SEALYON , a 202′ Viareggio Superyacht built in 2009, was sold by Kurt Bosshardt , who represented the buyer. The seller was represented by Max Bulley from Y.CO and Bob Frisky from Northrop & Johnson.

SEALYON’s interior layout accommodates up to 12 guests in seven staterooms, with 17 crew members. She is built with a teak deck, a steel hull, and aluminum superstructure. Her performance includes a cruising speed of 15.5 knots and maximum speed of 17 knots.

“SeaLyon dropped in our laps after looking at several yachts that just didn’t tick all the boxes. She is spacious, sexy, and rides like a cruise ship through rough seas. On our sea trial, the crew was spectacular. We enjoyed a wonderful brunch in 5 ft seas, with impeccable service. Our listing agent, Bob Fritsky with Northrop and Johnson went out of his way to make this transfer of ownership seamless. The 203’ (62m) 2009 VSY superyacht SEALYON has been sold by yacht brokers Bob Fritsky and Kevin Merrigan, representing the seller. The last asking price was $29,900,000.

Released by Viareggio Superyacht Shipyard in 2009, luxury yacht SEALYON is the epitome of luxury living, emulating a resplendent 1930s Hollywood ambiance throughout. Perfectly tailored for an owner with a passion for luxury travel and high seas cruising, she’s been the subject of multiple awards – including World Superyacht, International Yacht and SBID Design. She’s also been meticulously cared and received extensive upgrades since her launch.

Designed by Candy & Candy of London, the interior of SEALYON welcomes guests to relax, entertain and socialize in an atmosphere of luxury. Carefully crafted to the finest detail, the main salon is simply immaculate. This area spotlights soft seating, a full-service bar and a glass top Schimmel Grand Piano underneath a crystalline chandelier – perfect for a game night or social evening. A formal dining salon is located forward.

For on-water activities, SEALYON provides an excellent balance between rejuvenation and adventure. Her skylounge is warm and welcoming, spotlighting a 103” TV and the atmosphere of a classic Hollywood movie palace. With the pristine glass elevator, SEALYON is easily accessible to all guests.

Her overnight accommodations consist of six sumptuous staterooms for 12 guests. She is joined by a crew of 16 to ensure all guests’ needs are attended to. SEALYON Yacht – Incredible $35 Million Superyacht

The SEALYON yacht is a 62.0m superyacht built by Viareggio Superyacht in 2009 at their Italian shipyard. She was originally named Candyscape II. 

She was originally built for British property developers, Nick and Christian Candy to replace their previous yacht, Candyscape. 

In 2011, she was sold by the Candys to British investor Anthony Lyons, who listed SEALYON for sale asking for 29,500,000 EUR. 

SEALYON Yacht Interior

The SEALYON yacht interior was penned by English design house Candy & Candy.

Her interiors are inspired by 1930s Hollywood glamour and feature contemporary classic styling. 

Some of the eccentric materials that can be found on the inside of the vessel include dark wood, rosewood, and metallic accents. 

Following the 30’s concept, the interiors are Art Deco styled giving Great Gatsby vibes. 

The main salon is decorated with a Schimmel piano and the owner’s special art collection. 

She can accommodate up to 10 guests across six luxury cabins, including the owner’s cabin, a VIP room, and four convertible guest cabins. She can also carry 16 crew members on board. 

The master suite is located on deck level and features panoramic views, as well as a private dressing room and an ensuite bathroom decorated in Grigio Carnico marble. 

The amenities this stunning yacht offers include a gym on deck, jacuzzi, treadmill, free weights, HDTV TV, iPod system, air-conditioning, and WIFI.

SEASON is also equipped with an exclusive variety of toys such as jet skis, seasons, wakeboard, waterski, banana, doughnut, and snorkeling equipment. 

SEALYON Yacht Exterior

The SEA LYON yacht features exterior design by Espen Øino International and naval architecture by Studio Ing. A. Arnaboldi. 

Her gorgeous white exterior is defined by clean and geometrical lines giving her a contemporary aesthetic. It is built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. 

The vessel has a modern stabilization system to help reduce the roll and side-to-side effect, making the cruising experience even more comfortable and safe.

She has a 23’ Castoldi tender and a U-shaped lounge for guests to enjoy the open air. 

SEALYON Yacht Specifications

The SEALYON yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar engines which give her a cruising speed of 15.0 knots with a range of 4,000 nautical miles. She can reach a maximum speed of 17 knots.

This superyacht has a beam of 11.02m, a draft of 3.2m, and a gross tonnage of 1,065. She has a fuel capacity of 141,000 liters and can carry up to 39,000 liters of water. 

The award-winning yacht is built to comply MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) and RINA (Royal Institution of Naval Architects) specifications.

She won first prize at the World Superyacht International for Best Displacement Motor Yacht in 2010. 

Additionally, she is a PADI Certified Training Center and an Approved RYA Water Sports Centre.

She is currently sailing under the United Kingdom flag, she has an annual running cost that goes from $1 to $3 million. 

The SEALYON yacht is not listed for sale, but she’s available for charter.

Her weekly rates go from 325,000 to 375,000 EUR, depending on the season. Consider these prices don’t include expenses.

Motor Yacht

Sealyon is a semi-custom motor yacht launched in 2007 by ISA Yachts in Ancona, Italy and most recently refitted in 2009.

ISA Yachts (International Shipyards Ancona) was founded in late 1998 in Ancona, Italy and is now an esteemed brand of Palumbo Superyachts.

Sealyon measures 36.60 metres in length, with a max draft of 1.46 metres and a beam of 7.40 metres.

Sealyon has a GRP hull with a GRP superstructure.

Her interior design is by Argent Design.

Sealyon also features naval architecture by ISA Yachts.

Sealyon is a semi-custom ISASPORT 120 model.

The ISA 120 series is the smallest range of the company’s semi-custom range and features a collection of composite super yachts measuring 36.45 metres in length. The concept was the vision of the team at ISA and the naval architecture of the line is the responsibility of the in-house technical department. The streamlined exterior and sleek-looking design is the work of Andrea Vallicelli while the interior design of the more recent launches have benefited from the talent of the Cristiano Gatto Design Team.

M/Y SEALYON (ex Illusion, Lady Illusion) is the ISA yard’s fifth yacht in the luxury ISA 120 series as launched in mid 2007. This is hull number five of the highly successful composite ISA 120 series yet the yacht is essentially a custom built project as developed from a close cooperation between the shipyard, the owner’s family and architect Pietro Mingarelli. She offers spacious accommodation for a charter party, of up to 8, in four ensuited cabins.

Externally, at first sight, what differentiates SEALYON, from her sister ships, is the black stripe running the length of the hull encompassing the portholes along with the stainless steel strip at deck level.

Yacht SEALYON (ex Illusion, Lady Illusion) features a yin and yang, or dark and white, interior of darkened walnut. The wood work has been highlighted with Lalique inlays and stainless steel trim as well as beveled mirrors throughout. Whilst the external styling does not substantially alter the style of the ISA 120’ series, the interior of SEALYON is uncharacteristic of the range.

The yacht’s interior and joinery is almost black walnut with dominant highlights in Lalique inlays which have been integrated into the furniture and backlit as in the master and VIP cabin. She also features stainless steel trim, beveled mirrors and fine leather ceilings throughout dining and coffee tables are glass topped with mirrored bases which give them the appearance of being transparent.

SEALYON Specifications

Once aboard this luxury yacht it is also evident that the external deck arrangements and furniture are quite custom and unique. The layout on the fly bridge features a large black mosaic lined Spa Pool on the centre line fwd flanked by two generous sunbathing areas on each side, totally sheltered from any breeze (notably when cruising up to 35 knots).

The yacht also offers a bar and a large dining table for eight, a cocktail area and large sunbathing area right aft. All the furnishings have been finished in dark stained teak stained complemented by stainless steel trim and fine fabrics. The main aft deck is finished in the same style again with dining for eight or cocktails at the high low table.

Yacht Accommodation

Super yacht SEALYON can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 separate cabins. Her master stateroom is located on the main deck. The remaining VIP stateroom, which is equal in size to the master, a double and a twin stateroom with Pullman berth, are located on the lower deck.

Amenities and Extras

Luxury motor yacht SEALYON (ex Illusion, Lady Illusion) provides the following tender, toys and amenities: A 5m (16.4ft) Castoldi Jet Tender and 2 Yamaha GP1300 Jet Skis. She is also equipped with Water Skis and Wakeboard, snorkelling equipment, fishing equipment and ski bobs. Audio Visual Equipment and Deck Facilities include a Kaleidoscope DVD storage system with a good selection of DVDs, Ipod points in all communal areas and cabins, controllable through Crestron system. She has a powerful exterior stereo system and large screen (high definition) television screens. She has Sky TV. Her communication systems include V-Sat internet system available throughout via wifi, a Sat phone and a GSM phone.

SEALYON features

Multi-award-winning 62m SEALYON exudes luxury on every deck. Originally an in-house project for Viareggio SuperYachts, she was built at their state-of-the-art facilities in Italy and delivered in 2009.

Finished to an exquisite level of detail, she cruises comfortably at 15 knots and features an ultra-modern stabilisation system. A stunning blend of innovative design and old-school glamour, this yacht for charter  was also the first yacht ever to receive RINA Green Plus certification.

With six luxurious staterooms, SEALYON can accommodate up to 12 guests onboard overnight. A true showstopper, the deck level in SEALYON’s master suite is raised to provide breathtaking panoramic views. Decorated with a fabulous art deco flair, this vast suite has a super-king bed and a walk-in dressing room. The large ensuite bathroom is finished in Grigio Carnico marble and equipped with a bathtub and shower plus integrated TVs.

Beautifully finished with clean lines and stylised geometric details, SEALYON’s guest accommodation has an extremely versatile layout. A VIP stateroom is adjacent to the owner’s suite and two double cabins and two twin cabins can be found on the lower deck. SEALYON also has onboard accommodation for her 16-person crew. The crew will be on hand throughout the holiday to ensure your charter more than lives up to your expectations.

On the main deck, the lobby leads into the sophisticated main salon. Combining dark wood with light metallic accents, the salon features a large seating area with a Schimmel grand piano. Lacquered divides separate the lounge area from an elegant formal dining area which features multiple pieces of art from the owner’s private collection.

Located on the upper deck is a beautiful home office finished in rich rosewood. Also on this deck is SEALYON’s stunning media room which features a 103in plasma screen for professional-grade cinema nights on the water. SEALYON also has a high-tech gym located on the main deck. Equipped with a full range of work-out equipment, the gym offers panoramic views during your workout.

SEALYON’s spectacular split-level teak sundeck is a showstopper in every sense of the word. This incredible space was designed with relaxation in mind. Top up your tan on the rotating circular sunbed then cool off in seconds with the handy misting system.

The lounge area  is ideal for al fresco meals while the 12-person Jacuzzi with its chromatherapy lighting  is the perfect spot for sunset cocktails. On the upper deck, you’ll find a formal outdoor dining area with seating for 12 guests. On the main deck, a pair of stairways can be connected to SEALYON’s swim platform for easy access to the water.

A 7m high, 15m long freestyle slide and Jungle Joe climbing tower will definitely be a highlight of the holiday. SEALYON’s extensive collection of inflatables and towables is always a hit with the kids.

Take the seabobs for a spin and then relive your adventures in the media room thanks to the built-in camera. Enjoy a day’s scuba diving or try waterskiing behind the Castoldi Jet 23 tender. With endless possibilities for fun, SEALYON will take your charter experience to the next level.
