The Ventura 2300 will truly be “two yachts in one:” Modern computer design and contemporary materials are being used by leading marine architects to create a right-sized, trailerable boat calculated to do a comfortable 25 knots with a 90HP outboard, while offering high-performance sailing, estimated at 9.5 knots offwind, and 6.5 upwind.

Comfort and Style

Comfort and style are just as important to the Ventura 2300 design as speed and agility. The seven-foot cockpit easily seats six adults, and the spacious cabin offers six-foot standing headroom, a full galley, four ample berths, two settees, and a fully-enclosed head with sink: the complete “luxury RV experience” on the trailer,  or out on the water.

The boat will be absolutely right-sized for those who want the double fun of performance sailing and dynamic power boating…anywhere you can find a boat ramp or a dock. Downsizing from a bigger yacht? You will find the “pocket” experience surprisingly roomy. Upscaling from a runabout? Welcome to the joys of a sleep-aboard cabin and onboard head.

Great for New Sailors

New to sailing, but don’t want to take weeks of classes? Our exclusive Sail-A-Matic coded ropes, paired with an innovative user manual, will simplify sailing for newbies, and finally close the knowledge gap between power and sail. Water-tank ballast makes the boat light when trailering, stable when boating. Dual rudders controlled by the easily-handled wheel keep you in control.

When we first conceived the Ventura 2300, one of our key goals was to expand the range of boating adventures available in a single boat.

You can easily trailer and launch the Ventura 2300 using a standard automobile, and it will be fully beachable. That makes it the perfect boat to explore small lakes, big lakes, any kind of river or bay— even coastal ocean waters—without doubt, the most versatile boat you will ever own.

Set sail…or speed out to your favorite fishing hole with the outboard. Just want to use it as a power boat? The mast and rigging will be easily removed, and you can head out under bridges and through the trees to explore where sailboats cannot tread.

VENTURA YACHT – Majestic $49.80M Superyacht

The VENTURA yacht is a magnificent 163.7ft luxury yacht built by the leading Dutch manufacturer, Heesen Yachts , in 2013.

She is the third in the 5000 Aluminum class and sister ship to the multi-award-winning SATORI and ICE ANGEL yachts.

Her naval architecture was built by Heesen’s in-house team in partnership with Van Oossanen & Associates , while her sophisticated exterior is penned by Omega Architects .

To complete her elegant and contemporary look, her chic interior design was made possible by Francesco Pazskowski.

Her exquisite minimalistic interior was penned by the renowned Francesco Paszkowski , an Italian yacht designer who has been creating award-winning projects for shipyards and private owners for 30 years.

The contrast between the elaborately patterned polished ebony parquet floor and the whitewashed wood wainscoting further enhances the yacht’s stylish setting, while her ambient lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere.

Specifications

VENTURA yacht has a beam of 27.9ft with a draft of 8.2ft. She measures in at 496 gross tons and is built with an aluminum semi-displacement hull and structure as well as teak decks.

She is propelled by two 2,720kW MTU engines with an output of 3650 hp each, allowing her to reach a top speed of 22 knots, a cruising speed of 18 knots, and a range of 3,200 nautical miles at 11 knots. 

She is made for adventure and travel with her 68,800 liters fuel capacity and 16,200 liters freshwater capacity to ensure guests are comfortable during their stay.

Her cabins include a full-beam owner’s stateroom, a full-beam VIP suite, two double guest suites, and two twin guest suites.

VENTURA’s exterior styling is by Omega Architects, a leading yacht interior designer known for combining creative ideas and technical knowledge to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that exudes vision, elegance, and state-of-the-art design.

She is strikingly beautiful with her custom dark metallic gray for the hull and a light metallic grey for the superstructure.

With her innovative color scheme and elegant look, she turns heads wherever she goes.

She features an expansive sundeck for guests to enjoy with sun awnings forward and aft of the mast.

The spacious 70 square meters of the deck is filled with loungers and sun pads forward alongside the Jacuzzi.

There is an outdoor entertaining area on the main deck aft containing three couches in a U-shape with two armchairs and two granite-topped tables for more space. 

Accommodation

This beautiful yacht can comfortably accommodate up to 12 passengers on board with its two master staterooms and 4 guest rooms.

Additionally, there is also accommodation for nine crew in five cabins to ensure guests are taken care of.

It has been announced that VENTURA’s price has been reduced by €2,000,000.

She has now an asking price of €18,000,000 million and is being jointly listed for sale by Melita Marine with Yachtzoo .

Ventura - 2013

This streamlined 50-metre all aluminium yacht, with exterior lines by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects, is the third in the 5000 Aluminium class and sister ship to the multi-award winning Satori and Ice Angel. However, the layout of Ventura is completely different from her sister vessels. The owners chose to have two suites: a romantic one with panoramic 280 degree views on the bridge deck aft and a second "passage suite" which will be more practical when under way, traditionally located forward on the main deck.

First impressions

The owners chose a custom dark metallic gray for the hull and a light metallic grey for the superstructure. This innovative colour scheme gives Ventura a very elegant and distinctive look.

Step aboard

Acclaimed Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski created the sophisticated minimalistic interior décor. The richly patterned polished ebony parquet floor contrasts with whitened oak panelling further enhancing this very chic environment. In total twelve guests are accommodated in six suites. As well as the two master suites, on the lower deck there’s a full-beam VIP suite plus one twin and two double suites.

Founded in 1938, Ventura Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club in Ventura County and one of the more unique clubs in the United States. VYC is a full service facility located on the west side of Ventura Harbor between the Ventura Harbor Village and the Channel Islands National Park headquarters. VYC owns and operates a 91 slip marina for members and maintains a spacious 240-foot guest dock for members and visitors with yacht club reciprocity. The club also has a two-ton hoist and dry storage spaces for trailerable boats up to 30 feet. VYC offers a wide variety of boating activities, social events, weekend dining and even a youth program that has introduced hundreds of youngsters to the sport of sailing.

Junior Sailing Program

Our youth sailing program is open to 8-18 year old kids in the summer for week-long sailing classes from June to August. You don't have to be a member of the club to sign your kids up. Space is limited, so get your registration forms in the Spring so you can enroll your junior sailors!

Deconstruction to remove temporary sand berms along Ventura County Coastline begins

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif.—Two sand berms were constructed as a short term solution following the high surf and storm surges in December.

“We're actually standing right at the end of Seaward, which made national news when a sneaker wave, came up over beach and knocked several of our residents down. There were impacts throughout the city that necessitated the building of the berm to prevent further impacts from super events, from damaging property and potentially boats,” said Emergency Services Director Mackenzie Douglas.

The berms span three-fourths of a mile in Ventura and two miles in Oxnard.    Both cities are working with Ventura County Fire and State Parks to clear the coast before nesting season of the snowy plover bird.

“They look kind of like an oversize fluffy cotton ball with these little Twiggy legs. They're very cute. They're on the verge of being endangered, but they're not quite endangered yet. There's only about 2000 of these species left on the Pacific coast,” said Senior Parks and Recreation Specialist Kate Wilson.

Years of habitat damage and human interference have led to this shorebird’s decline, but things are looking up.     It's kind of a neat success story to look at as a creature that's kind of on the verge of going away. Yet with just a little bit of help from the state agencies. They're able to make this comeback and they're starting to increase the numbers. We didn't always have them nesting at this beach, and they started within the last decade. And we're seeing the number of nests each year increase,” said Wilson.   The removal process will continue over the next five days.   People are urged to stay clear of all work areas.
