The GALAXY OF HAPPINESS yacht is a futuristic trimaran yacht built by Latitude Yachts , a Latvia-based builder that prides itself on cutting-edge technologies and the highest quality industry standards.

Specifically designed for stability in rough seas, she takes yachting to another level. She was tested for a sea trial in stormy weather that could strand most of her contemporaries in port. She is one of two Galaxy models that have been revealed so far.

Globally, GALAXY OF HAPPINESS ranks in the top ten percent by LOA and the top thirty percent when it comes to speed.

Compared to other motorboats of the same size, she has a cruising speed of 9.87 knots above the average and a peak speed of 13.14 knots above the average. 

She was recently spotted cruising near Tunisia and under the Cayman Islands flag, the 2nd most popular flagship for superyachts with 1251 yachts registered.

The GALAXY OF HAPPINESS yacht’s interior was penned by Latitude Yachts and boasts exquisite interior quality in red-tinted mahogany floors and cherry joinery that is also stained in a red varnish.

She has beautifully curved glass doors that go into the main indoor living area. She has crisp white furniture, wooden accents, and magnificent high-gloss hardwood floors that exude elegance and sophistication.

In addition to a huge built-in TV and sound system for watching movies and listening to music, guests can also choose to enjoy the sights through the surrounding LCD windows that provide 360° views. 

Specifications

The GALAXY OF HAPPINESS yacht is built with GRP hull and superstructure and teak decks. 

Her twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M94) 16-cylinder 2,600hp engines running at 2450rpm provide her with a comfortable cruise speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. 

She can reach a range of up to 2,300 nautical miles from her 18,000-liter fuel tanks, and her low draft of 1.46 meters makes her ideal for navigating shallow water and traveling near coastlines and islands. 

She was constructed in accordance with the criteria of the BV (Bureau Veritas) Yacht – Motor – C classification society rules.

The GALAXY OF HAPPINESS yacht exterior was penned by Coste Design , a leader in luxury multi-hull design with unique and innovative flair.

She features a sleek and clean exterior with an expansive main deck. The area is furnished with a built-in curved sofa and a huge dining table in the center that can accommodate up to 12 passengers. 

There are also two stairwells on either side of the trimaran which lead down to the outer hulls of the boat.

Two big built-in sunbeds are located behind the main outdoor living space, where guests may dry off after swimming in the pool.

The ocean is easily accessible by a large, central stairway that leads down to the swimming platform. 

Dubbed one of the most iconic motorboats in the world, she uses up to 40% less energy to reach the same speed as a classic yacht.

She is also one of the best performing “sea efficient” yachts on the market, with her trimaran design making her more stable and comfortable. 

Accommodation

The GALAXY OF HAPPINESS yacht can comfortably accommodate up to six guests in three suites and can carry up to six crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

She consists of one master cabin and two guest cabins with the same high-quality wooden furnishings and gloss floors.

The asking price for the Galaxy of Happiness yacht is €29,800,000.

GALAXY OF HAPPINESS is a 53m trimaran yacht, designed by Jean-Jacques Coste of Coste Design & Partners, and delivered in 2016 by Latitude Yachts. This unique vessel is all about stability, speed and efficiency. Her trimaran build allows for 40% less energy use than a conventional mono yacht, and she is equipped for zero emission cruising. Her 2 x MTU (2,600HP) engines allow for a thrilling top speed of 30 knots, and a cruising speed of of 24 knots. She can sleep up to 6 guests across 3 ensuite cabins, with a crew of 3 ensuring guests have an incredible time on board.

The spacious main deck is the ultimate entertaining area. This space features built-in curved sofa couches on both port and starboard sides, and a large dining table in the centre that can seat 12 guests. This extra-large area would make a perfect spot for some morning yoga or other outdoor activities. There are also two stairwells on each side leading down to the trimarans outer hulls.

Aft of the main outdoors living area are two large built in sunbeds where guests can dry off after a dip in the water. The ocean is easily accessible via a wide centred staircase leading down to the swimming platform.

From the main deck, both port and starboard staircases lead up to the flybridge, which holds the large circular hot tub. With accompanying bar seating around one side, this is a great spot for soaking in the tub and enjoying a drink.

From the main deck, come through the beautiful curved glass doors into the main indoor living area. The décor of this space is exquisite, with crisp white furniture and wooden accents, plus beautiful high-gloss wooden flooring. To the starboard side is a large couch area with coffee tables, and opposite to port is the formal dining table, seating 12 guests with ease. The area is completed with a large built in TV and sound system to enjoy movies and entertainment, or why not simply soak up the sights through the surrounding windows, providing 360° views. The windows and skylight are made of LCD glass, which is dimmable.

From the main deck, two stairwells lead to the accommodation, which consists of 1 Master cabin and 2 Guest cabins. These cabins accommodate 6 guests, although with some refiguring they can accommodate more. The cabins feature the same high-quality wooden furnishings and gloss floor, and the portholes in the cabins all open, so a fresh breeze can flow through the interior. The expert crew of 3 will ensure that guests have five star service throughout their time on board.

Trimaran superyachts Galaxy and Galaxy of Happiness delivered

The 53 metre trimaran superyachts Galaxy and Galaxy of Happiness have been delivered to their new owners in the UAE, Latvian yard Latitude Yachts has announced.

The superyacht pair were launched in Riga on May 10 and both went on to reach their designed top speed of 30 knots on their sea trials.

Their futuristic design and sleek silver exteriors by Jean-Jacques Coste , which Latitude Yachts described as “resembling a spacecraft from Hollywood blockbusters”, call to mind other notable multihull superyachts , such as  Adastra  — the futuristic trimaran from McConaghy Boats  — and current round-the-world record holder Ady Gil .

The interiors were designed by Latitude Yachts and Jean-Jacques Coste and feature an owner’s cabin and two guest cabins.

Speaking in May, Valdis Irbe, co-owner of Latitude Yachts, said: “This was a great challenge for me and I was brave enough to agree to bring this project to life.

“I would like to thank the customer for giving his credence and opportunity to carry out this project of immense complexity. They have no analogues in size – they are the biggest trimarans in the world.”

This claim is somewhat debatable, however, as Australian yard North West Bay Ships launched a 61.4m trimaran White Rabbit Echo in 2005.

Latitude Yachts' 53m trimaran project has been under development for nearly 30 months and the dual launch propels the Latvian yard into the superyacht spotlight, although they do not currently plan to display the trimarans at any upcoming boat shows.

Founded in 2006, the yard was previously best known for building five 60 metre restaurant boats that are based in Moscow.

Built from a GRP and carbonfibre composite, the new Latitude trimarans are propelled by twin 2,600hp engines. Latitude Yachts adds that they are expecting an imminent order for a further two 53m trimarans that will also be used in the UAE.
