Large and luxurious go hand-in-hand on the Lagoon 620. There’s enough deck space on the Lagoon 620 to lounge, sunbathe or launch water toys. The huge flybridge is one of the best features and is a remarkable structure that provides separate areas for those actively sailing the boat and those who prefer to sit and watch.

Inside, the Lagoon 620 doesn’t disappoint. The large sliding glass door opens into an extensive saloon. The layout creates a single space with the saloon and the galley combined into an open plan. All cabins are below deck giving some separation from the ... Learn More cooking and lounging area and sleeping cabins, all with queen beds.

Terms and conditions, charter experts, llc terms & conditions.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“ Terms ”) CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES AND OBLIGATIONS AS WELL AS A SECTION GOVERNING THE JURISDICTION AND VENUE OF DISPUTES. THESE TERMS ALSO CONTAIN A LEGALLY BINDING RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK. By creating a username, a login, clicking submit, using the services of Charter Experts, LLC d/b/a Virgin Island Sailing® (“ Broker ) or by accessing Broker’s website, you agree that you have read, and acknowledge your acceptance of these Terms. The Terms are subject to change at any time without notice at Broker’s sole discretion. Additionally, any transaction for which you have made payment shall be governed by the form of Terms in effect at the time of such payment notwithstanding any subsequent changes hereto.

If you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring a Charter (as that term is defined in Section 1 below) for more than just yourself, all references below to “Charterer” or “you” (and derivations thereof) shall be read to mean you on behalf of yourself and each individual within your group for whom you are obtaining a quote, information, booking travel for and/or securing or procuring Charter.

These Terms shall be read together and construed, to the fullest extent possible, to be in concert with any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer. To the extent they cannot be so construed, then in the event of any direct conflict between these Terms and any other agreement by or among Broker and Charterer (including but not limited to the agreement executed by Charterer for a Charter Reservation (as that term is defined in Section 1 below), these Terms shall prevail.

  • Prepaid Charter Reservations . Typically, Broker negotiates charter rates in advance with the yacht owner or charter company (“ Charter Provider ”) to obtain cost-effective rates, and facilitate reservations and availability for yacht charters, excursions and travel (the “ Charter ”). Broker also provides services to you by facilitating the booking of reservations for consideration and receives a commission from the Charter Provider (the “ Broker Fee ”). The Broker Fee is included in the pre-negotiated Charter rate provided to you, plus taxes and other fees where applicable. You agree that your payment is for the total amount set forth in the applicable Charter agreement (which Charter Provider may refer to as a Charter Contract, Charter Agreement, Booking Terms & Conditions, Instructions and Terms for Accommodations, as well as other derivations) provided to you by Broker (“ Charter Agreement ”). Upon execution of the Charter Agreement and receipt of the applicable deposit, you will have made a reservation for the Charter that authorizes Broker to facilitate the Charter on your behalf (“Charter Reservation”), including making payment arrangements with the Charter Provider. You further agree that Broker is a third-party beneficiary to the Charter Agreement and shall have the right to enforce such agreement to the extent it deems such enforcement necessary or advisable to protect its rights hereunder or under the Charter Agreement.

Broker retains the Broker Fee as compensation in arranging your Charter Reservation. The Broker Fee varies based on the amount and type of Charter and/or services provided by Broker.  By making a Charter Reservation, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of the Charter Provider set forth in the Charter Agreement. Cancellation and no-show policies vary for each Charter. Carefully read the Charter Agreement and additional information provided to you by Broker. It is expressly agreed by Charterer that the Broker Fee is earned at the time the Charter Reservation is made. Late payment, wrong credit card or debit card details, invalid credit or debit cards, or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account, and you will not be entitled to any refund of any prepaid amount unless the Charter Provider expressly agrees otherwise under the Charter Agreement or in some other signed writing.

  • Charter Rules and Restrictions . Additional terms and agreements will apply to your Charter Reservation and any purchase or rental of equipment or other items, supplies, provisions and travel you may select. Please read those additional terms carefully. In particular, if you have purchased airfare, please ensure that you read the full terms and conditions of carriage issued by the supplier. You agree to abide by the terms of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal, including but not limited to payment of all amounts when due and compliance with the supplier’s rules and restrictions regarding availability, charges, fares, and use of products and services.
  • Payment . All payments must be made by personal check, bank/wire transfer, ACH payment and/or with a major credit card unless otherwise expressly stated. The total price for the Charter Reservation will be billed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Some banks and credit card companies impose fees for international transactions. If you are making a reservation from outside of the United States on a US credit card, your bank may convert the payment amount to your local currency and charge you a conversion fee. This means the amount listed on your credit or bank card statement may be in your local currency and therefore a different figure than the amount provided by Broker for the Charter Reservation. In addition, a foreign transaction fee may be assessed if the financial institution that issued your credit card is located outside of the United States. Booking international travel may be considered to be an international transaction by the financial institution or card company. The currency exchange rate and foreign transaction fee is determined solely by your financial institution on the day that it processes the transaction. If you have any questions about these fees or the exchange rate applied to your booking, please contact your financial institution. Broker shall not be liable to you for any such service, conversion, or exchange fee.

Broker expressly reserves the right to cancel your Charter Reservation if full payment is not timely received as set forth in the Charter Agreement.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling . You may cancel or change your Charter Reservation as set forth in the Charter Agreement by and among you, the Charter Provider and/or Broker. Please note that some Charter Providers do not permit changes to or cancellation of reservations after they are made, or after a certain date, as indicated in the Charter Agreement. You agree to abide by the terms of the Charter Agreement with respect to your Charter Reservation. Broker will not be responsible for reimbursing Charterer for any previously tendered deposits or payments by Charterer and disclaims all liability for the failure of a Charter Provider to refund or return any such funds.
  • Credit Card Transactions and Chargebacks . If for any reason, any Charter Provider is unable to provide the Charter, or any part thereof, for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the Charter Provider, and not against Broker. However, Broker will use reasonable efforts to assist you and Charter Provider in reaching a resolution to a dispute between you and the Charter Provider. In the event that your payment has already been transferred from Broker to Charter Provider or to an escrow account, you agree that you will not seek a chargeback against Broker for such amounts transferred. You further agree to indemnify and hold Broker harmless from and against any liability, loss, damage or expense (including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) that Broker may incur in connection with chargebacks against Broker or under the Charter Agreement and your performance thereunder. If Broker incurs any costs, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, to recover any payments charged back by your credit card company or other financial institution, you agree that you will be liable for these costs. If your payment is declined for any reason, you agree to settle any amounts owed to Broker via money order, cashier’s check, personal check or bank/ACH transfer immediately.
  • Broker Responsibility . Broker makes arrangements with the Charter Provider. Broker additionally makes additional arrangements with other suppliers for the various components and other services that comprise your Charter (“Charter Suppliers”). Broker is not an agent of these Charter Providers or the Charter Suppliers (and the Charter Providers and Charter Suppliers are not agents of Broker). Broker expressly disclaims any liability for the actions or omissions of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. The Charter Providers and the Charter Suppliers reserve the right to refuse service to you at their sole discretion. Broker assumes no liability for the acts of the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers in refusing service. Broker is not responsible for schedule changes and does not offer compensation for those changes. Broker is not responsible under any circumstances for any injury or damages you may suffer, in connection with sea, air or ground transportation, hotel accommodations, or other travel or excursion services arranged by Broker.

You understand Broker is not the source or supplier of the Charter or other travel services you requested and acts solely as a broker for the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers. You agree that the Charter Provider and Charter Suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to you are those who are solely responsible for providing the Charter you purchase. You consent to and request the use of the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers and agree to not hold Broker responsible should any of them: (i) fail to provide the Charter or travel services you purchased, whether or not such services are listed in the Charter Agreement or otherwise, (ii) fail to comply with any applicable law, or (iii) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes you any sort of injury, damage, delay or inconvenience.

By using Broker’s services, you waive and release any claim against Broker, its affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents, arising out of or in connection with any loss of or damage to property or injury to any person caused by reason of (i) any defect, negligence, or other wrongful act or omission, or any failure of performance of any kind, by any Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, or any other provider of sea, airline, hotel, ground transportation or any other travel provider connected to or otherwise associated with the Charter, (ii) any claim for inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, mental distress or other similar claim, (iii) any delayed departure, missed connection, substitute accommodation, termination of service or change in fares or rates, and (iv) overbooking, flight or other travel cancellation, lost or misconnected personal property, or any claim arising out of the air transportation portion of your travel, and (v) or any other claim arising out of or otherwise related to the Charter Agreement or services provided by the Charter Provider and the Charter Suppliers.

Excepting only liability that directly arises from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Broker, you will not hold Broker responsible for any injury, damage or loss you may suffer while on a Charter, whether incurred on the Charter or in connection with any other rental, purchase, excursion or activity, regardless of the relationship of any of the foregoing with the Charter Provider or the Charter Suppliers.

  • Your Responsibility . By booking a Charter with Broker, you agree to defend and indemnify and hold harmless Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including but not limited to reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with: (i) your breach of these Terms or the documents referenced herein; (ii) your violation of any law or rights of a third party; or (iii) your use of the Broker website.

You will review your Charter Agreement and travel documents for accuracy upon receipt. You understand that it is your responsibility to review the accuracy of all details in the Charter Reservation provided to you, and that you may contact Broker if you have any questions.

You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).

You understand that Broker recommends purchasing travel insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy and the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency.

  • No Warranties . All Charters, products, services, advice and information is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied to the fullest extent permitted under the law, including but not limited to, warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Without limiting the above, no warranty or guarantee is made (i) regarding the acceptance of any reservation request or Charter Reservation; (ii) regarding the availability of Charters, or any other product and/or services through Broker; (iii) that the use of Broker’s website will be error-free; or (iv) regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability or quality of any information, content, data, service, advice or merchandise provided by Broker or through Broker’s website.

Broker has no special knowledge regarding the Charter Provider’s or Charter Supplier’s financial condition, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel during or otherwise in connection with your Charter.

  • Limitation on Liability . In no event shall Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Suppliers, and/or their respective affiliates, or any employees, agents, officers, directors, members or managers of any of the foregoing (“Broker and Charter Releasees”), be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with, your access to, display of or use the Broker’s website, the Charter or services provided to you in connection with the Charter (including, but not limited to, your reliance upon opinions of the Broker), whether based on a theory of negligence, contract, tort, strict liability, consumer protection statutes, or otherwise, and even if Broker and/or any other of the Broker and Charter Releasees have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If, despite the limitation above, Broker or the Broker and Charter Releasees are found liable for any loss or damage which arises out of or in any way connected with any of the occurrences described above, then Broker, Charter Provider, Charter Supplier and the Broker and Charter Releasees will in no event exceed, in the aggregate, the greater of (a) the Broker Fee, and (b) One-Hundred Dollars (US $100.00).

The foregoing limitation of liability reflects the allocation of risk between the parties. The limitations specified in this section will survive and apply even if any limited remedy specified in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose. The limitations of liability provided in these Terms inure to the benefit of Broker and/or its providers.

The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

  • Limitation on Time to File Claims . ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF RELATING TO BROKER’S SERVICES OR THE WEBSITE MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES, OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.
  • Waiver . No waiver by Broker of any term or condition set forth in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and any failure of the Broker to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
  • Severability . If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
  • Governing Law and Mandatory Venue . The laws of the State of Florida govern the rights and obligations of the parties to this Agreement and the interpretation, construction and enforceability thereof. You agree that any action or proceeding initiated by Charterer against Broker shall be brought solely in the federal and state courts of Hillsborough County, Florida, and you submit to the jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objections to the exercise of personal jurisdiction over you by those courts. In the event any action or proceeding is initiated by Charterer in a court outside of Hillsborough County, Florida, Charterer agrees to pay Broker’s costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees associated with defending such action or proceeding and waives any and all defenses to the transfer of said action or proceeding, whether jurisdictional or otherwise, to a federal or state court in Hillsborough County, Florida.

Great Dream Yacht Abacos Sailing Experience

We sailed the Abacos with Dream Yacht Charters and had a wonderful time. We had four young kids and four adults. We visited Hope Town, Elbow Cay, Great Guana Cay, Scotland Cay and Treasure Cay. We had an amazing time and Dream Yacht handled all of our questions before and during our charter and their customer service was above and beyond for a charter company. I highly recommend Dream Yacht for your next charter vacation.

So, I am reading some of these negative reviews and I guess I have low standards. Let's start with packing. They say to pack what you think you need and cut that by 1/3. You can actually cut it by 1/2. There really isn't a lot of room for bulky items like hardcase luggage...duffle bags are the way to go. Yes, you can't board the boat until 6 pm on the first day...but that means you don't need to fly in early and book a room the night before in Nassau, which we did. After checking out of our hotel, it was an easy taxi ride to Palm Cay Marina, and for a nominal fee, we were able to leave our bags in the front office of Dream Yacht Charters and spend the day on the beach with good drinks and food at the bar. We got our motion sickness patches and boarded the boat. Okay, so the shower head (handheld) did not stay on the shower wall (the piece was broken)...but it wasn't all that terrible to leave on the floor while soaping and then hold in hand while rinsing. Would I have preferred it to be affixed to the shower wall? Yes, but everything is made of plastic and ours was broken. So what!?!? After a long hot day on the beach, I just wanted to bathe and get to supper. (It bothered my wife a little more than me, but it is our vacation...so, who cares! Make the best of it and move on.) Also, freshwater tanks were a major source of concern every day...so people spending less time in the showers is actually a good thing! We got held up the next morning waiting on the mechanic to fix something with the boat...but we were just happy to be on a boat and not at work. Let me lounge, please. I don't need to be moving to be happy. There were 12 passengers on our boat: 4 from Chile, 4 from Germany, and 4 Americans. We had so much fun playing drinking games that I think they were inventing using two decks of playing cards. It was a lot of fun! Tia was our chef. Superb food! You can tell that she delights in filling our bellies. She assumed full command of the kitchen. You knew the next meal was coming, and it would be good, but you may not know exactly when it was coming. They call that "island time", Americans specifically have trouble with this. They did have a few bags of chips/nuts out as snacks, but you DEFINITELY want to bring your own snacks (chips, beef jerky, protein bars, etc.) There was a never-ending supply of wines (white/red) and a couple of bottles of rum, the sodas and water were aplenty. One of the families brought two cases of beer (wish I had done that myself). The ice chests kept ice most of the time for making iced drinks and cooling the drink cans/bottles. She made the sweetest cake for our 25th-anniversary celebration! Alex was our captain. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke he exuded confidence and you could tell he had done this many times before. I always felt like he was in control of our situation and felt we could depend on him. On our first day snorkeling, he saved my life! I really mean that. I have snorkeled many times before, but when we got into that current, I forgot how to snorkel. Before I knew what happened, I was panicking, out of breath, and thought I was about to do the drowning hand in the air when I heard, "Just float! RELAX and just float." My wife said he immediately started working to get the dingy to me, but it felt like it took forever because of the current, wind conditions, making sure other snorkelers were not in distress. He did not see himself as a hero, but I sure did. This is the kind of protection a captain is to provide. At night we were anchored down and as the sun would rise Alex would set us off to our next destination. Mostly we snorkeled. One guy took a kayak, but it was mostly snorkeling, and after my first day's debacle...I asked for a life jacket for the next day or two and then remembered how to snorkel after that. Go slow, don't fight the current, and RELAX! By the last day, I snorkeled for hours without a floatation device with the professionals :) So, every day we would arrive at an island with something beautiful to see either hiking or snorkeling. Comfortable water shoes are a must. Sandals are good. You'll be barefoot on the boat. Our group really wanted to shop, but there wasn't a lot of shopping to do on this trip. At the marinas, it is more like a convenience store with a few shirts few people want to buy. We didn't spend much money after boarding the boat. The night we came back to Palm Cay to end the trip...we got a taxi to town, but even that was a chore I would not suggest anyone follow. We slept on the boat tied to the pier our first and last night. The next morning, they wanted us off the boat by 9 am I think...so it was okay to get an earlier flight out. By the end of the trip, we just wanted to go home. Nice trip with beautiful sights and lazy living, but ready to go home. So, it rarely rains...but we woke up to our overhead hatch dripping water down the wall and onto our shelf. The caulking had worn out I guess, but it only dripped a couple of hours during the rain. What are you going to do out on the water? I reported it to the captain and assured him that I didn't care because the place we were in was beautiful! Hopefully, they fixed it. The weather in October was not perfect either. We had a lot of clouds and a couple of bouts of rain. Tia and Alex seemed cold in the mornings and evenings outside. It felt like air conditioning to this Southern boy and nobody on the boat had sweaters/jackets on that I recall. The water was warm, but it was brisk in the wind when getting out of the water. Was this trip perfect? No. What is? However, it was perfect for us! Would I suggest it to my friends? I would say the more athletic you are, the more you would like this. Before we took this trip, my wife and I had lost 30+ pounds each and we said a few times on the boat how it would've been a chore were we out of shape and overweight. Most everyone on our boat was young and/or in shape. Yes, I would suggest this for anyone with a content personality. If you're expecting everything to be like new...well, it's a boat for large groups and they pack it every week. Expect some things to be used/worn, and expect a lot of downtime because you're in the middle of the Caribbean Sea on a boat, but expect it to be a trip you'll never forget.

Dream Yacht Charter, or the new name Dream Yacht World, is incredible and I’m amazed it is still in business. We were on our second bareboat with them, the first was excellent. This Bali was in terrible condition. We had a rat on board while in the marina. It was also not the boat I had reserved, but an “upgraded” 45’ cat. The main sail reefing lines were not rigged… at all. The navigation instruments needed rebooted, meaning the boat was not prepared for charter. I feel there is a trend w DYC; unprepared and unsafe boats, substitutions for reserved boats, lack of response to emails, phone calls, maintenance or staff help of any kind once you arrive at the marina and especially after the trip. We did get great help from Pietro, seemingly the only staff who could help w mtc on the boat. Because our trip was so bad, we were offered 3 day’s credit on our next charter(read as “standard”) but I asked for and received 5 days on a 10 or more day charter. We did that…. Should’ve stayed home on our next charter when we used the 5 days’ credit. You will not see DYC or DYWorld Better Business Bureau rated. Look up reviews of this company. Even thru FB, where there is a dedicated group. I did, I should’ve believed. Go elsewhere.

I cannot say enough good things about the Dream Yacht team. I have been sailing my whole life but had never chartered. I always found a way to borrow someone else’s boat or partner on one for a while. This was a totally different experience, and it was fantastic. We booked for 06/01/23 – 06/09/23. I initially contracted for a monohull but then at the last minute reconsidered and asked if I could switch to a catamaran. All it took was an email to Jane Devoe and she responded with what was available and then helped make the switch easy. When it came time to travel, I was able to speak directly with Alex at the base in Palm Cay on Nassau who arranged for our transfer from the airport. The driver stopped at the grocery store on the way to the marina so we could buy provisions. I was traveling with my wife and three children and the process of provisioning and then getting to the boat was safe and convenient. The Bali 4.2 was clean and comfortable when we arrived in the evening. The next morning, we did the orientation. I had never sailed a large catamaran, so I asked a lot of questions which Ryan answered thoroughly, and we didn’t feel rushed in any sense. He even went through some charts they provide and helped us plan our itinerary. Dream Yacht also supplies snorkeling gear, but it was challenging to find fins and a mask that fit my 9-year-old. Ryan patiently took the time to find equipment that fit well before we shoved off. Cruising the Exumas for 7 days barely scratched the surface of that remarkable island chain. The trip was magical, and we’ll do it again. I am sold on the Dream Yacht charter option now. Considering all that goes into maintaining a nice yacht, the prices are quite reasonable for the freedom to show up with the boat ready to go almost anywhere you might want to cruise in the world and then hand it back to a great support team when you return.

We had a fantastic experience… This was our first time as a family on a cruise but the team really helped us to prepare it the best possible way. Special thanks to Jen, Kristen and Nadine for their great support preparing the trip. The cruise itself was amazing, beautiful tour and we were in great hands with skipper Donovan. Safety always came first and his knowledge of the islands allowed us to discover beautiful spots. Not to mention the great food prepared by our lovely hostess. For sure to be done again…

We arrived for a 15 day charter on a 47' Nautitech Power Catamaran. This was a bucket list trip for me, my wife, and another couple. We had been planning this trip for over 3 years. We had our route all planned out and the trip was supposed to cover a big circle that included the Exumas and Eleuthera. This is a trip that we may never be able to do again. When we arrived we were told the boat we chartered wasn't available because of mechanical issues. They didn't have another power cat so they encouraged us to take a sail cat. We tried to remain civil and understanding about things happening. They offered a large 50' sail boat and a smaller 42' sail boat. Problem is we have no sailing experience. We are power boat people. They offered to place a skipper on the boat with us at their cost for the entire trip but that's not something we really wanted. We thought the 50' was too much for us to handle so we ended up on the 42' Bali sail cat. We were assured that after the trip they would work with us and give us significant discounts for our trouble. We made the best of the trip but because of how slow the boat was we made it 25% of our journey. We had a good time and saw some things we wanted to see but only a fraction. The power cat cruises at 15kts, the sail cat cruises at 6kts (we were lucky to get that). All that being said, on our return the base said the all they were authorized to do was refund the cost difference between the boats and we'd have to negotiate with the main office beyond that. That's were things went south. The management refused anything beyond the price difference between the two boats. They made no concessions. I fully expected some sort of discount given DYC's inability to provide the boat or a similar one to the one we booked a year prior. We also were assured we would "be taken care of" after the trip. In hindsight we would have gotten a full refund and chartered later with another charter company. The good: The base personnel were very nice and attentive to our needs. You could tell they were embarrassed and disappointed that we couldn't get the boat they promised. They did all they could do within their power including offer to reimburse us for the fuel we purchased (which the management refused to do). The bad: The management. Please, never charter with this company because of this alone. They're arrogance and refusal to accept any responsibility for their inability to live up to their agreement was sickening. It was "We did all that was required". The boat. While it was fairly sound, and mechanically performed adequately, the ceiling leaked rain on one of the cabin beds. The AC units struggled to keep the cabins below 85 degrees. The main salon had no AC at all. The general condition of the boat was "well used" despite being a '21 model. Summary: Do not charter with this company!!! I cannot speak for The Moorings or Marinemax as I've not chartered with them but I can't imagine it being worse.

Guide to the Abacos Islands

Scenic Gems Of The Bahamas

Reaching over 120 miles, the stunning collection of islands in the Abacos archipelago has continued to attract tourists and luxury superyacht charters for many years.

Touring the Abacos on a yacht charter will allow you to see the many faces that the Bahamas has to offer. Combined with all the spectacular scenery and glorious weather conditions, there are boundless amounts of history, nature and culture to keep you occupied throughout your Abacos tour.

On arrival at the Abacos family chain, make your first port of call the landmark of the islands. The Elbow Reef Lighthouse on Elbow Cay is one of the most magnanimous sights to see in the Abacos and should not be missed. Standing tall at 89 feet you can climb to the top and choose which direction you're going to head next. Before departing to another island take a quick stop at Tahiti beach to catch a glimpse of some sharks.

For more nature excursions, the Land and Sea Park at Pelican Cays offers 2,100 acres of untouched territory filled with birds, fish and many beautiful plants and shrubs. Little Harbour is the place to go if you fancy spotting some porpoises and Great Guana Cay has many native birds including the white crowned pigeon. For animals a little more unusual, travel to No Name Cay to visit the gathering of swimming pigs. Then after sharing your lunch with them, charter across to Whale Cay to see some sea turtles and morays.

Beachcombers love the Abacos with good reason. Visit Treasure Cay to see one of the National Geographic's top 10 beaches in the world. The crescent shaped beach is simply stunning and also lies close by to the only championship golf course in the Abacos chain. Dotted around the 100 other islands you can visit many splendid white sandy beaches and in many cases your footprints will be the only ones left in the sand.

Off the land and in to the waters there are more wrecks and dives than you can count. One of the most famous wrecks in the Abacos archipelago is the USS Adirondack at Man O War Cay. Wrecked in 1862 this location consistently draws crowds of divers every year. The San Jacinto wreck at Whale Cay and the HMS Mermaid at Walkers Cay are also worth exploring.

Aside from the wrecks there are also other sights to see under the warm waters in the Abacos. Green Turtle Cay has some pretty sea gardens a mere 75 yards away from the coast. Home to picturesque coral formations these gardens are a great starting point for learner divers. The Mantilla Reef at Great Abaco is a must see for divers. With inhabitants ranging from snapper and grouper to lobster and billfish there are plenty of reasons to visit this reef.

Example Itinerary for Your Abaco Islands Yacht Charter

Experience the ultimate luxury on a custom yacht charter tailored just for you! Contact us now to plan your dream itinerary.

This is a sample itinerary that might be altered by the captain depending on weather factors or guests’ requests.

Great Guana Cay

We will gently cruise toward Great Guana Cay, dropping anchor off a lovely cay in Fishers Bay. Great Guana is the home of the world famous Nippers Bar, with its equally famous Sunday hog roast. Set against a backdrop of a beautiful Atlantic long white-sand beach, Great Guana Cay is perfect for taking long walks, and those iconic white-sand beach shots that grace the pages of glossy travel magazines. Beachcombing, snorkeling, diving - or just taking a leisurely stroll along the beach - there is something here for everyone.

Treasure Cay

After a lazy morning and a leisurely lunch we will set off for Treasure Cay, listed in National Geographic's Top 10 beaches in the world! The powdery white sand is just incredible. This beach also has every convenience one could desire, including excellent sights, tennis, golf, swimming and even a few shops.

Man 'O' War Cay

In the morning we set sail for Man of War Cay, named after the magnificent frigate birds who soar above it. Man of War Cay has a sleepy, but prosperous, and beautifully maintained settlement. The Albury family, famous for their Bahamian work boats, continue to build both small and larger vessels in the town. Good snorkeling can be found on the ocean side of the island.

Tahiti Beach - Hope Town

Jump straight off the boat and wade through crystal blue waters onto Tahiti Beach. The crystal clear waters are shallow and the sand is very soft - could there be a better way to get to such a beautiful beach? After lunch we sail up to Hope Town, one of the most picturesque harbours in the Bahamas. Dominating the town is the well-photographed, red and white striped lighthouse, one of only three kerosene-lighted, manned lighthouses in the world, and is still used by sailors in the Bahamas. It also provides amazing panoramic views of your cruising grounds. Hope Town is a charming settlement with a wide selection of shops, restaurants, historic museums and homes. Dinner ashore will be at the Harbour's Edge restaurant. They have their own dock and you can pull your boat up next to your table, dine at the water's edge... and the grouper is not to be missed!

South Abacos

We will get up early to sail down to the South of Abaco to find our own secluded island. Spend the day lying on the beach or snorkeling the reef, with its abundance of sea life, or going down deeper for those who want to dive. There is nothing on earth like having an island all to yourself. Spend your early evening drinking cocktails while watching the sunset, enjoy another heavenly dinner onboard, and relax later under the stars. Could you be in paradise - you could well be!

Marsh Harbor

After a delicious breakfast, we head back toward Marsh Harbor, stopping at Matt Lowe's Cay. We enjoy swimming in the Sea of Abaco before heading back to our marina for dinner ashore, and perhaps celebrating our fantastic week with the local people, while listening to local bands nearby.

Departure Day

After breakfast, we swap email addresses and photos and send you home with great memories and anticipation for your next Odyssea sailing vacation.

Customer Reviews

Ally’s food was amazing! Every single meal was delicious! She had snacks prepared when we came back to the boat after morning activities and

fantastic desserts every evening. The drinks Ally and Sarel made us were also delicious! They were creative with the drinks and we always loved them!

Exceeded Expectations

This trip exceeded our expectations by a mile. This was our first experience with a crewed cat and chef and after one day I was wondering why we bareboat sailed all those years, shopping, cooking & cleaning.

Our captain, Florian, was incredibly accommodating. He was so thorough on instructions around the boat and picked a really d iverse itinerary. He also chose anchorages that were within a short swim to excellent snorkeling. He pointed out things to us as we went along and was engaging and a very cheerful fellow.

And Michael his crew and chef made wonderful meals, snacks and desserts and we never had to lift a finger.

All in all it was a dreamy vacation made all the more so by having a well appointed cat, and an excellent captain and chef/crew. We’d follow them around the world if we could.“

All the best

Best Vacation of Our Lives!

All I can say is WOW! I can’t put into words how amazing our week was on Purpose. It was SOOO amazing that I rebooked a follow-up trip while we were on the boat. The boat itself is quite special and has ABSOLUTELY every amenity that one could dream of. It is also IMMACULATELY kept (and I am a neat freak)! While the boat is impressive, Captain Florian and First Mate Mike will blow you away. They both are so personable and warm and go to any extreme to ensure that you are enjoying your time on your “floating home.” Captain Florian must have taken my son on hundreds on water activity excursions and always did it with the biggest smile on his face. Mike’s cooking is first rate and he was very considerate to have meals that fit every passenger’s tastes (a side note- my husband gained 10 pounds)! We are counting the days to our next vacation on our favorite floating home and can’t wait to spend the holidays with our new favorite members of our family- Captain Florian & Mike. Never hesitate to book the Purpose- my memories will carry me a lifetime.

Relaxing sail in Bahamas

We had an amazing sail in the Bahamas on this yacht. The crew were lovely. The weather was amazing. The places we visited were out of this world. We had such an amazing vacation and found the whole experience so relaxing. We will be back.

Truly a beautiful place on earth

Bahamas is a must visit place. Paradise on earth! From the white beaches to the turquoise water. We even swam with turtles. We will be visiting again and again.

Man-O-War Cay

Green turtle cay, great guana cay, treasure cay.

dream yacht charter abacos

For enthusiasts of boating, sailing, fishing, and diving, the lovely islands and cays that constitute the Abacos are a dream come true. The northernmost part of the Bahamas , stretching 120-miles along the calm crystal-clear cerulean blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sea of Abaco, the Abacos feature some of the world’s most beautiful shores, a laid-back beach lifestyle, and an endless amount of seaside pursuits to fulfill your inner escapist fantasies.

The Abaco Islands consist of two main islands: Great Abaco and Little Abaco and a number of picturesque neighboring cays that are tiny and mostly uninhabited. Most yacht charters will begin in Marsh Harbour which serves as the main hub of the Abacos, and from here your options are endless. An idyllic yacht charter destination with plenty to love, whether exploring this tropical paradise from the comfort of a lavish charter mega yacht , sporty charter power boat , chic charter catamaran , or elegant charter sailing yacht , the panoramic beauty of the Abaco Islands is enough to take your breath away.

dream yacht charter abacos

The appeal of Elbow Cay lies in the beauty of its stunning tropical beaches and charming New England feel. In Hope Town, the tiny 6-mile-long island’s largest settlement which is flowered with bougainvillea, you will find quaint shops, museums, and eateries and beautiful pastel-hued saltbox cottages. As most of village is closed to motor vehicles, walking and biking are the main forms of getting around. Worthy of a visit is the peppermint-striped Elbow Reef Lighthouse which was built in 1838. A climb up to the top of this landmark 120-foot lighthouse will welcome you with unparalleled views of the Sea of Abaco and the neighboring cays.

dream yacht charter abacos

It is like taking a trip back in time when visiting the conservative 2½-mi-long Man-O-War Cay. The beaches are lovely and secluded and there are only a handful of shops and restaurants that line the waterfront of this relatively undeveloped island. The capital of The Bahamas’ boat-building industry for more than two centuries, Man-O-War Cay is renowned for the superior workmanship of handcrafted boats. A local specialty that makes for a fashionable gift to take home, are the colorful bags and accessories made by the women of the island from sturdy canvas fabric traditionally used for sails.

dream yacht charter abacos

Green Turtle Cay is a quiet and quaint little island that offers exceptional beaches, lovely secluded inlets, excellent deep-sea fishing and great diving, making for an alluring tropical yacht charter getaway. The English loyalist 18th-century settlement of New Plymouth is big on colonial charm and picturesque crescent-shaped Coco Cay Beach which is lined with casuarina pine trees is the perfect place to bask in the sun. Cocktail aficionados will want to stop by Miss Emily’s Blue Bee Bar to sample the drink that made it famous, the Goombay Smash.

dream yacht charter abacos

Welcoming you as you step ashore to Great Guana Cay is a sign that reads “It’s Better in the Bahamas, but…it’s Gooder in Guana.” With a carefree and fun laidback atmosphere, Great Guana Cay has established itself as the party island of the Abacos and the main attraction here is the famous local hangout Nipper’s. Situated on a bluff overlooking the ocean, spend a lazy Sunday afternoon at their pig roast enjoying live music, great drinks, and quintessential tropical bliss. For sunbathing and snorkeling head to the pristine 5 ½-mile long Atlantic Beach and nearby Fowl Cay Reserve.

dream yacht charter abacos

Treasure Cay is one jaw-dropping beautiful destination that you need to include on your Abacos yacht charter. There are full-service marina facilities, a championship golf course, and “one of the 10 best beaches in the world” as voted by National Geographic. The beach, which stretches 3 ½ miles long and has the softest powdery white sands, truly should not be missed. As the sun goes down, make sure to grab a drink and listen to some live music at the Tipsy Seagull.

With breathtaking cruising grounds, stunning beaches, and a carefree way of life, the Abacos are a luxury island paradise. Chartering a yacht in this blissful Bahamas destination is just about as idyllic as it gets and at Sunreef Yachts Charter, our expert yacht vacation specialists can assist you with planning all of the details so you can enjoy every moment.

dream yacht charter abacos

Considered the ‘boating capital of the Bahamas’, the Abaco Islands form the northern part of this Commonwealth and are located about 180 miles east of the Florida coast. In 2019, Hurricane Dorian directly hit and severely damaged many of the Abacos. The good news especially for this upcoming season is that much of the islands’ infrastructure has been rebuilt and is ready for visitors.

“We are delighted to report that the Abacos have almost completely recovered from Hurricane Dorian, with the majority of shops, restaurants and bars open and operating with full service,” says Patti Gonsalves, who with husband Mark own Cruise Abaco, offer captained and bareboat charters on their nearly dozen vessel fleet, including sailing and power multihulls and sailing monohulls. “Marsh Harbour is almost completely rebuilt. However, we find the beauty and appeal of our island paradise is mostly reflected in the outer Cays where there is so much to see and do.”

The Abacos, grouped into North, Central and South islands, spans 120 miles. There are nearly as many different possible routes for a week’s charter. This sample itinerary will feature a round-trip route from Marsh Harbour. Marsh, in Central Abaco, has good airlift from Florida, plus a wealth of services from accommodations to grocery shopping, laundry, post office and shops. Marsh Harbour is also home to several marinas and charter companies. These include Cruise Abaco, as well as MarineMax Vacations, Dream Yacht Charter, The Moorings and Abaco Yacht & Charter Services.

Day 2: Hope Town, Elbow Cay. It’s an easy 8-mile sail east to Elbow Cay. This is a great fishing area, so be sure to troll a line for a fresh catch. Elbow is an 8-mile-long cay first settled in the late 1700s by British loyalists fleeing the newly created United States. Hope Town is the biggest settlement here, and one of the most famous sights here is of the century-plus-old, red-and-white-striped, 120-foot-tall Elbow Reef Lighthouse. Hike to the top of the light for an incredible view. The town is best explored on foot, or by golf cart, the most popular form of transportation. Those who want to peek into the past can visit the Wyannie Malone Museum, where there are exhibits of the Loyalist era and on the Amerindians and Spanish who arrived here before the British. Enjoy the beaches on Elbow Cay, and either eat on board or in one of the many restaurants ashore.

dream yacht charter abacos

Day 5: Manjack Cay. Two plus miles north, this privately owned and undeveloped island is the northernmost point on this itinerary. This is the spot to play Robinson Crusoe for the day, walking on often deserted beaches, swimming and snorkeling, and shell hunting. Pack a picnic to enjoy ashore.

dream yacht charter abacos

EXPLORE THE NORTH ABACOS The North Abacos are more off the beaten track than their fellow islands Central and South. For example, Walker’s Cay is nearly 100 miles north of Marsh Harbour. Yet, this is an area with spectacular fishing, especially for billfish and bluefin tuna. An investor purchased the Walker’s Cay a couple of years ago, and despite hurricanes and the pandemic, the marina there opened this year. There’s a small airstrip, but no accommodations, restaurants or public facilities.

“This season, we have added a 78-foot Northavn (trawler-style motor yacht) for expedition-style adventure charters to the Northern Abacos,” says Michael Dillon, who with wife Francesca, owns and operates Abaco Yacht & Charter Services, based in Marsh Harbour. “We have PADI crew so guests can get dive certified while on charter. The diving is amazing here, with huge barrier reefs several stories high. That’s what makes the fishing so good as well.”

Charter guests can meet the Nordhavn in Marsh Harbour, then spend a day heading north. Or, the company works with Tropical Ocean Airways, which has a floatplane and can coordinate to fly guests in to meet the boat and get started fishing and diving right away. Grand Bay, Moraine Cay and Spanish Cay are other out-of-the-way islands near Walker’s ripe for exploration and each with its own personality.

Dream Ketcher

As of December 2018, Dream Ketcher has retired from the Regency Fleet and the charter industry.

  • Location: Monohull Yacht
  • Type: Monohull Yacht
  • Price: $4,975 - $5,975

Dream Ketcher is based out of beautiful Treasure Cay, Abaco. The 41ft Morgan Out-Island is offering one of the most affordable fully crewed yacht charters for the Abacos. Dream Ketcher is best suited for 2 adults but can take a family of 4. There is a forward v-berth with private ensuite head and shower. Mid-ship port there is a pull-man sized quarter berth good for a young adult or two children up to age 12. This budget friendly sailing yacht also includes diving from the boat! Captain Eric and Chef/Mate Nathalie are your professional crew aboard Dream Ketcher. Not only is Nathalie Mate and Chef (Her cuisine is strongly influenced by her French heritage but she loves preparing other dishes such as creole and Bahamian as well.) – she is a PADI Dive Instructor and has completed over 150 dives in the Bahamas. The reefs and shipwrecks provide excellent diving around the Abacos. If clients are certified divers, Dream Ketcher offers a maximum of 4 free dives for 2 guests.

Dream Ketchers advantage lies in the fact that they are the only boat living there all year-round for ten years in the same area and offering “Fully Crewed Charters”.

The first pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC hosted an extraordinary exposition of the 5th International exhibition of yachts and boats Moscow Boat Show. The show had been incredibly famous for five years already not only thanks to the specialists of the market segment as well as professional sportsmen but also thanks to those who consider sailing sport to be their hobby and well cherished dream.

Moscow Boat Show 2012

Moscow Boat Show 2012

The organizer of the project was the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. The show was supported by Aston Martin Moscow, Burevestnik Group logistics department and the Yachting specialized magazine.

The exposition space increased up to 30 000 sq m and was accommodated in all 4 exhibition halls of the fairgrounds! 280 Russian (Arkhangelsk, Vyborg, Kazan, Kaluga, Republic of Karelia, Moscow and Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Novorossiysk, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk region, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Yaroslavl region) and foreign ( Denmark , Germany , Holland , Greece , Spain , Italy , Cyprus , China , Latvia , Poland , USA , Turkey , Ukraine, Finland , France , Montenegro and Croatia ) companies participate in the show.

Moscow Boat Show provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the yachting sector, the show continued to complement and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed!

Unique exhibits were presented at the show for the first time: exposition of private submarines from U-Boat Russia company, Marquis Yachts 420 SB motor yacht from Sport Bridge S. Marine series, SAGA-415 yacht from Saga Boats Norwegian shipyard, Jetlev-Flyer from MS Watersports.

Moscow Boat Show a Great Success

More than 400 yachts were displayed within the frames of the event including the largest boats ever exhibited in Russia – the 19-meter giant motor yacht Princess 54 as well as the Princess 50 yacht from Nord Marine and Baja speed boat from Burevestnik.

Domfinland OY unveiled a luxury project from Finnish real estate: a seaside premium class hotel in Hanko named consonant with the location Merihanko.

The trade fair was traditionally opened by a Gala Opening Ceremony. Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, was the first to take the floor at the official opening ceremony. He greeted warmly exhibitors, guests and visitors of Moscow Boat Show. Nikolay Krjuchek, Deputy Chief of the State Inspection on Small size Vessels (GIMS) of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, Georguiy Shaiduko, Acting President of the Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS), Olympic champion in Atlanta and Ekaterina Grishechkina, Director of exhibition Moscow Boat Show also spoke at the ceremony.

The high-ranking guests noted dynamic development of the branch which well reasoned the intensive growth of the exposition and appearance of rather unique “gems”.

A number of business meetings and negotiations were held within the frames of the project: the exhibition was visited by a large delegation of Greek businessmen for the purpose of establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Russian colleagues.

Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS) celebrated its 100 anniversary within the frames of Moscow Boat Show and arranged an exposition of future sailing sport museum (rare awards, gifts, articles from private collections, pictures and etc.) which had been collected since 1912.

Due to carefully chosen running dates the show was visited by more than 26 000 people. The majority of the visitors were of targeted audience – vessel owners and specialists of the branch.

The work at the next edition of the show is under way! The show will be held in March 2013. The overall exhibit space will comprise 40 000 sq m. The exhibition will impress with exclusive exhibits and the latest technological achievements.

Moscow Boat Show was not only an entertaining but at the same time a business promotional event. Participation in the trade fair was a unique opportunity to present a company and products to a distinctly selected targeted audience of industry specialists. They were well prepared to discuss business in the Russian market and even to close a deal on-site.

The show helped representatives of yachting business to get acquainted with their Russian colleagues and gradually improved national yachting market to a new level. It is obvious that for 5 years of its running the project has turned to a status event of the international exhibitions calendar.
