VIVERE Yacht for Sale

The 116-foot (35.36m) Azimut motor yacht VIVERE was launched by the renowned Italian yacht builder in 2008. A member of the brand’s Grande 116 series, VIVERE features exterior styling by Stefano Righini and interior design by Carlo Galeazzi. The yacht boasts a 24-foot (7.35m) beam and a draft of six feet, eight inches (2.04m). VIVERE’s hull and superstructure were both built in GRP. She has a gross tonnage of 248 and a cruising speed of 20 knots. Her maximum speed clocks in at 24 knots.

The interior spaces of VIVERE feature beautiful woodwork in cherry and burlewood with matte finishes that, when combined with the yacht’s beautiful furnishings, high-quality fabrics and pristine marble touches, create an elegant and welcoming atmosphere aboard. The main salon is extremely spacious. It is located aft of the dining room where guests can enjoy meals prepared by the chef in the well-designed galley, which is conveniently found next to the dining room.

Motor yacht VIVERE welcomes up to 10 guests in five palatial staterooms. The master suite is located on the main deck. It is beautifully appointed and benefits from abundant natural light provided by the large windows that surround the main deck. This stateroom features a king-size bed, a desk and settee as well as a full-beam en-suite bathroom. The yacht’s four additional staterooms, comprising two queens and two twins, are located on the lower deck. Each offers an en-suite bathroom to ensure a high level of comfort and privacy.

The on-deck spaces of Azimut yacht for sale VIVERE provide the best of the alfresco lifestyle. The yacht is outfitted with full walk-around decks that allow both guests and crew to move about the boat with ease. The oversized flybridge/sundeck is open and well-laid-out, featuring a Jacuzzi, sunpads, a dining table and sun loungers. If guests need shade, the yacht’s “hardtop” features a retractable awning. VIVERE’s “beach” is accessible when the garage door is opened to create a large swim platform to provide easy water access.

VIVERE is run by a professional crew of five who are accommodated in three crew cabins. The yacht also offers large crew quarters with a living/dining area. The yacht was built to RINA certification. She currently is not in class but can regain this classification should a new owner choose to. This vessel’s sleek and low-slung aerodynamic profile and extensive mirrored glazing, designed by Stefano Righini, are bound to catch the eye. At the top is a large, full-beam flybridge with a jacuzzi spa pool, a curved, 8-seater leather sofa, a walk-in wet bar with a Kenyon grill, as well as an open-air helm station. One level down and you find an internal mezzanine pilot house, lined in polished timber, with supreme visibility.

Onto the main deck and the sheltered, teak-lined aft-deck provides an excellent space to enjoy leisurely breakfasts or afternoon aperitifs. There is a transom dining sofa with a table, a wet bar console and steps down to a hydraulic swimming platform. Access to the transom garage is also down here, and it is large enough to hold a pair of jet-skis and a large tender, though this space can be adapted for use as a crew quarters. Space out on the foredeck may be limited, but still hosts a sofa built into the fiberglass superstructure, as well as a raised sunbed.

The reason for the reduced outdoor foredeck space becomes evident once you step inside the elongated main deck cockpit, which stretches all the way from the rear towards the bow. This Azimut Yacht has  spacious interiors have been given a stylish treatment by renowned designer Carlo Galeazzi, who has made extensive use of veneered cherrywood surfaces, rich rigatino wood floors, dark leather furnishings and wall panels, marble inserts and deluxe carpeting to create a plush and sumptuous atmosphere. A rear aft salon boasts an American-style bar inspired by the cocktail lounges of classic Art Deco hotels, four comfortable leather sofas and a dining table large enough to host 12 guests. Amidship space has been cleverly configured to provide storage room, as well as a compact cinema room and a live-in galley kitchen with zinc worktops and more equipment than a French country kitchen. Positioned forward on the main deck and benefiting from panoramic sloping windows is a stunning lounge area that can also be turned into a lavish owner’s suite.

Five below-deck staterooms for up to ten overnight guests all come with en suite facilities, while the full-beam, amidship owner’s bedroom benefits from walk-in closets, a pair of armchairs, a workstation and a bathroom with a walk-in waterfall shower, a bath, a bidet and a pair of sinks. There is also crew space snugly positioned up against the bow, with room for up to 5.

Despite the size, the Azimut 116 is a surprisingly quick and nimble mover across the water, with a pair of MTU V16 2000 M91 engines providing top speeds in excess of 25 knots and cruising speeds of 20 knots. The use of bow thrusters adds an extra level of agility, while a fuel tank of some 18,000 liters will see you venture far and wide for weeks on end. This yacht is also easy to operate thanks to a touchscreen Raymarine navigation and monitoring display.

AB Yachts was created in with the goal of setting the standard in the world of pleasure yachting. Since then it has taken distinctive steps in the boat building world.

For the first time we have seen jet drives applied to high performance craft with small dimensions. Specifically researched structural resins have been introduced, collaborating with the most innovative firms in the field of composite materials. Finite element design programs have been applied to optimize the sizes of existing structures.

Diamond has a four stateroom layout with a GYM that offers pullman berths for availability of a fifth guest stateroom. The master suite is midships and full beam. The king berth, large seating area and enormous bathroom will please even the most demanding. There is a queen berth in one of the guest suites, twins in another and bunks in the kids room. Every stateroom has a private, oversized, bathroom.

Forward of the stateroom space is an atrium that offers a great seating area for private conversations, watching football or simply relaxing. 

Forward off the Atrium is the crew area and galley. There are three crew staterooms with heads and showers. The crew has their own dining/lounging area.

On the main deck is the open, airy salon and pilothouse, The pilothouse is equiped with every modern electronic device necessary to take Diamond to amazing adventures. On first inspection you will note the simplicity in the joystick controls for the MJP jets. 

The dining salon is just aft of the pilot station. It seats ten. The roof over the dining salon opens offering great views and fresh air.

The salon is aft of the Dining salon divided by a low hutch. Immediately you will observe the large windows on this entire main deck offering great views from any location. 

The aft deck is spacious and offers entertainment space and seating as well as a large lounging area. 

The transom opens to supply storage for a tender, jetskiis, dive equipment or nearly any water sports gear.

On the main deck forward of the pilothouse and accessed by the wide walk around deck is a comfortable seating area for ten with an umbrella for sun protection. There is a tender garage on the bow for a second tender or more jetskiis.

The flybridge offers sunning, seating and dining options. There is also a pilot station on the flybridge.

Diamond will reach speeds of knots and will cruise at knots.

Mike Dicondina was looking at the numbers. As president of Hargrave Custom Yachts , he knew that the builder’s 100-footers did well on the charter market. “But I noticed on our 125 that we were able to get double the amount of money, about $85,000 a week versus $45,000,” he says. “That’s a big difference.”

He started talking with a charter-savvy owner who had already built three yachts with Hargrave, all in the 100-foot range. DiCondina told the owner about the income disparity on charter bookings, as well as the build-quality success that Hargrave had found with the 114-foot Donna Marie II, which launched in 2013 on a newly designed hull by noted naval architect Jack Sarin.

“We’re moving into the next niche in the market, and he has always been a forefront leader for us,” DiCondina says of the owner. “I said, ‘For the future, down the road, why don’t we try to make a five-stateroom boat with the on-deck master?’”

That’s how the idea was born for the 116-foot Hargrave Renaissance . She made her world debut this past February at the Yachts Miami Beach show, and by early June, DiCondina says, she already had four charters booked at the $85,000-a-week rate.

DiCondina says the clients are responding not only to the yacht’s size, but more specifically to her performance and layout. The owner of Renaissance plans to move the yacht seasonally between New England and the Bahamas, where her shallow, 6-foot draft is key for charter clients who want to get close to the beaches. With a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 23 knots, DiCondina says, Renaissance is also plenty fast for charter clients who want itineraries with more than just a handful of islands or ports along the way.

“We were shooting for 24 knots,” he says. “We hit 23. But for us, I’m impressed. Normally, a Hargrave tops out at 21 knots.”

DiCondina says that many charter clients are also responding to the accommodations layout aboard Renaissance . Each of the five guest staterooms has either a permanent king-size berth or a set of twins that can convert to kings.

“It’s huge for charter,” he says. “That’s one of the things, when we were designing the boat, we really honed in on. We wanted to set it up so that you had four or five couples. We didn’t want anybody feeling slighted. You can split the cost.”

Fit and finish aboard Renaissance are the same high quality for which Hargrave has long been known. The owner chose sapele mahogany with neutral fabrics, which he also had aboard his previous Hargrave (he found that the decor created a traditional ambience most charter clients liked).

The owner also worked with Hargrave to ensure that the builder maximized volume for guest enjoyment. Originally, the build was going to be 112 feet length overall. At the final 116-foot LOA, more possibilities presented themselves.

“When you go up to the flybridge, you have a large, expansive area,” DiCondina says. “Ten people on the boat are not going to be tight. You have the four lounge chairs aft, three separated seating areas, seating across from the bar. Space-wise, it’s really well done for a group of people to be together and not be on top of each other.”

Renaissance is chartering under the command of longtime Capt. Doug Meier, who has stocked her with countless water toys, including a remote-operated vehicle with the same kind of technology used to find the Titanic (see “ Play a Whole New Way ,” March 2016). As the captain and owner continue to perfect the charter program, might an even larger Hargrave be in the owner’s future?

“This is probably his last,” DiCondina says, “but his wife is a little younger, and she said to me, ‘Don’t worry, I’m not out.’”
