A rare look inside Nord, the $500 million megayacht of Russia’s richest man Alexei Mordashov. The 464 feet long tuxedo donning warship has palatial interiors. For extra fun, its garage has a hovercraft, a deep-diving submarine, ATV’s, a few Toyota Land Cruisers, and more.

The video shows us first-hand the elegance and enormousness of a megayacht in the truest sense of the term. From seemingly unending corridors to well-appointed interiors and the most insane tender garage, the Nord is a massive ship that’s impressive from the word go.

Amadea: Peek Inside This Amazing Superyacht

' src=

Amadea: When you think about what a superyacht should be, then a lot of luxury features will immediately spring to mind such as plush interiors, gleaming decks, rows of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass walls, as well as plenty of fun things included to keep us amused.

Nothing embodies the idea of a perfect mega-yacht more than the 106.5-metre Amadea mega-yacht, a veritable floating palace of a luxury vessel being the most detailed superyacht ever built!

The Amadea yacht was built from steel and aluminium in 2017 by German shipbuilders Lürssen, and is currently up for sale with Imperial the Monaco-based luxury yacht broker, and is looking for her next privileged owner.

However, the next lucky owner of this amazing yacht will grab themselves an absolute bargain because even though the Amadea is classed as ‘brand-used’, it has been refurbished to be in an even better condition than you would get when buying an off the peg new-build.

According to Imperial’s management team, the Amadea is a “true turn-key superyacht” because of the precise synchronisation between all parties that were responsible for creating such luxury.

So, what’s inside? Let’s take a peek inside one of the most desirable luxury yachts on the market today…

To infinity and beyond

Amadea Mega-Yacht

One of the first eye-catching features that guests will notice once they board the Amadea mega-yacht is the 10-metre mosaic-lined infinity pool that sits on the main deck created by exterior designer Espen Øino. Taking a cooling dip in this pool will really allow guests to connect with the splendour of the sea and the beautiful surroundings wherever the owner chooses to anchor the yacht.

The Amadea has a clamshell arrangement of three overlapping shell structures containing five decks that hold endless world-class features to entertain her honoured guests, including a cooling air-ventilation system to keep guests and crew cool and comfortable, a future-proof bridge and a very grand white marble central staircase fitted with red carpet that links up each deck on the yacht.

The decks contain many hidden and convertible features such as a deck with 20,000 Watts of built-in speakers, lights and lasers, and a spa pool that can be converted into a stage for live bands or DJ’s to play.

Even the cinema on the bridge deck can be retracted when not in use, but when in use you can really get into the zone with the film you are watching because the two main sofas have D-Box motion control, allowing you to tip and move around mimicking the motion seen on-screen. The cinema even has its own popcorn machine!

Designer interior layout

Every detail of the interior décor has been carefully chosen. From the custom-built furniture to the matching books and ornaments, interior designer Zuretti left nothing to chance and pulled out all the stops to over-deliver a high level combination of chic comfort and class.

Amadea Mega-Yacht

Zuretti was given a brief from the original owner asking for an authentic classic representation with the integration of classic furniture from the 18th century. You really get this feel as you walk through the yacht with alcohol, books and accessories being a key part of the interior design.

Øino and Zuretti collaborated extremely well to deliver external and interior designs that complement each other perfectly. Cosy and intimate nooks are not in short supply on board with plenty of recessed seating kitted out with cushions and sun loungers in warm, organic tones.

There are very eye-catching features to take in, such as the hand-painted Michelangelo clouds above the dining table, backlit bottles of whiskies, brandies and rums behind the bars, and the stainless steel, onyx panels and deck motifs.

All play and no work?

Despite the Amadea mega-yacht being unmistakably built for pleasure and leisure, the business needs of the guests have not been overlooked. The multi-functional bridge deck offers a private space for guests to conduct digital business meetings or to catch up with the news through the onboard cinema.

The main remit for the Amadea’s general arrangement was to deliver a luxury yacht with plenty of space, privacy and intimacy that meets with all purposes for both business and pleasure.

Amadea Mega-Yacht

Other unique features you can find aboard include a helipad, outdoor firepit, gym, beauty centre, four Sea Doo watercraft, a vast art deco-style albatross off the bow that was created by Netherlands artist Willem Lenssinck, a ‘guests galley’ on the top deck that offers guests the opportunity to cook their own food with a grill area, copper pots and pans, a live lobster tank, and use of a winter patio dining area.

There is even a storage area containing a teppanyaki grill, a rotisserie and a hog-roaster. The yacht also has a crane to lift the equipment overboard so you can moor up and take your party to the beach!

Inside the World of Mega Yachts — How the Super Rich Find Their Dream Boats

Why giga-yachts are the next big thing in the billionaires' playground.

The 242-foot 'Cloud 9' is priced at $95,709,000 and is also available for charter.

S uper-yachts, mega-yachts, giga-yachts — the billionaires’ play toys keep getting bigger and bigger, not to mention more costly.  Just ask Burgess Yachts head of sales director Richard Lambert. The dashing businessman, based in Monaco, made a swift visit through Houston on his way to the Miami Yacht Show  and shared his insights on the surprisingly burgeoning world of private yachting.

He noted that yacht charters already booked for the coming year, exceed 2018 bookings by 20 percent. With a stable of 750 yachts available for charter and 35 offered for sale, Burgess, which was founded in 1975, is one of, in not the, largest company of its kind worldwide. Count 13 offices globally and 200 employees.

Lambert allows that the United States is the firm’s largest market and that Dallas and Houston are strong. In fact, chartering and sale of the Houston-owned 190-foot   Lady Sheridan is handled through Burgess.

Dramatic interior design of the 'Lady Sheridan' was executed by the owner's talented wife.

Just how do the mega rich distinguish between these hyperbolic yacht descriptions, we asked. While there are no rules for describing these floating palaces, Lambert says that, generally speaking, a super-yacht measures in at nothing less than 100 feet, while mega-yachts stretch to 250 feet and the largest private vessels afloat, or the recently-coined giga-yachts , push the limits at 300 feet and well beyond.

Among those earning the Olympian status are the 593-foot Azzam , owned by the Emir of Abu Dhabi, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich’s 533-foot Eclipse,  and the Sultan of Oman’s 509-foot Al Said .

Of these immense yachts, Burgess recently sold the 361-foot Jubilee , originally built for the Emir of Qatar, which had an asking price of $310 million. This beauty boasts 16 guest cabins and a crew of 45. It was the most expensive vessel in Burgess’ portfolio which has offerings for lesser yachts that begin at $5 million.

By Katia Damborsky   27 July 2018

New video footage reveals the freshly refurbished interiors inside the 83m/271ft  luxury yacht O'MEGA .

One of the largest charter yachts available in Greece , O’MEGA was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 2004 and underwent a refit in 2015 by Italian design house Studio Vafiadis. Her sophisticated new look is now ready to be showcased in time for the summer season.

With the capacity to sleep up to 30 charter guests, O’MEGA is an impressive feat of engineering that is perfect for larger groups looking to experience a private yacht charter. She can be accessed via her private limousine tender, and is instantly recognisable from afar thanks to her sleek white exterior complete with polished lines and concave shapes.

Her interior is similarly elegant, featuring arctic white tones infused with classic dark wood and vibrant pops of blue.

Taking full advantage of her size, she includes ample outdoor space. A Jacuzzi lined with sunpads can be found on the sundeck, along with a shaded al fresco dining area that will prove popular with charter guests looking to admire the Grecian views in the comfort of the shade.

There are further spaces to dine both inside and outdoors, making her a flexible charter option that suits the needs of all of her guests.

The refit has also upgraded the salons, which are now refined and enjoyable places to relax and socialise. She includes a state-of-the-art cinema and a gym with plenty of facilities to appease guests looking to exercise while afloat.

As seen in the video, O’MEGA is an impressive motor yacht that exudes grandeur and grace. She would be perfect for guests looking to host an event charter on account of her size and her on-board entertainment facilities.

Inside Jeff Bezos’ $400 Million Megayacht: The Flying Fox

With a net worth of $188 Billion dollars, Jeff Bezos owns some pretty incredible stuff. Let's take a look at his $400 million mega-yacht.

In July 2021, Amazon 's founder Jeff Bezos decided to finally leave the company he'd put much of his blood, sweat, and tears into, where he was not only the president but also the CEO - a position that was profusely intense and time-consuming, to say the least. With an estimated net worth of nearly $190 billion and an age of 57 at the time, it made sense for Bezos to leave his hard-working life behind to enjoy some of his well-earned bucks.

One of the first things Bezos did was what any billionaire would after or even before retirement: buy a massive yacht. Called 'The Flying Fox', the ultra-luxury boat was supposedly commissioned by the Amazon founder in 2019 to be built by Lürssen Yachts , and at a whopping price tag of around $400 million dollars, it's said to be the 18th largest yacht in the world in terms of overall size, and the 14th largest regarding interior space. Before getting on with this amazing yacht, make sure to check out this insane car that's also owned by Jeff Bezos.

The Flying Fox isn't just special because it's owned by Amazon's founder and one of the world's richest people, Jeff Bezos; it's also an incredible piece of machinery in its own right that's nothing short of a private luxury hotel that floats. Let's take a look inside:

Jeff Bezos' Flying Fox: An Overview Of The Megayacht's Interior

With a length of 466 feet and a width of 74 feet, The Flying Fox's gigantic size accommodates 22 pairs of guests in 11 different rooms, all with their very own private terraces and ensuite bathrooms. While the exterior and body of the yacht were designed by the widely renowned Naval Architect, Espen Øino, the interior was actually imagined by Mark Berryman, and it features a theme that gravitates mostly around wooden trimming and decor.

The mega-yacht has a total of 6 decks, and amongst them, you can find a two-story 4,300 square-foot spa with a wide variety of amenities including rain shower massages and a cryotherapy sauna, a 40-foot pool that can go from cold to warm in 10 seconds, an enormous outdoor dining deck catered by world-class chefs, and a gym just in case you feel the need to work out in the middle of the sea. Most important of all, however, is the master bedroom, which takes up an entire deck with 348 square feet and is basically a house within the yacht.

Related: Does Elon Musk Have A Cooler Car Collection Than Jeff Bezos? You Decide

The Flying Fox Has An Entire World-Class Crew At Its Disposal

The $400 million yacht has a crew of 55 members, and all of them are the best of the best at what they do. There's a team of top-notch chefs, multiple masseurs, bartenders, gym and diving instructors, amongst many more. In terms of ship management, the crew is composed of members of the British military; which means they earn pretty high salaries for their efforts upon The Flying Fox. The captain of such a yacht can earn around $450,000 per year, while engineers make somewhere close between $100,000 and $150,000.

Passengers aboard The Flying Fox can expect an experience similar or even superior to that of an all-inclusive 5-star hotel; the added bonus is that this one can travel all around the world at an impressive top speed of 20 knots. Though it may not be as quick as this other mega-yacht you should take a look at later.

To summarize, The Flying Fox is a floating wonder that the overwhelming majority of us can only ever hope to experience, let alone own. We should clarify that Jeff Bezos' ownership of the mega-yacht is only alleged, and it cannot be confirmed for sure, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still one of the most exclusive and unattainable vehicles in the world.

84 Luxury Yacht Interiors: Bedroom, Galley and Salon Pictures

Azimut Atlantis 50 foot yacht interior design

A yacht is really just a luxury floating home . When you’re talking 70 feet and larger, they’re a lot nicer than my house. As you’ll see in the luxury yacht interiors below, the quality and aesthetics are simply gorgeous. And we merely feature a small handful of such boats. There are thousands and thousands of these worldwide.

Our epic yacht interiors article is split into 5 galleries:  staterooms, guest bedrooms , salons and dinettes, kitchens and bathrooms. The point of this article is to merely give you a glimpse inside these ultra expensive boats… expensive to buy, run and maintain. Be sure to also check out our yacht decks galleries .

Yacht Primary Bedrooms (Staterooms)

We kick off our yacht interiors gallery with the stateroom. When it comes to the primary bedroom on these boats, no expense is spared. They are large, comfortable and stunning in design. These bedrooms are bigger than our primary bedroom.

Yacht Guest Bedrooms (2 Beds)

Many guest bedrooms on a yacht have two beds so that it can accommodate more people. However, they are, as you’ll see below, still very, very luxurious. These are certainly cozy sleeping quarters.

Abacus 70 foot - bedroom 2 beds

Salon and Dinette Photos

My favorite room on the boat is the salon and/or dinette area. In many cases, the dinette doubles as the living room. Mega yachts have dedicated salons and dining areas. I love these superb lounge designs below in the cabin as well as the upper lounge areas.

Large yacht salon interior

I must admit that kitchens on these super yachts are fairly small. I guess the cooking is done by the staff and yacht owners prefer to have more space for bedrooms, deck space and lounge space. That makes sense given there really is limited space. Nevertheless, these kitchens are gorgeous and the yacht designers certainly didn’t skimp with respect to quality.

yacht kitchen interior design

Most boats dedicate very little space to bathrooms. Not these. The primary bathrooms below are incredible. The smaller bathrooms are guest bathrooms. These luxury yachts are so large and spacious that even the bathrooms are both beautiful and comfortable to use.

Inside a resident’s apartment on board the 196m The World

Just like any modern luxury condominium or private superyacht, the only fixed element of a home on board the world’s largest private residential yacht, The World , is the square footage. Beyond that, residents of The World can redesign and customise as much as they want to make their apartment feel like their own.

“ The World is not like a cruise ship or a small yacht, where guests have little cabins and will sit in the public areas all day just to give themselves space,” explains The World’s Residential Director Andy Dinsdale. “You’ll never get that feeling of it being overcrowded here, because our residents have beautiful homes and they want to spend time in them.”

With 165 private apartments on board owned by 150 families from about 20 countries, residents discover how those living on this 196.35 metre yacht make The World truly feel like home.

Custom-designed apartments

There are 12 different styles of homes spread throughout The World ’s 12 decks, starting from studios and progressing to three-bedroom apartments spanning 301 square metres. The interior of the yacht was designed by Petter Yran and Bjørn Storbraaten, in collaboration with five original designers who worked on the interiors and apartments. Each designer of the apartments has a distinctive style; TNT Milan apartments feature yellow wood finishes, for example, while Nina Campbell-styled residences are more floral and homespun.

Once a resident purchases an apartment they can design, renovate and decorate their home in their own unique style with the help of their preferred designers – those who have styled apartments on board The World have included List GC, Jenan Interior Design, Nordic studio Luttenberger Design, AD Associates Design, YSA Designs and Interiors Idea. Over the years multiple owners have chosen to carry out refurbishments, including combining apartments, adding to the range of available configurations.

For residents planning home alterations, there are two refurbishment slots a year and many chose to schedule works during The World ’s dry dock period every three years. In 2022, 62 residents had their apartments renovated and restyled to create their dream home on board.

Another way that residents choose to add personal touches to their place on board The World is by expressing their tastes through artwork. Paintings and sculptures purchased by the residents adorn the yacht’s common spaces, while each home has a wall space directly opposite the front door where residents can hang a piece of art to personalise the welcome area. During the ship’s recent dry dock in Cadiz, Spain, 12 new art installations were received from world-renowned Saatchi, Grimaldis, and Artsy Galleries representing artists from Venezuela, Romania, Japan, Israel and the United States.

The Jensens, an American-Austrian couple who have owned a home on board The World for more than 15 years, have decorated their apartment with items from their global travels. Their living room is decorated with a glass and wood sculpture from Bali and other exotic memorabilia from their extensive travels, while a Japanese Fusuma door decorated with oriental imagery is featured in the master bedroom.

Residents chose the view

The World’s adventurous cruising itinerary has seen the superyacht traverse the globe from Antarctica to the North Pole and everywhere in between, calling in at over 1,000 ports in over 120 countries. “We are essentially a floating luxury condominium. On board The World , you can travel and take your home with you. So there’s no jet lag, and minimal customs and immigration inconveniences,” explains long-time resident and itinerary committee chairman Mr Jensen.

Not only does this mean that the ever-changing apartment views on The World satisfy residents’ wanderlust, but the sights seen out of the windows of The World are chosen by residents themselves. Itineraries are mapped out by a committee formed by residents, the two Captains and the company’s itinerary planning department and then voted for by everyone else who lives on board. Being a resident on The World means you have a say in where this superyacht cruises and the experiences that can be undertaken at each destination.

Even though there is a set itinerary, residents can easily choose to leave the ship when it suits them, with crew able to arrange all transportation necessary. “The lovely thing is that we stay in each place for a few days and we can either go out, or not go out, or book a tour, or go further inland and meet the ship at the next port,” Mrs Jensen adds.

You can host friends and family on board

“Just like in a private home or on a yacht, you can invite your friends and family to stay,” explains The World’s Dinsdale. As residents average three to four months (combined) on board during the year, they have the option of participating in The World’s guest stay programme whereby their unoccupied residence can be used by guests visiting other residents who require more space to accommodate the entire group. The guest stay programme is also available by invitation only to potential residents who would like to sample the experiences and unique lifestyle of The World before investing in an apartment.

Private chefs

There are plenty of options for food and drink on board The World , with four fine-dining restaurants and plenty more casual eateries and bars offering delicacies influenced by itinerary destinations. But for inspired residents wanting something not on the menu, The World constantly changes the dining experience by inviting guest chefs on board. Notable chefs who have boarded The World as she cruises close to shore have included multi-Michelin star holders Curtis Duffy of Chicago, Kiko Moya of Alicante, Suriname-born Soenil Bahadoer and northern European chefs Jonas Andre Navik, Viki Geunes and Silvio Nickol.

For residents who want to host a party with a specific menu in mind, The World can offer residents a private culinary experience in their home. One time Mrs Jensen used the private chef service was when The World was in Russia as she wanted to taste an authentic beef stroganoff served by local chefs. What she describes as a “very memorable dinner” was completed with a silver-service dining setup organised entirely by The World’s crew, who serve residents in the same capacity as yacht crew and private home staff.

A small selection of homes on board  The World, Residences at Sea  are available for resale every year. Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly gifted himself a $300 million megayacht, dubbed “Launchpad,” ahead of his 40th birthday.

The staggering 387-foot-long vessel was seen floating at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after arriving at its berth earlier this week, The Sun reported Thursday.

The multi-layered luxury ship’s sleek exterior was designed by Espen Øino International and boasts a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, according to SuperYacht Times.

Reportedly ranking as the 45th largest yacht in the world, the interiors are just as aesthetically pleasing and reportedly executed by Zuretti Interior Design company, a France-based company specializing in unique and custom yacht design.

The breathtakingly beautiful floater stands out with a navy blue theme matching an American flag perched proudly on its wood-paneled stern.

There are several outdoor areas where the social media maven will be able to relax with his family and the indoor levels feature glass paneling allowing for tons of natural light.

The Feadship-built yacht, built in 2022, can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard, requires a crew of 48, and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com .

Boatworld insiders have been buzzing with speculation that Zuckerberg is the owner of the newly minted mega-cruise ever since it made its main voyage from the Netherlands last week.

The tech titan was spotted touring the Russian-commissioned megayacht in early March, though the impressive boat didn’t arrive stateside until this week due to sanctions, according to The Sun.

The website reported that Zuckerberg purchased the pricey yacht – along with its own $30 million partner boat — most likely as an early 40th birthday present to himself.

The boat reportedly traveled to Florida after being granted special permission to be imported just weeks ahead of Zuckerberg’s birthday on May 14.

Zuckerberg’s yacht is just 30 feet shorter than the length of fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos’ 417-foot megayacht Koru, which the Amazon boss snagged for a whopping $500 million.

Zuckerberg’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Why Royal Caribbean isn't going all in on massive cruise ships despite the wild success of its new Icon of the Seas

  • Royal Caribbean International has unveiled a swath of giant cruise ships over the past few years.
  • Its CEO said its new world's largest ship, the  Icon of the Seas,  is its "best-selling product" ever.
  • But the cruise line doesn't plan on going all in on megaships forever.

Insider Today

Earlier this year, guests at Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay private island were the first to revel at the historic sight of the world's largest cruise ships, Icon of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas, docked side-by-side.

The vessels towered over their communal dock like skyscrapers, casting a dark shadow over their relatively tiny shared pier.

Together, they can accommodate about 19,250 people.

At 1,196 feet long and weighing 248,663 gross tons, the Icon of the Seas is a sight to behold. When it launched in late January, the giant vessel upstaged its eight-foot shorter predecessor, the Wonder of the Seas , as the world's biggest.

At the time, it was no surprise: Every new Royal Caribbean ship seemed to dethrone another Royal Caribbean ship for this title.

But not for long.

The company's smaller ships, important for diverse trips, are aging.

The company is synonymous with its mega vessels. And they've been mega-hits: Michael Bayley, the president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, has repeatedly called the Icon of the Seas the "best-selling product" in the company's history.

Royal Caribbean is set to launch four more megaships by 2028 — representing about a third of its total fleet. So far, most of the megaships' scheduled sailings are in the Caribbean.

The other 21 smaller vessels tend to have more specialized itineraries, Patrick Scholes, the managing director of lodging and leisure-equity research at Truist Securities, told Business Insider.

Given their trimmer sizes, these vessels can operate more sailings outside the Caribbean , which often reel in high fares and customer satisfaction for the company, Jay Schneider, the chief product-innovation officer at Royal Caribbean Group, told reporters in January. Think of the Mediterranean, Alaska, and South Pacific itineraries — the latter are especially important as the cruise line continues to ramp up business in Asia.

But these destination-flexible cruise liners are aging as Royal Caribbean continues to unveil their giant counterparts. The company launched its four oldest Vision-class ships, with a maximum 2,730-guest capacity, between 1996 and 1998.

They're tiny and old compared to the 2-month-old, 7,600-guest Icon of the Seas .

Looking ahead, Royal Caribbean plans to return to the basics: smaller cruise ships.

Despite the cruise line's success with mega-vessels, Schneider said Royal Caribbean is now considering a new class of ships that would start "smaller" — noting that he was "careful to say small, but less-than-large."

"The reality is, families want to go on vacations not just in the Western and Eastern Caribbean where a ship like Icon can get into," Schneider said. "They want to stay with our brand and journey to different destinations that require more versatility in ship size."

Desirable destinations such as French Polynesia and Venice, Italy, have limited visiting cruises , including size restrictions, to curb pollution and overcrowding. But, as Schneider said, small-vessel-enabled specialized itineraries are also important to travelers.

Giant mass-market floating resorts also often attract first-time cruisers, enamored by their family-friendly water parks and Broadway-style shows. But after a few good vacations at sea, these no-longer-new-to-cruising guests might start craving quieter ships or more bespoke itineraries.

"Alaska cruises tend not to be the first-time cruiser," Scholes told BI. "I don't really see Icon of the Seas doing a Norwegian Fjord or Alaska trip."

Plus, "there's probably only so much demand for these giant ships," Scholes said.

Royal Caribbean has already succeeded in the first part: bringing in a swath of new cruisers with its megaships. Now, it has to retain them.

U.k. scripted content orders -- including from streamers -- drop sharply. bbc holds steady, '3 body problem' creators say season 2 will be even better. will they get one.

Typically, adding one conversational scene wouldn’t have caused such a long delay, but the Hollywood strikes extended the time it took to get the episode shot.

“We got the scene written the day before the strike,” Weiss recalled to The Hollywood Reporter. “It was literally five pages, but we really thought it was worth doing. Netflix was great about it. It would have been very easy for them to be like, ‘You have a finished show that is ready to air, for us to hold that [for a scene that’s] five minutes of two people in a bar … that it took some fortitude for them to just say, ‘Yeah.'”

Since the show’s release last week, the Rotten Tomatoes review scores for 3 Body Problem , both critic and audience, have gradually climbed (now up to 77 and 78 percent, respectively), while the show has risen from No. 2 to No. 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 viewership chart. The jury is still out whether drama will get a second season, but the showrunners have said it would be even better than the first .
