Captain: Nick Brown: Before moving to Florida, Nick grew up a second-generation yachtsman hailing from Southern California. Surfing, fishing, diving, and sailing his way through his youth. As a teenager he took every opportunity that came his way, alongside his big brother, delivering yachts up and down the US and Mexican coast with his dad, Captain Dan Brown. Shortly after turning 19, he acquired his 100-ton captains license, launching him into a commercial captain’s position aboard a 100-person passenger ferry which operated between Long Beach, CA and Catalina Island off the Pacific Coast. As Captain Nick’s career progressed, he added commercial tugboats, commercial fishing boats, multiple racing sailboats and private/charter yachts to his resume. Traveling throughout the entire Caribbean, North/South America, Pacific, Europe (including the UK and Baltic Sea), and New England. He honed his skills of becoming a seasoned charter Captain. Nick and his wife Erin, helped develop the M/Y Spirit program from day one, dedicating the last 2 1⁄2 years aboard to run her at her full potential. They are looking forward to future charter trips onboard and providing optimum service while charter clients enjoy their ideal vacation aboard the M/Y SPIRIT. Stewardess: Erin MacChesney First Mate: Michael O’Flaherty Michael started boating as a young kid learning to sail on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. Growing up, Michael had a passion for any pastime on the ocean whether the activity had been fishing, surfing or sailing. As he got older, sailing only played more of a role in his life as he pursued sailing to the competitive level competing in regattas all up and down the east coast of the United States. Aside from sailing, Michael was a dockhand at the Newport Yachting Center Marina from 2017-2021 which ultimately facilitated his start in the marine industry. Having spent many of his days sailing, fishing or surfing, Michael has an adequate understanding of the water in order to make your yachting experience more pleasant. Michael welcomes charter guests aboard for an experience of a lifetime. Chef: Skye Burris Skye grew up in a small boating community on Long Island Sound. Playing on the beach or ripping around the sound via boat every chance she got, she fell in love with being on the water. Skye went to college on an athletic scholarship studying Psychology and playing high level basketball all four years. Shortly after graduation she worked in Manhattan for a prominent American family when she felt the urge for adventure calling. Seeking to quench her thirst for adventure, she chose yachting and moved to Florida. After working as an entry level stew aboard various yachts, Skye would help by assisting in the galley watching the chef’s prepare 5-star meals for guests. Using this platform to work as an apprentice in the Galley, her culinary Chef career began. Skye loves what she does today pouring her heart and soul into every meal from breakfast to dinner! SPIRIT, 115' New Zealand Yachts Wavepiecer - Now in Palm Beach!

SPIRIT is a New Zealand dual hull Wavepiecer built to ABS Maltese Cross A1Y classifications. She was refitted in 2016 with new hull paint, overhauled Cat 3412E's, etc. Her Ken Freivokh interior design gives her exceptional interior volume, spacious deck areas and walk-arounds. Two canted counter balanced rudders are fitted allowing for trimming of the vessel, reducing the roll of the vessel when turning.

Accommodations are expansive with (5) staterooms for up to (12) guests including a full beam master suite on upper deck, (2) Queens suites and (2) twins which can convert to king berths, all with ensuite baths. Large captain's cabin with full berth on main deck along with crew quarters for (10) below deck.

The main deck salon features lounge seating, game table, bar and dining table to starboard. The salon has ample amount of natural light and views through large picture windows.

The sundeck has a U-shaped bar, flybridge helm station forward, sun pads aft and versatile deck areas for gym equipment, BBQ grill. A spiral staircase port aft leads down to the bridge deck aft, which is the private terrace for the owner's staterooms with bar and seating. On the forward deck is large seating area with Jacuzzi. A unique feature is her hydraulic submersible swim platform for tender/toys.

Powered by Caterpillar 3412E engines, with a cruising speed of 12 kts topping out at 18 kts. She is equipped with Northern Light 65KW Generators, bow thrusters, upgraded Furuno radars, 18' Brig tender, plus much more!

Price adjustment on 34m Westport motor yacht Spirit

A $455,000 price drop has been announced on the 34-metre motor yacht Spirit, listed for sale with Brendan Roney of BR Marine Group .

Built in GRP by Westport in 2010, she was refitted in 2019. Jack Sarin and Taylor Olson were responsible for the naval architecture while Marty Lowe designed her interiors.

Accommodation is for a party of up to 10 across four cabins, including a "California king bed" in the master cabin. There are quarters for a crew of five. Her open-plan main saloon is light and airy with ample, comfortable seating as well as a four-seater game table.

Forward, an eight-seater dining table of light oak is flanked by buffet style counter tops and forward the bulkhead is decorated with a "three panel art feature". A "country kitchen" with a centre island and table with U-shaped seating allows for informal dining.

The broker said: "This interior showcases a stunning, luminous design, making it the most personalized 112' interior available. Spirit seamlessly combines quality and design, featuring complementary light fabrics and wood finishes".

Twin 2,000hp MTU engines push the 212GT yacht for sale at an 18-knot cruising speed, topping out at 24 knots. Range is 1,200 nautical miles.

Shortly<br /> after turning 19, he acquired his 100-ton captains license, launching him into a<br /> commercial captain’s position aboard a 100-person passenger ferry which operated<br /> between Long Beach, CA and Catalina Island off the Pacific Coast.<br /> <br /> As Captain Nick’s career progressed, he added commercial tugboats, commercial fishing boats,<br /> multiple racing sailboats and private/charter yachts to his resume. Traveling throughout<br /> the entire Caribbean, North/South America, Pacific, Europe (including the UK and Baltic<br /> Sea), and New England. He honed his skills of becoming a seasoned charter Captain.<br /> <br /> Nick and his wife Erin, helped develop the M/Y Spirit program from day one, dedicating<br /> the last 2 1⁄2 years aboard to run her at her full potential. Growing up, Michael had a passion for any pastime on the ocean whether the activity had been fishing, surfing or sailing. As he got older, sailing only played more of a role in his life as he pursued sailing to the competitive level competing in regattas all up and down the east coast of the United States. Aside from sailing, Michael was a dockhand at the Newport Yachting Center Marina from 2017-2021 which ultimately facilitated his start in the marine industry. Having spent many of his days sailing, fishing or surfing, Michael has an adequate understanding of the water in order to make your yachting experience more pleasant. Michael welcomes charter guests aboard for an experience of a lifetime.<br /> <br /> Chef: Skye Burris<br /> Skye grew up in a small boating community on Long Island Sound. Playing on the beach or<br /> ripping around the sound via boat every chance she got, she fell in love with being on the<br /> water.<br /> <br /> Skye went to college on an athletic scholarship studying Psychology and playing high level<br /> basketball all four years. Shortly after graduation she worked in Manhattan for a prominent<br /> American family when she felt the urge for adventure calling. Seeking to quench her thirst for adventure, she chose yachting and moved to Florida. <br /> <br /> After working as an entry level stew aboard various yachts, Skye would help by assisting in the galley watching the chef’s prepare 5-star meals for guests. Using this platform to work as an apprentice in the Galley, her culinary Chef career began. Skye loves what she does today pouring her heart and soul into every meal from breakfast to dinner! Skye’s great culinary expertise aboard SPIRIT is one that all charter guests will enjoy during their time aboard. Nick Brown:<br /> Before moving to Florida, Nick grew up a second-generation yachtsman hailing from Southern<br /> California. Surfing, fishing, diving, and sailing his way through his youth. As a teenager<br /> he took every opportunity that came his way, alongside his big brother, delivering<br /> yachts up and down the US and Mexican coast with his dad, Captain Dan Brown. Shortly<br /> after turning 19, he acquired his 100-ton captains license, launching him into a<br /> commercial captain’s position aboard a 100-person passenger ferry which operated<br /> between Long Beach, CA and Catalina Island off the Pacific Coast.<br /> <br /> As Captain Nick’s career progressed, he added commercial tugboats, commercial fishing boats,<br /> multiple racing sailboats and private/charter yachts to his resume. Traveling throughout<br /> the entire Caribbean, North/South America, Pacific, Europe (including the UK and Baltic<br /> Sea), and New England. He honed his skills of becoming a seasoned charter Captain.<br /> <br /> Nick and his wife Erin, helped develop the M/Y Spirit program from day one, dedicating<br /> the last 2 1⁄2 years aboard to run her at her full potential. They are looking forward to<br /> future charter trips onboard and providing optimum service while charter clients enjoy their ideal vacation aboard the M/Y SPIRIT.<br /> <br /> Stewardess: Erin MacChesney<br /> <br /> First Mate: Michael O’Flaherty <br /> Michael started boating as a young kid learning to sail on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. Growing up, Michael had a passion for any pastime on the ocean whether the activity had been fishing, surfing or sailing. As he got older, sailing only played more of a role in his life as he pursued sailing to the competitive level competing in regattas all up and down the east coast of the United States. Aside from sailing, Michael was a dockhand at the Newport Yachting Center Marina from 2017-2021 which ultimately facilitated his start in the marine industry. Having spent many of his days sailing, fishing or surfing, Michael has an adequate understanding of the water in order to make your yachting experience more pleasant. Michael welcomes charter guests aboard for an experience of a lifetime.<br /> <br /> Chef: Skye Burris<br /> Skye grew up in a small boating community on Long Island Sound. Playing on the beach or<br /> ripping around the sound via boat every chance she got, she fell in love with being on the<br /> water.<br /> <br /> Skye went to college on an athletic scholarship studying Psychology and playing high level<br /> basketball all four years. Shortly after graduation she worked in Manhattan for a prominent<br /> American family when she felt the urge for adventure calling. Seeking to quench her thirst for adventure, she chose yachting and moved to Florida. <br /> <br /> After working as an entry level stew aboard various yachts, Skye would help by assisting in the galley watching the chef’s prepare 5-star meals for guests. Using this platform to work as an apprentice in the Galley, her culinary Chef career began. Skye loves what she does today pouring her heart and soul into every meal from breakfast to dinner! Skye’s great culinary expertise aboard SPIRIT is one that all charter guests will enjoy during their time aboard. ACCOMODATIONS and WALKTRHOGH

One can board SPIRIT on the aft deck through boarding gates either side or via the stern passerelle. When stern-to to a floating dock, one has easy access to the aft deck by boarding on the swim platform and making one’s way up via a set of steps either side of the transom. Arriving on the aft deck, one will be greeted by a spacious area with a custom teak table and built-in settee with teak chairs accommodating 8. Aft one will find a wet bar/buffet with stone top, 3 custom teak bar stools, sink, refrigeration, ice bin and storage. On the forward bulkhead one will find a 50” TV. There is additional storage either side on the aft deck in the bulwarks.

Entering the main salon, one will enter through a set of glass electric doors. Once in the main salon, one is greeted with a bright, light, and airy décor not found on any other 112’ Westport. The light décor carries throughout the entire vessel. There is a 65” TV on the starboard aft bulkhead with easy visibility anywhere in the main salon or dining area. To port is a custom-built L-shaped settee, 4 chairs and a custom coffee table. To starboard one will find a beautiful game table with 4 chairs.

Moving forward to the dining area, one will find a gorgeous light oak table with seating for 8. There are two buffet-style countertops either side with light stone and storage underneath. Above the table is a coffered ceiling with LED lighting. The forward dining bulkhead is finished with a three-panel art feature.

Moving forward to starboard, one will find the formal foyer with a well-appointed day head (bathroom) inboard finished with wood finish wallpaper and stunning fixtures. Outboard is the formal entrance where one can enter the vessel from side boarding. There is also a matching entrance door on the port side allowing one to go forward on the deck to find a circular settee with additional seating on the bow forward. Back in the vessel through the formal entrance one can go forward to find a country kitchen with center island, beautiful light stone on the island, countertops, and table. The table is nestled within a U-shaped settee with additional chairs seating 6. There is ample counter space, storage, and top-quality appliances. On the forward bulkhead one will find a 46” TV visible from everywhere in the country kitchen.

Going forward from the galley, one will go down a few steps to the beautifully appointed light and airy VIP stateroom, with a head and shower to port and a center walk-in closet on the aft bulkhead. There is a chest of drawers style storage to starboard with many drawers. To port is a custom vanity with opening top with mirror and drawers on either side. There are two-night cubbies either side with light and power plugs. Additional storage is found under the Queen berth.

Going forward from the dining area to port, one will pass outboard an entry door and inboard a door to a walk-in pantry with storage, Miele washer and dryer, and countertop with wine cooler under. Continuing forward down a set of stairs to the guest staterooms, one will land in the guest foyer where one will find beautiful stone floors and buffet style top. Going aft in the guest foyer one will find two mirror guest staterooms to port and starboard, both with twins, pullman berth and ensuite. Going forward in the guest foyer one will find a double door entry to the master stateroom. In the master, one will find a California King berth with drawers and storage underneath, a settee to port and chest of drawers to starboard, two large closets and a large his and her bath with a large stone and Onyx center shower, plus ample storage throughout. Master stateroom and all guest staterooms are equipped with full entertainment systems.

One can get to the flybridge from stairs on the aft deck or through the pilothouse. When reaching the pilothouse one will find state of the art nav equipment with leather dash, hood, and leather countertops, Crown Limited helm chair, desk area with chair, leather circular settee with table and visibility out 270%, all with a soothing light gray décor. One can enter the flybridge up a few steps through a companionway. On the flybridge you will find a full nav/helm station with outboard wing stations for easy maneuvering. To port, there is a custom teak bar with 4 bar stools with backs, stainless sinks, BBQ, refrigerator and storage. To starboard one will find outboard a large L-shaped settee with 2 custom hi-lo teak tables with a leaf to make one large dining table. Going aft down a few steps one will find to port a large Jacuzzi with large sunbed when not in use as a jacuzzi. To starboard one will find a large sun pad area with cushions and pillows. Further aft is the storage for the tender and jet skis when underway and a clear deck with umbrellas and chairs when the tender and jet skis have been launched. In this area, one will find a stairway to the aft deck.

From the aft deck, one can go down 2 sets of stairs to the large swim platform, perfect for all water activities and to board and disembark from the tender. In the swim platform there is a 100-gallon gas tank perfect for keeping the tender and jet skis topped off. From the swim platform, one will find a door in the transom that leads to the crew quarter cabins, berth, and lounge. There is a separate crew entry from the aft deck as well. SPIRIT's crew accommodations is unique as it has 3 cabins, all ensuite sleeping 6

10 of the biggest yachts at this year's Palm Beach International Boat Show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show returns to West Palm Beach's waterfront from March 21-24 — bringing with it some of the largest, most luxurious yachts in the world.

The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach features a range of boats that are longer than 100 feet, including 18 that are longer than 151 feet.

Here's a look at 10 of the biggest boats that visitors to the show can experience up close.

Come Together

This 197-foot behemoth with a price tag that starts at $59.95 million makes it the most expensive boat for sale at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Come Together provides plenty of space and amenities to do as its name suggests and bring more than a dozen people together for an adventure at sea, according to its listing on the show's website.

It was built in 2022 by Amels and features a hybrid propulsion system. The interiors were done by Winch Design of London, with materials including Jerusalem limestone, light matte oak and walnut, and bronze. The ship's six cabins can house up to 14 guests, the listing said.

A 27-meter sun deck features a Jacuzzi with a sunbathing area, gym equipment, sheltered bar and wind-protected dining table.

Want to buy the 164-foot Hospitality? The price starts at $29.75 million, according to the yacht's listing on the boat show's website.

The Westport-built vessel was first constructed in 2011 and refit in 2021. It has seven cabins that can accommodate 16 guests. That includes a primary suite and a VIP suite. It also features a sun deck with a hot tub and sunbathing area.

The ship has traveled "to some of the world's most remote places with an impressive 4,000+ nautical mile range," its listing said.

You can find Hospitality in the water at Ramp E at the show.

The 155-foot Ancora was just completed in August by manufacturer Mengi Yay, its listing said. It is being presented by Fraser Yachts.

Ancora was built for charter use and has a master suite with a private balcony, plus four staterooms including two doubles and two convertibles, allowing for up to 10 guests, the listing said.

Summer charter rates with Fraser run from about $282,000 per week in the western Mediterranean Sea to about $260,000 per week in the winter in the Caribbean, according to Fraser's website .

You can find Ancora in the water at Ramp 2.

Next Chapter

This Benetti-built vessel is 180 feet and 6 inches and was built in 2003 with a refit in 2022, the listing said.

Next Chapter's six cabins — including a split-level master suite with an observation lounge and private study — can accommodate up to 13 people. It features a Jacuzzi, gym and beach club, and is built for charter use, the listing said.

The price starts at $19.9 million, and the ship is being presented at the show by The International Yacht Co.

Next Chapter will be in the water at Ramp E.

For $21 million, you can be the new owner of the Feadship-built Berilda, a 155-foot yacht built in 2001 and refit in 2020-21, according to its listing.

The yacht has "the highest pedigree with a documented history of excellent owners and meticulous care," the listing said. That ownership includes Royal Swedish Yacht Club member Sten Tegner, and Richard and Leslie Fairbanks.

The current owner bought Berilda in 2021 and has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice and through Europe, New England, the Bahamas and the Caribbean, the listing said. The yacht features six cabins for up to 14 people and quarters for a crew of up to 10.

Berilda will be in water at Ramp C.

Liberty, built by Trinity, is 187 feet and 2 inches, according to its listing. The yacht is designed for entertaining, the listing said, with social spaces including a dance floor.

Liberty was built in 2012, with work including a paint job, main engine rebuild, new generators and 10-year survey completed since 2018. The price starts at $24.75 million and the ship is being shown by The International Yacht Co.

The yacht has six cabins for 12 guests, with additional capacity for 13 crew, the listing said.

Named simply W, this 188-foot Feadship yacht is being shown by its manufacturer, according to its listing.

The vessel, originally launched as Larisa in 2013, had a major refit in 2020 and was renamed at that time, the listing said. W's owner changed the livery and antifouling, among other alterations, over the past 10 months, the listing said.

W will be in the water at Ramp C.

Priced at $20.9 million and being shown by exhibitor FGI Yacht Group, the 164-foot Tsumat was built by Trinity in 2012 and refit last year, according to its listing.

The exterior was designed by Geoff Van Aller. The interior by Ramón Alonso features leather, suede, marble and walnut, with onyx floors.

There are six staterooms for up to 12 guests and housing for a 10-person crew, the listing said.

Tsumat will be in the water at Ramps 2 and D.

The Nita K II is about 171 feet and was built by Amels in 2004, the listing said. It's priced starting at $23.9 million and presented by Merle Wood & Associates.

A refit in 2021-22 included an overhaul of the main engines and generators, and a 20-year Lloyd's class special survey was completed earlier this year, the listing said.

The interior was designed by Alberto Pinto and Laura Sessa, and the yacht can accommodate up to 12 people in five staterooms, plus room for 14 crew members in seven cabins, the listing said.

Nita K II will be in the water at Ramp D.

If it tells you anything about the level of luxury aboard the BG Charade, this 157-foot yacht was built by Feadship in 1990 for the late Paul Allen of Microsoft, the listing said. Under Allen, the BG Charade completed three circumnavigations and served as the honeymoon venue for Bill and Melinda Gates.

A technical and cosmetic refit was completed in 2016 and included new generators, rebuilt engines, new teak on the exterior and a complete electrical system update, the listing said.

BG Charade has six cabins for up to 12 guests, plus accommodations for up to 10 crew, the listing said.

The yacht will be in the water at Ramp 7.

Bonus: Talisman C

The epically long — 231.6 feet — and super-luxurious Talisman C, built by Turquoise in 2011, will be shown by Burgess Yachts in the water at Ramps D and E.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show Will have the Largest Selection of Superyachts Ever

From the $148-million Feadship Arrow , to a stylish, fish-fighting 37-foot center console from Turkey’s Vicem, the 2023 Palm Beach International Boat Show promises be a boat-lover’s nirvana. The focus this year will be on superyachts for sale, with more than 50 expected. We highlight five of the biggest and best as well as seven global and US premieres of smaller boats for the rest of us.

The action on the West Palm Beach waterfront kicks off Thursday, running through Sunday. Here are 12 newcomers you don’t want to miss.

Feadship ‘Arrow’

Rumor has it that mega-successful British hedge-fund manager Michael Platt is looking to trade-in his 245-foot Feadship Arrow . The founder of BlueCrest Capital, Europe’s third-biggest fund, took delivery of the yacht in 2020 and now it will make its show debut at PBIBS in search of a buyer. It comes with a jaw-dropping $148 million asking price. Designed by London-based H2 Yacht Design, the Feadship has cabins for 12 guests and a main-deck owner’s suite to die for. Other standout features include a state-of-the-art gym, massive beach club with drop-down side terraces, a stunning top-deck bar and lounge area, massage room, and enough water toys to equip a cruise ship. She’s fast, with twin MTUs delivering a 17.5-knot top speed.

Benetti ‘Alfa’

With its plumb bow and curving superstructure, the 229-foot Benetti Alfa looks like many contemporary designs these days. But the brokerage yacht’s real innovation lies at the stern, with a split-level beach club that includes an infinity pool (that transforms to a dance floor with a cover) on the deck above, and a full-beam lounge under the pool, with drop-down balconies on each side to increase openness and width. The owner also specified his own deck, with a bedroom, office, gym, massage room, television room, bar and breakfast area—not to mention an 860-sq.-foot sunken forward sundeck.

Benetti ‘Calex’

Delivered just a year ago to its California owner, the stunning 219-foot Benetti superyacht Calex is making a surprise appearance at the Palm Beach show—to showcase the boatbuilding skills of the Italian shipyard. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Calex ‘s sleek, low-slung lines are from the drawing board of designer Giorgio Cassetta. Belowdecks is a seven-cabin layout that can accommodate 14 guests, with the highlight being the massive 1,770-sq-ft owner’s deck. Here, in addition to the master suite, is the owner’s lounge, bar and office, plus a private sundeck with gym, spa and gas fireplace. Word has it that Calex ‘s owner is billionaire Southern California auto dealer David Wilson, whose Wilson Automotive Group boasts 17 dealerships and annual sales of around $2 billion.

Palmer Johnson ‘DB9’

Named after the classic V12 Aston Martin model, the 9,200-hp, 171-foot DB9 is a speed demon that can blast across the water at 37 mph—or about three times the speed of most yachts its size. The iconic Palmer Johnson, the only one built in England, was first launched back 2010. Its lines from Venice design firm Nuvolari/Lenard make it look fast, even at the dock. In 2019, the new owner upgraded its systems while having its exterior repainted in a metallic Champagne color, with the signature red boot stripe. The boat has three pools, including a 26-foot-long saltwater pool on the foredeck that doubles as the boat’s tender storage when it’s empty. DB9 promises to be one of Palm Beach’s brokerage stars.

Amels ‘Come Together’

Named after the Beatles song, Come Together is the first Amels Limited Edition 60 that was launched last year. It is distinguished by a geometrically shaped exterior with a metallic hull. The owner of the 197-footer used the yacht for exploring the world, but his plans changed and it’s now on the brokerage market. The yacht has a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck, a DJ booth, and a large beach club for water sports. On the sundeck is a teppanyaki grill, bar, hot tub and drop-down cinema screen. The interior by Winch Design has a beachy theme, with refined details like leather handrails, brass inlays and appliqué walls. The design firm focused on stones and wood to create beautiful but highly tactile finishes. A patterned, stylized stairwell is Come Together ’s centerpiece.

Princess S72

Fresh from its January debut at the Düsseldorf Boot indoor boat show, the super-stylish S72 from Britain’s Princess Yachts, is making its splashy, in-water debut and key North American premiere at Palm Beach. Designed by the Princess studio, with Pininfarina adding Italian flair, the S72 joins the Princess S Class line-up of S62, S66 and S78 coupe-style fast cruisers. With twin MAN V12 diesels—choose between 1,650-hp or 1,800-hp—this big-windowed cruiser has a top speed of up to 36 knots. Unusual design features include a huge tender garage, expansive power sunroof above the helm, and a spacious flybridge. Princess is also showing the all-new F65, while giving the X80 its first US airing.

Intrepid 51 Panacea

Florida-based Intrepid Powerboats is unwrapping its biggest, and fastest, center console to date, the new flagship 51 Panacea. Priced at around $2 million, it’s also the most-expensive Intrepid yet. Big brother to the builder’s more cruising-focused 475 Panacea , the new 51-footer is fresh from the keel up, with an all-new, smooth-riding stepped hull, broader beam, and greater deck space. The extra length has also been used to incorporate a second row of four-across seating behind the helm, a big hardtop with wraparound windshield, and an outdoor galley in the cockpit. To escape the sun, there’s also a roomy cabin with side access, a forward V-berth and head with shower. While the base engine package is a quintet of Mercury 450 Racing outboards, the 51 Panacea is also being offered with four Verado 600 V12s.

Horizon PC68

Power cat specialist Horizon definitely has the power part covered with its brand-new PC68, making its global debut in Palm Beach. With a pair of 850-hp MAN turbo-diesels, Horizon talks about a “cruising” speed, rather than top speed, of 20 knots for the 68 footer. Its fuel capacity of 1,500 gallons, the PC68’s range should be extensive—though Horizon has yet to release that data. Equally impressive is the amount of deck and interior space provided by the 24-foot beam. In each of the hulls is an equal-sized master suite with king-sized bed, along with separate VIP guest cabins with twin beds that slide together to form a king. The upper flybridge deck is also generous with its space, featuring a walkthrough windshield to a Portuguese bridge and open deck area with exceptional views.

Zeelander 5

After a year-long tease, Dutch builder Zeelander’s Z5 is making global debut at Palm Beach. The still-unapologetically-retro 50-footer carries on where the Z44 left off. Besides an extra four feet of hull, the all-new Z5 features bigger windows in the wheelhouse with new, pencil-thin windshield frames, and an even more voluptuous rear end with a swim platform almost twice the size of the Z44’s. Powered by three Volvo IPS-650s, this new Z5 can hit a top speed of over 40 knots, yet the builder’s focus on noise reduction makes this Zeelander’s quietest boat yet. The longer hull has helped increase the size of the amidships owner’s cabin which now benefits from bigger hull windows.

Vicem 37 CC

Turkish wooden boat master Vicem is dipping a toe into the fiberglass center-console market with the Vicem 37 CC, making its world debut at the Palm Beach show. So new is the first hull that it won’t actually arrive at the show until the second day, and with no time to officially photograph the finished boat, there are only renderings available. Vicem teamed-up with Turkish designer and passionate angler Murat Iyriboz and Virginia-based DLBA Naval Architects to shape the new 37 CC. In addition to a center console, the 37 will also be offered as an express cruiser. In true Vicem style, the boat will combine elements that are modern and traditional—like teak coaming around the bow and quilted, hand-stitched upholstery. Buyers can choose from dual or triple outboards, with total possible horsepower of 1,000 hp, with the largest motors projected to give a 45-knot top speed.

Numarine 26XP Fast

Seems American boat owners love to go fast. Which is why Turkish builder Numarine is debuting a U.S.-focused version of its beefy 26XP explorer-style 85-footer at the Palm Beach show, appropriately titled the 26XP Fast. And fast it is, courtesy of a pair of honking 1,800-hp MAN diesels powering the planing hull version of the 26XP. Flat out, the 85-footer does an impressive 31 knots. According to Numarine, the boat is the fastest in its class. That’s a big step up from the standard, full-displacement-hulled 26XP with twin 435-horse MANs. It has a leisurely 13.5-knot top speed but will be drinking a lot less fuel. What hasn’t changed is the 26XP’s headturning Can Yalman exterior design, with that high, vertical bow, quirky-shaped bulwarks, reverse-angle pilothouse windows and stubby foredeck. Plus, its massive 700-square-foot flybridge.

Arksen Adventure 30

Dubbed the Land Rover of the seas, this new, tough-as-nails Adventure 30 from Britain’s explorer-yacht builder Arksen , is making its U.S. debut. Best known for its world-girding 65- to 85-foot Explorer series, Arksen partnered with Finland’s XO Boats to build this new 30 and its smaller Adventure 28 sibling. While not exactly a Palm Beach-style cruiser, with its exposed, military-grade aluminum hull, enclosed pilothouse, and distinct lack of sun loungers, the boat is a natural for the rugged Pacific Northwest. But it’s not all basics. Teak covers the decks. There is leather on the steering wheel and a comfortable V-berth in the cabin. Offered with either a single 350-hp outboard, or twin 250s, top speed is more than 45 knots, and with fuel in the tanks the range is 230 miles at 25 knots.

Spectacular multi-million dollar yachts — check! Balmy, waterfront location — check! Family-friendly exhibitions and fun — check!

Then it must be the 42nd annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, which cruised into West Palm Beach this week. The city’s waterfront Downtown was transformed into a yachters’ haven, filled with ultra-luxurious yachts and cruisers and a seemingly endless range of yachting-inspired activities.

This year some 800 boats and yachts participated in the show, which is expected to lure over 55,000 total visitors along with 600 brands. In total, the four-day show is anticipated to pump over $1 billion into the economy of the Palm Beach area, which has seen both its population and popularity surge since the pandemic.

“Beyond its economic significance and standing in the industry, the Palm Beach International Boat Show holds a special place in the hearts of local residents, revered as one of the region’s must-attend events,” said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC).

The show supports a series of satellite events such as the Winward VIP Club, with an open bar, gourmet dining and special pop-up activations. The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach at Palm Harbor was where the show’s most glamorous — and truly gargantuan — superyachts are on display. At the AquaZone, which is presented by Nautical Ventures, guests can enjoy a “show within a show” via an interactive experience featuring a wide range of water sports and cutting-edge, marine-related products.

As always, the Show delivers an exceptional array of culinary experiences, including world-class cocktails provided by sponsors such as Goslings Rum. The Show also includes a series of education seminars that appeal to visitors of all ages, including the Hook the Future’s Kids Fishing Clinics with Captain Don Dingman, who demonstrates various fishing techniques while showcasing a wide variety of fish species. Participants get a free Hook the Future x Carolina Skiff rod and reel combo.

But it’s really all about the boats. Here are five of the most unique, intriguing and eye-popping vessels on display.

The lucky charm

Few yachts at this year’s show are as jaw-dropping as Talisman C. Designed by London-based interiors aces H2 and manufactured by Turkish master yacht-builders Proteksan Turquoise, it’s currently listed for sale by British yachting firm Burgess for a cool $59.7 55 million. Spanning just over 231 feet long, it features six full-sized cabins that can sleep up to 14 guests, including a sprawling owner’s suite with its king-size bed and crystal chandelier, massive walk-in closet and grand library (which can easily be converted into an additional cabin).

Upstairs, the yacht’s sundeck features a large glass-encased Jacuzzi, sun beds and dining area under the sun or stars. A chic swim platform allows for easy access to the azure seas while the nearby aft deck area includes a fully equipped bar with club seating as well as a full-size dining area capped by a glass-threaded chandelier.

The vessel is powered by a pair of 2,447hp Caterpillar diesel engines, which provide a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles.

The emperor

Reaching just under 300 feet in length, the Nero is, without doubt, one of the most eye-catching vessels at the entire Palm Beach show. Although completely contemporarily designed and manufactured, the Nero embodies the look and aesthetic of classic boats from yachting’s golden age during the 1930s. Fully overhauled in 2021, the Nero — which is currently on the market for just under $500,000 per week via Burgess — was designed in the spirit of Corsair, a yacht launched in the 1930s that belonged to legendary Wall Street financier J.P. Morgan.

Inside, it could not be more luxurious. On the top deck is a world-class gym fitted out with equipment by Technogym, while a few steps beyond is a beauty salon, which comes with an in-house beautician and masseuse.

There are six cabins with room for 12 guests — along with an on-board Jacuzzi, pool and waterslide. Throughout, veteran yacht designer Laura Pomponi has updated and upgraded the Nero’s look, introducing a range of new handmade carpets, along with hardwood floors, new sofas and elegant art-works. Pomponi has also lent her hand to Nero’s distinctive 30-foot Corsair custom-built tender that has been refitted so guests can arrive in impeccable style.

The secret agent

As its name suggests, the 236-foot Casino Royale brings a large dose of Bond-like elegance and intrigue to West Palm Beach. Constructed by Italian master shipbuilder Tankoa in 2018 and given a top-to-bottom retrofit in 2022, Casino Royale includes six cabins for 12 passengers and has been awarded a slew of industry accolades for its innovative and forward-thinking technology and aesthetic. Nearly two dozen crewmembers tend to those lucky voyagers, which luxuriate in an on-board circular swimming pool and access the ship via a helicopter port.

The yacht’s primary suite is nothing if not grand, featuring 180-degree views from its king-size bed along with its own study and al fresco terrace with private sunbed and Jacuzzi. There are five additional guest suites — all with their own private baths. Just beyond is an open-air living layout complete with a range of bespoke contemporary furnishings across the boat’s nearly half-dozen passenger decks.

Outside the amenities are just as abundant and include an onboard beach club with a lounge, bar, sauna, terrace and hammam/shower. All are ideal locations to rest and recharge after a workout in the yacht’s wellness center. The aptly named Hospitality ticks off the right boxes when it comes to superyacht bells and whistles. This twin-engine beauty can house up to 16 passengers along with 11 crew at a maximum cruising speed of 24 knots. Built back in 2011 by Westport Yachts here in the US, Hospitality — which is currently on the market for just under $30 million — underwent a comprehensive retrofit in 2021.

Along with all of the requisite yachting toys — Jet Skis, Seabobs and paddleboards — Hospitality includes a grand private owner’s suite with its own private relaxation balcony, seven cabins along with a relaxation room that can be used as a gym or spa and meticulously designed public spaces across is handful of decks. There’s also a handy tender for quick — or, not so quick — jaunts to the shore for dining and shopping.

Hospitality mostly cruises the Caribbean to New England, making the most of Northern Hemisphere winters.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocketed potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to charter in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

Palm Beach International Boat Show returns to West Palm Beach waterfront

The Palm Beach International Boat Show returns this week with more nearly 1,000 vessels on display, including super yachts from around the world.

Tickets are on sale now for the show that runs March 21-24 along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

The show, which started in 1982, has grown to a major economic engine for the community, with last year's impact estimated at $1.05 billion statewide — nearly as much as the $1.3 billion Miami International Boat Show, said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, which owns the boat show.

"Palm Beach is really not that far behind Miami, and Miami is the biggest in the world," Freeman said. "That was really exciting."

This year's boat show features an expanded Super Yacht Show at Palm Harbor Marina, showcasing yachts that typically stretch longer than 80 feet and have a variety of luxurious amenities that include hot tubs, crew quarters, dance floors and sun decks.

"We have more super yachts there than we ever have before, and they're even bigger," Freeman said, noting that at 236 feet, the vessel Casino Royale takes the title of largest yacht at this year's show. The title of "most expensive yacht" goes to Come Together, a 196-foot vessel priced at $59.95 million.

"Everybody, when they think about super yachts, they think about Monaco and Miami, but Palm Beach is a real player in these boat shows and the yachting world," Freeman said.

Exhibitors continue to be drawn to the Palm Beach International Boat Show by the opportunity for high sales year after year when compared with other South Florida boat shows, she said.

"I've heard from several of them, this is their favorite show to attend," Freeman said, "And that's why, because their sales are higher at Palm Beach."

The show continues to make headway in improving its sustainability efforts, she said. After reducing single-use plastics, a major change this year is the addition of water bottle refilling stations throughout the show, Freeman said.

"I think that's exciting because everybody's talking about sustainability and how we can be more sustainable," she said. "Every year, we take little steps to be more sustainable."

Freeman said she is excited for this year's AquaZone presented by Nautical Ventures. The attraction showcases some of the "yacht toys" that are new or popular on the market.

"It's so cool, because there are people actually in the water demoing yacht toys, and it's usually the latest and greatest," she said. "There's always something new every year that we've never seen before."

The Palm Beach International Boat Show also features a range of seminars, demonstrations and discussions throughout the weekend, including mental health in yachting, tips to boat to the Bahamas, safe boating to protect sea turtles and how to address active threats and piracy.

Freeman, who has children, said she loves the Kids Fishing Clinics scheduled for noon and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with captain Don Dingman.

"Captain Don has been doing this for years, and he does a fantastic job," Freeman said. "The kids actually get to go home with a free rod and reel once the clinic is over."

The association produces the Palm Beach International Boat Show with Informa Markets' U.S. Boat Shows division.

"As we gear up for the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, we are excited for our return to Downtown West Palm Beach to celebrate the rich history of this esteemed event," Andrew Doole, president of U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets, said in a news release. "Each year, we’re grateful for the warm welcome and support from the community, which truly makes this event a highlight on the calendar for both residents and visitors alike."

Informa also produces the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art show happening March 21-24, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. A Windward VIP ticket to the boat show includes admission to the art show as well.

In addition to serving as a cornerstone festival of spring in West Palm Beach, the boat show launched the Palm Beach International Boat Show Gives Back program to provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions to local nonprofits, Freeman said.

The grant program had a soft launch last year and formalized the boat show's four-decade practice of giving back to the community, Freeman said.

"We're really excited about it," said Freeman, who added that the boat show team is working with the Community Foundation to manage the grant program, which they hope to grow. "That's something that's a super high priority for us."

Money raised through a portion of the boat show's ticket sales, optional add-ons and some related activities goes toward the fund.

The boat show in February announced that the first round of grants totaling $500,000 would go to 25 nonprofits that have marine-related programs or projects, including Florida Fishing Academy, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Florida Atlantic University, Inlet Grove High School, Palm Beach State College, Sea Turtle Adventures and Friends of Manatee Lagoon.

"We're hoping one day we'll be able to say that it's a million dollars," she said. "So fingers crossed. It relies on the success of the boat show and the support of the community. With that, we will continue to grow."

Whether you're the son of a son of a sailor or even just love that song and want to know more, the granddaddy of all boating events is happening this weekend along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

That's right, the Palm Beach International Boat Show is back for four glorious days along Flagler Drive.

This will be the 42nd annual event, and organizers promise it will be bigger and better than ever.

There will be $1.2 billion worth of Bond-worthy super yachts, cruisers, sportfishing boats, center consoles and even inflatables to see and tour, along with attractions and activities highlighting the latest in boat engines, motors and accessories. There will also be the latest fishing gear and even fishing seminars.

Yes, it's a big event, but don't be intimidated. In fact, here are seven fun facts about the show:

How many boats can the Palm Beach boat show boast?

There will be more than 800 boats on display along the floating docks in the Intracoastal Waterway.

What is the biggest boat at the Palm Beach International Boat Show?

With a length of 236 feet (and 38 feet wide), Casino Royale takes the title for largest boat this year. This gorgeous yacht, designed for her exterior lines by Francesco Paszkowski with interior by Paszkowski’s interior lead designer Margherita Casprini, is also one of the most technically advanced yachts in her category. Casino Royale is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B main engines and has an impressive top speed of 17.5 knots. You can put your checkbooks away for this one, however, as she is only on display and not for sale.

This boat is the boat show's most epensive

Built in 2022 and 196-feet long, Come Together is listed for $59,950,000. This expedition yacht was delivered by the Dutch shipyard Amels and features interior styling by British designer Winch Design. It can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins along with 14 crew members.

Are spectators allowed to go on the boats?

To go onboard the yachts and superyachts, visitors must make an appointment with the brokers. For the smaller boats, however, spectators can come onboard if they are interested in buying.

What is the smallest boat?

The smallest boat being displayed on the water is a runabout boat that is 22-feet-6-inches long, and 5-feet-11 wide. It is manufactured by Hermes.

Eating inside the boat show

The show will have dozens of food concessions featuring almost anything you could be craving, from Greek gyros to woodfired picanha, authentic street tacos and hand-crafted burgers. On a seafood diet? Enjoy fresh stone crab claws, calamari, oysters, and much more! Vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten-free? No problem; they have options for you as well.

And libations at the boat show?

Of course there will be drinks. To be precise, there will be four bars for general admission guests, including two floating cocktail barges: the Goslings Island Bar and the Anheuser-Busch Barge. In addition there will be multiple bars in the Windward VIP Club.
