Rolex Jubilee Bracelet: Complete Guide

Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR

The bracelet on which a watch is on actually plays an important role in how the watch looks and wears.

Over the years, Rolex has made some designs of watches that have become true icons, but over time, Rolex’s bracelets have also come to become loved, iconic, and appreciated watch bracelet thanks to their design, comfort, and look.

In this article, we will focus on the Rolex Jubilee bracelet. Because just like with their watches, Rolex has continuously improved, redesigned, and refined its bracelet in order to be more reliable, more robust, and ultimately, ” perpetual ”.

This goes in line with Rolex as a brand of always trying to perfect and improve. Remember, Rolex is not about revolution, but evolution. This is why the Jubilee bracelet from Rolex today is so much more reliable and robust compared to when it was first launched.

Rolex Jubilee Oyster clasp

Rolex jubilee bracelet: History and background

The Rolex Jubilee bracelet was first launched in 1945. As the name suggests, it was released to celebrate a jubilee. More specifically, in celebration of Rolex’s 40th anniversary. Originally, the Jubilee bracelet was specifically designed for the Datejust line, but as you know, that is not the case today.

Over the years, the Jubilee bracelet has been improved and refined, but in its design, it remains largely unchanged throughout the years. Initially, the Jubilee bracelet was only available in solid gold but eventually came to become offered in two-tone and steel variants. The reason for this is that the President bracelet stepped up and took this place as Rolex’s premier bracelet option when it was released in the 1950s. Today, the Jubilee bracelet is made in all metals except full gold and platinum.

Further on, the Jubilee bracelet was also offered on some of Rolex’s Professional models such as the GMT-Master. This has now come full swing, as Rolex, after a break, now offers professional watches with the Jubilee bracelet. More specifically some of the references in the GMT-Master II range.

Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR

Each Rolex bracelet has its purpose and amongst the options of bracelets, the Jubilee bracelet is a mixture between the Oyster and President bracelet. It is less sporty and more elegant than the Oyster bracelet, but it is also less dressy than the President bracelet.

Over the years, the Jubilee bracelet has been used for a wide variety of watches, but technically, it has always remained the same. Equally so in terms of looks, it still stays very true to the original design. This goes to show just how timeless the Jubilee bracelet design truly is.

Rolex Jubilee bracelet design

The Jubilee bracelet has a five-piece, semi-circular link design, which appears more luxurious and elegant than the Oyster because of having 5 links instead of 3. The increased number of links also means that the Jubilee bracelet catches the light beautifully and almost looks like a piece of jewelry in itself.

Rolex Jubilee bracelet

This design has come to become so iconic that it is a bracelet that you immediately associate with Rolex.

The three middle links on the Jubilee bracelet are polished, and the links on each side are brushed. The sides of the bracelet are polished, and the inside is brushed. The Jubilee bracelet links are flat on the inside, which makes the bracelet sit more snug against the wrist which really is a great design feature.

Rolex Jubilee bracelet reference numbers

Over the years, Rolex has released a number of different Jubilee bracelet references. Each new reference means a new revised and refined bracelet in one way or another. Some updates are more notable than others.

Something that has changed several times over the years is the clasp of the Jubilee bracelet.

Most notable of the Jubilee bracelets are the 7xxx and the 9xxx series with a dozen of end links to match.

The Rolex Jubilee 6251H was the bracelet of choice for the vintage Rolex GMT from its very early beginnings.

Furthermore, the Rolex Jubilee was an option offered on the early Rolex Daytona watches as it could accommodate both the 20mm for the GMT and the 19mm flush fit for the Daytona.

Originally, the first Jubilee bracelet in full gold featured an exposed, flat clasp with the Rolex crown at the top. Following, Rolex changed to smaller, larger, more modern, hidden, and now, the Oyster clasp.

Now, here are some of the reference numbers of the Jubilee bracelets:

  • 62523H Jubilee bracelet
  • 63600 Rolex Super Jubilee. Hidden crown clasp. Fits many sports models such as 16710BLNR.
  • 6251H The 6251H is the older, less robust version of the Jubilee reference 62510H. This is because the links are folded, unlike the 62510H which has solid links.
  • 6252h. Released in the 1960s.

The H at the end of the reference numbers stands for ” Homme ”, as in men.

In 2018 came a huge change to the Jubilee bracelet. Rolex originally offered the GMT-Master on Jubilee or Oyster bracelet, but eventually, Rolex removed the option of Jubilee bracelet for their steel sports models

However, in 2018, Rolex released their latest GMT-Master II in steel with a Pepsi bezel and Jubilee bracelet. Then in 2019, Rolex came to introduce yet another version of the new steel GMT-Master II on the Jubilee; the black and blue bezel version aka the Batman reference 126710BLNR.

With this launch, Rolex also stated that from now on, the GMT-Master II in steel will be  only  available with a jubilee bracelet.

Not only is this a major introduction to use the Jubilee bracelet for sports models, but it also goes to show that the Jubilee bracelet, while timeless, is very much in fashion right now.

Rolex Jubilee bracelet stretch

Probably the most notable issue with Rolex Jubilee bracelets is the immense stretch that they develop over time. This is particularly true for the earliest Jubilee bracelets. Over time, because of wear, the earlier Jubilee bracelets get a lot of stretch, even to the point where you hold the watch’s head on the side, the bracelet does almost a 90-degree turn.

Here is an example of what we mean:

Rolex Jubilee Bracelet: Complete Guide

Photo: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=446594

When a bracelet gets this type of stretch, it not only becomes uncomfortable on the wrist, but the watch slides around on the wrist and doesn’t sit steady. But it is also a danger, as more stretch means even more wear, tear, and stress on the bracelet, which ultimately can mean that it will break. Now, all bracelets will get stretched over time when used, but depending on how they are built, they may get more or less stretch.

As written on Rolexforums:

”The “stretch” isn’t metal bending or weakening, it’s due to friction when the bracelet link pins rotate inside and wear the holes. The more the links move, the more they wear and looser they become. The result is an apparent “stretch”. Wearing your bracelet tight will reduce the movement of the links and reduce the rate of wear compared with if you wear your bracelet loose. Loose-wearing = accelerated wear/stretch.”

The stretch also has to do with dirt, grime, and such being abrasive and wearing the bracelet pins and links where they make contact. This is why, in particular, if you have an older Jubilee bracelet, it is a good idea to clean it with a toothbrush, soap, and warm water.

Note that Rolex does not fix the stretch of a bracelet if you send it in for repair. Instead, they will replace the bracelet.

Now, of course, Rolex has acknowledged this issue, since their goal is to manufacture watches and accessories that will last for generations. But as a matter of fact, the older Jubilee bracelets will barely last for one generation if used regularly. The reason why the earlier Jubilee bracelets got so much stretch is that they did not use solid links, similar to the Oyster bracelets of the time. Instead, the links are folded. The folded links do not provide the same robustness and resistance to wear as solid links.

Rolex Jubilee Bracelet: Complete Guide

Not only are the links folded, but the middle-link structure only consists of two metal ”rings”, which, as you can see in the image, are not very sturdy and robust.

The first step to making more robust Jubilee bracelets is introducing solid links, and this, of course, Rolex has done.

So, what has Rolex done about this issue?

Well, it’s safe to say that the issue with stretch on the Jubilee bracelets has become better and better with each new reference that Rolex has released. One of the major updates to the Jubilee bracelet is when they introduced solid links.

Rolex Jubilee Bracelet: Complete Guide

Another huge update to the most modern Jubilee bracelets is one that not everyone is aware of, and that is that Rolex has implemented ceramic into its links to minimize stretch. It’s something that most people will never find out, but which have a huge effect on the technical functionality of the bracelet and minimizing stretch.

Rolex Oyster bracelet VS Jubilee

This is an interesting comparison, and really, there’s no right or wrong here.

Some people just prefer the sportiness of the Oyster bracelet above the classiness of the Jubilee bracelet, or the other way around.

There’s no denying that the Oyster bracelet is far sportier and more robust than the Jubilee bracelet, so it depends on if you are more towards the dressier, or more towards the sportier side of things.

Both bracelets are of course finished to perfection and have a high feel of quality to them. Prior to the release of the GMT, the Jubilee bracelet was mainly seen as a classy dressier bracelet. But now that it is used on multiple steel sports watches, this perception has changed slightly.

Now, the Jubilee bracelet has proven that it is a perfect all-around bracelet that works all around. The Oyster bracelet, on the other hand, is not perceived as elegant, which makes it less suitable for more dressed-up occasions. Even though, of course, the Submariner, for example, has proven to work with a suit exceptionally well.

At the end of the day, it comes down to preference. Both the Jubilee and Oyster are great bracelets and really comfortable to wear.

Just like Rolex’s watches, the Jubilee bracelet has gotten an iconic place in history and in the world of watch bracelets. And like all of Rolex’s products, it has been iterated, improved, and refined, over the years, in order to be able to offer superior reliability and quality.

Today, the Jubilee bracelet is one of Rolex’s most popular bracelets which finds its way into more and more models from Rolex.

The fact that it was released in 1945 proves that, just like many of Rolex’s watches, they pass the test of time as truly timeless classics.

Yacht-Master

yachtmaster jubilee bracelet

THE WATCH OF THE OPEN SEAS

The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master, the emblematic nautical watch, embodies the privileged ties between Rolex and the world of sailing that stretch back to the 1950s.

Launched in 1992, the Yacht-Master was designed specifically for navigators and skippers. Embodying the rich heritage that has bound Rolex and the world of sailing since the 1950s, this Professional-category watch provides a perfect blend of functionality and nautical style, making it equally at home on and off the water.

AN IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZABLE BEZEL

The Yacht-Master is easily recognized by its bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated bezel made entirely from precious metal (gold or platinum) or fitted with a Cerachrom insert in high-technology ceramic. The raised polished graduations and numerals stand out clearly against a matt background. This characteristic and functional bezel – which enables the wearer to read time intervals, for example, the sailing time between two buoys – plays a full part in creating the unique visual identity of the watch. The bezel can be turned with ease thanks to its knurled edge, which offers excellent grip.

CHROMALIGHT DISPLAY

The Yacht-Master offers great legibility in all circumstances, even in the dark, thanks to its Chromalight display: the large hour markers and broad hands are filled or coated with a luminescent material emitting a long-lasting blue glow – for up to two times longer than traditional phosphorescent materials .

THE YACHT-MASTER, SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER CERTIFIED

Like all Rolex watches, the Yacht-Master is covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification redefined by Rolex in 2015. This exclusive designation attests that every watch leaving the brand’s workshops has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted by Rolex in its own laboratories and according to its own criteria. These certification tests apply to the fully assembled watch, after casing the movement, guaranteeing superlative performance on the wrist in terms of precision, power reserve, waterproofness and self-winding. The Superlative Chronometer status is symbolized by the green seal that comes with every Rolex watch and is coupled with an international five-year guarantee.

The precision of every movement – officially certified as a chronometer by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) – is tested a second time by Rolex after being cased, to ensure that it meets criteria that are far stricter than those of the official certification. The precision of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day – the rate deviation tolerated by the brand for a finished watch is significantly smaller than that accepted by COSC for official certification of the movement alone.

The Superlative Chronometer certification testing is carried out after casing using state-of-the-art equipment specially developed by Rolex and according to an exclusive protocol that simulates the conditions in which a watch is actually worn and more closely represents real-life experience. The entirely automated series of tests also checks the waterproofness, the self-winding capacity and the power reserve of 100 per cent of Rolex watches. These tests systematically complement the qualification testing during development and production, in order to ensure the watches’ reliability, robustness, and resistance to strong magnetic fields and to shocks.

THE OYSTER CASE, SYMBOL OF WATERPROOFNESS

The Yacht-Master’s Oyster case, 37 mm, 40 mm, or 42 mm in diameter and guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet), is a paragon of robustness and reliability. The middle case is crafted from a solid block of Oystersteel, RLX titanium or 18 ct gold. The case back, edged with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed down with a special tool that allows only certified Rolex watchmakers to access the movement. The Triplock winding crown – fitted with a triple waterproofness system – screws down securely against the case. It is protected by an integral crown guard. The crystal, with a Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock for easy reading of the date, is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire and benefits from an anti-reflective coating. The waterproof Oyster case provides optimal protection for the movement it houses.

PERPETUAL CALIBRES 2236 AND 3235

Yacht-Master models are equipped with calibre 2236 (Yacht-Master 37) or calibre 3235 (Yacht-Master 40 and Yacht-Master 42), self-winding mechanical movements entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Consummate demonstrations of technology, these movements carry a number of patents. They offer outstanding performance, particularly in terms of precision, power reserve, convenience and reliability.

Calibre 2236 is fitted with the patented Syloxi hairspring in silicon, manufactured by the brand. In addition to resisting strong magnetic fields, this hairspring offers great stability in the face of temperature variations as well as high resistance to shocks. Its geometry, which is also patented, ensures the movement’s regularity in any position. Calibre 2236 includes a paramagnetic nickel-phosphorus escape wheel.

Calibre 3235 incorporates the patented Chronergy escapement, made of nickel-phosphorus, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability and is also resistant to strong magnetic fields. This movement is fitted with the blue Parachrom hairspring, manufactured by Rolex in a paramagnetic alloy. In addition to resisting strong magnetic fields, this hairspring offers great stability in the face of temperature variations as well as high resistance to shocks. It is equipped with a Rolex overcoil, ensuring the calibre’s regularity in any position.

The oscillator of these two calibres has a balance wheel with variable inertia regulated extremely precisely via gold Microstella nuts. It is held firmly in place by a height-adjustable traversing bridge enabling very stable positioning to increase shock resistance. The oscillator is also mounted on the Rolex-designed, patented high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, further enhancing the movements’ shock resistance.

Calibre 2236 and calibre 3235 are equipped with a self-winding system via a Perpetual rotor, which ensures continuous winding of the mainspring by harnessing the movements of the wrist to provide constant energy. Calibre 2236 offers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours, while the power reserve of calibre 3235 extends to approximately 70 hours thanks to its barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency; moreover, from 2023, its oscillating weight is fitted with an optimized ball bearing.

The Yacht-Master’s movements will be seen only by certified Rolex watchmakers, yet they are beautifully finished and decorated in keeping with the brand’s uncompromising quality standards.

BRACELET AND CLASP: SECURE AND COMFORTABLE

The Rolesium versions (combining Oystersteel and platinum) and the Everose Rolesor versions (combining Oystersteel and Everose gold) of the Yacht-Master 37 and the Yacht-Master 40, as well as the Yacht-Master 42 in RLX titanium, are fitted on a three-piece link Oyster bracelet, equipped with the Easylink comfort extension link. This system, developed by Rolex, allows the wearer to easily increase the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm, for additional comfort in any circumstance. On the Yacht-Master 42 in RLX titanium, the bracelet includes ceramic inserts – designed by Rolex and patented – inside the links to enhance its flexibility and longevity.

The Yacht-Master 37 and Yacht-Master 40 in 18 ct Everose gold, as well as the Yacht-Master 42 in 18 ct yellow or white gold, are fitted on an Oysterflex bracelet equipped with the Rolex Glidelock extension system. This innovative bracelet, developed by Rolex and patented, singularly combines the robustness and reliability of a metal bracelet with the suppleness, comfort and aesthetics of an elastomer strap. It is composed of two flexible, curved metal blades – one for each bracelet section – overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer. Developed by the brand and patented, the Rolex Glidelock is an inventive mechanism comprising a rack located under the clasp cover that enables fine adjustment of the bracelet length, without the use of tools. The Rolex Glidelock on the Oysterflex bracelet has six notches of approximately 2.5 mm each, allowing the bracelet length to be adjusted easily, up to some 15 mm.

The Oyster and Oysterflex bracelets on the Yacht Master models are equipped with an Oysterlock safety clasp, designed by Rolex and patented, which prevents accidental opening.

A Comprehensive Guide to Every Rolex Bracelet Ever Made

Fran

Rolex offers an array of iconic watch models that everyone — even non-enthusiasts — recognises. Case in point: ask someone if he knows about Rolex Submariner or simply bring up “Paul Newman watch”, and you’ll surely get a reaction. Watch models often get the spotlight, don’t they?

It’s not so surprising given that the whole package is, after all, what we’re in for. However, Rolex further upped the game by naming its bracelets! Every Rolex bracelet that ever rolled out carries a name and legacy, popular to many collectors and enthusiasts in more ways than one. The thing is, Rolex never runs out of ways to add flair to its selection of already reliable watches. Every watch — be it a dress watch or a tool watch — has a unique offering. They’re specialised watches for distinctive functions.

From the explorers of the deepest seas to the conquerors of the darkest caves, there’s a Rolex watch for everyone. (In case you’re curious, we suggest you take a look at the Rolex Submariner and the Rolex Explorer II .) To further the selection’s diversity, Rolex introduced various bracelets that changed the way straps are treated at all in the industry.

Importance of Watch Bracelets

Watch bracelets hold more importance than one would think. Of course, the main star of each timepiece is the movement — the vibrations, accuracy, complications. There’s no denying that! However, watches wouldn’t be what they are today without the convenience of bracelets.

A person’s comfort always comes first. Bracelets must not be too tight, too heavy, or too wiggly. That’s why an excellent bracelet matter so much in a watch. A timepiece can only fulfil its duty if it’s securely and comfortably attached to your wrist.

Bracelets also help in asserting a watch’s function. It only makes sense that dive watches have rubber straps. The same goes for other tool watches that require rigid and rugged bracelets that could last expeditions. You wouldn’t want to be stopped in the middle of a dive because of a little scratch on your gold bracelet, would you?

Watches, at the end of the day, are still accessories. While they’re more functional, fashionability doesn’t hurt when it comes to timepieces. That’s why watch companies, like Rolex, take great care and consideration when it comes to straps and bracelets. True enough, Rolex bracelets don’t only represent the brand’s craftsmanship but also show how they can cater to various styles.

So, what sets each Rolex bracelet apart? Read on to find out.

Every Rolex Bracelet Ever Made

Rolex bracelets have evolved just as well as the brand’s watches did. Rolex holds great pride in its bracelets just as much as well — from Jubilee to President and Oyster. You’ll also learn more about the Pearlmaster, the Integrated bracelets, and of course, the Oysterflex. What do these bracelets have in common and which watches do they come with?

1. Rolex Jubilee Bracelet

The Jubilee is a classic bracelet that any watch enthusiast knows about. It’s not only a popular Rolex choice but also something that even other brands use. First seen in 1945, the Jubilee bracelet made its debut alongside the Rolex Datejust . The new timepiece and bracelet marked the 40th anniversary of the brand. Today, we know the Datejust as the world’s first chronometer wristwatch with a date window featured on the dial. You can guess where the bracelet’s name came from.

Aside from this, the Jubilee also became Rolex’s first in-house bracelet and therefore jumpstarted the brand’s overall in-house production of bracelets. While most brands source bracelets from bracelet manufacturers or suppliers, Rolex upped the game by making their own. However, the company outsourced some parts of the overall composition from specialists, even to this day. We can find Jubilee bracelets made in countries such as Mexico or the USA. They usually come with oval-shaped links.

The bracelet appears with a five-link piece design with three rows of small centre links and two rows of larger links on either side. The bracelet looks grand that it fits the dressier timepieces such as the Rolex Datejust. If you compare the first Jubilee to the modern-day iteration of the bracelet, you wouldn’t find much of a difference. Some of the most notable improvements made throughout its existence include the oval link, folded links, solid links, and D-shaped links.

It launched in solid gold but today, it comes with various material or metal options and even sizes. Aside from steel, the bracelet is also available in rose gold and steel, yellow gold and steel, rose gold, platinum, yellow gold, as well as white gold. You can find Rolex Datejust watches or the Rolex GMT Master  attached to a Jubilee bracelet.

2. Rolex President Bracelet

Rolex continued to produce dress watches that collectors and enthusiasts vie for. After the success of the Datejust, it was only timely to release the Rolex Day-Date in 1956. The Day-Date proved itself iconic for its design. The watch is the first automatic watch to have a date window and a day window spelt out on the dial. It easily became Rolex’s new flagship watch that immediately met with great success. The watch screamed opulence from every angle: the precious metals and of course the new bracelet that came with it — the Rolex President bracelet.

The President bracelet can be seen as a three-piece link metal bracelet with its links shaped in a circular manner. The centre links look wider with two thinner rows on each side. It can only be seen on the Day-Date watches of today as well as on the Rolex Lady-Datejust and mid-size Datejust timepieces. You can find a President Rolex bracelet in yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, as well as platinum.

3. Rolex Oyster Bracelet

The Rolex Oyster Bracelet has been Rolex’s pride since the 1930s and to this day proves to be the most popular bracelet from the brand. It’s impossible not to associate the Oyster to Rolex as the brand patented the design as early as 1947. A year later, in 1948, the bracelet made its official Rolex launch. However, its beginnings — as mentioned — didn’t all start at Rolex’s home base. In fact, it began with Rolex’s bracelet manufacturer Gay Frères.

Up until 1998, Gay Frères manufactured bracelets for Rolex. Then, Rolex bought the company to take full control of its manufacture from movement to bracelets. Upon its launch, the Oyster wasn’t as popular as expected. Even Rolex knows that it’s not as grand as the other bracelets in its catalogue.

The modern-day Oyster bracelet looks pretty different from its predecessor. Arguably, it now looks more polished and grander than ever. The bracelet is a three-piece link metal bracelet with a wider row of centre links with two rows of thinner links on each side. It’s not circular in shape like the Presidential bracelet. It, in fact, has always been flat. The evolutions didn’t change that.

The Rolex Oyster bracelet can be seen in most Rolex sports watches including the Rolex Oyster Perpetual collection. Aside from this, other tool watches used the Oyster as the bracelet. However, as time and evolution required it, the Oyster bracelet began donning the watch heads of the Datejust, Day-Date as well as the Rolex Sky-Dweller timepieces. Every Rolex clasp you can think of fits the bracelet, that’s why a lot of people find it easy to use — Oysterclasp, Oysterlock, and even Crownclasp. Not to mention, the Easylink comfort extension makes it easier to use even with a wet suit on. To further the bracelet’s flexibility, even various clasp versions, are made available for use on the Oyster bracelet.

It’s available in steel, various gold, as well as two-tone steel and gold combinations and even platinum.

4. Rolex Pearlmaster Bracelet

The Rolex Pearlmaster watch was launched in 1992 and together with it, the Pearlmaster bracelet was introduced as well. It’s a five-piece link metal bracelet that is slightly rounded despite being described as flat. Two slimmer links sandwich the larger centre links.

The beautiful thing about the Rolex Pearlmaster bracelet is the usual diamonds or gemstones set on platinum or gold. It can be seen, as aforementioned, on the Pearlmaster watch but some Day-Date Masterpiece also dons the bracelet. That’s why most people refer to this bracelet as the Masterpiece bracelet.

Pearlmaster Bracelet Codes

  • 72845, 72848, 72849: 17mm in width as seen on Rolex Pearlmaster 34
  • 44745, 42745, 42749: 20mm in width as seen on Rolex Pearlmaster 39

5. Rolex Oysterflex Bracelet

Everyone paid attention as the brand rolled out the new Rolex Yacht-Master watch in Everose gold at the Baselworld back in 2015. Aside from the stunning proprietary pink gold alloy’s launch, Rolex also introduced with it a new bracelet that we know today as the Oysterflex.

It may look like your usual rubber strap but the Oysterflex is a complex bracelet in itself. Firstly, it has titanium as well as nickel alloy metal blade in its core. Wrapped around that is the black elastomer. This makes the bracelet just as light and comfortable as a rubber strap but with more airflow as well as durability and stability.

The Oysterflex comes in six different lengths — categorised from C to H — and two different widths. Right now, you’ll be able to pair your Rolex Oysterflex with the gold versions of the Yacht-Master and the Rolex Daytona .

Oysterflex Bracelet Codes

  • 350557: 20 mm in width as seen on Rolex Yacht-Master 40 and Rolex Daytona
  • 350501: 18 mm in width as seen on Yacht-Master 37

Final Thoughts

Rolex bracelets are part of the brand’s legacy. They’re one of the reasons why fans and enthusiasts adore the brand. They’re comfortable and provide just as much elegance as the watch heads. It’s also important to know the codes on each watch to help you know whether you’re holding a genuine Rolex in your hand. These little numbers don’t just come randomly with the bracelet. If you’re new to buying pre-loved Rolexes, it’s best to consult a specialist or take a quick look at the list on this page for reference.

We can’t get enough of Rolex and we understand how you can’t, too. If you’re a fan of the vintage, check out our guide to buying a vintage Rolex watch .

Nice watch perfect in all style worth it in the prize

This watch is a conversation piece, and it is really desired by many. It’s a solid investment. It blends perfectly and can be used in casual and formal situations. Also, the GMT function is really useful to track diferente time zones, and the markings of the bezel can be used to track intermittent fasting for example.

What makes this watch so expensive as much as over two million dollars?

Finding a GMT Pepsi is not an easy task, you can wait years on an AD waiting list, or buy pre owned. After my first 2 purchases from Bob's , I had the utmost confidence in making this purchase. The watch is a 2021, came with Box, booklet, hang tags, and a signed warranty card, its a beauty. Buying from Bo's is a breeze. Find the watch you love, pay via bank wire, and they ship the watch overnight to your door.

Light Sporty practical comfortable Bracelet 72 hrs reserve

Ive been looking for a newer "Pepsi" GMT for some time. BObs is known for great service and they stand behind their product. This isnt the first purchase with them and it wont be the last. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

The hottest hardest to get Rolex steel sports watch to my doorstep less than 24 hrs. Perfect condition. Though listed as previously worn, but excellent condition. I could not even find the tiniest scratch or defect. Bob’s saw to it that even the local time and 24 hr GMT hand were set accurately when the watch arrived.

Love the look of the Pepsi and its function as a travel watch including 3 separate time zones and compass feature... I trust Bobs which is huge since Trust means everything! Love the transparency of pricing and your business model...

Beautiful timepiece and all the features were as advertised! I was nervous buying this over the internet but it was incredibly easy!

The art of command

The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II in Oystersteel with an Oyster bracelet and a bidirectional rotatable bezel with a blue Cerachrom insert .

Ring command bezel, a synchronized countdown.

Rolex achieved perfection when it turned its attention to redefining the purpose and functionality of the bezel. Typically, a bezel operates independently from the internal mechanism; however, the Ring Command bezel in the Yacht-Master II regatta chronograph operates in conjunction with it.

As a mechanical component linked to the movement, the bezel literally acts as the key to the programmable countdown, allowing it to be set and synchronised to the sequence of race start times. Complex in design, but simple in use, it is functionally beautiful.

A characteristic aesthetic

The Yacht-Master II is equipped with a new dial, and new hands that are characteristic of Rolex Professional models, enhancing legibility and sharpening its aesthetic appeal. The dial now features a triangular hour marker at 12 o’clock and a rectangular hour marker at 6 o’clock for more intuitive reading of the watch.

A luminescent disc on the hour hand clearly distinguishes it from the minute hand. The Yacht-Master II’s countdown can be programmed for a duration of between 1 and 10 minutes. The programming is memorized by the mechanism so that at a reset it returns to the previous setting. Once launched, the countdown can be synchronized on the fly to match the official race countdown.

Oystersteel

Highly resistant to corrosion

Rolex uses Oystersteel for its steel watch cases. Specially developed by the brand, Oystersteel belongs to the 904L steel family, alloys most commonly used in high-technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential.

Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional finish once polished and maintains its beauty even in the harshest environments.

The Oyster bracelet

Alchemy of form and function.

The Oyster bracelet is a perfect alchemy of form and function, aesthetics and technology, designed to be both robust and comfortable. It is equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp, which prevents accidental opening and the Easylink comfort extension link, also exclusive to Rolex.

This ingenious system allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm, providing additional comfort in any circumstance.

  5. Does it look good? (Yacht Master + Jubilee Bracelet) : r/rolex

The esthetics of this makes so much more sense than the oyster steel bracelet. I prefer the oyster on the BLNR. I love the Pepsi GMT with the jubilee. I think this is a good possibility. It goes so well with the bezel fluting. As any AD will tell you the fluted bezel on the date just is a better sale than a smooth bezel with a jubilee.
