Our family has spent many years vacationing in Tortola but had never chartered until this past New Years. After talking about it for three years, we finally took the plunge and chartered a 48’ sailing catamaran through Voyage Yacht Charters. With our three adult children and two significant others in tow, we decided that cooking and meal prep was the last thing we wanted to deal with while on vacation. A friend convinced us to splurge for a chef. BEST decision ever! We were most fortunate to have chef Danielle aboard who prepared incredible 5-star meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Her professionalism, service and talent is second to none. She managed to navigate food allergies and likes & dislikes without a hitch. We also had the great fortune to meet her significant other, Captain Ryan. Ryan was on charter and happened to be in the same anchorage as us a couple of nights. Not only is he a super nice guy, but his knowledge of the boats and skills also came in handy more than once. Turns out that he’s the reason Danielle joined the Voyage team - well done Ryan! Looking forward to our next charter on the 590 series catamaran with BOTH Chef Danielle and Captain Ryan.

We just returned home from a magical week sailing on "Sol Liv" with Captain James and First Mate, Robyn. They were a perfect duo, providing wonderful hospitality, and being very informative about the islands through which we sailed. In addition to sailing the boat, Captain James was a master-bartender; he created a different "captain's cocktails" (aka "sundowners") each day, even providing the kids with beautiful nonalcoholic versions. And Robyn--she is truly a master chef. The creations that she made were not just visually stunning, but delicious as well. Robyn and James were easy and enjoyable to be around. The four kids on the boat had a blast; in addition to swimming and snorkeling, they had jousting competitions on the paddleboards, and even tried to catch one of the tarpons that orbited the boat at night (no luck). It was truly the best vacation I have ever had.

He had excellent knowledge of snorkel spots and all the local haunts along the way. Claudia’s meals were fantastic and great variety. We hit a lot of spots in 7 days and everyone had a great time. We are seasoned travelers and this was an epic vacation in every way. We highly recommend Voyage! Thank you!

I had the pleasure to sail the BVI’s with Voyage Charters in March. I cannot put into words how wonderful this vacation was but will attempt to do so. Our Captain and Chef are a young couple who worked Professionally and were at all times making sure we were well taken care of. Our Catamaran, “Miles Away,” was roomy enough for our group. The Cabins were adequate for our week’s stay on board. The A/C worked great. Each cabin had it’s own dedicated head and shower and they were fine and roomy enough even for a big guy like me. The food was always fantastic and Danielle was always cognizant of everyone’s dietary needs and likes as well as dislikes. Captain Ryan and Captain Blade (Summer Breeze’s Captain) worked together to sail to the same spots as we had such a large group. The BVI’s are in and of themselves, spectacular, but sharing it with great friends and dynamite Crews made it eleven more so. I highly recommend a vacation with Voyage Charters. They are great. Very accommodating and helpful along the way. They helped keep us abreast with the latest COVID protocols required by the BVI’s, did everything in their power to provision the boats with all our asks. An incredible experience with incredible people! I cannot wait to go back!

Designed by renowned yacht builders Robertson and Caine/ Leopard ; the 51PC (power catamaran) is the pinnacle of cruising perfection. Cruise with power from twin Yanmar 350hp diesel engines while enjoying easy handling from the well-appointed helm station on the fly bridge. When it’s time to unwind, relax in the spacious comfort of this innovative fly bridge, which features an elevated sunbathing platform and large U-shaped seating and table to accommodate all your guests. Enjoy the modern conveniences of a built in stainless steel electric grill, refrigerator, and wet bar all on the flybridge.

Below you’ll find a contemporary and roomy interior, centered around an open-concept main saloon with a panoramic 360-degree view of the surroundings.  The main salon has  plenty of table space for entertaining your entire group. The fully outfitted galley is situated aft, and has perfect access to the aft sliding door to provide a perfect indoor-outdoor space for cooking and entertaining. Next to the central dining area is a navigation station and the unique forward salon door which opens onto a large forward cockpit, offering a great spot to lounge as you look out to the horizon.

Below the main deck, the hulls of the 514 house four beautiful full-sized cabins, each with queen beds. All four cabins have their own en-suite baths, each with separate shower and electric heads, providing a comfortable retreat for all guests.

The aft deck is a diver’s dream; fitted with a huge, custom made bench with a track specifically designed to hold your dive tanks.  This ingenious design makes for easy assembly of scuba gear, allowing divers to put gear on while at a comfortable seating position. 

The stern is fitted with dinghy davits which allow guests the opportunity to cruise the islands with the dinghy raised out of the water, instead of towing it behind the powercat.

The spacious 514PC can accommodate a maximum of 10-12 guests (depending on your guest make up and if using all sleeping spaces), across 4 double cabins, 1 single crew cabin (air conditioned and accessed from the top deck) and a convertible dining salon.  It is not suited for 12 adults and can only accommodate 12 guests if there are kids in the group who will sleep more than 2 together in a cabin. 

Below the main deck, the hulls of the 514 house four beautiful full-sized cabins, each with queen beds.  All four cabins have their own en-suite baths, each with separate shower and electric heads, providing a comfortable retreat for all guests.

The 514 also has a convertible saloon, which offers sleeping arrangements for up to two guests. This space is included as a ‘double berth’ in the maximum capacity of your yacht.

This yacht also has one forepeak sleeping areaswhich is air conditioned.   The port forepeak is accessible through the forward port cabin and a hatch from the top of the hull. It is large enough for one adult and can be closed off from the forward port cabin side to provide separation.  The port forepeak IS included as a ‘single berth’, as well as the dining salon being included as a ‘double berth’ in the maximum capacity count of ’10-11’ on this yacht.

Virgin Islands Entry Regulations

From covid to work permits and business licences.

With the health crisis is almost at an end , Covid regulations in the British Virgin Islands have changed. They have not disappeared, but transferred into a bureaucracy war of work permit and trade licences.

What that means is that your charter starting in USVI might not go to the BVI because the paperwork did not make it through. How can you be sure that your selected yacht has the necessary paperwork to go? That depends on your dates. Consult your preferences with us and we’ll be very direct about where your selected yacht is in terms of feasibility of a BVI charter. Note that the rules are subject to, often very unexpected, changes.

BVI charter guests on vacation are no longer required to register for entry clearance or show proof of travel insurance, regardless of their vaccination status. Also, there is no longer the need to present a COVID-19 test result upon arrival in the British Virgin Islands.

If you’re looking to charter a yacht in the BVI, you’ll want to start your search at least six months out. The main charter season in the BVI spans from December to March, with a peak around Christmas/New Year. Notice the interesting months of April and November, which offer reasonable deals in the British Virgin Islands.

Jost Van Dyke

A beautiful island in the British Virgin Islands, Jost Van Dyke is a must-see for yacht charters looking to experience some of the best scuba diving in the world. The waters around the Jost Van Dyke land are flourishing with marine life- creating an incredible opportunity for snorkeling and other water sports.

Even though it is one of the smallest leeward islands in the  BVI , the yacht charters will be treated to  spectacular scenery  and authentic experiences in Jost Van Dyke. Don’t miss a visit to the Great Harbour Bars of Foxy’s and Ivan’s for a drink, the peaceful energy of Diamond Cay, and the crashing waves of Bubbly Pool.

Virgin Gorda is the third largest island in the British Virgin Islands, with just over 4,000 people. This tiny island is arguably one of the most pristine places in the world, and it makes sense why it has become synonymous with white sand beaches. Loblolly Beach, Bay Beach, and Cow Wreck Beach are not to be missed in BVI yacht charters.
