Angelina Yachtcharter has a presence at the renowned D-Marin Mandalina in Sibenik, which is one of the safest berthing locations in the Adriatic Sea due to the strong winds like BURA and JUGO. Angelina's yacht charter in Šibenik features over 20 berths and over 20 vessels available for charter, in Marina Mandalina in Sibenik including sailing boats, catamarans for charter and motor yachts.

It is located in Sibenik, a lovely and old city on the Dalmatian coast, owing to its naturally sheltered location, it is regarded as one of the safest berthing spots.

HOW TO OBTAIN ACCESS OR GET HERE?

The marina is easily accessible by automobile, only 50 minutes along the new highway/motorway from Split International Airport and Zadar International Airport, both of which offer excellent connections to the rest of Europe's main cities. The marina is accessible through frequent bus services or private vehicles from both airports. Also accessible are car rental services.

Sibenik is a lovely town with a 950-year history. Sibenik is a true jewel, with two UNESCO world heritage sites, St. James Cathedral and St. Nicholas Fortress, thanks to its cultural and architectural legacy. The marina is only a few minutes from the city of Sibenik, which may be accessed by vehicle or taxi boat. Numerous larger shopping centres are available for purchasing food and other essentials for your journey. There is a KONZUM grocery store within the Marina where you may purchase supplies. Situated in the heart of the Adriatic and flanked by several islands, it offers a one-of-a-kind sailing experience. There are two stunning national parks in the vicinity – Krka and Kornati – both of which are easily accessible by water and are just a few hours away. Our yacht charter office in Sibenik is located in the main building at the main entrance, near the restaurant, restrooms and marina parking, where you may sit for a drink or lunch while waiting for your boat before checking in or after checking out while waiting for the taxi or shuttle.

AMENITIES AVAILABLE AT THE MARINA MANDALINA ŠIBENIK

Drinking water, security 24 hours a day, electric power, electric car chargers, gas bottles, Wi-Fi network, laundry service, 50 tons travel lift, trash and oil removal, children's playground, nautical clothing shop, and talented marina staff are available from 08:00 a.m. to 20:00 a.m. during the season.

Paid parking is available within the marina and is safe and secure 24 hours a day. The fee is €16 per day. Payment for parking is performed at payment terminals located at the marina Mandalina's exit or reception, not at the toll booth!

Mandalina Marina & Yacht Club  is located in the center of the  Croatian Adriatic  coast, in the historical town of Sibenik, between two national parks: Kornati archipelago and Krka waterfalls. An indisputable advantage of the marine site is its location in the bottom of the deep Sibenik canal's bay. Marina is protected from all winds; sheltered by the peninsula from the northern wind Bura and strengthened with a strong breakwater that keeps it safe from the southern Jugo wind.

At this moment, Mandalina Marina & Yacht Club features 350 in-water slips and 50 dry - dock berths on land and accommodate vessels up to 75 meters, offering an outstanding range of on-site conveniences for luxury yacht owners, their guests, and crew members.

Marina for  mega yachts , which NCP Group develops in cooperation with foreign partners, will accommodate vessels up to 100 meters in length, and it will consist of 65 additional berths for mega yachts. Construction of mega-yacht marina will be completed by the end of 2010.

About town Sibenik

Šibenik, a gem in the  Croatian Adriatic , is situated along the mouth of Krka on the most picturesque part of the eastern Adriatic coast. As the oldest Croatian autonomous town, it was first mentioned in 1066 during the reign of the Croatian King Kresimir IV.

Sibenik region  is one of the most attractive areas of the  Croatian coast  that National Geographic magazine included between the most beautiful sailing destinations in the world. Furthermore, Mandalina Marina & Yacht Club is very pleasant for staying because it's very quiet and calm during the night, but only a few minutes away from downtown of Sibenik, famous for its UNESCO protected heritage with a great offer of entertaining summer events. Near the town, there are two national parks -  Krka and Kornati  whose fascinating landscapes take visitors breath away. The Falcon Centre, only eight kilometers away from Šibenik, in a beautiful dense pine forest, is a unique place where visitors can meet and learn about the life of falcons, and Etnoland Dalmatia near the Krka National Park offers visitors the chance to learn through real-life experience about the Dalmatian hinterland's past.

Built between 1431 and 1535, St. Jacob's Cathedral witnessed important exchanges in the area of monumental art between North Italy,  Dalmatia  and Tuscany in the 15th and 16th centuries. Three architects - Francesco di Giacomo, George of Dalmatia and Nicholas of Florence – developed a structure fully made of stone, by using a unique technique for the cathedral's dome. The result is a harmonious stone whole, arrangement methods, and absolute harmony within the cathedral.

You can always forget the structured world of marinas and wing it, dropping your anchor in one of the many island oases – Zlarin and Prvić lie nearest to the city, Tijat, Zmajan and Kakan are uninhabited, Kaprije and Žirje face the open sea. Besides, the island Krapanj which is only 300 m away from the mainland is the story for itself.

Kornati National park

The famous Kornati National park and Murter are close as well but do not belong to the Šibenik archipelago. It seems like mother nature has modeled this part of the Adriatic especially for Šibenik yacht charter; the long and narrow runway toward the Krka National park. You can take that long, winding canyon toward the Prokljansko lake, enjoying the sci-fi setting, all the way to the town of Skradin.

The town located at the mouth of the river Krka is a safe option with no bigger waves, a charming place whose quiet is only interrupted by frogs and crickets performing their nightly gig.

The islands of Prvić, Zlarin and Lupac

Šibenik luxury yacht charter guide, almost immediately after leaving the Sv. Nikola canal recommends visiting amazing islands Zlarin and Prvić. Zlarin is both an island and the largest town on it, a peaceful place with calming sunsets and pastel-colored houses.

Tie your yacht on the long pier and take a relaxing walk – preferably to the Prslika trattoria, a favorite among international celebrities big and small and fine food lovers. If you want to experience Zlarin island in Croatia, but have no desire to stroll busy town streets, we suggest anchoring in Magarna cove on the north-east side of the island.

The island of Prvić – the third in the trio with Zlarin and Lupac – is similar to Zlarin. The only protected port on the island is Prvić Luka, but you can drop the anchor at Trstevica beach in the nearby Šepurine. Trattoria Ribarski dvori has reserved ‘parking spots’ for their guests.

When in Prvić, make sure you see the Faust Vrančić memorial museum, take a one-mile walk to Šepurine and explore stone-cobbled streets, and at sunset sit for a relaxing dinner by the sea. The most famous restaurant on the island of Prvić is Mareta, whose traditional food, fresh-made ice cream and friendly staff explain its long-lasting popularity.

Krapanj – island of sea sponges

Krapanj is a unique Croatian island by all means and a must-see in our Šibenik luxury yacht charter guide. Besides being the smallest and the lowest (1.25 m) inhabited island in Croatia, it’s famous for sea sponges, that have in the past shaped the island’s identity – make sure not to leave this small jewel set in the heart of the Šibenik archipelago without getting this valuable souvenir. The island of Tijat

In the Šibenik archipelago, the island of Tijat is beloved among lovers of peace and calm turquoise waters. There is only one anchorage there – the well-protected Tijašćica cove with many buoys and a small pontoon. The cove is somewhat busy during the day, but at sunset calm descends upon it. The newly opened summer place Spirito bar is the only place on the island that makes even a little noise – but only a little, so sit by the pines and enjoy a cocktail.

Unlike Tijat, the uninhabited Zmajan has no natural coves. During calm weather, its southern coast is perfect for Šibenik yacht charter lovers looking for a serene night under the stars.

The island of Kaprije – named after the delicious caper – is the heart of the Šibenik archipelago and a logical choice for those in transit between Split and Kornati. The best-protected place to drop the anchor is Kaprije cove, and the most famous trattoria on the island Kod Kate.

Kaprije may be small, but it offers more than one cove and one trattoria: Remetić cove has ten buoys, Medoš cove promises an excellent lunch in trattoria Kunjka, Mala Nozdra cove has two trattorias – Mateo and G-8.

Yacht Charter Sibenik

The medieval Sibenik enchants already skipper and crew with its impressive skyline and the waterfront promenade, when the yacht passes the ramparts through Sv Ante - channel and runs into the great harbor.

Sibenik has 70,000 inhabitants and was built in 1066 as a terrace on a hill, from where the large natural harbor and the offshore islands could be overlooked.

This strategic location, was also noticed by the Romans and Venetians, who built fortresses that still exist today.

 The special thing is its unique roof construction and 70 stone heads look impressive from 6 meters height from the exterior. From the cathedral ait is worth to walk through the winding, narrow streets of the old town up to the fortress of Sv. Mihovil. It was built by the Romans, and it is now the oldest fortress of the city. A unique view of the fortress wall compensates one for the exertions of the climb in any case.

Church lovers should visit the Orthodox Church, the Assumption. It is located just before the theater space. The church was was founded by Napoleon in 1808, built in baroque style for the population of Istria and Dalmatia. The treasury contains icons, a collection of silver and two beautiful candelabra from Venice. The bell tower is one of the most beautiful on the Adriatic.

If you park directly below the cathedral, you can use the toilets of the hotel opposite. A gas station is located on the east side. On the promenade you can enjoy great restaurants, the specialties of the region. Supermarkets can be found in the Old Town.

On the east side is the Marina Mandalina, a cozy marina which is an ideal starting point for trips to the Kornati islands and Krka waterfalls. The Krka waterfalls plunges down over several falls of different heights and are typical phenomena of a karst area. The individual basins are created after the deposition of wood, moss, plants and small crustaceans. The whole area was lovingly created and is constantly expanding. In nostalgic buildings next to the falls you can observe artisans at blacksmithing or loom work.

Sibenik is the city less known to tourist than Dubrovnik and Split, although it has it’s own unique personality and charm. The atmosphere in Sibenik is youthful and lively. Marina Mandalina is located on the Dalmian coast of Sibenik.

The marina is just 10 minutes drive from Split and Zagreb motorway - and a short transfer from Zadar airport. Here the marina is well protected for both winds and waves.

It is the only port in Croatia, awarded 5 stars by the Croatian association of ports and marinas. The port was built in 2012 and serves boats up to 95 meters.

Check-in / check-out The Yachting Club office is in the building on the first floor next to the large parking lot. The boats are at Pier C.

The boat is taken over at 13:00 and returns at 09:00 on the last day. You should be back at 18:00 the day before delivery.

BEST BAYS AROUND ŠIBEBNIK

Finally, one of the most beautiful bays in Šibenik area is Podkucina bay on the island Kakan. This bay is famous for its unique shape, with its narrow entrance through two small islands. The bay is only accessible by boat and it's a popular spot among many sailors in this region.

Mooring in the National Park is only allowed in certain bays such as Stiniva, Tomasovac – Suha Punta, Šipnate, Lučica, Opat, Smokvica, Ravni Žakan, Lavsa, Piškera – Vela Panitula, Anica on Levrnaka, Podbižanj, Koromašna and a few others.

Krapanj Island is one of the smallest inhabited islands in the Adriatic, it has the lowest elevation (1.5 m) and sinks like Venice. For over 300 years there has been a tradition of harvesting and selling sea sponges that are indicators of a clean and warm sea. There is a hotel with mooring places. Crni rižot is a distinctive black risotto cooked with fresh cuttlefish or squid. The risotto's intimidatingly dark hue is derived from cuttlefish ink, and it is frequently flavoured with mussels, clams, and other shellfish.

Šibenik has 2 marinas: Marina Mandalina situated in the wide bay of Šibenik peninsula Mandalina and Marina Solaris.

Marina Mandalina Marina position Marina Mandalina (43°43.0′ N, 015°54.3′ E) is the only marina in Croatia rewarded with 5 Gold Anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association of Croatia for quality berthing facilities, situated in the city of Šibenik.

Berths The marina offers 429 berths and 50 dry berths. It is fully equipped to accommodate mega yachts up to 140 metres long with unlimited draft. The marina is open throughout the year.

Facilities Reception desk with the exchange office, parking lot, rent-a-car service, grocery shop, two restaurants, toilets with showers, laundry, service area with trevel lift and crane, WLAN Internet.

Traffic connections There are two airports in the vicinity of Šibenik connected with regular direct lines to all the biggest European centers, Split and Zadar, both 40 minutes from the marina. For those travelling from Zagreb or Split, there is a highway, while for those arriving by sea it is severely forbidden to reach the speed limit of 6 knots within the zone of up to 300 m from the coastline.

Marina Solaris Marina position Marina Solaris (N 43°42’00”; E 15°53’20”) is located 6 km from Šibenik, on the peninsula within Solaris Holiday Resort.

Berths The marina offers 190 sea berths that can be used on a yearly, monthly or daily base.

Traffic connections Šibenik is located at the crossing of the main roads Šibenik – Drniš – Knin and Zadar – Šibenik – Split. Sailing route Šibenik North will take you on an unforgettable journey through the islands' hidden coves in the Šibenik archipelago and the islands of magical beauty, the Kornati National Park. If you are looking for your place under the sun surrounded by the beauties of untouched nature, enchanted by the scents of endemic, medicinal herbs , unforgettable gastronomic moments - this is an itinerary tailored to you.

Day 1 ŠIBENIK - ZLARIN  4NM

After checking in on the yacht and sailing out from Šibenik marina, you`ll quickly reach the island of Zlarin .  On the way to Zlarin island, enjoy the passage through the St. Anthony canal and the view of the historic fortress of St. Nicholas.  

Zlarin is a small island but abounds with rich historical, cultural, and natural treasures . Especially valuable are the churches with altars decorated with gold and red coral branches that sailors left as a sign of their commitment.

Here you can give your palate the pleasure of tasting the Mediterranean and Dalmatian cuisine , emphasizing seafood, crab, shellfish, and fish dishes.

Port of Zlarin lies in the bay, well protected from all winds except strong W and NW winds. You can moor your yacht to the S side of the 140-meter-long pier . The pier is equipped with laid moorings, water and electricity connections. You can find grocery stores, restaurants, an ambulance, a post office, a small market, and a museum in the village.

Day 2 ZLARIN - ŽIRJE (Stupica Vela) 12NM

The island of Žirje is unique for its numerous coves and a long coastline of 39.2 kilometers, with many beautiful islets in the surroundings. Same as Zlarin, Žirje belongs to the Šibenik archipelago.

The coast of Žirje is well-indented, with numerous smaller and bigger inlets that serve as a boat shelter. An ideal anchorage can be found in bays like Mala and Velika Stupica, Tratinska, Muna , etc.

Day 3 ŽIRJE - KORNATI (Opat bay) 13NM

National Park Kornati is a "nautical paradise," with its 89 uninhabited islands, islets, and reefs on 300 km². Besides the natural beauties, in the hidden coves of Kornati , you can enjoy an exceptional gastro experience . In Kornati National Park, there are more than 20 top restaurants , where you can taste unique specialties made of homegrown , fresh , delicious ingredients, complimented with great wine and fantastic views.

In the bay, you can look for a berth on the pier of the tavern Opat. In Opat you can find a berth on their pier and enjoy the traditional Dalmatian recipes based on fish, shells, and locally grown ingredients.

Day 4 OPAT - ISLAND ŽUT 19NM

On the way from Opat to the island of Žut, you can test your sailing skills while cruising around the numerous beautiful islets of the Kornati archipelago.

One of the places we recommend visiting on the island of Žut is the fish restaurant Fešta in Golubovac Bay, near the ACI marina Žut . You can moor your boat to a pier with showers, electricity, and water.

Day 5 ISLAND ŽUT - VELI IŽ 14NM

Veli Iž is one of two villages on the island of Iž. Veli Iž is located in the west part of the island, with two shops, a couple of bars and taverns, and a small marina with 45 berths in the sea. Along the coast, there are beautiful walking paths and romantic beaches. The whole island is intertwined with paths , which are great for both cycling and hiking.

The island of Iž is famous for fishing and agriculture and has a long tradition of pottery making .

Thanks to its vicinity to the Kornati islands and numerous islands in the area, Veli Iž is a sailing paradise.

Day 6 VELI IŽ - MURTER 25NM

With its excellent position, pleasant Mediterranean climate, crystal clear sea, pebbly and sandy beaches, vicinity to the National Parks of Kornati and Krka, and highway connections, Murter Island is a favorite sailing destination. There are four villages on the island where you can find a safe berth for your yacht, Murter, Jezera, Betina, and Tisno.

Due to a very indented coastline , Murter abounds with bays and lovely beaches . The most famous beaches are on the southern side of the island, well protected from Bora.
