Alpha Marine Yacht Designers & Naval Architects will commence construction on luxury yacht THE FIRST , a 47m/154ft Diesel-electric hybrid, before the end of 2022.

M/Y THE FIRST will be built in Greece under the new firm ProMarine Yachts S.A. She has been designed for an experienced Owner with an on-trend appearance of a ranked bow and sweeping lines to the stern which will stand the test of time. Her sleek hull will match and exceed RINA classification while providing excellent stability and manoeuvrability, and low resistance at sea. Of note is her cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion with Azimuth thrusters, which few yachts in this size category have installed.

Superyacht THE FIRST offers comfortable living for long-term cruising as well as for charter use, and the semi-custom model has the choice of 5-6 en-suite cabins to sleep up to 12 guests. She provides plenty of storage for a wide array of water toys in addition to other coveted amenities while remaining below a volume of 500 GT.

Alpha Marine ‘s newest superyacht concept was designed to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Aptly christened Future, the giant 318-foot expedition yacht was conceived by the Greek yacht design and naval architecture firm to appeal to a new wave of adventurous seafarers by satisfying their urge to travel the globe without giving up the comforts of home.

“Future sets the start of the new era at Alpha Marine as she interprets eco-friendly technology, cutting-edge naval architecture and has a dynamic and contemporary design,” Alpha Marine’s Aristotelis Betsis told Robb Report. 

The go-anywhere vessel is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system comprising an electric motor, four diesel generators, two azimuth thrusters and the requisite battery packs. This not only results in fewer emissions, but gives those aboard more autonomy and independence, too. As for speed, Alpha Marine estimates Future will be able to reach 18 knots at full tilt.

Billed as a “home away from home,” the explorer was designed for comfort just as much as speed. Spread across five decks, she can sleep up to 24 guests and 40 crew. The owner’s suite takes up its own private deck and features a lounge to aft and a terrace to the fore.

There’s ample room for entertaining both indoors and out, as well as a spate of amenities. To the aft of the main deck, Future sports an epic infinity pool that cascades to the beach club and swim platform below. Here, a set of hydraulic balconies can be lowered for direct access to the water. Elsewhere, the upper deck comes fitted with a couple of sizable tables for alfresco dining, while the sundeck offers its own Jacuzzi with panoramic views.

Future also comes with a full arsenal of water toys, along with a helideck on the bow to facilitate comings and goings or further exploration in remote locations.

“A true expedition yacht, she can cruise to Antarctica but can also be anchored in Mykonos and still stand out from the crowd,” Betsis adds.

Kentaurus is a 50m motor yacht by the greek yacht design and naval architecture company alpha marine ltd..

Alpha Marine Ltd. created the 50m yacht (under 500 GT) as a private yacht but as a charter yacht as well. KENTAURUS accommodates 12 – 14 passengers and a crew of 11 people in 6 cabins.

The owner’s cabin on the main deck has a size of 51.2 square meters, while the VIP cabin on the lower deck has a capacity of 21 sqm. Furthermore, there are four guest cabins with a total size of 58 sqm.

The stern area of KENTAURUS transforms into a beach club with bar and seatings by fold-out two side platforms. But even without this feature, the fixed bathing platform with sunbeds is vast for its size, well designed, and an eye turner. If you are more addicted to sweet water, you can enjoy a pool aft or a Jacuzzi at the bow.

The tender storage has a capacity for a 6.5m and 5m RIB, four Seabobs, two jetskis, and jet surfboards with hydrofoils.

Alpha Marine also had a focus on fuel-saving and developed a hydrodynamically optimized hull. The propulsion system contains 2 x 1750 KW diesel engines connected to a Voith Linear Jet system.

Alpha Marine

Alpha Marine Ltd was founded in 1985 in Greece by its present Chairman, Mr. Nikolaos Dafnias who is a Naval Architect-Marine Engineer. Since its first steps, its main activities focused on yachts and passenger vessels.

At the end of the ‘80s, Alpha Marine introduced in the Greek market the concept of the “bus size”, luxury, small Cruising Vessel”. At the beginning of the ‘90s it undertook overall management and turn-key execution of major refits, such as the one of M/Y “PRINCESS TANYA”, for which it was granted the “Best Refit Yacht 1994” Award (Showboats).

Alpha Marine Ltd began exploring the possibility of building superyachts complying with SOLAS regulations (i.e. having a transportation capacity for more than 12 guests). In collaboration with the unforgettable and progressive late Andreas Liveras, they designed and built the first Super SOLAS Yachts “ANNALIESSE” and “ALYSIA” (overall length: 85.30 m – transportation capacity: up to 36 guests). P/V “ALYSIA” was presented with the “Trendsetter Yacht” award in the 2006 Showboats Competition.

Philosophy Alpha Marine’s primary objective is customer satisfaction. Their strategy is to holistically meet clients’ requirements by treating each project as an integral unit from Concept Design, Preliminary Design and Feasibility, Structural Design, Building, to Testing and Operation.

The knowledge of tomorrow’s needs combined with the past experience leads their ways. Alpha Marine has launched the new hybrid of yachts, the SOLAS Yachts, a totally new concept in terms of construction, management and operations. Finally, everything they do is fuelled with passion. Alpha Marine Unveils New Superyacht Concept

Alpha Marine has unveiled a giant 318-foot expedition yacht concept — Future — which was drawn up by the Greek yacht design and naval architecture company to appeal to a new generation of adventurous seafarers. Future is praised for its ability to explore “any place on earth” from the Mediterranean to Antarctica. 

The yacht is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system comprising an electric motor, four diesel generators, two azimuth thrusters, and the necessary battery packs. This not only means the yacht has a lower carbon footprint, but it also means that passengers of the yacht have greater independence. Alpha Marine estimates Future will be capable of reaching speeds up to 18 knots at full tilt. 

Future is intended to be a “home away from home” and is carefully designed for comfort as well as speed. The yacht can sleep up to 24 guests and 40 crew, while the owner’s suite features its own private deck and a lounge toward the back of the boat and a terrace to the fore.  

With five decks, Future allows ample room for entertaining and guests certainly tire of things to do. The yacht features an infinity pool that descends to a beach club and swim platform below. Meanwhile, the upper deck is fitted with tables for alfresco dining and the sundeck hosts a hot tub with a panoramic view of the ocean.

Alpha Marine Ltd: New project “The First” 47m

Alpha Marine has signed a new contract for the construction of a new 47 meter Diesel Electric Superyacht named “The First”.

With the design stage to be at a progressed level, the yacht will be built in Greece and branded under the new Superyacht firm - ProMarine Yachts S.A. envisioned and commissioned by an experienced Owner in the industry.

The keel laying of the first hull is planned to begin within 2022. This new semi-custom series yacht will be benefitted by different options for the interior layout offering accommodation for a five or six cabin alternative. This project will be one of a few yachts of this size on the market to be equipped with cutting edge diesel-electric set up and Azimuth thrusters.

The exterior design has been developed by Alpha Marine and is characterized by smooth lines and meticulously carved surfaces creating a true timeless yacht with character, practicality and quality as a top priority.

“The owner had in mind what he liked and what he didn’t, but the yacht should not only satisfy the owner’s taste. She has also to satisfy the taste of a greater audience, as this yacht comes first in the owner’s new venture. A long concept realization process was followed until we reached the final design. The result is a super elegant modern-classic yacht with all the dynamism a younger audience would look for.” – Aristotelis Betsis, Yacht Designer & Naval Architect. Alpha Marine is also responsible for the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of the yacht. The yacht’s hull is slender enough to offer relatively low resistance and incredible seakeeping characteristics. At the same time, the hull offers sufficient volume in order to allow space for all the onboard amenities and facilities, yet she remains under 500GT. The yacht has been designed and will be built following and exceeding the highest standards of RINA classification society.

“We created a new hull from scratch which could accommodate the yacht’s requirements in the best possible way. But our task does not end there. The structural design has been simple enough to ease the building process and sophisticated enough to reduce the weight and increase the strength of the yacht.” – Thomas Gkouliouras, Technical Director, Naval Architect.  

Emphasis has been given to the layout of the yacht, as it has been designed to offer the best experience for two main scenarios, to offer a comfortable stay for long-term living onboard and be the best choice when it comes to chartering. Therefore, independent crew circulation, sufficient storage facilities and tank capacities, adequate pantry and galley, a wide range of water toys and activities as well as comfortable guest accommodation and public areas have all been incorporated into one equation.

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is issuing Russia-related  General License 62 , “Authorizing the Wind Down of Transactions Involving Holdingovaya Kompaniya Metalloinvest AO, MegaFon PAO, Limited Liability Company USM Telecom, or Akkermann Cement Ca Limited Liability Company”,  General License 63 , “Authorizing Transactions Related to Debt or Equity of, or Derivative Contracts Involving, Holdingovaya Kompaniya Metalloinvest AO,”  General License 64 , “Authorizing Certain Transactions Involving Kommersant”, and  General License 65 , “Authorizing Transactions Related to Telecommunications and Certain Internet-based Communications Involving MegaFon PAO or Digital Invest Limited Liability Company.” OFAC is revoking Russia-related Russia-related  General License 15 , “Authorizing Transactions Involving Certain Blocked Entities Owned by Alisher Burhanovich Usmanov.”
