Dislikes: Hate the galley (headroom) and skinny passageway to stern berth, which in my view has a weird setup. Overall: not my kind of boat and is generally considered a "small" 50'.

Gulfstar 37 and too large a boat /Matts. To Matts if you have some boat experience a boat 37 should not be a problem. I worked and operated large boats 95 to 125 foot fishing draggers although 31 yrs ago and learned not to be afraid. The main thing is you have to understand is a bigger boat can't be manhandled to and from the dock or what ever .

It takes into consideration "reported" sail area, displacement and length at waterline. The higher the number the faster speed prediction for the boat. A cat with a number 0.6 is likely to sail 6kts in 10kts wind, a cat with a number of 0.7 is likely to sail at 7kts in 10kts wind. KSP = (Lwl*SA÷D)^0.5*0.5

We have both! We live on a 1973 Gulfstar 43 trawler and just purchased last September a 1979 Endeavour 37 A plan. The Gulfstar is built on the sailboat hull, his sons did not like sailing and took their fathers sailboat hulls and turned them into trawlers until 1978 when they started to make dedicated powerboat hulls.I have nothing but praise for the traditional looks and build of the Gulfstar.

Otherwise I'm great condition with new rigging, sails and well maintained engine. Appraised around 45k which is also the offer.
