In an ultra-feminine twist on a luxury cruiser’s generally stoic design, a pretty pink catamaran has been scooped up for $5.86 million by an unidentified “international tech entrepreneur,” SWNS reports .

Built by Turkey-based VisionF Yachts, the 80-foot-long boat has what the company describes as an “unusual, eye-catching pink paintwork,” which makes it “guaranteed to stand out from the crowd,” especially when compared to more traditional models.

“The client requested his yacht be painted a custom shade of pink,” VisionF Yachts explained to SWNS, noting that it’s not just the exterior that’s reminiscent of Barbie. The furniture and carpets inside have a pink tint as well.

“She is unique in many ways,” added VisionF Yachts general manager Ali Tanir of the watercraft.

Other amenities on the megayacht — which has four suites and the capacity to host eight guests and five crew members — include a DJ console and a deck ideal for “sunbathing or simply enjoying the sea views from the comfy sunpads and seating upholstered in weather-resistant fabrics.”

There’s also a flybridge, a 580-square-foot saloon, and a mobile stern platform that can be lowered for better water access and to take the onboard jet boat (which is also pink) for a ride, according to The Sun .

In more flashy but less colorful yacht news, a $355 million and over 377-foot-long yacht (to give a sense of scale, the Statue of Liberty is 305 feet tall) made headlines earlier this year for its over-the-top amenities, including a helipad, spa and theater.

“We have thousands of materials, different woods … paint, alloy, cable trays — so many cable trays — and also in the interior, so many different kinds of stones, woods, carpets, mother-of-pearl and wallpaper, it’s unbelievable, and I guess not countable,” Tanja Peters — the project manager for the ship’s builder, Lürssen — told Boat International of the vessel’s design, The Post previously reported.

The naval architecture was developed by Ocean Vision , and the interior of the yacht was designed by Romeo Design - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

When delivered, BARBIE will join a fleet of 180 motor yachts in the 50-55m size range.

A MYSTERY tech magnate is the owner of the £5million "Barbie" superyacht that stuns lucky guests with its 70s-inspired interior.

The distinctive pink catamaran was brought to life by luxury yacht designers - and even features a 54-square-metre saloon and velvet carpets.

The stunning vessel's name remains unknown, but some social media users have dubbed it the 'Pink Panther'

The 24.6metre aluminum vessel looks like it was plucked straight out of the Barbie movie as its pink body was seen gliding through crystal blue waters.

But the boat's name and owner remain a mystery - with social media users suggesting her name could be "Cotton Candy" or the "Pink Panther".

Turkish builder Vision F Yachts launched the pink ship earlier this year, and it was quickly scooped up by an international tech entrepreneur , according to reports.

Accommodation aboard "Pretty In Pink" includes space for eight guests across four cabins, with an additional crew of five.

Her starboard side hull houses a large master stateroom, a twin-single guest stateroom, and a crew cabin.

Meanwhile, the portside hull includes the galley, and two luxurious ensuite guest staterooms forward, with a crew cabin in the bow.

The striking pink colour scheme marks a bright farewell for the 80 class of the company's superyacht - after its third iteration sported an all-black exterior.

The interior décor pays homage to the 70s with its plush velvet carpet, rounded sofa chairs, and integrated lighting.

The features within the vessel keep with the pink colour theme, using a range of shades from baby pink to dusty pink.

The classy fixed furniture was also produced in-house, with designer pieces supplied by RoveConcepts, Moro, Crate & Barrel, Kravet, Paola Lenti, and Farrow & Ball.

The stern platform can be lowered for easy access to the water so the small jet boat on board, which is also pink, can get to sea.

But, with a shallow draft of under a meter, the catamaran itself can navigate shallow waters and reach remote bays too.

The yacht boasts a flybridge, an exterior helm station, and sun pads for sunbathing.

The sun pads are upholstered in weather-resistant fabric, meaning you can kick back and relax while catching sunny rays, and enjoying the panoramic views from the deck.

Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1050 drives, the VisionF 80 can reach a maximum speed of 18 knots and has a range of over 1,800 nautical miles.

Ali Tanir, the general manager of VisionF Yacht, told of his pleasure in collaborating with various parties on the unique project.

"I am very happy to be involved even at the delivery stage of this project; she is truly one-of-a-kind," he said.

While “Pretty In Pink” marks the culmination of the Vision F80 series, VisionF Yachts already has its sights set on the future.

Three units in the new VisionF 82 series are currently under construction, with plans for their launch in the winter of 2023/2024.

These vessels promise to build upon the legacy of innovation and individuality exemplified by “Pretty In Pink.”

But the Barbie Dreamhouse yacht isn't the only vessel that has turned heads recently.

In September, an uber green 270ft super yacht run on wind and solar power with enough room for a nightclub on board was unveiled.

It is designed by Netherlands-based yacht builder Feadship, who has been in the business for 74 years.

Dubbed "Dune", the vessel will run off wind and solar energy to reduce emissions and be climate-friendly.

Owner of M/Y 'Barbie' receives $20 million payout

The insurers of superyacht m/y barbie have paid out $20 million just 60 days after the fire that led to her destruction.….

On 4 January the superyachts M/Y The One and M/Y Barbie were involved in a fire at the Marmaris Marina, Turkey, which rendered both total losses. The fire, which broke out on Lürssen’s 74m The One , quickly spread to the 52m Romeo Marine-built Barbie and subsequently gutted both vessels.

Hiscox MGA, the London-based insurance firm, has announced that 14 Lloyd’s insurers have paid a sum of $20 million to Barbie’s owner for the irreparable damage caused by the blaze.

“M/Y Barbie is the largest claim that the superyacht insurance market has had to deal with in quite some time,” explains Paul Miller, Hiscox MGA’s director of underwriting. “That it was paid in full within 60 days of the event will hopefully help the owner to reach closure from this traumatic incident. It is pleasing that we could resolve this claim so speedily.”

The claim was, fortunately for Barbie’s owner, a rather black and white one. “The boat caught fire, it rolled over, it was a total loss,” says Miller. He goes on to explain that minor incidents can be far more complicated to resolve based on the lack of a total loss and the necessity of thorough investigation.

“The local investigation is still ongoing and there are things about the claim that we still cannot say - we don’t want to prejudice that,” continues Miller.

While the owner’s claim was a clear-cut one, the process of claiming recoveries has also begun.

The insurers of The One may be able to limit their liability, but nothing will be clear until the official investigation is complete.
