NO STRESS: The first hybrid and AI equipped superyacht launched by Rossinavi

The 50m (163ft) superyacht NO STRESS has been launched by Italian shipyard Rossinavi at their Viareggio shipyard in Italy , becoming the first yacht to be equipped with AI and feature a hybrid propulsion system. 

Described by the shipyard as a "hybrid soul in a dynamic design", superyacht NO STRESS boasts a sleek and sophisticated exterior with a fast-displacement hull form, taking inspiration from the automotive world. 

The 498GT sporty vessel has a dual power system with both MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines and two electric motors powered by both the generators and the battery pack. When the superyacht is in electric mode, the system is managed by an AI that monitors its consumption. She can cruise in five different operating modes to maximize energy whether at anchor or underway.

NO STRESS is a hybrid vessel characterised by a strong sporty attitude.

Key features of her design include her slender silhouette and dynamic sleek lines that are particularly captivating and also ensure the yacht is well-balanced, elegant and fast. 

The yacht’s interior, which has not yet been revealed, has been described by the shipyard as minimal with a key focus on accurate architectural details. The owner’s brief was to achieve spacious interior spaces that would organically blend in with the outdoor areas and connect with the surrounding environment. This has been achieved thanks to the openings on both the hull and superstructure, as well as the continuous floor-to-ceiling glass windows which allow plenty of natural light and beautiful panoramic views.

She represents the shipyard's ninth partnership with Enrico Gobbi - Team for Design and shares a similar sporty character as seen on previous Rossinavi vessels such as the 50m (163ft) motor yacht ENDEAVOUR 2  and the 63m (206ft) superyacht UTOPIA IV .

The yacht has a sleek, modern, and almost futuristic look. It’s what the lead designer Enrico Gobbi calls an “automotive aesthetic,” with a silver hue and long black window that runs nearly three quarters of the hull length amidships.

The superstructure and upper deck notable by their curves, with a swept-back radar arch and large radomes on the top. On the front of the yacht is a large Jacuzzi. “The owner chose dynamic lines for this sporty superyacht,” says Gobbi, who oversaw the project with his Team For Design. “I wanted the boat to be in motion even when it is at anchor, combining long curves always in tension, and streamlined bridges that recall the wings of a jet.”

The transom also retains the sleek look at speed but folds down into a beach club. The area, with its nearly 30-foot-wide beam, is defined by open space as well as stairs that head up to the main deck. The interior is described as “minimalist” and built with “quality materials” but is short on details or images, so must be left to the imagination.

The fast-displacement hull is designed around the hybrid system, with two electric motors and diesel propulsion, though Rossinavi declined to specify the sizes.

Its five modes range from full diesel for speed to full electric for cruising in relative silence. There is also one to power the yacht’s hotel mode.

“This is only the beginning, as this technology will be optimized next year, revealing its fullest expression with the launch of the Sea Cat,” Rossi says. The 141-foot catamaran should be able to cruise on electric-only mode for an entire day, he explains. Plus, the initial renderings very cool and sleek compared to most of the superyacht catamarans on the water. With the hybrid system, it should be the cat’s meow for the Italian builder.

Rossinavi’s NO STRESS TWO has been delivered, a 50m hybrid vessel with Enrico Gobbi overseeing her design. This marks an exciting development within the industry regarding hybrid vessels, as she is equipped with Artificial Intelligence.

Rossinavi's NO STRESS TWO is a 50m hybrid yacht that was launched in April 2023. She features Artificial Intelligence integration, which manages electric mode efficiency, has a fast displacement aluminium hull, dual power systems, and five operation modes. Enrico Gobbi from Team for Design oversaw this intelligent, and equally stunning, design.

The innovative hybrid propulsion system is not the only unique feature of this yacht; a careful study of space has been employed, an example being the bow area having a comfortable walking space surrounding the 10 sqm pool. The open Beach Club is a notable highlight of this vessel, the owner requesting a DJ station with a screen overlooking the area on the aft cockpit, making NO STRESS TWO a luxurious disco on the sea. 

The interiors are elegant, with refined details and alignments combined with the use of natural and prestigious materials. Enrico Gobbi has commented on the interior design: ‘The study of the hull openings and the superstructure was fundamental, to have a yacht with sporty lines without compromises, giving the interiors the maximum landscape view.’

Rossinavi enters a new era with the delivery of its first hybrid motoryacht….

Designed by the renowned Italian studio, Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design , No Stress Two  marks a new era for Rossinavi . With a fast-displacement aluminium hull, the yacht comes equipped with dual power systems: diesel engines and electric motors, featuring five distinct operational modes. An advanced AI system is incorporated to maximize the efficiency of the electric mode.

“ No Stress Two isn't just a hybrid vessel; it's a testament to sporty elegance. Combining high performance with dual fuel capabilities – diesel and battery – the onboard Artificial Intelligence ensures that passengers can savour the electric experience to its fullest. With specifications that keep it below 500 GT, the yacht spans 50m in length and has a beam of 8.95m. The forward section also boasts a walking space encircling a significant bow pool, covering approximately 10 sq.m./107.6 sq ft.

“With its dynamic contours, this sporty superyacht is designed to look as if it’s in motion, even when anchored. The design evokes continuous tension through elongated curves and streamlined bridges, reminiscent of jet wings. It's truly a grand maritime coupé, integrating automotive details in both its exterior and interior design." elaborated Gobbi.

With a calculated top speed of 20.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots, this yacht houses 4+1 guest cabins. The impressive naval architecture, responsible for its performance and extended range capabilities, is the brainchild of the talented Italian, Giuseppe Arrabito .

Rossinavi no stress two yacht.

Boat ownership is stressful, whether it's a 15-foot bass boat or a 250-foot superyacht. Rossinavi's 164-foot No Stress Two aims to alleviate some of that stress by integrating artificial intelligence into the vessel's systems. No Stress Two is powered by a hybrid propulsion system, and AI helps control the five operational modes ranging from full diesel to full electric power. The system also keeps the batteries charged to an optimal level and can interface with the crew to recommend the lowest environmental impact settings depending on conditions. Lead designer Enrico Gobbi used what he calls an "automotive aesthetic" for the yacht's design language, with a silver and black colorway and sweeping lines that give the look of motion even while at anchor. Launched in April, the No Stress Two was delivered to its owner at the end of August.

Luxury motor yacht NO STRESS measures 49.90 m – 163 ft 71 in and was built by the Italian shipyard Rossinavi. Designed by Enrico Goppi of Team for Design and launched in 2023, this slender, sleek and sporty vessel is a hybrid motor yacht offering greater efficiency and lesser energy consumption.

EXTERIOR The fast-displacement hull design takes inspiration from the automotive world to create a slender sporty profile, matched by her performance credentials. The connection between the interior and exterior spaces is fabulous – just as the owner requested when briefing for the original build.

She is the first vessel to be launched under the shipyard's BluE initiative and is the first hybrid Rossinavi superyacht to be equipped with AI technology which monitors consumption and performance when cruising in electric mode.

NO STRESS Specifications

Her hybrid power comes from two MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines with two electric motors powered by both the generators and the battery pack. Plus, she can cruise in five different operating modes to maximise overall efficiency.

INTERIOR Details of the interior have yet to be released by the shipyard, but designer Enrico Gobbi from Team for Design has been commissioned to create a minimal design with strong architectural details.
