A General Description of Motor Yacht BRAVADO

This motor yacht BRAVADO is a 45 metre 146 (ft) large steel ship which was created by Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts (Schiffs-Und Yachtwerft ) and her design plans were devised by Abeking & Rasmussen and Reymond Langton Design. This graceful boat was designed with a naval architect called Abeking & Rasmussen and Reymond Langton Design. Reymond Langton Design was involved in the interior design.

The Build & Design for Luxury Yacht BRAVADO

Abeking & Rasmussen was the naval architect involved in the formal vessel composition for BRAVADO. Her interior design was completed by Reymond Langton Design. Abeking & Rasmussen and Reymond Langton Design is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. Germany is the country that Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts (Schiffs-Und Yachtwerft ) constructed their new build motor yacht in. After official launch in 2004 in Lemwerder she was then delivered on to the owner having completed final finishing. A fairly large feeling is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 8.7 metres / 28.54 ft. With a 2.8m (9.19ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built out of aluminium. In 2005 extra refit work and modernisation was in addition performed.

Her propulsion units are twin screw propellers (5 blades bronze). She also has an efficient range of 3500 nautical miles when motoring at her cruise speed of 12.5 knots. Her total HP is 2144 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1600.

Featuring accommodations for 10 to 12 people (owner and guests plus 7 crewmembers), the 500 GRT limit for final dimensions were the principal premises for the luxury 44.90m, steel twin-screw, diesel motor yacht for an American owner which the yard delivered at end of July 2004

Abeking & Rasmussen turned over the yacht to the owner one week prior to the contracted date, as he wished to reach Athens in time for the Olympic Games. Before sailing to the Mediterranean, BRAVADO took a short Baltic Sea cruise.

Built to highest standards for worldwide cruising, following the rules of Lloyd’s SSC to obtain the 100A1 notation, Yacht, Mono, G6, LMC, the yacht has been designed for one-compartment free-flooding damage stability criteria, to meet the IMO-criteria for intact stability and according to the requirements of MCA for registration in the United Kingdom or Red Ensign Flag Administration as commercial motor vessel carrying not more than 12 passengers.

As usual, Abeking & Rasmussen paid special attention to noise reduction and great sea keeping characteristics. The accommodation is laid out over four decks: lower deck, main deck, boat deck and sundeck.

BRAVADO has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, 6 watertight bulkheads and double bottom tanks for fuel, freshwater, sanitary sump, sewage water, clean and dirty luboil.

Caterpillar supplied the two main engines type 3508 B with 1000 bhp each. The propeller shafts are bathed in a special oil, via a stern tube at hull penetration, with water lubricated rubber bearings at the shaft struts. They are driving five-bladed bronze propellers.

BRAVADO has two 105 kW Caterpillar 3304 B diesel generators sets with 120/208 V, 3 phase, 60 cycles, both flexible mounted with sound insulation.

Abeking & Rasmussen motor yacht Bravado listed for sale

The 44.9 metre Abeking & Rasmussen motor yacht Bravado has been listed for sale by Ralph de Joode at Kitson Yachts.

The Reymond Langton -designed yacht was delivered in 2004 by German yard Abeking & Rasmussen at their Lemwerder shipyard. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the Lloyds classed yacht for sale comfortably sleeps 12 guests in six cabins.

The accommodation comprises a master suite, one VIP stateroom, two double cabins and two twins, while a crew of 12 ensures a relaxed luxury atmosphere on board.

The owner of Bravado benefits from a suite located on the bridge deck, complete with an XXL king-size bed alongside a stunning bathroom in Bianco pie and Gaya grey marble. Enclosed from the stateroom are the owner's office and gym, a space that features a rowing machine, exercise bike, Kenesis fitness wall and a pilates bed. In the office, the desk overlooks the ocean.

On the main deck, highlights include a spacious main saloon with comfortable seating and large windows providing natural light. Aft is a formal dining area, alongside a cinema room.

Moving outside, the sundeck hosts an al fresco dining area and Jacuzzi with a hardtop providing shade. Guests can enjoy panoramic sea views, or out over the aft deck with further seating.

Twin MTU 16V 2000 M70 diesel engines provide the yacht with a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles.

Bravado is asking €21,900,000.

A superb 164ft (50m) Ron Holland-designed Perini Navi sailing superyacht, BARACUDA VALLETTA is a wonderful choice for charter for up to 10 guests, available for charter in the waters of Croatia, Turkey, the Italian Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia.

A head-turning ketch with her hull built in aluminium for speed and seaworthiness, BARACUDA VALLETTA has a classic exterior, with expansive decks for guests to enjoy socialising and sun bathing in absolute luxury. Her aft deck has space for lounges, while the undercover cockpit is a great place for dining. Above the flybridge has seating and tables underneath the shade of BARACUDA VALLETTA’S incredible carbon fibre masts and magnificent sails.

One of the most notable unique features of this one-of-a-kind sailing charter yacht is the large fold-out staircase which extends from the transom to create a brilliant swim platform for launching the tender or taking a dip!

The ultra-modern interiors aboard BARACUDA VALLETTA were designed by the acclaimed John Pawson, whose vision for the yacht was to create “contemporary, minimal, clear lines based on the concepts of light, space and proportion”.

Light, bright and thoroughly modern, the décor is nonetheless welcoming and warm, with a masterful use of light timbers, a neutral palette and subtle LED lighting.

The saloon is cleverly divided into lounge and dining, with massive windows to take in the view, and shades to provide protection and privacy. The high-tech AV system comprises Kaleidescape Video on demand, centralised system with music and movies that can be operated by an iPad throughout the yacht, Satellite TV, Fleet broadband an wi-fi throughout.

ACCOMMODATION

Accessed by beautiful, LED-illuminated stairs, there are five spacious cabins aboard BARACUDA VALLETTA: one king, two queen and two twin for up to 10 guests in tranquillity and comfort. All cabins have ensuites and the master stateroom boasts his and hers bathroom and an office. The ambience has a Zen-like quality, achieved through thoughtful design and styling.

BARACUDA VALLETTA will spoil her guests with a garage-full of the latest gear, including a 5.7m tender, diving equipment, Seabob, canoes, waterskis, tubes, banana, monoski, wakeboard, SUP, plus fishing and snorkelling equipment.

Sailing yacht BARACUDA VALLETTA is a 50-meter aluminum ketch, features many important project innovations. Her retracting keel passes from 4 meters to 9.7 meters and the transom door can be almost entirely opened up and transformed into a large swimming platform. Boasting a Ron Holland design, the 50-meter sailing yacht is already known for her excellent sailing performance.  This  Perini Navi built mega yacht also makes a strong visual impact on several fronts, primarily by the color of the hull which is metallic gray with shades of gold, the unusual rectangular windows, and the sails which come in flaming purple.

Interiors of the superyacht BARACUDA VALLETTA are based on extreme simplicity and clear lines. Conceived British architect John Pawson, the guru of modern minimalism, interior design is based on the concepts of light, space, and proportion. Indeed, the yacht’s volume and use of space amaze Perini Navi yacht charter enthusiasts.

Upon entering the main saloon, it is clear than Pawson has achieved his goal of stunning yet subtle effects. The main deck is an open living space.  It has a central staircase and no partitions. The design aim is for a much clearer and unencumbered vision.  Subsequently the case on sailboats as opposed to motor yachts. The walls and bulkheads are of white lacquer and parchment.  Specifically, the latter chose not only for the subtle beauty of its color and texture.  In addition, for the way it serves to soften or “dematerialize” the central stair volume. Pawson’s architectural background is evident in the spatial fluidity that links the wheelhouse, the main saloon, and the aft cockpit.

Her aluminum hull has aggressive, aerodynamic lines.  They are an unconventional color.  In specific, metallic gray with shades of gold.  In addition, this combines with the silvery reflections of the superstructure. This contemporary appeal echoes in the portholes. Specifically, in an unusual rectangular shape.

The two aluminum masts are shades of silver.  The main mast is 56.7 meters or 186 feet.  Her mizzen mast is 42.9 meters or 140 feet.  In addition, the carbon fiber boom.  All 3 designs built by Perini Navi’s Mast Division team. The 1,416m² (15,241 square foot) sail area is a flaming purple.  Further, a chromatic effect with a strong visual impact.

Luxury Superyacht BARACUDA VALLETTA is a 50,00m Perini Navi sailing yacht launched in 2008 and was designed by Perini's in-house naval architects teamed with New Zealander Ron Holland. The luxury sailing yacht features recognisable Perini Navi trademarks including her deckhouse lines, with curved windows and long flying bridge. Her aluminum hull, tapering and deep semi-compensated rudder, extended waterline, and lead ballasted swinging keel, makes this superyacht the latest evolution of the successful 50 meter series . This ketch also makes a strong visual impact primarily by the colour of the hull which is metallic grey with shades of gold and the sails which come in flaming purple. The hydraulically operated swimming platform can be submerged 8 inches below the water's surface accessed by guests via a staircase on the Aft Deck. BARACUDA VALLETTA’s Main Deck is one level and is 22 meters in length from the aft sunken cockpit throughout the inner wheelhouse. The extended windows provide natural lighting and panoramic view. The main deck is conceived as open living space, with no partitions, with the aim to keep a much clearer, unencumbered visual field than is conventionally the case on sailing yachts of this type. The Master suite and 4 guests cabins are all located on the lower deck. The style and project philosophy are extreme simplicity and clear lines with concepts of light, space and proportion and will make every cruise stunning.
