Jonathan the founder of Yacht Fun is also a Yacht owner which he charters in Mallorca. In 2021 one of his guests asked to hire a Sea Bob, he found it was almost impossible to find one due to limited quantities and when he did the rental price was very expensive and the sea bob was in poor condition. After looking around the island for a suitable supplier he could use next time, he found there was various rental companies but none of them had a range of toys and they had limited stock. Jonathan decided to fill this gap in the market and open Yacht Fun, a professional sea toy rental company with customer satisfaction being there number one priority.

Based in Portals, we have several of the best Electric Sea toys to rent, we hold large quantities of each toy to ensure we can always say yes. You can rent our toys from 1 day to 1 month. You can collect from our premises, or we can deliver and collect directly from you, we deal with the stress so you can have FUN. Swimming & water sports

Swimming is probably the easiest and most accessible activity you can do on a chartered yacht. It requires no equipment and no effort to prepare. There’s nothing quite like plunging into the refreshing water after spending the day soaking in the sun! Sightseeing is probably the most rewarding onshore activity you can do while sailing. Many sailing destinations boast some amazing cultural heritage sites or nature parks you can enjoy. 

If you decide on a yacht charter on the Adriatic, we recommend visiting at least one of the eight amazing national parks in Croatia . While in Croatia, you can also explore local World Cultural Heritage sites protected by UNESCO.

Experiencing the local cuisine is a must while on a yacht charter.

Example of a 1-day itinerary 

How your typical sailing day is going to look depends on who you’re with, what type of charter yacht you choose, as well as your personality and hobbies. If you’re sailing with your family, your day will be filled with family-friendly activities such as water sports, hiking, and lounging on the beach. If you’re with your friends - you’ll probably be more into partying and exploring the vibrant nightlife onshore. 

Here is an example of a 1-day yacht itinerary filled with various activities:

There’s no better way to start your day than a refreshing morning swim, followed by a light breakfast on board. After breakfast and your morning cup of coffee, you can dock the boat in the marina, go fishing with the locals or simply prepare the boat for the next destination. 

It’s not a bad idea to consult weather charts and make the plan for the rest of the day accordingly.

If the weather is favorable, you can enjoy the feel of sailing a yacht under full sails. For lunch, you can find some nice bay to anchor and try the local delicacies. You can spend the time until dinner sightseeing, swimming, sailing, or practicing watersports. A more relaxed option would be sunbathing or napping on the deck, sipping cold cocktails, or reading a good book.

Most boats are set up for wakeboarding . Assuming that you already have life jackets on board, all that you need to add to the equation is the actual wakeboard and a tow rope for the rider to hold onto while you pull him through the water. A good wakeboard and a tow rope can be purchased online for about $300 total, and they can be used and reused not just for one season, but for years to come.

First timers often ask me what do you actually do on a yacht charter –  especially if you have kids , so among the things to do on charter, these are by far the most popular. We’ve put together an easy list of different activities that are possible all the way from ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to INTENSE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. This depends on what kind of person you are and the what it is you prefer to do while on holiday or on vacation.

Whatever your hobbies or favorite interests however, you will doing them in the most unbelievably beautiful and relaxing places on earth. Most charter destinations have the most amazing backdrops on the planet. Sit back or lie back and enjoy the ride.

Absolutely Nothing? No we’re not kidding. Some of our clients just want to kick back, and do absolutely nothing.

If you are interested in learning how to sail, many captains will allow you to take the wheel of your charter yacht and give you the basic pointers of sailing a boat. Some of our clients have found it useful to take the ASA 101 basic sailing on-line course that you can take at home prior to your charter. This does not really qualify you to sail a boat but at least you’ll know the basic nautical terms and the principles of sailing.

You can also use the ship’s dinghy to explore the coastline and the beaches and restaurants along the way. Caribbean restaurants tend to be a bit pricey and with rare exceptions, all the main ingredients are imported from the United States. Mediterranean restaurants tend to be a bit pricey too, but at least the food will be fresh.

Yacht is a classic dice-rolling game that inspired the hit game Yahtzee by Milton Bradley. Play online against random opponents, create a game with your friends, or practice against the computer.

In Yacht, you need to make specific combinations that score the most points possible at the end of three rolls. At the end of the game, whoever has the most points wins. 

Every turn, you have three dice rolls. After your first roll, you can choose to hold dice. The dice you hold will not be part of your next roll. After three rolls, pick a category on the scorecard to lock in your points. If you aren't sure what each category means, tap on the name to get more details.

HINT: If you score 63 or more points in the upper section of the scorecard, you'll earn a 35-point bonus.

You can either play this game against a computer, or play online and go head-to-head against players anywhere in the world. Either way, you can expect to have a fun and exciting challenge.

Probably the biggest factor in this dice game is whether or not you are able to get the 35-point bonus. Because of this, you should try and focus on the upper section in order to work toward that bonus. 

Make sure to keep your chance section clear for as long as you can. It is nice to have a safety net that can catch you if you have a bad roll. 

Every turn, you have three dice rolls. After your first roll, you can choose to hold dice. The dice you hold will not be part of your next roll. After three rolls, pick a category on the scorecard to lock in your points. If you aren't sure what each category means, mouse over the name to get more details.

With harbor project dead, city seeks fee hikes for marina boat owners

After a proposal to build a yacht harbor in front of Marina Green was squashed by grassroots organizers, an effort is underway to raise the fees for berthing a vessel at the boatyard. The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department says the move will help make its operations there financially sustainable.

The department notified boat owners this week that it would like to bump berthing fees by a whopping 31.4% by summer 2025. If the fee increases are approved, it would affect about 600 vessels, the department said.

"It's to make the marina self-sufficient," department spokesperson Tamara Aparton told The Standard. "We can't subsidize it. We think our funding should go toward recreation, not for subsidizing the marina."

Keeping a boat at the marina currently costs $6,000 annually for the smallest, 25-foot slip and up to $30,600 for the largest, 100-foot slip.

The new proposal comes after the city tried to use part of a $160 million settlement with PG&E to redesign the entire harbor. The funds were intended to clean up pollution in the bay caused by a former coal gasification plant.

The department had proposed extending the harbor and adding a new breakwater, arguing that the project would have added funds to its coffers by allowing it to cut back on expensive dredging and bring in more customers with the additional docks. The plan was put forward as the city contends with a massive budget deficit that has led to orders by Mayor London Breed to cut department costs.

An analysis by city staff suggested that additional boats could make the marina profitable to the tune of $1 million a year. But the project was spiked in late January after an outcry from residents who argued that building anything in front of Marina Green would ruin a vital community space.

Members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors' Land Use and Transportation Committee agreed with opponents and passed an ordinance blocking the plans from moving forward. The committee vote was unanimous, and the ordinance was ultimately approved by the full board and signed by Breed.

Now, the Recreation and Park Department is looking for other ways to keep the boatyard afloat.

The proposal for the fee increases will be heard at the Budget and Finance Committee on Wednesday.

"We understand that any increase in fees may impact you, and we assure you that these adjustments have been carefully considered in light of our operational needs and commitments to maintaining high-quality facilities and services," the he Recreation and Park Department said in a message to owners.

Joe Bravo, who has been boating at the harbor since the 1970s and currently docks a 35-foot sailboat there, said he understands that the city needs to find funding somewhere. But he worries that the cost increases could end up driving boat owners elsewhere, noting that the current rates are already expensive.

"You’re going to lose them," Bravo said. "It's too easy to go somewhere else. There are plenty of places to go to."

Frozen Dead Guys for everyone!

Through Sunday. Colorado’s favorite cryogenically themed hoedown, Frozen Dead Guy Days , returns to Estes Park this week (assuming it isn’t snowed out) with a zombie crawl, Royal Blue Ball (Friday, March 15) and other activities, such as live music and “frosty games” — most of which take place Saturday, March 16.

“Festival goers can expect the weird and wonderful happenings from years past, including coffin races and a polar plunge, as well as plenty of new and elevated Estes twists, like a frostbite fashion show, a Bands and Bloodys Sunday Brunch and more,” organizers wrote. Tickets: $49 for the festival, and $99 for the Royal Blue Ball.

St. Patrick’s Day family fun

Through Sunday. Besides the green beer, Irish cuisine specials, and vigorous singing and dancing, this year’s St. Patrick’s Day brings back the massive Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade , which as of this writing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, despite the intense storm this week. Free and family-friendly, it steps off at 19th and Wynkoop streets, with the best viewing for families at Blake Street from 23rd to 27th streets. See denverstpatricksdayparade.com for more.

We’re also liking the jib of Old Towne Arvada’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival (noon-6 p.m. Saturday, with kids activities and entertainment) and Boulder Social’s Puppy Parade , with $10 donations per parading dog going to Boulder’s Farfel’s Farm and Rescue; it also gets you a house-brewed Social Beer ( besocialcolorado.com/bouldersocial ).

Five Points has its first St. Paddy’s Day Pet Parade and Costume Competition , led by a brass band along Welton Street starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. It joins the historic neighborhood’s traditional pub crawl, spoken word poetry, and live DJ performances — attendees of which are encouraged to wear their most sparkling green gear. An indie-songwriter dilemma

Tuesday. Madi Diaz’s indie-folk carries a mid-tempo hush that often sprawls into soaring choruses, as heard on “Don’t Do Me Good,” her sparkling duet with Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves. Diaz brings her show to the Bluebird Theater (3317 E. Colfax Ave. in Denver) on Tuesday, March 19. Tickets for the 16-and-up concert with openers Daniel Nunnelee and Patrick Dethlefs are $22 at axs.com .

On the same night (whatever you choose, you’re in luck) at Globe Hall we also must include copacetic indie songwriter Rosali , whose new album “Bite Down” (March 22 on Merge Records) is by turns sprightly, heart-rending and impossibly smooth. Colorado Dragon Boat Film Fest

Through Sunday. Unique in the region, the Colorado Dragon Boat Film Festival in 2016 grew out of the so-named competitive event at Sloan’s Lake Park, with a compact slate of films exploring Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander heritage. It returns through Sunday, March 17, with screenings, Q&As with filmmakers, two “creative conversations” with community members, and the first Golden Dragon Award (for actress Ji-young Yoo).
