Oceanco claims Seven Seas also offers “outstanding performance and seakeeping ability.” The folks at Lateral Naval Architects carried out an extensive optimization process to ensure the 4,444 GT cruiser excels in all areas, and even partnered with Oceanco to develop the propulsion system. Seven Seas is powered by twin MTU 20V 4000 M73L diesel engines that can produce 4,813 hp each and propel the vessel to 20 knots. She is also the first LY3-compliant yacht (the British government’s classification for big commercial craft), to feature a marine evacuation system, according to Oceanco. Such systems make it easy and quick for you to slide into a lifeboat should an emergency situation arise.

The original Seven Seas, now known as Man of Steel , was delivered to Spielberg in 2010. The four-time Academy Award winner, who ranks as the most commercially successful director in history with a net worth of $4 billion, spared no expense when designing his dream machine. He opted for nine generous staterooms, a spa, a gym, a pool, a beach club, a helipad, a tender garage, and a full movie theater, of course. Over the past decade, the OG Seven Seas has lived up to its moniker, sailing the coast of France during the Cannes Film Festival and the waters of Antigua and Barbuda. The high-profile 282-footer will certainly be a tough act to follow, but the new 357-footer could well steal the spotlight.

Oceanco announces delivery of 109-meter yacht SEVEN SEAS

Boasting an impressive 109m (358ft) LOA, the steel and aluminum motor yacht SEVEN SEAS , formerly known as Project Y720 , has left Oceanco ’s outfitting facilities in Alblasserdam, Netherlands, and has now been delivered to her owners. 

The superyacht is a collaboration with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and Molly Isaksen Interiors, showcasing a beautifully proportioned profile with a raked bow and plenty of glazing, with Lateral Naval Architects responsible for her engineering and technical aspects, alongside heavy involvement from the owner.

Her interior design, meanwhile, are from the boards of Beverly Hills studio Molly Isaksen Interiors, with reported use of natural elements and classically chic neutral stylings.

On board highlights include panoramic views from every level through prominent use of glass on her main, bridge and upper decks, as well as a vast array of alfresco living spaces.

The 4,440 GT yacht has also undergone an extensive optimization process, resulting in outstanding performance and exceptional seakeeping ability, with a top speed of 20 knots. She is also the first LY3-compliant yacht to feature an industry-leading Marine Evacuation System.

SEVEN SEAS is the third largest superyacht delivered by the shipyard to date, behind 127-meter  saiing yacht KORU and 117-meter  motor yacht INFINITY .

Oceanco delivers 109-metre superyacht Seven Seas

Oceanco has delivered the Seven Seas, a 109-metre motoryacht. Under the expertise and guidance of Lateral Naval Architects, the project underwent an extensive optimisation process, resulting in outstanding performance and exceptional seakeeping ability.

The yacht was created in collaboration between Oceanco , Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and Molly Isaksen Interiors. Setting Seven Seas apart is its profile and the use of natural materials and glass on board, offering guests an outward-looking experience.

The Seven Seas is the first Large Yacht Code 3-compliant yacht to feature a Marine Evacuation System.

Na het afleveren van het superjacht van jeff bezos heeft oceanco ook steven spielberg blij gemaakt met zijn nieuwste nautische speeltje.

“Oceanco kondigt met trots de levering aan van Seven Seas”, schrijft de Nederlandse scheepswerf. Het is de tweede keer dat Oceanco in opdracht van de legendarisch Hollywood-regisseur Steven Spielberg aan de slag ging. Het tweede, nieuwste plezierschip is echter wel 23 meter langer dan de eerste.

Aflevering van Seven Seas van Steven Spielberg

Project Y720 is ondertussen omgedoopt tot Seven Seas, een verwijzing naar de zeven kinderen van de Amerikaanse eigenaar. Zijn andere superjacht heette ook al zo, maar toen hij die in 2021 verkocht, werd deze hernoemd tot Man of Steel. Dat betekent dat de naam Seven Seas weer beschikbaar kwam.

Spielburg zal ongetwijfeld blij zijn met het eindresultaat. En tegelijkertijd opgelucht, want het jacht was nogal een hoofdpijndossier . Het op vier na grootste schip door Oceanco is dan ook niet niks. De eerste keer dat we het jacht konden aanschouwen was in 2022, toen het jacht uit de bouwloods in Zwijndrecht werd gerold.

Faciliteiten van het in Nederland gebouwde superjacht

Op het gebied van entertainment zullen gasten niets te kort komen. Het jacht – samengesteld door Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design en Molly Isaksen Interiors – beschikt namelijk over een indrukwekkende collectie van kunst, een garage die plaats biedt aan verschillende jetski’s en er zijn diverse ligplekken om te zonnen op één van de teakdekken.

Hoewel er geen beelden van haar interieur zijn, spreekt de bouwer over een “voortreffelijke gebruik van natuurlijke materialen en glas aan boord, waardoor gasten een ongeëvenaarde naar buiten gerichte ervaring krijgen”. Andere state-of-the-art faciliteiten van het jacht zijn onder meer de fitnessruimte, de uitgebreide spa, de bioscoopzaal en uiteraard kan een zwembad niet ontbreken.

Een eental weken lanceerde Oceanco hun grootste jacht tot op heden, het 127 meter lange superjacht Koru . Oftewel het nieuwste speeltje van Amazone-oprichter en filantroop Jeff Bezos en zijn verloofde Lauren Sanchez.

Delivered to a proud yacht owner in 2010, this luxury yacht sleeps up to 20 guests in 9 staterooms and has accommodations for 28 crew. She has a beam of 46.6ft / 14.2m, a draft of 12.8ft / 3.9m. Her hull is steel and her decks are teak. Her max speed is 19.5 knots and cruising speed is 16 knots. She is propelled by MTU engines at 4,680 hp each. Her interior design is by Nuvolari & Lenard / Molly Isaksen with exterior styling by Nuvolari Lenard .

86m Oceanco superyacht Seven Seas sold

The 86 metre Oceanco superyacht Seven Seas has been sold and is now renamed Man of Steel . 

The yacht, which was jointly listed for sale by Edmiston and Merle Wood & Associates , was sold with the buyer introduced by Thom Conboy and Chris Collins of Denison Yachting .

First delivered in 2010 and only ever used privately, Seven Seas is packed with premium superyacht features, including a touch-and-go helipad, a range of custom-built tenders, professional cinema and private owner’s deck.

After completing its 10-year Class Survey last year, the yacht was presented in turnkey condition.

The exterior design is penned by Nuvolari & Lenard while the naval architecture comes courtesy of Azure Naval Architecture . The “contemporary and elegant” interior meanwhile was created in collaboration between Nuvolari & Lenard and Molly Isaksen.

Accommodation on board is for a total of 20 guests, comprising the owner’s suite on a private deck with a Jacuzzi, a full-beam VIP, three doubles and one triple cabin on the main deck and a further “sea cabin” on the lower deck big enough for three. The crew quarters meanwhile allow for a staff of 28.

Seven Seas boasts extensive health and wellness facilities, including a swimming pool on the large aft deck, gym, massage room, sauna and steam room.

The asking price of Seven Seas has been withheld.

Sample Itinerary – 7 days

Day 1: Arrive at the Nassau Airport on Grand Bahama Island, greeted by members of the crew and proceed to the yacht, docked at Atlantis. Spend the day and evening enjoying the many diversions of Atlantis, or explore Nassau.

Day 2: Leaving Nassau behind, arrive at Normans Cay in time for lunch. After lunch there will be plenty of time to snorkel the plane wreck that is near by. Experience the wonderful island atmosphere with dinner at Big Major’s Spot.

Day 3: After a leisurely breakfast, arrive at Thunder Ball Grotto. The snorkeling is so beautiful here, you will easily imagine yourself in a giant aquarium. After your refreshing snorkel, you will proceed on to Sandy Cay where lunch will be served as a beach-side picnic. The yacht’s shallow draft allows the Captain to pull her up very close to the beach. Chairs will be placed in the shallow water, for the ultimate picnic?in the water! Play off your lunch by participating in the underwater treasure hunt, or just relax with a good book. Finish the day by heading to Georgetown, Great Exuma for dinner.

Day 4: Start your day by snorkeling the amazing Blue Hole. Indulge in a leisurely lunch at Stocking Island, with plenty of time to explore ashore, followed by a quick dip to cool off. Continue your odyssey by moving on to friendly Sampson Cay in time for dinner.

Day 5: This is a day you will remember forever. Wardrick Wells will be your destination for this morning. This could well be the inspiration for Jimmy Buffett’s song about “One Particular Harbor”. Established as a Land and Sea Park in the mid-1980s, it is a paradise, whether hiking the trails or snorkeling the limpid waters. After an active morning, you will leave and arrive at Fowl Cay in time for lunch. Following lunch, it’s time to hop into the water again, this time to snorkel the Caves at Rocky Dundas. You will be in Allen’s Cay for dinner, enjoying the tropical breeze as you discuss all you saw and did that day.

Day 6: Put your hiking shoes on and pretend you are Charles Darwin! You get the opportunity to do just that when you go ashore at Allen’s Cay to feed the iguanas. No, don’t save any of the iguana snacks for lunch, as you will be going to Shroud Cay for a beach picnic. Need for speed by now, and some cool exploring? Now is your chance to jet ski through the mangroves and rivers of Shroud Cay.

Day 7: Return to Atlantis with plenty of time to enjoy the giant aquarium, water slides, shops and casinos. After a full week of relaxing, indulging in the incredible cuisine, snorkeling and exploring, you can return home refreshed and looking forward to your next Bahamas yacht charter adventure!
