La Belle Vie is a beautiful Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 with 5 cabins – 4 queen en-suites, 2 single bunks, and 5 heads – comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, making this a perfect boat for the vacation of a lifetime. She is designed with an open layout and expansive living spaces giving every guest plenty of space. Her many different amenities, including a motorized swim platform, air conditioning, a generator, and a water maker, ensure that every guest will enjoy “the beautiful life” while aboard.

The yacht is equipped with Starlink for dedicated and reliable broadband internet throughout the US, British and Spanish Virgin Islands. Perfect for those who might need to work, or when the crew still wants to catch their favorite streaming shows either underway or at anchor.

CANCELLATION POLICY –  Payment for the charter is  non-refundable  once your boat is booked and the deposit has been received. In the case of unavoidable cancellation, any money received by Waypoints will be forfeited.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE FEE –  The Cancellation Insurance Fee of $200 will be automatically added to your booking. You have the option to decline this fee prior to making the initial deposit. Once the deposit has been made, this becomes non-refundable. Please read our Cancellation Policy below.

• If a charter is canceled within 91 or more days of embarkation, a $300.00 administration fee will be deducted from the deposit monies. Alternatively, all funds paid can be held on account and applied to a new charter within 24 months.
• If the charter is canceled within 90 and prior to 61 days of embarkation, the penalty is 50% of the total charter fee, including the sleep aboard fee. Alternatively, all funds paid can be held on account and applied to a new charter within 24 months.
• If the charter is canceled within 60 days to 31 days of embarkation, the full charter fee, including the sleep aboard fee, is forfeited less the cost of additional extras. Alternatively, 50% of the total charter fee can be held on account and applied to a new charter within 24 months.
• If the charter is canceled within 30 days of embarkation, the full charter fee, including the sleep aboard fee, is forfeited less the cost of additional extras, except for pre-paid Skipper fees.

Cancellation insurance can only be used once. In the event of cancellation, where Cancellation insurance is used and a charter is rebooked, the new dates are considered non-refundable. Cancellation insurance is not available to purchase for ‘rebooked’ charters. In the event of a refund, Credit card surcharges, wire transfer fees or any fees occurring through any other method of payment will not be refunded.

The 42.9m/140'9" sail yacht 'La Belle' (ex. Vent D'est) was built by Vitters in the Netherlands at their Zwartsluis shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house RWD and she was completed in 2002. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Dubois and she was last refitted in 2019.

Guest Accommodation

La Belle has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

La Belle is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. La Belle comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 3,300 nautical miles from her 21,840 litre fuel tanks. Her water tanks store around 8,875 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Robbie was brought up on a farm with a love for the outdoors, sport and a keen sense for adventure. His hobbies also include golf and darts but his favorite from a young age was and always has been fishing, whether it’s fresh water or deep sea. After school, he moved to South Africa to play professional rugby, but it was not long before he decided on it being an unlikely permanent career choice. He turned towards scuba diving instead, despite the cold waters of Cape Town and worked his way up to becoming an instructor. After a few years of this, Robbie grew keen to search for warmer water to dive in and accepted a job in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. The travel bug set in, Captain’s ticket in hand and many nautical miles later, there is nothing that Robbie loves more than finding new places to have fun in, both above and under the water.

Born and raised in the landlocked country of Zimbabwe, Sofia’s love for water originated whilst growing up as a national swimmer and waterpolo player. Working throughout studying within restaurants and catering, it gave her an opportunity to build up experience in hospitality, develop professionalism within the service industry but most of all appreciate different cuisines. After graduating from University of Cape Town, South Africa with a Social Science degree, Sofia realized she wasn’t motivated towards a formal office setting and sought after a career in which she could combine her love of travel with learning new skills. Discovering the world of yachting she has since worked in the Mediterranean, Australia, Indonesia, Florida and the Caribbean. Being able to explore new places and gain a passion for cooking along the way has been a dream realized.

Robbie and Sofie met in Singapore, soon found common ground of similar roots and have been working together within the industry since then for the last 5 years. Their combined passion for food, travel and most of all the ocean has brought them together to love what they do. They have been lucky enough to get to know some extraordinary, remote locations around the world but also appreciate being able to share time with family and friends in their home country, Zimbabwe.

As a team, they love being able to entertain, share stories and meet new people to learn theirs. Robbie and Sofie are keen on keeping charters light-hearted while making it a priority to go above and beyond so that their guests always have an adventure to remember.

Kirsten, a native of South Africa, grew up enjoying the pleasant climate and taking part in various outdoor activities, such as photography, swimming, and showjumping. She excelled in golf and earned several titles and a place on provincial teams before scuba diving captured her imagination during her first dive in the ocean. She attended the University of Johannesburg where her studies in Industrial Design deepened her appreciation of the ocean ecosystem and sparked a passion for developing projects to address ocean conservation. As her interest in photography shifted to the underwater world, she found herself drawn to a non-traditional career and pursued full-time work in diving and sailing. She honed her skills in Tuna fishing and spearfishing while working for a fishing charter company in Cape Town. Today, her love for the ocean and marine life remains one of her greatest passions.

C’EST LA VIE spends the summer and winter season in US Virgin Islands. She was delivered by the ship builder Lagoon in 2022. Damage Insurance (DRA-Deductible Reduction Agreement): $100/day plus refundable security deposit of $6,000 - $7,000 depending on yacht type and size Cancellation Insurance: $200 per charter

Cancel 91 or more days prior to original charter start date - $300 cancellation fee Cancel between 90 and 61 days prior to original charter start date - 50% of the total charter fee is forfeited. Cancel 60 days or less prior to original charter start date - full amount is forfeited. Or, 50% can be held on account to apply to another charter taken within 24 months.

Above cancellation terms apply as long as $200 Cancellation/Rescheduling insurance is purchased at the time of making initial deposit. Otherwise, the charter is non-refundable.

Located at Frenchtown Marina in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.

Taxi fare from St. Thomas airport to the marina is $15 per person. Taxi stand at airport directs you to a driver. It's a 10-15 minute ride, or Waypoints will make the arrangements for you upon request.

Captain Stella Sotomayor Stella is British and Spanish but was born and raised in The Netherlands. Growing up learning to sail on Lasers in Scotland, everything about the ocean always excited her. From lifeguarding, swim coaching, surfing, sailing, scuba diving, underwater videography and photography, her life and passions have always circulated around the sea. During her time at university in England, where she directed and edited short films, (some of which have been recognized in International film festivals), she spent her long summers working on sailing yachts. After having various roles in the yachting industry, she obtained her Yachtmaster Offshore Sail 200T license in Gibraltar and has worked on charters in Croatia, Greece, the Amalfi coast and Balearic Islands before moving to the BVI. During the winter seasons lona worked in the French Alps running and catering chalets to a very high standard. With both of these experiences, lona is able to present and deliver a vast variety of cuisines. lona aims to impress and wow and is constantly experimenting with new ideas, always receiving outstanding reviews. lona has a Mediterranean cooking flare and loves working with both land and sea elements. After graduating with 2:1 degree in Economics from Oxford Brookes University, lona worked in the renowned Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, before following her passion for hospitality and starting her first yacht season in Mallorca where she met Stella. They worked together on a 55ft catamaran sailing around the Balearic Islands. They are a dynamic and outstanding team, and they have the customers wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
