The rock tombs that can be seen from as far as Dalyan were built in 4 BC and were also used during the Roman period later. In Lycian type tombs the dead were placed on rock beds.

The coast of Iztuzu became World famous thanks to the Caretta Caretta turtles. On one side of the coast are the Iztuzu beach facilities and on the other side are the Dalyanagzi day-outing beach facilities. This beautiful coast goes on four kilometres on end. There are suitable places high enough to take photographs as one gets closer to the beach. This panorama includes all of the delta and the coast. Iztuzu, quite apart from the Caretta Caretta turtles, is simply a wonderful gift of nature. And they come to the beach on here coast to lay their eggs. Their lenght is about 1-1.5 metres and they weigh as much as 150 kg. There is magnificent scenery of in a type seen in labyrinths, with the 5.4 kilometre along coast going round and round the marshes. On the coast around Dalyan during all seasons the turtles ranging up to one metre in lenght can be seen.

Aga Port & Kocabuk

When you get towards the Gocek Gulf, the most popular destinations are AGA PORT and KOCABUK. The Aga Port consists of one small and one large harbour. Both end in a beach area. Those who follow the path upwards from Buyuk (Large) Aga port can get to Roman and Byzantine ruins in the Koyici region. Another leads you up the hill to the west and to the point of the Kapidag Peninsula that has a lake on the park. There are three or five houses around the lake, and a terrific view from above. After Aga Port you get to Kocabuk, Gobun Island and then to the Gulf of Gocek. The coves and the islands in the gulf have been declared a Special Environment Protected Region since 1988.

Fethiye

If all places and all seas were known by a colour, Fethiye’s colour would be turquoise. The word turquoise, a blue that has more than a hint of green, comes from the blue used in the Turkish tile work. The most beautiful shade of the colour blue came and settled on the sea. Once you visit the town’s pleasant baazar you feel as if everything has been planned and preserved for you, with its narrow and shady streets and tiny squares. You will forget about being a foreigner and feel as if you have lived here for years. In the ancient times on the site of modern Fethiye used to stand the city of Telmessos. The city was one of the most important of the Lycian region, being on the western border of Lycia. Fethiye offers you; history, culture, nature, beaches, aqua sports, the best paraglading in Turkey, the most impressive historical sites, best bays, cuisine and shopping.

Knight Island & Kizilada

?övalye Adas? (Knight Island) is in the mouth of the Gulf of Fethiye, sited as if protecting the gulf itself. On the island, where the Knights of St John were once based, there are still some settlements, with summerhouses, motels and cafes. It is a stopping point on the return of the trip from the 12 Islands.

Kizilada (Red Island) was so named as the sand and gravel on the beach take on a reddish hue at sunset. On the island there is no building other than a lighthouse. Since its east side is closed to waves it is suitable for anchoring and swimming.

Tersane Island

On your trip you come across a monitoring tower and a shipyard, a tersane in Turkish, after which the island is named. Tersane Island (Shipyard Island) is the largest island in the Gulf of Gocek and Tersane cove is the largerst on the gulf. After the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1922, the area was mainly inhabited by Greeks. In the flat lands behind the cove are the ruins of a few houses and a church. With a walk of ten minutes you can get to another cove. Sailors call the two coves “summer” and “winter”, both of which are popular stopping points for daily boat tours and the Blue Cruise.

Domuz Island

It is believed that it has taken its name from the wild boars living on that island once upon a time. The island is also called Prince Island referring to a prince living on here. The island is covered with pine and olive trees. There is a shallow area of 30 to 40 metres in diameter in the middle of the cove where there are ruins from the Lycian and Roman ages. The highest of the ruins are a meter below the surfaceof the water. It is very pleasant to swim over the ruins, especially when wearing the googles. Yachts can easily anchor and moor in the cove of the island as it is sheltered from the winds.

Sarigerme

Sar?germe, with its close proximity to Dalaman and with more modern accommodation facilities being built, has found itself as a centre of tourism in a region fast becoming internationally popular. The interaction of pine trees and the coast of Sarigerme, with its fine sand againist the backdrop of beautiful pine trees, has continued for centuries. Visiting boats anchor in the rocky small cove on the North east of Baba Island. The sea is clean and shiny. A cave close to the northern end of the island crosses the island from one side to the other. On the top of the hill there is the ruin of a tower. The flat Dalaman Plateau begins to increase in height as you get to the Kapidag Peninsula, reaching an altitude of 500 meters before Kurtoglu Point. After this area, the Gulf of Fethiye calm waters begin. The 13,5 kilometres opening between Kurtoglu and ?blis (Dökükba??) is the mouth of the gulf. This gulf has the most popular coves and islands for the Blue Cruise boats.

Turunc (Citrus)

Among the coves after you leave Marmaris are beaches of Turunc and Kumlubuk. In Turunc bay, you will see a beautiful painted sea with a special tone of blue. There are all shades of blue in the water: indigo blue, glass blue, and the blue of the sky reflected on the water and others. Turunc is hemmed it by a high covered in pines trees that bring a coolness to the seaside. Although it is always sunny it is not that hot. And of course pomegranate, mulbery, plums and citrus trees abound, through being called Turunc (Citrus) you would expect more citrus trees, throug to make up for this there are geraniums, oleanders and begonias everywhere. Turunc is one of the indispensable stops on the Blue Cruise.

Why Prefer Marmaris for a Luxury Gulet Charter?

Marmaris is one of the most significant blue cruise destinations in Turkey. Marmaris is a port city on the southwest coast of Turkey, at the intersection of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, in the province of Muğla. Marmaris, one of Turkey’s most important tourism centers in terms of tourism, is the largest holiday destination on the Aegean coast.

The concept of chartering sailing yachts in Marmaris has become very popular among tourists from different countries of the world. Delikli Ada is located off the southeast coast of Ekincik. The Dalyan Delta, which has a long, golden-colored beach, is a shelter for nature conservation areas and sea turtles (Caretta caretta), and blue crabs. At the end of the river, on the slope of the old port city of Kaunos, tombs were carved into the rock.   Selimiye, Bozburun, Orhaniye, Gokova, Turunc, Kumlubuk are very close to Marmaris. We recommend you to visit these coves during your Marmaris holiday.

gulet marmaris

Although Marmaris is an ancient city, the most important work that can be seen today is Marmaris Castle, which was built in 1577. There is also a mosque from the Ottoman Empire and an arched caravanserai with eight rooms.

Also, Marmaris  is a port city that has hosted many civilizations throughout its history. Each port has been used as a trade center throughout the city’s history and has therefore been instrumental in the development of the civilizations it hosts.

In addition, Marmaris is one of the most suitable places to taste delicious Turkish food.

There are many places to discover around Marmaris. It is one of the rare places that will fascinate you with its history and nature.  A holiday in Marmaris will be a therapy with its natural beauties as well as its historical structure.

Bodrum, a city steeped in ancient history is also one of Turkeys leading tourist attractions. Scholars of history will know it as Halicarnassus, home to the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The modern term “mausoleum” comes from his name. Unfortunately, we cannot see this site anymore since the Knights Hospitalier used the mausoleums stones to build another impressive structure, the imposing Bodrum Castle. This 15th century edifice sits on the waters edge and was the founding point of the city of Petronium, which is today Bodrum. The castle contains Bodrum’s underwater museum of archeology.

Akvaryum Bay is a pristine cove with long sandy beaches and aquamarine waters. This amazing bay located between Bitez and Gumbet provides an amazing respite during your Blue Cruise voyage. At the extreme southwest of Turkey, along the Datca peninsula, sits the small archeological town of Knidos. This is one of Turkeys finest historical legends preserved in amazing condition. You find the Statue of Demeter in one location, and in the ancient harbor there were two Lions that stand guard but are now in the British Museum in London. The main attractions are the temple of Aphrodite and the Necropolis. Excavations are ongoing, and have been unearthing more and more amazing finds for over half a century. Since Knidos is considered to be remote, the best way to reach it is by yacht. This is a must stop for all yacht charters, and one site that will provide a lot of great memoires as well as photos.

gulet marmaris

At the tip of the southern coast of the Datca Peninsula of Turkey nestles the lovely town of Palamutbuku. This amazing quiet town, close to the historic ruins of Knidos, is home to some of the most desired long and quiet beaches, green streets, and walled gardens. Like a fairytale town come to life, as you walk along the seaside and look down into some of the clearest waters in the Aegean. In fact, you can walk well into the sea, and be able to see every stone and fish around your feet even when the waters reach head high. The sea is full of fish and many a dinner is caught just moments before it is on your plate, served alongside exceptionally tasty local produce. What is still wonderful is that this coast is still virgin from all the expected tourism, and the town hosts many wonderful taverns and restaurants, as well as the amazing residents that make your stay even more memorable.

gulet marmaris

One of the popular coastal stops is Datca, a small southern shore yachting stop over 75kms west of Marmaris. The coast is dotted with small fishing villages and farming towns, and the local tomatoes and olives are famous for their depth of taste.  While visiting Datca, enjoy some local produce and maybe even ask your chef to use it as a staple ingredient.

In the Gulf of Hisaronu lies the village of Selimiye. What can be added to the already pantheon of words praising this amazing location. One of the most prominent and distinctive natural phenomena occurs during sunset, when the villages color changes into a deep red. There is an ancient Hellenistic castle south of the village and there is a tomb situated around 100 meters off shore. The tomb has been a guide for shipping for centuries. Selimiye offers a lighthouse, theater and monastery as well as its pristine waters and amazing local cuisine. The village is a farming town as well, and the local produce is collected and served alongside the freshly caught seafood. All prepared and provided alongside a great local wine.

This mazing town has grand views over all the Aegean and that is why it was chosen as a standing ground for fleets. Today it is a standing ground for Yachts seeking a wonderful place for their passengers to visit. The many ancient sites and modern amenities make the town of Bozukkale a perfect visiting point along your sea voyage.

The area is steeped in ancient history and many of the local finds are now housed in Bodrum’s underwater archelogy museum. Just sailing into Serce is an experience worth waiting for, and along the way, many amazing and memorable views are provided. Nearby Serce are the ancient towns of Kirkkuylar and Sidilli, in which you will find over 40 cisterns that provided fresh water to the inhabitants of this area.
