Makruzz  - Makruzz is currently operating with its Makruzz Gold 2 and Makruzz Pearl 3 ferry for the month of March. Makruzz Gold 2 has 3 classes - Premium, Deluxe and Royal. Makruzz Pearl has only 1 class which is a Premium class. This cruise is operational from Port Blair to Havelock, Havelock to Neil , Neil to Port Blair and Havelock To Port Blair . Please note that the ferry timings in Andaman keeps changing and we make sure you are updated with the latest timings and availability of the ferry tickets while booking. We advise consulting with the ferry operator about the timings again 1 day before your departure date. Just in case any changes happen because of payload or technical issues.  

Green Ocean  - Green Ocean is also sailing from Port Blair to Havelock Island. The ferry starts early around 6 AM from Haddo Jetty at Port Blair. This ferry has an open deck to enjoy the view of the sea. Green Ocean cruise has Economy, Luxury and Royal classes. Both Green Ocean 1 and Green Ocean 2 operates from Port Blair to Havelock Island.

Green Ocean 1 - Open Deck as of March 2024 is not operational  

ITT Majestic - This is another high-speed ferry that operates from Port Blair to Havelock Island. This ferry has good spacious seating. You can consider selecting ITT Majestic when you travel from Port Blair to Havelock Island.  

Aashi  (Not Operational) - Aashi cruise is the latest of all the cruises and is pretty good. The cruise operates from Port Blair to Havelock Island and the sailing time is at 6:30 AM. Aashi cruise has Deluxe and Luxury classes. Aashi vessel has stopped all its operations in Andaman Islands as of 2023.  

Government ferry from Port Blair To Havelock Island

Government ferry sails from Port Blair to Havelock Island on a regular basis. Earlier this ferry used to sail in the morning and after from Port Blair. However, lately only one sailing of Government ferry happens from Port Blair to Havelock. There is no online booking of Government ferry and you need to stand in a queue and book the tickets as per availability on the given date. Check the Government ferry details and timings here  Please note that the timings may change and you need to get the exact information after reaching Andaman Islands for your trip to Havelock.  

It's a must you need to book your ferry tickets online before coming to the Andaman Islands. Now, the ferry schedule in the islands changes quite often and you need to keep close monitoring on your ferry booking in the Andaman Islands. Your online booking of the ferry will happen for the ferry and the seat you have selected. For any reason, if the given ferry is not available then an alternate ferry booking based upon your requirements will be provided.

Some ferry opens a few days before the trip and some ferry opens months before the scheduled journey date. We recommend travelers that your online ferry booking to Andaman be completed before the journey date. It is recommended to go on a complete tour when traveling to Andaman because on the day of your trip if any of the ferries cancels because of technical issues then our team will find an alternative ferry service in the Andaman Islands for you.

Steps To Book Ferry in the Andaman Islands  

Step 1 - Firstly you need to select a date on which you need to book a ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island. If you arrive early in the morning then you can check all the ferry schedules from Port Blair to Havelock Island at Online Ferry Booking in Andaman Islands . Please note that as per current guidelines by the administration you are required to go through an RTPCR test after you arrive in Andaman Islands. Avoid booking ferry on the day of your arrival as you may not be able to travel to any of the islands on the day you arrive. As of March 2023, an instant ferry booking for Makruzz and Nautika has launched through which you can instantly book Makruzz and Nautika ferry. For all other ferry, you need to follow the process mentioned here.  

Step 2 -  After reaching the " Ferry Booking Page " you can filter the page based on your date of travel. So if suppose your travel date from Port Blair to Havelock Island is on 20-October-2021 then make sure you filter the date to the date of travel. Post this you can click on the " Search " button. You can also select the from and to destination before clicking on the search button.  

Step 3 - After you click on the search button and if no results are found in the data records it means either the ferry service on those dates is currently not open or the ferry is sold out for those dates. We recommend you to " CONTACT US " in such cases. You can drop an email to [email protected] with your contact number for our ferry service team to get in touch with you.  

Step 4 - If relevant results from Port Blair to Havelock Island are displayed then you can then select the appropriate ferry time along with ferry type and proceed to " BOOK NOW "  

Step 5 - Enter the traveler details for the selected ferry and the selected sector such as from Port Blair to Havelock Island and other islands such as Neil and Baratang and then proceed to payment.  

Step 6 - After filling in all the traveler names, age and gender proceed to next and make the payment via the CCAvenue payment gateway  . Once the payment is successful you will be given a unique Booking ID. This booking ID is your reference for your online booking. Once your Booking ID is generated our team will automatically get the notification and our team will go ahead with the booking as per availability and will share with you the tickets within few hours.  

Step 7 - Once you have received the tickets, please print a copy of the ticket and bring it with you to board the ferry. Please check with the ferry operator one day before your trip to reconfirm your sailing schedule. Sometimes because of technical issues or surveys ferry timings may get changed. A cross-check from your end will help you with a hassle-free experience in Andaman. The number to contact will be provided in the tickets that we provide you after your booking is confirmed. 

IMPORTANT SUGGESTION - Ferry booking in Andaman Islands is very important to visit Port Blair , Havelock and Neil Island . If you don't find a ferry from Port Blair to Havelock Island then you will not able to visit Havelock. Its recommended to book your ferry in advance.

If you are planning a tour by yourself then please note that in case of ferry rescheduling or cancellation because of technical issues or weather conditions then the ferry operators may not help you find any alternative arrangements of the ferry for you to go from Port Blair to Havelock Island . This may happen so we recommend you to keep in touch with local people in the islands for any support or changes that may occur at the last moment.

It's advisable to book ferry tickets in advance when travelling to the Andaman Islands, especially during the peak tourist season, to secure your seats and schedules. Last-minute bookings may be risky due to limited availability, so planning ahead is recommended for a smoother travel experience.

Different ferry operators have varying policies for infants:

• Makruzz and ITT Majestic: No charges for infants under 1 year.
• Green Ocean: No charges for infants under 2 years.
• Nautika/Nautika Lite: Infants under 2 years are not charged in full, but there is an INR 105 + 50 PSF fee per infant.

Booking directly through the ferry operator's official website grants access solely to their services and support. Conversely, Go2Andaman is a partnering platform that consolidates information from multiple operators, offering a broader array of choices, potential discounts, and superior user experiences and customer support.

The only ferry providing Open Deck Access is Green Ocean 1; all other ferries are fully enclosed, offering a panoramic view of the sea.

The distance between Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair and the boarding point for Private Ferries at Haddo Jetty is around 5 km. It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to reach there by auto-rickshaw or taxi. In case you plan to take the Government Ferry, you will have to go to Phoenix Bay Jetty, which is 10-20 minutes away.

Ferry seat categories offer different comfort levels, sea views, and legroom. The base category is like economy class on a flight and is below deck. The mid and upper categories are above deck and like business class on a flight.

We do not accept booking requests for routes from mainland India (such as Kolkata, Vizag, or Chennai) to Andaman, Little Andaman, or any restricted islands.

Book ferries for four routes: Port Blair to Havelock Island, Havelock Island to Neil Island, Neil Island to Port Blair and Havelock Island to Port Blair.

When you take a ferry, your luggage will be subjected to an X-ray scan for security purposes. Please note that only checked-in luggage can carry alcohol up to 1 liter per person. It is not allowed to carry alcohol in hand baggage. Additionally, you are allowed to carry small hand luggage and check-in luggage that weighs up to 25 KG per person.

While it is advisable to have a printed ticket with you during the boarding process, it is not mandatory.

To ensure a smooth boarding process, we suggest arriving at the jetty at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If you're traveling with children or seniors, we recommend arriving 1 hour prior to departure. Please note that boarding gates close 30 minutes before departure, so please plan accordingly.

The Ferry Operators/Go2andaman will use the email and phone number provided at booking for communication regarding cancellations or rescheduling. You need to keep these accounts active and accessible.

If a ferry sailing is canceled due to uncontrollable factors, passengers are offered a free rescheduling option based on availability. If this option is not satisfactory, a full refund can be requested.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
