Best Disney hotel on property

We love the Yacht Club. The northeastern, nautical theme is a welcome respite from the buzz that is the rest of Walt Disney World. The staff are pleasant and helpful, especially the concierge staff. One caveat: some rooms are VERY far from the elevator, and after a long day at the parks, that can be a little disappointing.

My family of four ( 2 young children) stayed here in August 2010, we were originally suppose to stay at the Dolphin Resort for a conference, but upon arrival we weren't fond of the room so we switched over to the Disney Yacht Club. Room was nice, the best part was the location. A short boat ride to Hollywood Studios and a 5-10 minute walk to Epcot. The kids pool area was nice, they had smores in the evening on the beach which we went to 1 night, the kids enjoyed. A short walk over to the Boardwalk in the evening provided some entertainment. For close by dining we ate at the pool counter service, Captains Grille, Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, all were good. We also ate at the Boardwalk's Big River Grille, which I wouldn't recommend. We've also stayed at the Polynesian, and Contemporary hotels. Our favorites were the Yacht Club and Contemporary (close to Magic Kingdom). They are both great locations, we did like the room at the Contemporary a little more. The housekeeping didn't do very much at all with the xtra disney touches at the Yacht Club, whereas at the Contemporary we were surprised every day with all the towel designs.

We loved the Yacht Club. Only stayed 3 days, but would have loved to stay longer. Clean and well maintained grounds. Would definitely return.

Five reasons to stay here : 1 ) best location Epcot on foot only 10 min Holl.Studio 20 min by boat other parks 20- 25 min by bus -reserved and free bus 2 ) elegant resort 3 ) excellent sleep quality if you are tired after visit parks - quite and silence room 4 ) excellent Restaurants - try the steakhouse ! 5 ) white sand on the beach if you like to stop your ride in the parks . There are no others resorts with these 5 points .

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect location and beautiful view of the bay. The pool is outstanding. Lovely architecture. Our room faced the water and I could see where staying in a room facing the parking lot would not be as nice an experience. I could have stayed on the balcony looking at the water all day!

I stayed at one of 4 hotels offered onside Disney at Orlando. It's a great place to be with family particularly in month of Feb and March because of good climate - around 18 deg c in day time and night goes to 8 to 9 deg c. The hotel is big and clean with plush carpets. rooms are big with wide beds. Good jogging track around the lake makes a perfect start to your morning. The hotel caters shuttles at regular hours to all 4 theme parks of famous disney. In all , though abit expensive - a great stay, family will love it.
