Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 Episode 4 Review: 'Oopsie Daisie'

The charter guests bring drama for the crew on the latest episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

On the fourth episode of the third season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , charter guest Erica Rose is back with her mother Cindi, and her new husband, Chuck. "He's the first person I've met who's worse than I am," charter guest, Rhett, remarks, as Chuck continues to throw a fit about Marcos' food and the conditions on the pristine yacht. Marcos' crew mates calm his frustrations with Captain Glenn suggesting they humor the guests and adhere to their exact wants and specifications. Spoiler Alert: The rest of this article contains spoilers from Episode 4: 'Oopsie Daisy'

The Charter Guests Bring The Drama To The Beach Picnic

As Chuck continues his unfounded tirades, the crew mates prepare a beach party for the charter guests. After Cindi recruits someone to take her picture for Instagram, guests bring to the crew's attention a smattering of self tanner that Cindi's left on the white couch in the common area. However, while it's noted that the blemish is Cindi's, neither crew nor guest will admit it.

At the beach, Chuck seems to have a momentary attitude change, telling Daisy the food is great and defending his attitude saying, "I think I'm just a grouch in the morning." As the table discusses how Chuck's attitude would fare elsewhere, Erica's hairdresser, Janelle, and her husband, Rhett, agree that Chuck is unbearable. Overhearing their snarky comments, Chuck takes a not-so-private pass at Janelle, prompting Rhett to warn chuck, "I will f*ck your world up."

Marcos Injures Himself Preparing For The Decades Dinner

Back on the ship, Marcos convenes with Cindi and Erica to plan the night's dinner menu. Deciding on a buffet of spicy tuna crispy rice, spaghetti marinara, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach, Marcos comments that the night's dinner is "a nasty menu combination." Then, it's sails up for the ship, an experience which Chuck notes as "overrated."

Down in the refrigerator looking for broccoli, Marcos hits his head as the boat heels, slicing off a piece of his scalp . Captain Glenn calls on a doctor who comes to take a look at Marcos' wound. Much to Captain Glenn's satisfaction, the doctor declares the gash superficial, and Marcos is free to continue preparing dinner.

While the guests, along with invited crew members Captain Glenn and Gary, ready themselves for dinner, charter guests Janelle and Rhett brace themselves for an evening of Chuck. While some guests and crew members dress for the decade, Cindi emerges from the cabin dressed as Marilyn Monroe. During a complaint-less dinner, she even serenades Captain Glenn with a Marilyn-inspired "Happy Birthday," song that leaves Gary in hysterical tears.

The Guests Shirk The Crew With Their Tip

It's finally the morning that the Cindi-Erica guests are leaving, and the crew could not be more relieved. Daisy and Janelle share their thoughts on the insufferable Chuck, parting ways amicably. Captain Glenn tells Cindi that the guests will have to pay for the bronzer stain on the couch, an act she committed but maintains her innocence for. As the guests stroll off into the sunset, the crew prepares to clean the ship and breathe a sigh of relief.

Captain Glenn convenes the crew for the tip meeting. He notes Daisy's performance during the charter, complimenting her leadership skills. However, Captain Glenn shares the news that, while the crew did a wonderful job during charter, the tip offered "doesn't reflect the quality of service." With that, he tells the crew they've received a lump sum tip of $6,500 . To put that into perspective, the average tip is upwards of $20,000. Dismayed let glad to be rid of their nightmarish guests, the crew members prepare for a night on the town.

The Crew Has A Wild Night Out

In conversation with Colin, Ashley admits that she has difficulty trusting women due to situations she's experienced in the past. Such instances have caused her to be standoffish in nature, and have only helped to heighten her sense of competitiveness that seems to get in the way of a healthy working relationship with Gabriela.

The crew tidies up, and, drink in hand, head for dinner at Bisou. Sitting next to one another, Gary and Ashley discuss next steps for their "relationship," with Ashley admitting to Gary that, if they get intimate, she wants to be his sole hookup. Gary finds himself conflicted, saying that while he does want to sleep with Ashley, he's fearful of the consequences. Gary and Daisy then go out for a smoke, and when posed with the question of who Gary will be laying with tonight, he jokingly says to Daisy, "you."

After dinner, just outside the yacht, Gary and Ashley steal a cheeky kiss. Up on the boat deck, the crew continues the party, throwing on their bathing suits and heading into the hot tub. Noticing his flirtatious ways toward Daisy, Ashley decides to throw up her arms and focus on a more reasonable conquest for the night. As Gary dishes to Colin and Marcos that he'll be taking Daisy to bed, Ashley eyes Tom, putting to rest her aversion to his age.

During a Gabriela-documented photo shoot of sorts, Ashley and Tom share a kiss, leading her to ask him to the guest cabins with her . While the rest of the crew packs it in for the night, Gary and Daisy remain in the hot tub, joking, laughing, and...oh, there it is - kissing.

Fans Side With The Crew

It's more than evident that fans side with the crew on the attitude of the charter's guests. Given it was their second time aboard the ship, fans go so far as to say they should be banned from returning to Captain Glenn's boat.

As for Ashley's sudden interest in Tom, some fans find themselves empathetic toward her ageist attitude.

Will Ashley's change of heart be permanent? Or will her sober jealousy flare up at the thought of Gary and Daisy in bed together? Find out next time, on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

‘Below Deck’ Charter Guests Break Silence On Low Tip Controversy

Below Deck Charter Guests Break Silence On Low Tip Controversy [Credit: YouTube]

The charter guests of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are speaking out about that low tip. In the Monday, March 14, episode, the notorious charter guests only tipped $6,500, which is the lowest in the show’s history. The charter guests are already making history for all the wrong reasons. Fans called them the worst charter guests in Below Deck history.

Erica Rose returned with her mom, Cindi Rae Rose, and her husband, Charles Sanders. Chief stew Daisy Kelliher was not excited about her returning, and the two have been in a war of words ever since. In fact, the charter guests haven’t stopped talking about their time on the yacht.

Erica Rose explains the reason for the low tip

Erica made an appearance on the Another Below Deck podcast . She explained that her fellow guests refused to contribute to their tip. The group knew they were responsible for the tip. While they were aware of the rules, they didn’t want to tip the hard-working crew members.

“The whole group is responsible for tipping. We had to pick up the slack for everyone else because no one else tipped.”

As Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans know, the crew busted their behinds to make the charter guests happy. In a previous episode, Erica’s husband Charles received backlash for calling the food “disgusting” and that he had better at a “ballpark.” He claims that producers told him to call out Chef Marco Spaziani’s food.

The couple said that all of the guests had to contribute to the tip. If that were the case, that would’ve brought the tip to $25,000. She claims they had a serious conversation about the tip before leaving the boat. Yet, her former friends have a different story as well as the proof.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 crew got the worst tip in history

Both Erica and Charles got called out for their lies. Per Monsters & Critics , fellow charter guests Rhett and Janelle Flatt said they have proof of a conversation she had with Erica. Janelle took to her Instagram account to share screenshots of their text message exchange. She claims that Erica lied about the tip.

In the text message exchange, Janelle asked Erica how much they should tip the crew. Erica responded, “Our price includes tip! We can bring cash and tip extra if we want. I over tipped last time. I think prices is ($) 5000/ per person including tip!! Not per couple. [SIC].”

Erica also seemingly wrote, “So it’s like ($) 3,000 per person, the $900 required tip and then ($)1,100 airfare is how it comes out to $5,000.”

Rhett became the hero of the show when he called out Charles for slamming the food. In another scene at their beach lunch, Charles called Janelle a “b***,” Rhett approached him and threatened to punch him out. Many Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans praised him for it. Janelle had more to say on Instagram and said they were never friends of Erica and Charles.

Janelle is a hairstylist and Erica was one of her clients. Erica invited her to the yacht trip, and of course, she wanted to go. But the moment they left the yacht, she fired Erica. The two are no longer speaking.

What are your thoughts on the tip? Do you agree that it’s the worst in the show’s history? Sound off below in the comment section. Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, on Bravo.

Haha, sure. You understand that no one believes your made up story.

Not just the worst guests, Charles, Erica, and Cindi are horrible humans. However, producers do pull people aside and give directions for story line. Charles may be telling the truth about that one thing, especially since he praised the dinner at first. Best dinner he ever had, apparently. I wish producers would stop. It doesn’t have to be drama all the time!!!

The most classless was LaQuisah from episode 13 season 10. She requested gold steak. She was a pain in the a– 7 a HUGE glutton. You can tell that she eats at Popeyes, and Red Lobster, and would take all the shrimp even if she didn’t eat it.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Recap: The Tortoise And The (Tarzan) Hair

By Glenn Rowley

This week, we were treated to an unexpectedly supersized episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . And true to form, it had a little bit of everything. Terrible guests getting even worse. A literal scalping. Blood in the galley. Crisscrossed boatmances. The start of the season’s much-hyped “love pentagon.” Not that this recapper is particularly looking forward to whatever mess that’s going to turn into. And a hookup no one, or maybe everyone, saw coming.

But before we can get to any of that, Captain Glenn Shephard needs to calm the primary’s husband down from having a tantrum over an omelette. Frankly, the term “hissy fit” is startlingly appropriate. Chuck stomps around the dining room calling Chef Marcos Spaziani ‘s food “putrid,” “disgusting” and “inedible.” Among a variety of other choice words that couldn’t be less true. In the words of Heather Dubrow , I am disgusted by this vile, vulgar display. I mean, we’re used to bad behavior from charter guests. It’s part of why we all watch this show right? But have you ever seen more wretchedly boorish behavior in all your life? Like Captain Glenn says, have some class.

For Chuck’s sake, he’s lucky none of this ridiculous ire is directed at Marcos himself. Because something tells me that would not end well for the spoiled, tasteless, tacky man Erica Rose chose to marry. Captain Glenn ‘s solution is to place the guests’ culinary fate in their own hands. By having them tell Chef Marcos exactly what they want for dinner. That way, they can’t possibly find a reason to complain about the food, right? Because unfortunately, they’ve still chartered Parsifal for another 24 hours.

below deck sailing yacht recap season 3 episode 4 cindi rose self tanner couch ruined

Despite Chuck’s breakfast tirade of terror, the day must go on. Because there’s a beach picnic to plan, set up, and successfully pull off without him having another meltdown. Tom Pearson and Gabriela Barragan are in charge of the setup. And the junior deckhand is determined to prove to Gary King that he’s capable of more than just vomiting all over Captain Glenn ‘s bathroom and dropping rope into the ocean. Meanwhile, back on the boat the guests go from bad to full-on destructive when Cindi Rose destroys a white couch with her self-tanner. It’s straight out of a nightmare about Adrienne Maloof at one of Kyle Richards ‘ famous White Parties. (I say that with much more love for the RHOBH OG than for these guests.)

Everyone’s on edge by the time the guests arrive on the beach. But shockingly, they’re actually almost happy with the food. In fact, Chuck comes about as close as he’s capable to apologizing for his outburst that morning, telling Daisy Kelliher he must’ve just woken up grouchy. Yeah, that must be it. Though in the next breath, he’s stirring up trouble with two of the other guests — Erica ‘s hairdresser Janelle and her husband Rhett. The name calling starts and threats are being flung across the beach. But at least the guests are too busy fighting to criticize anything the crew is doing…

below deck sailing yacht recap season 3 episode 4 chef marcos spaziani scalped blood injury bleeding

Back on the boat, the simmering hostility between Daisy ‘s stews intensifies when Ashely Marti chafes at Gabriela asking for help unpacking the bar. Yeah, these two are going to hate each other all season. And in an effort to placate the guests, Captain Glenn suggests going for a sail. It’s a lot of work for the deck crew, and all for Chuck to declare himself unimpressed by the magic of sailing. Somebody throw this guy overboard, won’t you? And Chuck’s attitude isn’t even the worst part of the sail. As Chef Marcos is prepping for dinner, he manages to hit his head in one of the cold storage holds. Hard . As in, the chef comes up to the galley with blood running down his face and a piece of his scalp in hand.

This is now an emergency medical situation. And one that, at first glance, looks like it could end Marcos ‘ season altogether. I mean, a piece of the poor guy’s scalp literally came off! But what does he do? Wraps a bandage around his entire head to keep pressure on the wound and continues cooking. Wow. By the time a doctor makes it out to Parsifal to examine his injury, Chef Marcos informs Captain Glenn that dinner will still be ready for the undeserving guests on time. And there’s good news! The head injury may look grisly, but the doctor says it’s merely superficial and Marcos will be just fine. Eventually.

below deck sailing yacht recap season 3 episode 4 captain glenn shephard cindi rose happy birthday marilyn monroe

For their final dinner, Erica and Cindi have cobbled together a “menu” — if you can even call it that — of dishes they (and Chuck) are sure to love. And they’ve even invited Captain Glenn and Gary to join them. Chef Marcos has prepared everything from tuna tartare and salmon sashimi to creamed spinach and spaghetti with marinara sauce. There’s also miso broccoli and huge ribeye steaks just to really round out the Roses’ concept. The theme for the evening is a night through the decades celebrating the last fifty years. Which seems to have just been an excuse for Cindi to dress up as a flight Frankenstein version of Marilyn Monroe. Completely with a breathy, off-key and utterly cringeworthy performance of “Happy Birthday Mr. President” to Glenn as a reluctant JFK. The poor captain’s probably scarred for life.

The next morning is blessedly departure day. Though it gets off on the wrong foot for more than one crew member. Gabriela ‘s left floundering over breakfast service because Ashley conveniently forgot to make fresh-squeezed orange juice during the night shift. And Marcos wakes up with his head pounding in pain, the shock of his self-scalping having finally worn off in the night. But thankfully the guests are fairly lazy and no one really gets up for breakfast. As they’re readying to leave, Captain Glenn has to awkwardly pull Cindi aside to assess the damage on the couch. She conveniently forgets she’s on a boat with cameras everywhere and denies even sitting on the now-ruined furniture. But either way, she’ll still have to pay for it. And with that, the Roses and their friends step off the boat. Hopefully to never return again.

below deck sailing yacht recap season 3 episode 4 daisy kelliher kelsie goglia cindi rose erica rose chuck tip

At the tip meeting, you can practically hear the entire crew breathe a massive sigh of relief. And Captain Glenn has nothing but good things to say about how they handled that nightmare of a charter. But it turns out the Roses still have one piece left in their master plan for revenge. They’ve left a tip of just $6,500. It’s such a disrespectfully paltry number that it’s practically like not leaving a tip at all. Talk about one giant middle finger to the crew who just bent over backwards night and day to cater to your every whim. It’s also unhinged behavior, given that last season, Erica and Cindi actually left a rather large tip of more than $18,000 for the crew’s troubles. In fact, I can’t go back and cross-reference, but it could be the lowest tip in all of  Below Deck history.

The crew is rightfully offended. But at this point there’s nothing left to do but go out to blow off some steam. So they head out to Menorca to get drunk while Captain Glenn tries to remove Cindi ‘s self-tanner stains from the couch. At a restaurant called Bisou, the crew mates toast to even surviving the charter, terrible tip be damned! And at the table, Daisy gives Gabriela a pep talk in an effort to unite her stews.

While over at the other end of the meal, Ashley ‘s much more interested in setting her sights on Gary . She even tells the first officer that if they’re going to hook up, she wants to be exclusive. But having learned his lesson (hopefully) from Season 2, Gary doesn’t know quite how to respond. Is it just me or does it feel more and more like Ashley came onto this show with an agenda to throw herself at Gary and cause problems in the interior?

below deck sailing yacht recap season 3 episode 4 ashley marti tom pearson make out hookup kiss

Eventually, everyone heads back to the boat for the night. Where things get more intoxicated…and more complicated. While Kelsie Goglia and Colin Macrae help Chef Marcos wrap his head in plastic wrap, Ashley turns her flirtations up a notch and once again gets Gary to kiss her. It could all be fun and games, but he’s still not sure what he wants to do. So for safety’s sake, he retreats to the hot tub where he and the third stew can’t be alone. However, Ashley sees this as some sort of sign of immediate rejection. And quickly moves on to Tom instead, despite having insisted over the last three episodes that she could never be interested in someone her age.

So next thing we know, Ashley and Tom are making out on deck. While Gabriela takes pictures and, for some reason, narrates the entire ordeal. The romantic threads are being pulled and switched so quickly that I’m having a hard time keeping up. What is happening right now? Is Ashley just being petty? Did she secretly like Tom this whole time? Either way, Tom quickly agrees when she suggests they take things down to the guest cabin.

But sorry, Ashley . Gary can’t be bothered, if that’s what you’re after. Because he’s too busy having fun in the hot tub with Daisy . We all knew it was coming from the supertease. But part of me still can’t believe my eyes when Gary and Daisy start drunkenly locking lips. The other part of me is dying to know what Colin must be thinking as he watches his two friends’ hot tub hook-up. That is, before he promptly starts running in the other direction. I don’t know. Maybe I’m crazy, but I just never, ever felt like there was any sort of sexual or romantic tension between the chief stew and the first officer. Yet here we are…

TELL US – ARE ERICA, CINDI AND CHUCK THE WORST BELOW DECK GUESTS OF ALL TIME? WHY DO YOU THINK THEY GAVE SUCH A DISRESPECTFULLY SMALL TIP? DID YOUR STOMACH TURN WHEN MARCOS SCALPED HIMSELF? IS ASHLEY USING TOM TO GET BACK AT GARY? WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF GARY AND DAISY’S HOT TUB HOOK-UP?

Screen Rant

Below deck sailing yacht: the worst charter guests so far.

Throughout the Below Deck Sailing Yacht series, there's undoubtedly been some terrible guests. Which group should be crowned the worst?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht  season 3 is currently airing, and so far, the season has some of the worst charter guests. The  Below Deck franchise is set on a luxury vessel with a crew who are expected to provide their guests with five-star service.  Naturally, there are some horrendous clients, with these guests being some the worst the franchise has ever seen.

Captain Glenn Shephard of BDSY has had to deal with his fair share of issues while leading the superyacht Parsifal III. The seasoned captain had to navigate annoying deckhands not handling their alcohol, dock accidents, and tedious guests who always seem to want a beach picnic. Glenn always does his best to make sure each charter season is as splendid as the last. With only two seasons and a third airing of the spin-off, the captain and his crew have been able to work through almost any issues and are looking forward to having another wonderful year full of large tips and hopefully no complaints. However, along the way, they met some of the worst guests.

The  Below Deck  franchise has captured the hearts of Bravo viewers thanks to its nautical adventures. With multiple spin-offs, the show has taken fans on a sea of adventures and enlightened them on how some charter guests actually act. Some charter guests have been absolutely lovely , while others are picky, demanding, and obscenely wealthy guests who feel they deserve anything and everything at the snap of a finger. It has become apparent to  Below Deck  fans that working on a luxury yacht is not always a dream job. These are some of  Below Deck' Sailing Yacht's  worst guests.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt-Barlow

Fans first met Barrie and Tony when they brought their family on a luxury holiday in Croatia, away from the cold weather in England. The couple made waves thanks to their LGBTQ+ history and petty drama. Viewers were quickly annoyed at Barrie's rude attitude and lack of manners. Barrie came off way worse than Tony, who genuinely seemed embarrassed by his former partner's actions. While he and his group were high maintenance, they were nothing compared to these next two charter groups.

McCordia Young

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 stew Gabriela  Barragan thought she would be fine on the night shift, but McCordia proved her wrong when he attempted to flirt with her. The Below Deck charter guest in question was on a trip with his friends, but on one night, had too much to drink and started asking Gabriela personal and inappropriate questions. He inquired about sexual preferences and how he found her attractive. Viewers were left shocked and uncomfortable by his advances.

Erica and Chuck Rose

While Erica was always legend on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , she and her mother had a lot drama around them this season. This time, Erica brought her husband, Chuck, onto the trip, and fans got more than they bargained for. On top of leaving an abysmal tip of only $6,500 , the couple was extremely rude to the staff, who tried to go above and beyond for their group. Not only was the tip the lowest in franchise history, but her husband, with his "amazing" pallet, had the audacity to say McDonald's was better than Chef Marcos Spaziani's food.

Viewers are over these particular guests but know that rude ones will always be mandatory. They add drama to the series that, for once, isn't between the crew. These horrible charter guests are what make  Below Deck Sailing Yacht such an entertaining series.

Why Below Deck's Familiar New Stew Is Already Starting Drama

Originally appeared on E! Online

A bombshell new yachtie is rocking the boat on Below Deck .

After Stew Cat Baugh left the St. David due to personal issues, the crew met her season 11 replacement: Stew Paris Field , who just so happened to be a familiar face to Chief Stew Fraser Olender .

"Oh my god, I can't believe it's you!" Fraser said of Paris' arrival on the April 8 episode before explaining in a confessional, "I know who Paris is. She is the ex of one of my very dear friends."

The Below Deck alum in question? Season nine Lead Deckhand Jake Foulger .

After the Perth native joined the group at dinner, many of the male crewmembers immediately took notice of Paris' good looks. And, yes, she plans to wave waves this season.

"I'm outgoing, funny and I love mayonnaise," Paris shared in a confessional. "I definitely say what's on my mind, I think because I don't have any serotonin or any happiness left so I just wanna stir the pot and regain some of that happiness back through people's suffering. That's not really true, I'm not evil. I promise."

The Most Dramatic Below Deck Firings Ever

Paris' arrival put Deckhand Sunny Marquis on the defensive as she worried the Stew's presence could threaten her boatmance with Lead Deckhand Ben Willoughby .

"I'm definitely a little bit jealous," Sunny noted in a confessional. "Now there's a drop-dead gorgeous blonde coming in, she's from Australia, they've got things in common together. I definitely feel a little worried about what Ben thinks of her."

The next day, Deckhand Dylan Pierre De Villiers attempted some not-so-smooth flirting with Paris during a beach day on the crew's day off.

"It's very funny that you're named Paris and you're from Australia," he told her. "You should have been called crocodile or crocs or something. You look like that girl that would wear Crocs though. Do you like Steve Irwin ?"

Paris responded to Dylan's advances with one word: cringe.

"Dylan's gorgeous, but f--k he's so awkward," she said in a confessional. "Personality wise? A three. If he was mute, I think he'd get a lot more action."

And when Ben joined the two and began touching Paris' arm, Sunny took note of the PDA.

"The guy I'm dating touching another woman makes me feel uncomfortable to be honest," she admitted. "Uncomfortable and angry. Mad disrespect."

Plus, in a preview for the April 15 episode, it seems Ben's flirting with Paris continues, leading to a confrontation between him and Sunny. As she told him in the sneak peek, "That's not cool, you just look like an a--hole. That is just not OK, Ben."

See the drama play out when Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to look back at some of the wildest charter guests to ever board the mega-yacht.

After ending another charter on a high note, the crew are raring to go for a night on the town. Ashley swears she’ll stay out of Gary’s and Scarlett’s boatmance while Scarlett continues to walk a fine line between balancing her feelings for Gary and keeping her interior team happy. As charter number eight approaches, Glenn informs the crew they will be stuck at anchor for the next several days due to bad weather, leaving the crew to feel the pressure to bring their A game. Marcos feels it the most as he’s tasked with a molecular gastronomy meal while just receiving bad news from home.
