The ceremony included a presentation giving a closer look at 47m superyacht ARTEXPLORER – an innovative blend of superyacht and art gallery. Attendees and nominees came from the industry’s best-known designers, naval architects and shipyards with some of our favourite winners including:

  • Motor Yachts

Winner: Best motor yacht interior design 499GT and below Superyacht ACE boast interior layouts you would expect on a larger yacht thanks to some simple design tricks including mirrored window mullions, fluid free standing furniture and simplicity rather than minimalist. Her look and feel centre around a few carefully chosen materials and textures, with light oak, marble, soft leather, light coloured fabric and dark metal blended together and bathed in natural light.

Winner: Best motor yacht interior design 500GT + The interior design of superyacht ENTOURAGE is the first yacht project from the commercial space designer Burdifilek and unusual as a winner in this category as a series yacht. A showcase in the study of the yachts interior function, the design creates a tranquil and elegant space which needed to successfully host the owner art collection. The ergonomic shapes on display are both seaworthy and delicate with a blend of textures like stone, leather and glass in dusty tones of grey, blush and blue.  The atmosphere across the yacht evolves as she transforms from day to night – a feature which impressed the judges.

  • Sailing Yachts

Sailing yacht SARISSA | Royal Huisman | Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design | Liaigre (interiors)

Sailing yacht SARISSA

Sailing yacht SARISSA

The sailing yacht categories were dominated by sailing yacht SARISSA who swept the board, with wins for Outstanding Exterior Design, Best Interior Design, Best Naval Architecture and both the Innovation and Eco Award of the year. Her name means ‘long sharp spear’ in Greek, and it is easy to see this inspiration throughout the design.

Her naval architecture was judged to be the best all-round for sailing ability, range, comfort and stability. The design perfectly reflects the brief from the experienced owners who wanted a modern-looking yacht with easy water access, comfort, shade, infinite water views and a Jacuzzi. Performance, environmental impact and fun were of the utmost importance and from bow to stern, no details have been overlooked. Her multi-faceted approach to eco-friendliness includes wind-driven propulsion and hydrogenators plus innovative waste heat recovery, grey water treatment and general waste management.

The interior makes great use of the space and is a relaxed, homely environment perfect for family vacations. Custom furniture was created so as not to obscure the views, and the simple colour palette is warm and welcoming and features light oak, white lacquer and accenting leather. The thoughtful layout sees all the cabins offering a unique feel with the owner’s suite leading to a private beach club.

This year’s winners reflect a new era of innovative and imaginative yacht design where environmental impact sits front and centre with style and function. We look forward to seeing some of these award wining yachts on the charter market but in the meantime, if you have been inspired by this collection, get in contact with us now for a personalised list of charter yachts available in your chosen location.

PINK SHADOW and ENTOURAGE winners at the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards

PINK SHADOW and ENTOURAGE winners at the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards

Two of our most prominent superyacht deliveries from 2023 have been recognized for their design excellence at the 2024 BOAT Design & Innovation Awards held during the Superyacht Design Festival in Kitzbühel on January 28, 2024.

Organised by Boat International, this highly anticipated event brings together the yachting industry and recognises excellence in design and innovation within the superyacht community, decided by an independent panel of judges.

First up for a Neptune was our 58-metre SeaXplorer PINK SHADOW winning the award for Outstanding Exterior Design – Motor Yachts 40m – 59.9m. Recognition was given for her eye-catching and impressionable design which is both ‘’multifunctional and fun’’. The judges were particularly impressed with her bold and striking hull and colour scheme as well as the exceptional design of the Beach Club and versatility of the Main Deck aft.

Next called to the stage was the Amels 60 ENTOURAGE as winner of the award for Best Interior Design - Motor Yachts, 500GT and above. Burdifilek’s sophisticated and elegant design captured the eyes of the judges who noted both the functionality and transformative effect of the design. Further recognition was given to this outstanding interior within a series design superyacht. We are delighted to see ENTOURAGE follow in the footsteps of the Amels 60 COME TOGETHER who was named a winner at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards.

The hat-trick of awards was completed with a Judge’s Commendation in the Outstanding Lifestyle Feature category for the Beach Club of PINK SHADOW. Described as a true outdoor-indoor space with plenty of fun, functionality and Owner input, this was a design feature created together with Design Unlimited that left a lasting impression amongst the judging panel.

"We are honoured to receive these prestigious awards for PINK SHADOW. This recognition is a reflection of our team's passion, creativity, and commitment to excellence. PINK SHADOW embodies the pinnacle of design and innovation in the superyacht industry, and we are proud to share this achievement with our dedicated team, partners, and stakeholders. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in this remarkable achievement.” Enrique Tintore, Design Manager SeaXplorer at Damen Yachting.

The recognition received at the Design & Innovation Awards is a testament to the collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication of the entire team, from our visionary product designers and engineers to our skilled craftsmen and women who bring these extraordinary vessels to life. It is with great pride and gratitude that we accept these awards, knowing that each member of our team and the design studios we work with have played a crucial role in PINK SHADOW and ENTOURAGE’s success.

“Amels 60 ENTOURAGE is a not only a wonderful example of our Amels Limited Editions designs but also recognises the true yachting vision of her Owner. Her custom interiors beautifully translate that vision and Diego and Dragana have truly done an exceptional job. This award was very-well deserved, and we couldn’t be more proud.” Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Executive North America.

Essence Fashion Digest: Regina King Stuns In Schiaparelli, Destiny’s Child's Stylish Reunion, And More

This week in fashion was filled with moments that we want to highlight.  First up, actress Regina King exalted the red carpet with a black gown designed by Schiaparelli . The halter style dress accentuated her décolletage and arms regally. The former members of Destiny’s Child , Beyoncé , Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, reunited this week in style. Each woman wore a casual flowy dress that was fit for a relaxing  day on Beyoncé’s father Matthew Knowles yacht.

Meanwhile, rapper Tyler, the Creator, revealed to his loyal followers a behind-the-scenes look at his Louis Vuitton Spring 2024 campaign on Instagram. He’s poured his heart out on how much designing for Louis Vuitton and working with the brand has meant to him on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Next, Russell Westbrook’s brand Honor The Gift has unveiled its third drop for its Spring 2024 collection. This drop centers ‘70s aesthetics in its designs with short sleeves and tanks, just in time for the warm weather. Finally, sneaker brands JJJJbound and Adidas have joined forces on a long-awaited shoe. The classic Samba sneakers feature JJJJbound’s clean design touches over the iconic three stripes, with colors in black and white.

Regina King Stunned In Schiaparelli

The esteemed actress Regina King graced us with her red carpet premiere look for her new film Shirley . The stylist duo Micah McDonald and Wayman Deon styled king in a black halter-style dress designed by Schiaparelli. A gold strap at the neck and ruching throughout the middle gave the gown an elegant and flattering touch. The seam in the middle divided two fabrics, one that was smooth and the other textured with a long train that wrapped around her wrist with a gold chain attached. Her gold hoop earrings and gold pointed toe heels from Le Silla were the perfect finishing touch to her outfit.

Honor The Gift Releases Its Third Spring Drop

Fashion brand Honor The Gift’s Spring 2024 third drop has finally arrived. Football star and founder Russell Westbrook had the ‘70s in mind for this drop with novelty knitted shirts and dresses, track sets, and denim pieces. The collection is entitled the Heritage X Legacy collection as it is infused with tradition and Westbrook’s view of foundational heritage. He sees legacy as the imprints of those that came before him and those who brought change in community. Some pieces like the denim pants and tank tops feature embroidered patches with “Honor The Gift” printed on and “H” motifs on the chest. The collection. The collection and brand both are in honor and respect of Westbrook’s upbringing, where he comes from, and where he believes anyone can take themselves.

JJJJound and Adidas Collab On A New Sneaker

The long-awaited collaboration is finally here between the two sneaker brands JJJJound and Adidas. The Samba sneakers have grown in popularity over 2023 and seem to not be going anywhere. The collaborative Samba sneakers still have a classic look to them with the three stripes, suede toe, and leather upper. Additionally, JJJJound’s branding is placed simply over the three stripes and inner sole of the sneaker. The colorways are black and white, keeping it simple as JJJJound is known for clean designs.  Shop the JJJJound X Adidas Sambas on March 27 at jjjjound.com for $200.

Rossinavi launches full custom 50m named BEL1

Rossinavi has announced the launch of a full custom 49.9-metre superyacht named BEL1 from its facility in Pisa.

Exterior design is by Fulvio De Simoni , with the yacht's profile distinguished by two openings at the hull that allow the main saloon and owner's area to be naturally lit.

BEL1 also features a high hull and an unusual aft design that amplifies and staggers the outdoor spaces, so as to be perceived "as a single, large open area".

Additionally, the yacht's superstructure has been extended, resulting in a sundeck that measures an impressive 145 square metres – a "truly unusual size relative to the size of the boat", according to the shipyard. The deck is divided into several functional areas: the aft is intended for sunbathing, the shaded central portion houses sofas and a bar, and the bow area revolves around the "mini-pool".

Other leisure highlights include an upper deck veranda for "four seasons" dining, a mezzanine deck and an enclosed beach club with foldable sides, connected to the main deck cockpit.

Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design is responsible for the interiors, which are yet to be detailed.

"We are very satisfied and proud of this project, which, due to its originality and architectural complexity, has been quite challenging," said Fulvio de Simoni. "However, at the same time, it has allowed us to express our creativity in inventing new forms without compromising functionality and the enjoyment of life on board the ship."

The superyacht has been built entirely in aluminium and equipped with four stabiliser fins.

This follows the announcement of Rossinavi's new range of crossover superyachts, known as Nolimits. The interiors of its 45-metre flagship were recently released to BOAT International .
