The Marlow-Hunter 37 is a stunning cruiser that is larger than any of her competitors and by far the largest volume sailboat on the market under 40 feet. The updated window line gives this yacht a sleek feel, but the improvements do not end there. The Glenn Henderson hull design still reflects the bow hollow and stern reflex but the design has been improved upon with a hard hull chine featuring a wider beam carried further aft which allows for more space below as well as stability and performance on the water.

The deck features a sleek, modern profile with large side windows allowing for increased interior light. The deck hatches are flush-mount, offering an enhanced look that complements the new profile. Lengthening the cockpit has allowed the MH37 to have a cockpit that is roomier and the fold down cockpit table allows the crew to take advantage of more cockpit space. The cockpit of the MH37 also features a fold-down swim platform that extends the already lengthy cockpit another four feet when folded down while the boat is docked or at anchor. Even with the fold-down swim platform, the MH37 has a telescoping stainless steel swim ladder that can be easily accessed while the swim platform is up or down. This safety feature not only functions well, providing stable steps for re-boarding the boat, but also hides away, making for a cleaner looking stern. The transom features a large storage area designated to neatly stow away shore power cords.

Down below , the master aft cabin is roomy and features comfortable headroom and private access to the head. The interior has been enhanced with a richer look and feel. Enhancements start at the sole of the interior which features a hardwood flooring look that accentuates the true beauty of the Marlow-Hunter 37’s interior. The large galley features Corian countertops with complementing stainless steel fiddles that not only keep items from falling off the countertops in a seaway but also serve as excellent hand holds for personal stability when preparing a meal or moving about below. The main salon is breathtaking from the level of fit and finish to the sheer volume she delivers. She features a full navigation station and a salon table also doubles as an additional bunk area for 2 people when the table is lowered into the bunk position. The forward cabin is large enough that it has been mistaken for the master cabin.

Throughout the MH37 she features seriously upgraded hardware and superior features such as warm LED lighting, dovetailed drawers, ball bearing slides on cabinet drawers, superior fit and finish with real and exotic timber used with high end fabrics to create, an inviting and warm interior second to none. Its high performance hull design provides clearly superior performance on all points of sail while maintaining safe, comfortable and easy handling characteristics in inclement weather. The hardware chosen reads as a who’s who of high quality in way of Lewmar winches, Yanmar engines, Dometic climate control and superior gel coats, resins and build materials.

Marlow-Hunters “Grid Truss” hull liner combined with the Dupont Kevlar “Load Path Reinforcement strapping” provides a near perfect finish for the bilge and machinery spaces while adding enormous reserve strength and resistance to the hull structure. Providing triangulation of all forces from the Patented B&R rig design to the unique keel sump system, the Marlow Hunter cradles its captain and crew in safety with spirited sailing.

 "Miss Too" is a beautul  37' Legend.  Hunter introduced this model back in the 80's with a full width master stateroom aft with inline berth, which makes this boat stand out.  She also features a roomy salon, L-shaped galley and large V-berth.  Fractional rigged mast with double spreaders, roller furling jib, full battened main with dutchman system.  Powered by a new Yanmar 38 HP diesel.

Hunter introduced the Legend 37 in 1987 as a replacement for the Hunter 37.  The new Legend 37 was an improvement over the old model.  She was built with a 12'10" beam (12' wider), much lighter, offering the option of wing/fin keel, and featured a new fractional rigged mast.  However, it is the interior arrangement that set this new design off, particularly the aft stateroom.  The New Legend 37 has incorporated a large island double berth with private access to the head.  The Legend 37 remained in production for 4 years when she was replaced in 1991 by the Legend 37.5.

From the centerline companionway, you enter a spacious salon with seating port and starboard and center line dinette table with drop down leafs.  V-berth forward with vanity/sink and hanging locker.  The starboard midship settee is split with 2 seats and an entertainment center between them.  Starboard of companionway is the nav station with swivel out chair.  Aft of Nav is a full head, which also lends second access to aft Master stateroom.  Full head with separate shower area, head with Y valve Adjacent, to port is an L shape galley with access to Master stateroom.  The large master stateroom has a full double berth inline, dual hanging lockers, ample storage and private head access.

In general, this vessel appears to be in serviceable condition. However, it has been on the hard for about five years. The current owner purchased it just before COVID began and was never able to get back in the US (from Canada) to sail her. The exact sail inventory is unknown. There are lots of sails stored in the quarter berth but they have not been taken out to inventory and their condition is not been verified. Prospective buyers should depend solely on their own expertise and experience, or that of a qualified marine surveyor, when determining the fitness of this vessel for their purposes. Accommodations on this Hunter Cherubini 37 include a V-berth with hanging locker and large deck hatch, aft cabin, and a vanity sink, mirror, shower, and head. The main cabin has a centerline table that converts into a double bunk with a single couch. Sleeps seven. The roomy and comfortable U-shaped galley has a double stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurized water, a refrigerator freezer unit, and a two-burner stove with an oven, a wood stove cover, storage, and counter space. In the salon there is a flat-screen television, a DVD player, and a bunch of DVD movies that come with the boat. A 1995 three-cylinder, 30 horsepower, Yanmar 3QM30 diesel provides auxiliary power. This is a freshwater-cooled engine. Raymarine autopilot, Furuno radar, Garmin GPS, Garmin digital depth, and Standard Horizon VHF with AIS. There is also a Uniden portable VHF included. The John Cherubini design Hunter 37 provides luxury and comfort. Many amenities, roomy and comfortable accommodations. Reason for selling is moving to costa rica.

Teak cockpit table and beverage holder. NavPod for engine gauges, old Garmin GPS. No working instruments. New depth and speed transducers. Engine Yanmar 3QM30, FW cooled with plenty of power when needed. Original 1900 hours. Easy access for maintenance. Engine service manual included.New sound proof insulation. CQR and Dunfor anchors with chain and rope. New 2D batteries in July 2011. Promarine battery charger. This Cherubini design is very sturdy and features a sensible & roomy layout below with wide decks for sail handling above. It is well suited for living aboard and/or comfortable cruising. My wife and I have lived aboard for last two years, sailed, and loved it. Very dependable ship! With a private forward stateroom featuring a private head with a separate shower stall, sink and vanity, it is apportioned very well with its roomy V-berth California king sized bed. With the aft private state room and roomy interior the boat can sleep six comfortably . The stationary dinette sits four adults easily, and the table leafs drop effortlessly for more space when not in use. The boat is also equipped with a stock kerosene heater, microwave oven, lp gas fueled convection oven with range and 4-burners, refrigerator and freezer. The 40 gallon fuel tank gives her a motoring range of more than 350 miles via the 44hp Yanmar diesel engine. Everything on the boat works! In the past year weve added a new fresh water pump, new water heater, new refrigerator and freezer, and all new interior LED lighting. Weve also installed a new folding real teak wood table mounted on the pedestal, and a new halyard. The top and bottom of the boat are cleaned monthly, and the zinc anodes are replaced regularly. 1985 Hunter 37C - Serial # HUN37401H485 1985 Yanmar 4JHE 44hp Serial # 00357 engine runs great and the sails are in great condition as well. Hunter produces the best quality boats that truly goes the distance. The Hunter brand started in the year 1973 in Alachua, Florida. The early Hunter craft designed by John E. Cherubini established a reputation for its quality and value in a very short time. Hunter is responsible for innumerable market innovations like their trademark stainless steel cockpit arch and their use of the B&R rig. The company also began the construction of sailboats whose hulls make use of bow hollow and stern reflex to maximize thrust under sail. Since 2012, David E. Marlow owns Hunter Marine, a U.S. based yacht builder, and Hunter Marine is now known as Marlow-Hunter, LLC.
