• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Where i can more with yacht along the amalfi coast.

There are several options for mooring a luxury yacht on the Amalfi Coast. The equipped ports near the Amalfi Coast are Capri's Marina Grande, Amalfi's Marina Grande, and Sorrento's Marina Grande and Piano di Sorrento (on the Sorrento Peninsula). In Positano, on the other hand, there is no port, only a pier equipped for disembarking and embarking. There is also a buoy field in front of Fornillo beach. From these towns, you can quickly move to visit the inland villages like Ravello. All the Amalfi Coast is a Unesco World Heritage site.

With a superyacht you can also reach the Aeolian Island and the Sicily Coast or sail till Sardinia.

Between Capri and the Amalfi Coast, the only stretch of coast subject to restrictions is that of the Bay of Ieranto around Punta Campanella. Here you cannot enter with motor boats or anchor there. Instead, it is possible to stop along the coast, off Positano, next to the island li Galli, and around the island of Capri in front of the Blue Grotto or near the Faraglioni. These are just some of the mooring options available on the Amalfi Coast for luxury yachts.

What boats are available for rent on the Amalfi Coast?

There are a variety of boats available for rent on the Amalfi Coast. Motorboats, gozzi, inflatable boats and motor yachts are all options. The most famous shipyard in the area is the Sorrentine "Fratelli Aprea," which produces typical wooden gozzo boats in both basic and luxury versions. Pershing and Itama yachts are also available. You can also find old-fashion catamarans boats in wooden. However, sailboats and sailing yachts are more difficult to find as they are not very suitable for sailing in this area. Whichever type of boat you choose, you're sure to enjoy exploring the Coast from the water.

What staff will be onboard?

When chartering a luxury yacht for a stay on the Amalfi Coast, it is important to ensure that the vessel is staffed with a skilled and professional team. Renting a bareboat is not an option here for yachts. At a minimum, the yacht should have a skipper and a hostess on board; other figures such as chefs or masseuses can be arranged on request. The skipper will be responsible for navigation and safety, while the hostess will take care of passenger comfort and needs. Both roles are essential in ensuring charter guests have a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Amalfi coast yacht charter faq.

The cost of chartering a yacht on the Amalfi Coast will start at around $20,000 a week, plus an additional 30% advanced provisioning allowance (APA), 14% VAT, and a discretionary tip. The APA will cover the food, drinks, fuel, and berthing during your travels, and the tip remains at the discretion of the client but is advised anywhere between 10% to 20% of the charter fee to thank the crew for their efforts.

The starting price for a yacht charter on the Amalfi Coast will be around $25,000 for a week for 6 guests plus expenses. There’s a vast selection of yachts available in the area, with many size categories to choose from: - A 20m motor yacht will cost around €17,500pw + all - A 25m motor yacht will cost around €25,000pw + all - A 30m yacht will cost around €70,000pw + all - A 40m superyacht will cost around €150,000pw + all - A 50m superyacht will cost around €250,000pw + all

The Amalfi Coast offers warmer weather earlier in the season than the South of France and the Cinque Terre. Chartering a yacht in April is a good solution to avoid the crowds, yet connoisseurs would most likely prefer to charter post-season in October to enjoy the warmer waters. The high season is July and August.

Most of the Amalfi Coast yacht charters will start in Naples, before embarking on a great cruise around the nearby islands:

- Naples - The birthplace of pizza and a UNESCO World Heritage site. For quiet beach days, cruise to Cavallo Morto near Maiori, Santa Croce west of Amalfi or the Bay of Ieranto with a tiny beach set in a cove opposite Capri’s Faraglioni rocks.

The journey on the Amalfi coast starts from the Naples International Airport ( Naples Capodichino Airport ). • Neapolitan pizza- This is where the world’s favorite snack food was invented, made from plain flour and topped with whatever was easily available in the territory – some fresh tomatoes, goat’s cheese, and herbs. They still make it as they used to centuries ago , and it’s just as delectable!
• Terra Murata-  a fortified medieval village, is accessible only through a steep climb from which you can admire a breathtaking view over the entire Gulf of Naples . What makes this place special are not only the medieval fortifications and the scenic views, but also the two long-range cannons dating back to the Neapolitan Republic of 1799 .

YACHT CHARTER DAY 2: ISCHIA

Set sail to the largest island of Naples Bay – the volcanic island of Ischia, only a short distance from Procida. Ischia is known for its therapeutic thermal water springs , rated as one of the world’s best natural spas . Discover the luscious greenery, fjords, and coves while roaming the sea around the island. Ischia is also well known for its vineyards producing world-famous wines, and has served as the setting for numerous movies such as “ Cleopatra ” .

Capri  is an island located off the tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula. • The Faraglioni (known as Milsetone Rocks), off the coast of Capri, are imposing rocks rising from the sea at heights of over 100 meters, reachable only by sea and home to the island’s rare blue lizard , which can be seen basking in the sunlight.

Yacht Charter Day 4: Sorrento

Indulge yourself in the La Dolce Vita feel while sailing back to the mainland to Sorrento , an impossibly picturesque little town, the mythological site of the Odyssey’s Sirens .

Cruise to Marina del Cantone , a small hidden gem at the old fishing village of Nerano , with a beautiful pebbled beach and many beach bars as well as a few Michelin-starred restaurants .

Also known as Emerald Grotto , this magical cave offers quite a beautiful sight when the sunlight filters through the turquoise water into the grotto through underwater openings. Sunbathe and relax at Fornillo Beach (its name derives from the fact that ancient Romans baked bread in stone ovens there) – rather than the crowded main beach Spiaggia Grande- for a calm and serene experience. From there, you can avoid the stairs and reach the mountaintop with cable cars for a breathtaking aerial view of Positano .

• As in most Southern Italy, the area is famous for its “ cucina povera ” (poor man’s kitchen), delicious cooking using only locally sourced and in-season ingredients. Some examples are spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams), scialatielli alle cozz e (fresh pasta with mussels), best to be sampled accompanied by wine from the local world-class vineyards.
• The “Walk of Gods” (also called Sentiero degli Dei). This is the most popular hike to do along the Amalfi Coast and it is famous for its jaw-dropping views over Positano and the Sorrento peninsula .

Located on the  central Amalfi Coast , Amalfi Town is a must-visit on an Amalfi Coast Yacht Charter. The town borders the  Gulf of Salerno  and is characterized by  steep cliffs  along its rugged coastline. The town is known for its dramatic coastal setting, with  colorful buildings  climbing up the steep slopes and overlooking the  Tyrrhenian Sea .

Amalfi is renowned for its historical and cultural sites, notably the 9th-century  Cathedral of St. Andrew . Beyond coastal charm, the region offers inland adventures with several popular trekking routes.  The Path of Gods trail  from  Agerola  to  Positano  is a highlight, along with hikes to  Valle delle Ferriere’s waterfalls , and  Monte Faito  where you will get the most amazing panoramic views of the  Gulf of Naples  and the  Sorrento Peninsula .

From here you can also visit Ravello, a beautiful town perched high above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Ravello is surrounded by lush gardens, terraced vineyards , and  lemon groves , and offers stunning panoramic views of the coastline.

One of Ravello’s most iconic landmarks is  Villa Rufolo , a historic villa known for its beautiful gardens. The villa dates back to the  13th century  and has been a source of inspiration for many artists and writers. The annual  Ravello Festival , featuring classical music concerts, takes place in the gardens of Villa Rufolo.

Amalfi has a port called Porto di Amalfi , where yachts of various sizes can moor. Dock your charter yacht at Amalfi and enjoy a land excursion to Ravello .

• Amalfi is renowned for its historical and cultural sites, notably the 9th-century  Cathedral of St. Andrew .
• Fiordo di Furore, the Fjord of Fury , is one of the coast’s most unique geological features. Visitors can access the beach via a bridge and descend stairs along the gorge’s cliffs . The beach offers several trails, including one that leads to an old fishing village and another that provides stunning ocean views.
• The Path of Gods trail  from  Agerola  to  Positano  is a highlight, along with hikes to  Valle delle Ferriere’s waterfalls , and  Monte Faito  where you will get the most amazing panoramic views of the  Gulf of Naples  and the  Sorrento Peninsula .

Salerno is the center point of a triangle nicknamed Tourist Triangle of the 3 P’s (namely a triangle with the corners being Pompei, Positano, and Paestum ). The latter is a popular seaside resort with long sandy beaches, as well as famous Greek ruins including three of the best preserved ancient temples .

In the heart of Salerno Old Town , well worth a visit is Minerva’s Garden , with many rare plants and flowers of therapeutic (used as medicine in the Middle Ages) as well as ornamental value, such as the luscious rose beds.

• If you are a golfing enthusiast, the place to be is the Golf Club Salerno. The club terrain is flat , so it is perfect for amateur golfers as well.
• The many workshops and retail stores manufacture and sell the famous Majolica pottery , one of the finest species of ceramics in the world . Not cheap, but very rare and beautiful. A couple of majolica espresso cups will attract envy back home.
• Salerno’s cathedral , the Duomo di Salerno , was consecrated in 1085 and is considered a wonder of medieval architecture. According to legend, it houses the remains of Apostle Matthew .

Yacht Charter Day 8: Cruising Back to Naples

Cruising back to Naples port for the nearby Naples International airport is the longest sailing of this yacht charter. Cruising through the Mediterranean waters, you can enjoy the beautiful coastline, greenery, picturesque little villages perched on the rocky coast, and the calmness of the sea for one last time.

The Gulf of Naples on the way back to the city’s busy port offers amazing scenery as well as the opportunity to re-visit some of the best places you have seen, perhaps accompanied by dolphins frolicking along the yacht’s bow.

Captain antonino aiello.

Antonio, born in 1983, is from the Amalfi Coast. Since his father was a professional sailor, he developed a love for the sea when he was young. After completing his studies at the Nautical Institute, Antonino spent five years working in the yachting industry on cruise ships. He then moved on to tour the wonderful island of Capri as a charter Captain on private yachts.

His extensive sailing experience, combined with his welcoming attitude, is a perfect combination to ensure his guests feel comfortable and safe. Furthermore, he knows the Amalfi Coast and the Gulf of Naples, allowing guests to discover secret spots known only to locals.

Additionally, Antonino holds multiple certifications in First Aid, including Basic Life Support and Defibrillation. He is also fluent in Italian and English.

Chef Salvatore Aiello

Salvatore is the man behind the 5-star floating restaurant of the Riviera yacht. Salvatore learned his cooking skills at his family’s restaurant in Sorrento. His fresh, natural, and local Mediterranean-style dishes have impressed even the most critical clients.

He creates customized, innovative recipes using the finest ingredients to delight each guest.

Moreover, Salvatore has over a decade of experience as a deckhand and additional specialized training in yacht charters. Salvatore is also in charge of all the watersports activities. He ensures the safety of his guests during their stay. Salvatore is proficient in both Italian and basic English.

6 ways to see the Amalfi Coast on a budget

The Amalfi Coast – where glamorous yachts crowd coastal inlets and nights at its bloom-draped hotels can start at €350 – is Italy at its most luxe.

It’s hard to believe that before the 20th century, this 50km (31-mile) stretch of dramatic cliffs and lemon groves was just a string of poor fishing villages. Thanks to the writers and filmmakers who immortalized its beauty, palatial seaside hotels cropped up seemingly overnight, celebrities flocked to its shores and the Amalfi Coast-as-influencer was born.

In addition to super expensive accommodations, expect bloated tourist prices at restaurants and cafes, where meals will run you €50 on average and an espresso can cost upwards of €5 (compared to €1 in most of Italy). And yet, the Amalfi Coast is irresistible. Here are our tips on stretching your humble euro so you can enjoy this stunning when you're not part of the glitterati.

A guide to daily costs in the Amalfi Coast

• Dorm bed in a hostel: €50–250
• Basic hotel room for two: from €50–350
• Self-catering apartment (including Airbnb):  €50 and way, way up
• Single-ride bus ticket: €1.30
• Ferry ticket: €3 and up
• Espresso: €5 
• Gelato: from  €3
• Lunchtime sandwich: €3–8
• Pizza margherita: €7
• Three-course restaurant dinner for two: from €100
• A glass of wine: €5

Average daily cost: €300

Public transport is the most cost-effective way to get here...

...if you’re already in Italy, that is. Take a high speed Frecciarossa train to Naples , then a ferry (€30 and up) or bus (from €1.30) to your chosen Amalfi Coast town. It’ll take about twice as long as a taxi, but sure beats paying upwards of €100. 

Aim to come in the shoulder season

Summer is undoubtedly the most popular time to visit – and the most expensive. Worse, every square meter crawls with tourists and the heat soars upwards of 32°C (90°F), turning the region into a sweaty hellscape. August is the absolute worst moment, when vacationing Italians join the fray and many businesses and tourist sites will be closed. The madness reaches its miserable peak at Ferragosto – the Italian summer solstice festival, celebrated on August 15. Instead, plan your trip for the shoulder season (September and October, March to early June), when most tourists are gone and the weather is glorious. Prices start coming down after August 15, and you'll be rubbing shoulders mostly with locals.

You can also find good deals during the off-season (November to March). It'll be too cold for sundresses, but the Amalfi Coast's villages and hikes are still exceptionally beautiful during this time. Keep in mind, however, that the region goes into hibernation in colder months, with public transit and restaurant service greatly reduced. Many hotels shut down until Easter, so while you'll find cheaper stays (with prices around 30% less than peak season), your options will be limited.

Get around by public transport

Yes, it’s maddeningly spotty and in peak season, you’ll be (literally) fighting for space on board. But at €1.30 for a single-ride ticket (compared to €30 a day for a car rental plus €1.80/L for petrol), if you’re on a budget,  taking public transport on the Amalfi Coast is a no-brainer. With careful planning, the region’s extensive bus and ferry network can get you wherever you need to go, from the coastal villages to the mountain towns like Ravello and Agerola, the starting point for the  Path of the Gods hike.

Amalfi , Sorrento and Positano have the most ferry and bus connections. The ferries are the single best option for getting between coastal cities, as they're faster and far less crowded than buses. In either case, be sure to check the transport schedule carefully – in shoulder and off season, service is drastically reduced, and in peak season when buses will often be too packed to stop, it's helpful to know when the next is coming. Buy bus tickets at tobacconists, directly onboard or download the  UnicoCampania app to get bus schedules in real time and buy your ticket online. Snagging ferry tickets online at sites like  Traghetti.com is recommended to avoid queues at the port.

If you’re on a budget, forget about staying in Positano 

There’s no way around it: accommodations on the Amalfi Coast are pricey, and during peak season, they’re astronomical. Yes, you'll see inexpensive lodgings in the inland mountain cities, but their distance from literally everything ultimately makes them an inconvenient choice. Instead, try the villages between Amalfi and Salerno , where you'll find (slightly more) manageable costs of €100–140 in peak season and €40–80 in off season. For example, tiny Atrani is just 600m (1969ft) away from Amalfi yet accommodations here are often cheaper, allowing you the same convenience and beauty for less. Head east from Amalfi's port through the Luna Rossa car park and then over the bridge to get lost in the snaking alleyways that inspired some of Dutch artist MC Escher's labyrinthine works. Going further east along the coast, you’ll find Praiano – equidistant between Positano and Vietri sul Mare and a backdoor entrance to the Path of the Gods hike if you’re prepared to climb up 1000 steps – and the fishing villages of Maiori and Minori , just 5 and 10 minutes away from Amalfi by ferry and bus. 

And if you truly have your heart set on visiting the Amalfi Coast's historic luxury hotels, simply drop in for an aperitivo at their bars and terraces. A sunset Aperol Spritz at Positano's  Hotel Le Sirenuse costs way less than a room.

Find deals in Sorrento, a little further off the Amalfi Coast

Sorrento may technically be part of the Sorrento Peninsula , but it’s close enough to the Amalfi Coast to be a viable hub and be far enough away to offer some good deals. Sorrento is also a major ferry and bus crossroads, getting you to Positano and other coastal cities for glorious day trips.

Seek out some of the Amalfi Coast's cheap eats

Scrimping on food while in Italy is sacrilege, especially on the Amalfi Coast, which offers an incredibly rich traditional cuisine as well as world-class restaurants. Balance your food budget by alternating gut-busting meals with lighter fare and remember: you don’t have to pig out to eat well. Look out for these bargain things to eat.

Enjoy pizza in its (almost) birthplace from €5

Pizza – the quintessential Italian cheap eat – was invented just a few dozen kilometers away in Naples , and the entire region reaps the benefits. Pizzerias will also usually serve fritti, fried snacks like arancini or crochette di patate (potato croquettes), for a couple of euros a pop.

Grab a panino to go from €5

In Italy, some of the best culinary experiences can be held in one hand. Visit a caseificio (dairy), salumeria (salami shop) or paninoteca (sandwich shop) to get a gut-busting panino to go, made with rustic breads and heaped with local salume, cheeses and pickled vegetables. A fat panino alla caprese – a sandwich with tomato, basil and succulent mozzarella – is a regional specialty you can’t pass up. 

Take a sweet break with pastries and gelato from €3

Two of Italy’s most delicious inventions are also the least expensive, even on the Amalfi Coast.  Sal de Riso in Minori and  Pasticceria Pansa in Amalfi are two of the region's most famous pastry shops, while Pasticceria Sandra in Vietri sul Mare is an under-the-radar delight. Look for traditional regional pastries like the delizia di limone (lemon cream-filled sponge cake), sfogliatelle and baba' au rum (rum-soaked sponge cake). And when ordering gelato, be sure to ask for panna (whipped cream) on top.

Fill up for less with an apericena from €15

Do as the locals when you're hungry but can't blow your budget: head to apericena . Apericena – a portmanteau of aperitivo (aperitif) and cena (dinner) – is a glorious mega happy hour spread, featuring quality taglieri boards heaped with hearty goodies like local charcuterie, cheeses, pizza and fritti (fried treats) like montanara , fried dough topped with tomato sauce, basil and cheese. Wash it all down with a stiff Negroni.

Enjoy traditional food for less at a trattoria from €15

Sit-down dining options in Italy range from pricey ristoranti (restaurants) to humble trattorie , which is where you'll find traditional home cooking with prices to match. Typical trattoria dishes in this region include gnocchi alla sorrentina , spaghetti alle vongole and parmigiana di melanzane .

Hit up the pubs from €10

Bar food may be the last thing on your mind in Italy but Italian gastropubs help people eat for cheap, serving burgers, sandwiches, steaks, pizza and giant plates of pasta. The quality might not be elite, but you'll often catch live music and get to feel like part of the local zeitgeist. Don't forget, the Amalfi Coast is expensive for Italians, too.
