Europe Yacht Charter. Montenegro is located in the Mediterranean bordering Croatia. It is a country filled with over 300 km of rugged coastline in the Adriatic. The Balearic Islands. One of the best places for a Europe yacht charter is in the Balearic Islands, with the islands of Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentera. Each island has its own unique and wonderful sites to see and experiences to be had.

Mallorca. As the largest of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca is the perfect spot and is one of the best places to sail in the summer. Mallorca’s landscape is diverse and with over 340 miles of coastline, it features some of the most beautiful beaches and coves in the world.

Ibiza.  Ibiza is another one of the best places to go on a Europe yacht charter as it is an island with many personalities. It is one of the few places in the world where visitors’ can find top-notch nightclubs amidst extraordinary natural beauty, and deep-rooted local tradition, Ibiza should be on everyone’s radar. Appointed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, Ibiza Town Port, Dalt Vila, is a wonderfully preserved center of Ibizan history and heritage.

Europe Yacht Charter. The Turkish Riviera is a 1,000 mile stretch of coastline, with green mountains, crystal clear waters, historic sites, and superb beaches. From diving in Antalya, the archaeological site of Ephesus, the vibrant city of Fethiye, Ölüdeniz lagoon, and the medieval castle, and underwater museum in Bodrum. The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is due at the time of the final charter payment. Under MYBA terms, this sum is usually equivalent to 30 per cent of the total charter fee, but may be up to 40 per cent in some cases.

Intended to cover the operating expenses of a charter as explained under Charter Terms, such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees and ad hoc incidentals, the APA will be given to the captain before the start of your charter. The Captain will ensure that the yacht is fully fuelled and provisioned when you step on board. While an up-to-date summary of accounts can be requested at any time during your charter, a full set of accounts will normally be submitted by your captain at the end of the cruise. If, during the charter, the expenditure exceeds the sum already paid, additional cash funds will be required at once.

All outstanding bills from the yacht charter should be settled in cash or by bank transfer before your final disembarkation. Of course, any remaining credit at the end of your charter will be reimbursed to you in full. On request, transfer arrangements to and from the yacht can be made by Burgess or by the yacht’s captain, payment for which will be deducted from your APA.

In the Spring

In this period, we suggest that you head towards Croatia, Greece, Sicily, Sardinia or the Balearic Islands. In Greece, we particularly recommend visiting Lefkada – belonging to the Ionian Islands – in the west. The town of Préveza in the southwest and the famous island of Crete are also excellent choices. In the summer

When summer is approaching, many people sail on the Mediterranean Sea; the busiest months are July and August. Sardinia is among the most popular sailing destinations ; the northern and northeastern parts are rich in anchorages, even though they can still get full in the summer. There is a strong summer wind present on the island, so it is recommended to sail counter-clockwise. Would you prefer to avoid large crowds? Spain and France, as well as the southern part of Sardinia, Tunisia, the northern part of the Aegean Sea, and the Peloponnese, are all considered quiet regions.
