1st WINGSAIL series production yacht in the world!

The OceanWings32 - by Ayro© - was initially developed for Team Oracle, for the America’s Cup 2010 in Valencia. Over years, it has further been developed and automated by VPLP and was installed on Energy Observer in 2019. Two years of field feedback have allowed the Ayro team to fine tune the algorithm commanding the wingsail. The ZEN50 is the first series production leisure craft to be equipped with this fully automated wingsail. It is controlled at the touch of a finger on screens, is automatically adjusted and has several safety modes and features. The two parts of the wingsail can be hoisted and lowered independently and with the simple touch of a button. The wingsail OceanWings32 is the ideal complement for the solar roof for those wishing to cruise long distances off-shore with zero-emissions.

Greatest ratio SOLAR POWER / weight on the market

At 17 tonnes lightweight and 18,000 W of peak solar power, the ratio of the ZEN50 is at over 1 kW per displaced tonne of water or beyond 1:1 which is far beyond any other blue water CE Cat A yacht in this size range. Lots of solar power for little water to displace is the strong and healthy foundation the energy self-sufficient ZEN50 is built upon.

Performance CARBON sandwich hulls

The hulls of the ZEN50 have been designed from a blank screen for ultimate efficiency - understand minimum drag or minimal energy consumption for a range of speeds from 6 to 10 knots. Their shape is aggressive, sharp and slender. Their reverse bows cut through water like a sword cuts through butter and their curvature is reminiscent of graceful dolphin bodies. These hulls are undoubtedly of the performance type and are built with the best available composites: Carbon fibre and Corecell™. The combination of high strength, low weight and performance design allow the ZEN50 to reach speeds of up to 14 knots.

INFINITE range at high CONTINUOUS speeds

With maximized solar and wind power and minimized energy consumption… the ZEN50 can sail continuously at speeds varying between 6 and 10 knots. Thorough simulations in various sea states and weather system have consistently shown the ZEN50 will be able to achieve performance catamaran speeds continuously without using a genset. With the ZEN50, the world is your oyster and the wildest destinations are within your reach with this self-reliant vessel!

True ZERO-EMISSION operation

The first ZEN50 unit, whose construction started in March 2023, will not be equipped with a genset at all and will not have any fossil fuels onboard. The ZEN50 energy system with its very large capacity 160 kWh battery bank, has been designed to function for days in complete safety with minimal solar energy harvest and no wind. It is perfectly safe with no backup genset and operates 24/7 without any polluting emissions.

NO FUEL , no costs

Naturally, requiring no fuel to operate day in day out is great news for the environment, it is also fantastic news when sailing into remote areas where fuel bunkering might be near impossible or where the fuel quality might be an issue. Finally, it also makes a massive difference in this yacht’s costs of operation. Imagine the hundreds of liters of diesel saved over just a week, the obsolete engine maintenance schedules, the clogged filters and dirty tanks from another age… Welcome to a new burden-free, energy self-sufficient era, welcome to clean and graceful eco-yachting, welcome to ZEN Yachts.

Highest SAFETY & reliability

At ZEN Yachts, we have made some design choices to attain energy self-reliance with the ZEN50 that reduces the habitable volume in the hulls, similar to performance catamarans. Where we have not and will never compromise is on safety. Our main voltage system is 48V making it perfectly safe to work on. The level of redundancy of the batteries and solar panels is 10! The main electrical architecture is split in 2 so that should anything happen on 1 hull, the entire vessel can still operate normally. There are 2 independent helm stations and the ZEN50 is packed with special safety features, nonsubmersible compartments and we can even offer an in-depth practical course on safety equipment usage and management. Sailing with the ZEN50 is not only exhilarating and clean, it is ultra safe!

The ZEN50 offers the speeds of a performance catamaran, the comfort of a large motor yacht and the simplicity of an electric car. Silent-Yachts a Fano col primo catamarano elettrico “italiano”

Con Silent-Yachts l’Italia diventa un centro di produzione internazionale dei catamarani e dei tender elettrici e solari. Anticipato nei mesi scorsi ( leggi ) ora è in acqua il primo Silent 60 prodotto nel cantiere di Fano. Una barca importante con 42 pannelli solari per 16 kWp di energia solare che alimentano una batteria da 210 kWh e due motori elettrici da 250 kW per un’autonomia da 100 miglia nautiche.

Dall’Austria alle Marche con uno stabilimento da 22mila metri quadrati e oltre 250 lavoratori

La notizia è interessante sotto il profilo economico e occupazionale visto che si è riusciti ad attrarre un produttore austriaco che a Fano, nelle Marche, ha rilevato  22.000 metri quadrati con cinque siti produttivi e offre lavoro a 250 persone . Numeri interessanti per una produzione quasi tutta elettrica – 7 catamarani full electric e uno solo ibrido più un gommone e un tender elettrici – come sottolinea Michael Köhler , il fondatore di Silent-Yachts: “ A Fano, su un’area di 22.000 metri quadrati, abbiamo altri cinque siti produttivi completamente attrezzati per la costruzione e l’allestimento delle nostre barche “.

A gonfie vele: “ Dopo una prima fase di start up e ristrutturazione, la crescita è stata esponenziale. Nel 2022 abbiamo triplicato il numero dei dipendenti e abbiamo investito molto in infrastrutture e macchinari ”.

Un centro ricerche per l’elettrico solare

Produzione ma anche ricerca con l’avvio del Centre for Research & Development per lo sviluppo di nuove tecnologie. Un bel colpo per Fano.

Il centro ha l’obiettivo di attrarre talenti “altamente qualificati nell’ambito dell’industria nautica e confermare la propria posizione di leadership come produttore di yacht di lusso ecosostenibili senza compromessi”.

Il cantiere ha anche sviluppato una rete di fornitori e appaltatori, con “ particolare attenzione alle collaborazioni con le aziende locali “ e da dicembre scorso è  affiliato a Confindustria.

Silent 60  naviga anche con il sole

Il nuovo Silent 60 è rivestito con 42 pannelli solari per 16 kWp di energia solare che alimentano due motori elettrici da 250 kW grazie a una batteria con capacità fino a 210 kWh. Per il cantiere “ sarà in grado di navigare in modo efficiente e a emissioni zero solo con l’energia solare, fino a 100 miglia nautiche al giorno per settimane “.

La velocità di crociera è di 6-8 nodi , ma  può raggiungere fino a 18 nodi con la motorizzazione più potente disponibile (2 x 340 kW) mentre il Silent 60 appena varato con i 2 motori da 250 kW può raggiungere  una velocità massima di 14 nodi .

Il catamarano  offre quattro cabine ospiti sul ponte inferiore (i diversi layout permettono di avere fino a sei cabine + una cabina equipaggio), inclusa una spaziosa suite armatoriale a prua. Forte attenzione agli spazi sociali: un ampio salone principale, il pozzetto di poppa, l’area di prua e il flybridge. Le altezze a bordo, raggiungono, nel salone principale, 2,32 metri.

Altri elementi sottolineati dall’armatore: “ Grazie a un pescaggio inferiore a 1 metro, il Silent 60 può accedere a baie poco profonde : un aspetto cruciale per le crociere ai Caraibi e nel sud-est asiatico. Due plancette a poppa possono essere estese, su richiesta dell’armatore, per trasportare due moto d’acqua elettriche . La piattaforma idraulica di sollevamento tra le due piattaforme può trasportare un tender di 4 metri “.

Programmi futuri: i Silent 60, il primo Silent 62 e il tender

Si annuncia un gran lavoro per Silent-Yachts Italia: “ I prossimi mesi saranno molto impegnativi. Nel 2023 saranno consegnati molti altri modelli della serie Silent 60, incluso il primo Silent 62 a 3 ponti “.

E oltre ai catamarani, spazio al tender ( leggi qui ): “ Abbiamo iniziato a produrre sempre a Fano anche la nuova serie Silent Tender ”, ha sottolineato  Köhler.

100 miglia nautiche di autonomia permettono di girare in Adriatico in tranquillità da costa italiana a costa croata…e avanza. Credo che la nautica elettrica sia convincente…

e poi ha i pannelli , 16 kwp , non sono pochi ,mettiamo che siamo male esposti d’estate mettiamo che producano bene solo col sole allo zenith per 3 ore sono comunque 50 kwh di energia ci puoi fare il giro del mediterraneo da giugno a settembre , basta fare tappe di qualche giorno per ricarcarle in maniera ottimale

Varato a Pisa il maxi yacht Seawolf X, un catamarano ibrido-elettrico green con innovazioni tecnologiche e sistema di intelligenza artificiale a bordo.

È stato varato sabato nel cantiere Rossinavi della darsena pisana il maxi yacht Seawolf X, un gioiello del mare a grandissima vocazione green. Si tratta di un catamarano ibrido-elettrico disegnato da Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, mentre lo studio newyorkese Meyer Davis Studio è responsabile della progettazione degli interni, con l’etichetta Blue, la nuova filosofia sostenibile del cantiere. Seawolf X, di proprietà di un armatore danese, è un’imbarcazione unica che combina un design accattivante con soluzioni rispettose dell’ambiente. Tre infatti gli scenari di prestazioni previste: "Nella gita di un giorno - ha detto Claudio Rossi, presidente di Rossinavi e del gruppo nautica dell’Unione industriale pisana - il catamarano è in grado di navigare in modalità completamente elettrica per il 100% del tempo. Nei viaggi di più giorni il catamarano può navigare in modalità elettrica per il 90% del tempo e il viaggio transatlantico consente al catamarano di navigare nell’oceano per l’80% del tempo in modalità elettrica. La modalità Ibernazione, che si attiva quando il catamarano è ormeggiato, riduce al minimo i consumi e l’energia raccolta attraverso i pannelli solari può essere restituita alla banchina o ad una proprietà privata".

"Seawolf X fornisce energia sufficiente per ricaricare un’intera villa – continua il presidente Rossi –, grazie a due generatori diesel in grado di ricaricare rapidamente le batterie, tramite una presa da terra in sole 5 ore". Dopo anni di studio e costruzione. ha aggiunto Federico Rossi, direttore generale di Rossinavi, "è ora per noi motivo di soddisfazione assistere al varo della prima imbarcazione multiscafo ibrido-elettrico: questo yacht presenta notevoli innovazioni tecnologiche sia nella gestione della potenza e tecnologie di propulsione, segnando l’inizio di un nuovo capitolo nelle navi di prossima generazione: abbiamo infatti sviluppato un sistema di intelligenza artificiale di bordo, chiamato Rossinavi AI, per migliorare il comfort e massimizzare il potenziale ecologico dello yacht". L’intelligenza artificiale analizza costantemente il funzionamento della nave: è un cervello che può imparare dall’osservazione e prevedere i bisogni degli ospiti a bordo e che dialoga continuamente con i membri dell’equipaggio nelle modalità consentite, consigliando loro di favorire comportamenti a minor impatto ed educandoli a una navigazione consapevole. Il software è inoltre in grado di monitorare il pacco batteria per mantenerlo in un range compreso tra il 20 e l’80%, ideale per garantirne una maggiore longevità, oltre a supervisionare e interagire con l’equipaggio.

WiderCat 92: il catamarano con propulsione ibrida ed energia solare

Il WiderCat 92, l’innovativo catamarano realizzato da Wider, è pronto a debuttare al Salone Nautico di Venezia 2024. Questa première italiana è una speciale anticipazione del debutto mondiale, previsto al Cannes Yachting Festival il prossimo settembre.

Il WiderCat 92 combina un design raffinato con tecnologie sostenibili. Questo catamarano di 28 metri , frutto della collaborazione tra Luca Dini Design e il Centro Stile Wider, è dotato di un sistema di propulsione ibrida avanzato e pannelli solari per una navigazione efficiente e a zero emissioni.

Con un layout che valorizza sia gli spazi interni che esterni e un approccio concentrato sulla sostenibilità, il WiderCat 92 stabilisce nuovi standard di eleganza, comfort e rispetto ambientale nel settore nautico. La nautica entra così in una nuova era con il lancio del WiderCat 92 .

WiderCat 92: il video

Progettato e costruito nella sede Wider a Fano, il WiderCat 92 è il risultato di una collaborazione tra Luca Dini Design e il Centro Stile Wider. Questo catamarano non solo si distingue per la sua perfetta integrazione tra spazi interni ed esterni, ma anche per le sue caratteristiche tecnologiche all’avanguardia.

La configurazione interna del WiderCat 92 è tanto sofisticata quanto funzionale. L’unità numero uno del modello vanta due ampie cabine VIP e una cabina ospiti con letti gemelli , situate sul ponte inferiore. Il ponte principale accoglie una lussuosa suite armatoriale con lounge privata, che occupa quasi metà dello spazio a bordo. In aggiunta, il catamarano offre un’opzione di layout a quattro cabine oltre a quella armatoriale , con una cucina strategicamente posizionata per la massima comodità.

Il design esterno del WiderCat 92 non è da meno. Il pozzetto di poppa sul ponte principale offre una vista mozzafiato attraverso ampie finestrature, mentre il ponte superiore include un ulteriore pozzetto di prua, un salone panoramico e la timoneria . Il garage per il tender, trasformabile in un’ampia spiaggia di poppa , arricchisce l’esperienza di navigazione, completata da paratie abbattibili che fungono da accesso al Beach Club e nascondono i vani portaoggetti.

Sul fronte tecnologico, il WiderCat 92 è un capolavoro di ingegneria nautica. Dotato di un sistema avanzato di propulsione ibrida, il catamarano possiede due motori elettrici da 500 kW ciascuno per la propulsione e due generatori a velocità variabile da 349 kW per la produzione di energia elettrica.

Questo sistema è alimentato da 30 batterie LiFePO4 , gestite da un sofisticato sistema di gestione delle batterie che assicura un monitoraggio continuo e un equilibrio intelligente della carica.  I generatori del WiderCat 92 lavorano con un consumo minimo di energia, consentendo la navigazione in modalità Zero Emission Mode fino a 27 miglia nautiche a 6 nodi , oppure un’autonomia di 14 ore in modalità ancoraggio .

Inoltre, 150 mq di pannelli solari assicurano autosufficienza energetica durante l’ormeggio , con l’energia in eccesso immagazzinata per l’utilizzo notturno. Questa combinazione di tecnologia ibrida ed energia solare non solo riduce lo stress sui motori e i consumi di carburante, ma contribuisce anche a un’esperienza di navigazione più sostenibile e confortevole.

ME-RC50 Manual

The ME-RC is designed to be simple to use while offering multiple functions in one place.

Easy-to-read:  The large LCD screen and at-a-glance LEDs display the inverter / charger status in a straight-forward way. Soft keys give simple access to menus and a rotary encoder knob makes it easy to quickly scroll through menus and select settings.

Non-volatile memory : Critical settings are saved even if the power is disconnected.

No cross platform confusion:  The ME-RC remote is the same remote used on all Magnum inverter / charger models in the ME, MS, MS-PAE, RD, MM, and the MMS Series lines.

Multiple functional settings:  The ME-RC offers multiple functions in one place, including: inverter on/off, charger on/off, shore power breaker settings, AGS control, meter button, simple setup, and technical menus.

A standard 50’ 4-wire, twisted pair cable allows for plenty of room to display the Remote with ease.

Torna il Salone nautico di Venezia, tra Marco Polo e la Biennale dell’Arte

La rassegna apre all’Arsenale il 29 maggio, sino al 2 giugno. Oltre trecento barche presenti e 270 espositori. Quindici anteprime mondiali. Azimut Yachts porta il 60’ della nuova gamma Seadeck, Riva mette in vetrina El-Iseo, Wider punta sul catamarano Wider Cat 92

Torna il Salone Nautico di Venezia. La rassegna, che ha sin dalla prima ora puntato sul tgema della sostenibilità sul mare, apre il 29 maggio (sino al 2 giugno) nell’Arsenale con oltre 300 imbarcazioni (240 in acqua) e 270 aziende presenti. Trenta i nuovi cantieri che espongono e 15 première mondiali. Il Salone si snoderà in 30.000 mq tra gli spazi espositivi esterni e le Tese cinquecentesche.

In memoria di Marco Polo

“Il Salone di quest’anno si affianca alle celebrazioni per i 700 anni dalla morte di Marco Polo, che ci ricordano le sue gesta ma anche quanto Venezia fosse inclusiva e capace di pensare in grande – dice il sindaco di Venezia, Luigi Brignaro -. Il Salone Nautico non è solo mercato, è anche e soprattutto un momento di scambio di saperi, di conoscenze di lavoro e di attenzione alla sostenibilità grazie agli approfondimenti sul tema del mare e su come preservarlo, dell’acqua che è vita, sulla natura. Il Salone è anche una grande festa: del remo, della voga, della vela al terzo, un omaggio alle nostre tradizioni per ricordarci che c’è un Marco Polo in tutti noi”.

Nell’elenco degli espositori ci sono i principali player italiani., come Azimut Benetti, Sanlorenzo, Ferretti Group, Solaris Yachts, Rizzardi, Pardo, Sessa, Tornado, Absolute, FIM e Wider, nonché oltre 50 cantieri ed espositori veneziani, tra i quali numerose eccellenze dell’artigianato cantieristico tradizionale della laguna. Gli espositori internazionali sono 54 (20% del totale), principalmente provenienti da Regno Unito, Croazia, Slovenia, Polonia, Spagna, Francia, Germania, Austria, Svezia, Danimarca, Finlandia. Torna al Salone il cantiere inglese Sunseeker, che taglia il traguardo dei 55 anni dalla fondazione, e porta Ocean 182 e Manhattan 55.

Ferretti Group propone a marchio Custom Line la nuova Navetta 38, che sarà anche l’ammiraglia tra le barche a motore, oltre a Infinito 90. Azimut Benetti ormeggia sotto la Torre di Porta Nuova il nuovo Seadeck 6, la gamma orientata alla sostenibilità e all’abbattimento dei consumi (“Seadeck è la prima serie ibrida al mondo e testimonia che, grazie a un approccio che integra il meglio delle tecnologie disponibili, è possibile fare la differenza qui e ora, non solo su singoli modelli ma anche su produzioni importanti in termini di numeri”, ha detto Giovanna Vitelli, la presidente del gruppo, durante la conferenza stampa di presentazione del Salone). Sanlorenzo mette in mostra BlueGame e SD 96 sotto l’installazione artistica di Lorenzo Quinn. Wider esporrà in anteprima il nuovo catamarano Wider Cat 92, lungo 28 metri.

Tra le novità, un’innovativa barca elettrica, la 850 Fantom Air, dove l’’innovativo design del cantiere Frauscher incontra la vena artistica della tecnologia e-drive di Porsche. Riva porta El-Iseo, il primo motoscafo Riva full electric; sempre in tema di navigazione sostenibile il cantiere Silent porta il suo Silent Yacht 14 full electric e il cantiere De Antonio il nuovo E23, un catamarano cento per cento elettrico, Marian boat presenta la nuova 800R. Dall’estero Astondoa, Green Line, Prestige, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Saxdor, Axopard, Nimbus...

Al pontile P3 la vela è protagonista con 30 imbarcazioni dai 10 ai 25 metri: Lagoon, Nautor Swan, Solaris, Grand Soleil, Elan, More, Arcona, Salona, Hallberg Rassy, Pegasus, Bavaria, Itacatamarans, Jeanneau, Beneteau, Pogo. Ammiraglia della produzione contemporanea a vela sarà il Jeanneau Yacht 65, che porterà anche il modello 60. Presente Solaris con i modelli di fascia superiore 40 e 50. Nautor Swan torna al Salone con il modello 58. Dalla Francia arriva il Pogo 9,5 ed è atteso il 44 del cantiere Hallberg-Rassy e i nuovi modelli Bavaria 38-42-46.

Grande presenza anche del segmento dei gommoni dai 4 ai 16 metri.

Grande novità dell’edizione 2024 sarà il Wood Village: un’area internamente dedicata alle barche in legno a motore costruite dai cantieri veneziani secondo tecniche e strumenti antichi della tradizione artigianale della lavorazione del legno per dare visibilità alle eccellenze del territorio. In totale 20 imbarcazioni, di varie dimensioni, realizzate dai cantieri Giovanni Da Ponte, Falegnameria Artigiana Pesce, Andrea Zane, Serenella, Crosera, Associazione culturale barche in legno Dalla Pietà, Venmar.

Il bilancio 2023

Nel 2023 durante i 5 giorni di Salone – fa sapere l’organizzazione – sono arrivati da tutto il bacino dell’Adriatico oltre 30 mila visitatori. Tante le presenze dall’est europeo, oltre che da trenta Stati esteri. Il Salone muove oltre 2000 operatori, più di 500 persone dello staff organizzativo. Nel 2023 sono stati presenti 448 giornalisti accreditati, 33 operatori e giornalisti stranieri portati da ICE Agenzia, che ha confermato la sua collaborazione anche per questo anno, provenienti da Austria, Bulgaria, Croazia, Finlandia, Paesi Bassi, Polonia, Francia, Slovenia, Svezia, Svizzera, Turchia, Spagna, Serbia, Regno Unito.

“Gli espositori presenti nel 2023 hanno riconfermato con un tasso del 98% la loro presenza all’edizione 2024, e a questi si sono aggiunti molti nuovi prestigiosi cantieri nazionali e internazionali – dice Fabrizio D’Oria, direttore organizzativo del Salone - . La rassegna apre la stagione nautica a fine maggio in concomitanza con la Biennale D’Arte”.

Il cartellone

Il Salone sarà inaugurato mercoledì 29 maggio alle ore 11.00 e, nel primo pomeriggio, ospiterà un importante convegno dal titolo “La nautica da diporto nel III millennio. Driver di occupazione e immagine” che vedrà coinvolti i principali player della nautica italiana.

Torna l’edizione 2024 del Concorso internazionale per la selezione di Studi e Progetti di Barche - Navigazione sostenibile promossa dalla Fondazione Musei Civici, dedicata in particolare a progetti attinenti la “Selezione di studi e progetti di barche-Navigazione sostenibile”, una sfida interamente universitaria dedicata agli studenti provenienti Campus Universitario La Spezia-Promostudi, Università degli studi Trieste, Politecnico di Milano. Per ogni ateneo verranno selezionati i cinque progetti più meritevoli e innovativi in particolare con caratteristiche di elevata efficienza energetica e ridotto impatto ambientale.
