Lürssen motor yacht Amadea now for sale with Imperial and Edmiston

The 106.1 metre Lürssen motor yacht Amadea has had a central agency change and is now jointly listed for sale by Imperial with Edmiston & Company .

Built in steel and aluminium by German yard Lürssen , Amadea was delivered in 2017. Espen Øino was responsible for her exterior design with interiors penned by Francois Zuretti .

Spread across six decks, Amadea can accommodate up to 16 guests in eight cabins. A central lobby features a four-person lift serving all guest areas and leading to the accommodation, comprised of a owner's suite, five doubles and two twins. The owner's stateroom sits on an owner's deck complete with 180 degree views, a private Jacuzzi on the foredeck and an atrium lounge with a piano, games table and fire pit. Also on this level, a bar, gym, private office and beauty room are at the disposal of the primary guest on board. There's additional accommodation for 36 crewmembers.

Then sun deck features a Jacuzzi and sunbathing area that can be transformed into a raised stage area for parties and entertaining, and also houses a winter garden with sea views and a table for up to 28 guests. Other star features include a 12 metre helipad on the bow, a lower deck spa with a Moroccan-inspired lounge, and a bridge deck saloon that converts into an al fresco cinema thanks to its floor-to-ceiling sliding screen.

Amadea 's main deck houses an extensive sunbathing area around a 10-metre infinity pool, a bar and lounge with L-shaped sofas, and a folding terrace.

Her toy box includes two 11 metre Windy tenders, a Pascoe Beach Lander, and a selection of Jet Skis, Seabobs, a Jetpack and a Flyboard.

Power comes from two MTU 20V engines offering a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, with a globetrotting range of 8000nm.

The 106.1m/348'1" motor yacht 'Amadea' was built by Lurssen in Germany at their Rendsburg shipyard. Her interior is styled by French designer design house Zuretti and she was delivered to her owner in March 2017. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Espen Oeino.

Amadea has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 suites comprising one VIP cabin. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study and dressing room as well as a his and her bathroom. She is also capable of carrying up to 36 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include separate crew passageway, beauty salon, movie theatre, beauty salon, elevator, underwater lights, gym, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Amadea is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MTU (20V 4000 M93L) 5,766hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots with a range of up to 8,000 nautical miles from her 392,000 litre fuel tanks at 13 knots. Amadea features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 77,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ 100A1 Passenger Yacht ✠ LMC, UMS classification society rules.

The 106m/348ft mega yacht AMADEA from Lürssen has been listed for sale and is due to make her inaugural appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 . Ahead of the event, her onboard amenities and interiors have been revealed in stunning detail for the first time since her launch in 2016.

M/Y AMADEA was constructed under the name PROJECT MISTRAL and began life in complete secrecy, the general arrangement for this six-deck luxury yacht and her onboard amenities are completely unknown. The exterior design by Espen Oeino was created to a brief from the Owner desiring a strong personality to show through in the unique appearance.

The resulting form blends classical and modern elements, such as the raked bow culminating in a silvery figurehead of a stylised albatross. Dark accents are restrained and used only around the tinted windows, which are numerous enough to flood the shared guest spaces and cabins on the lower deck with natural light.

The exterior spaces are replete with guest amenities for the utmost comfort and convenience, such as the helipad on the foredeck, a lower deck aft beach club and a 10m/32.8ft glass-sided pool on the main deck that has a mosaic floor. This is surrounded on the port and starboard sides by plush sun-drenched sunpads while a Jacuzzi with a similar arrangement is to be found on the sundeck aft.

Zuretti styled the awe-inspiring interiors, for which the Owner’s brief called for an ‘authentic classic’ 18th Century appearance complete with furnishings from the period, integrated into which are all the modern conveniences and luxuries that make the cruising experience so desirable today. Intimate spaces within the generous proportions have not been ignored, and guests can find a cosy corner to admire the leather book-lined walls or listen to live music from the hand-painted Pleyel grand piano.

There are myriad subtle elements that might never be noticed by some guests, however, others will cast an appreciative eye over the hand-painted clouds above the formal dining table, or notice how the back-lit bar has a display of decorative bottles for a variety of spirits. Onyx panels, semi-precious marble, dark wood varieties such as burl and stainless steel work in harmony to produce the neutral-toned interiors accented by a splash of colour such as the crimson carpet covering the stairs. Hidden behind the beautiful surrounds is a wealth of technology providing the lighting, entertainment systems, power and other systems integral to the security and smooth operation onboard: Altogether, there are 6,500 devices across the decks with curtains and sound systems controlled by dedicated iPads.

The detailing isn’t confined to the inside either: Alfresco diners will be in admiration for the deck motifs. The outside is brought in on the top deck, which has a paler colour scheme to the lower decks and dazzles with a glass ceiling, a waterfall, climbing vines and indoor planters. In the centre of this room are an extended formal dining table and a grand chandelier that mimics the natural concept.

On the lower deck as well as hosting the beach club there is a wine cellar, humidor and a large conference room for business on the go. While cruising out in the wilds or after a tiring day in town guests can unwind in the Moroccan-themed spa wellness centre that offers a hammam, sauna and massage room.

The desirable onboard accommodation sleeps up to 16 guests over 8 en-suite staterooms, of which the private Owner’s deck is filled with personal spaces and luxuries such as a beauty salon, gym, and a bath in the bathroom that is slightly sunk into the floor. In the cosy office, there is a hand-painted map on the ceiling and an overstuffed armchair that exudes charm from a bygone era, perfect for time spent reading or working in privacy. The indoor lounge also comes with a piano while out on the Owner’s deck aft there is a circular alfresco dining table for eight that folds out to cater to 16, and near the stern, there is a fire pit surrounded by sofa/sunbeds that are exposed to the sunshine or stars.

Off the Owner’s deck and the foredeck is one of the most original touches on board: The ‘clamshell’ balconies which are obvious in shape from the air, yet provide subtle outdoor social areas for those living on board. The high glass balustrades keep the view while acting as a windshield so that even on more blustery days space can be used.

The rest of the guest accommodation is spread across the main deck and is named after a classic era colour, such as ‘Emerald’ and ‘Burgundy’ which hints at what is to be found within. The VIP stateroom on the main deck forward is the highlight of these other cabins: Its pretty-in-pink colour scheme is a dream come true for many little girls and feels palatial due to its large dressing room, light-filled lounge and spacious en-suite bathroom.

For power, M/Y AMADEA uses a pair of MTU 20V 4300 kW engines that produce a maximum speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, at which she can achieve an exhaustive range of 8,000 nautical miles for reaching and returning from the farthest corners of the Earth.

AMADEA Yacht – Incredible $325 Million Superyacht

The AMADEA yacht ranks in 46th place on the list of the largest yachts worldwide with a length of 106 meters (347,8 ft).

She was built by the German shipyard Luerssen in Rendsburg and delivered in late 2016. Currently, she is sailing under the Cayman Islands flag and was recently spotted in Riposto, Italy .

Designed by Zuretti, a French interior design company specializing in luxury yachts and residences, AMADEA can accommodate up to sixteen guests in eight cabins.

There is a spacious owner’s cabin with a jacuzzi, a VIP cabin, a cabin with twin beds, as well as five other double cabins aboard the mega yacht.

A crew of 36 members takes care of the guests’ well-being, the mega yacht’s maintenance, and maneuvering.

Furthermore, the guests can enjoy the onboard cinema, a luxurious spa area including a sauna and a hammam, a fully equipped gym, as well as a large conservatory with a stage for live bands and seating for up to 22 people.

The interior is designed in 18th-century style in line with the wishes of the owner, including a piano and a fireplace in the grand salon.

The AMADEA yacht is a 106 meters (347,8 ft) long, 18 meters (59 ft) wide yacht with a draft of 4.1 meters (13,5 ft).

She has a steel hull, a superstructure made of aluminum with beautiful teak decks, and weighs more than 4,400 tons.

Powered by two MTU diesel engines, she can reach a top speed of 20 knots. Her total reach lies at 8,000 nautical miles with an average cruising speed of 13 knots.

AMADEA can carry more than 390,000 liters of fuel as well as 77,000 liters of fresh water, which makes the yacht an ideal choice for longer routes.

The exterior of the AMADEA yacht was designed by Espen Øino International , a well-known Monaco-based designer, and architect.

She features a large sun deck with a jacuzzi, an outdoor cinema on the bridge deck aft, a helipad on the foredeck, as well as a 10-meter (32,8 ft) infinity pool on the main deck aft.

She also offers plenty of outdoor space on her five decks with different bar and lounge areas. She carries two tenders that are stored in garages on the side of the vessel.

There are also jet skis, sea bobs, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and inflatable slides onboard providing the guests with constant entertainment.

At delivery, the price for the AMADEA yacht was US $325 million. The annual cost lies between US $25 and 30 million depending on use.

AT 106.1M, AMADEA WILL BE ONE OF THE VERY BIGGEST YACHTS ON DISPLAY AT THE SHOW AND A HEAD TURNER FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS. LITTLE INFORMATION HAS BEEN RELEASED ON THE TOP-SECRET AMADEA SINCE HER LAUNCH, BUT THAT IS ALL ABOUT TO CHANGE…

Lürssen has built a reputation for their expertise in creating gargantuan custom superyacht builds and Amadea is no exception. Originally known as Project Mistral, Amadea launched from the German yard in 2017. “ Amadea is an absolutely unique superyacht; she cannot be compared to any other vessel in the world”, says Julie Stewart, Director of Imperial . According to Stewart the project – as with all Imperial projects – was developed with all the key parties working in close conjunction to create a yacht that was entirely tailored to the owner and his family.

“We are proud to have worked with Espen Oeino and Francois Zuretti and to benefit from their creativity, with everyone involved bringing fresh ideas to the table”, she adds. “Because our relationships are very strong and have become true friendships over the years, Amadea couldn’t have been anything else than a fantastic achievement for all our respective companies. She is sophisticated and was developed with care, she remains the pride of our new construction team, and for our company in general. She is a testimony to Imperial’s savoir-faire”.

It is hard to do justice to the scale of Amadea until you see her in person. At 4420GT, with five decks and an 18m beam she offers a vast amount of space, and every area on board has been thoughtfully designed to maximize her generous proportions. Outside, Oeino’s design is striking and the three dimensional profiles of the deck overhangs and covered balconies create an elegant exterior look. An ornamental albatross, which serves as the figurehead, sits above the anchor wingdoors.

Inside, Amadea ’s opulent interior is highly detailed, all hand finished by skilled craftsmen and women. A double-height atrium gives the feel of a ballroom and everywhere you turn a different detail catches your eye, including the stunning marquetry, marble inlays, polished woods and glasswork. The devil is in the detail and it is clear the sheer time and effort that was poured into making Amadea a reality. She is a masterpiece.

Once the client had conveyed their overall brief for the project to Imperial, he left it to the management team to craft a one-of-a-kind yacht with a huge number of spaces, each tailored to a different purpose. “The client trusted us to reflect his vision in Amadea and everything we did came back to the question of what he wanted to achieve with the yacht”, says Stewart. The features on board are almost too numerous to mention individually but for Stewart a few key spaces stood out as particularly suiting the owner. “We created the ideal spa area for him, with a sea terrace offering the best point of view from the Moroccan salon; we developed with him a fantastic sun deck with the best AV/IT system for entertainment and built a bespoke Jacuzzi that could transform in a proper band stage at night to enjoy late parties; we also helped to achieve his vision of a luxurious but fully functional interior full of natural lights with larger social spaces”. Stewart notes that the interior is particularly special. “Francois Zuretti and his experienced team did a fantastic job with the interior, from the double-height ceiling on the main deck with the atrium overlooking the owner’s deck, to the exceptional winter garden on the sun deck”, says Stewart. “Everything about Amadea ’s interior is a symphony of tailor-made furniture and the finest materials including leathers, fabrics, marbles and more”.

Lürssen applied their skill in yacht building to the project, using clever techniques to optimize the design and keep weights as low as possible. Superstructure decks were built entirely of aluminium, to save around 200T compared to steel, with the decks built upside down in a separate hall to avoid any contamination with steel. The top deck was fixed on after she departed the shed, due to her sheer height. Following final completion work she undertook sea trials before delivering to her happy owner. Powered by twin MTU 20V 4300KW (total 8600KW) engines, she has a range of 8000nm at 13 knots, and underwater stabilisers deliver exceptional comfort.

Able to welcome up to 16 guests and 36 crew, all guest accommodation on Amadea was designed around the motto “for the guest, only the best”. There are seven spacious ensuite cabins in addition to the owner’s suite. The VIP cabin has its own lobby and saloon, bedroom with two king beds and an expansive bathroom. Two double cabins are on the bridge deck and five guest suites, including three doubles, a twin and twin VIP, are on the main deck. A bonus space is the meeting room on the lower deck which has a single sofa bed and a private entrance, adding an additional sleeping option if needed.

Of course the private owners deck is one of the most impressive spaces on board, stretching from bow to stern to create an entire apartment dedicated entirely to the owner. The build team designed this to be a real retreat, where the owner can live autonomously if needed and in total privacy. Private balconies overlook the sea and a separate staircase allows access to the bridge and main deck. The owner’s many different spaces include an office, private gym and wellness hub, library, bar and deck that is ideally suited to hosting intimate dinner parties.

Throughout the rest of the vessel there are no shortage of different areas for guests to enjoy and a white marble staircase and glass lift connect the decks in a stylish way. Main gathering spots include the main saloon and the more relaxed skylounge. The main saloon connects with a social bar space that then flows neatly out to the main aft deck. A full length dining table stretches the full width of the main saloon and the intricately designed bar is kept well stocked by the extra-large wine cellar, located in the tank deck. Up in the skylounge the scene is set for luxurious relaxation with a real wood burning fire, relaxed lounge seating, games tables and much more.

There are relaxation hubs on every deck. A particularly popular space is the main wellness hub with a sauna, hammam spa, chromotherapy room or massage room, and a recreation room that looks out on to a large sea terrace, inspiring serenity and a connection with nature.

Outdoor living is at the heart of life on board Amadea, across all decks. The aft main deck is a favoured space, with numerous layouts, and its mosaicked pool is a stunning centerpiece that looks out over the ocean. The aft terrace on the bridge deck, with a real fire pit, is a popular gathering spot, and leads directly into the cinema room – perfect for hosting movie nights. The sundeck boasts views across the ocean, a Jacuzzi and a breathtaking winter garden for year round use.

On the water’s edge the multi-purpose swim platform was designed to be a base for multiple activities, from sunbathing to water sports. A vast tender garage is packed with watertoys and tenders, including two custom built tenders – a 11m Windy Custom Limousine tender and an 11m Windy Custom Open tender – each with an albatross figurehead to match the mother ship. Side boarding access allows guests to arrive and depart the yacht with ease, and the large helideck on the forward deck allows easy movement on and off the vessel and direct access to the owner’s private quarters.

In conclusion, Amadea is an example of what can be achieved when some of the industry’s finest come together to create a truly unique yacht. The creativity that has gone in to Amadea is a reflection of the incredible skillsets on offer to those who choose to build a custom yacht. “All our efforts were rewarded by seeing the happiness of our client enjoying his vessel on a daily basis”, says Stewart. Q&A WITH IMPERIAL

What makes Amadea a must-see at MYS? “ Amadea  will be one of the largest superyachts on display at MYS 2019, she will stand out by herself without any words! Her bow sculpture, depicting an albatross flying, is a good summary of her elegance and the high-standards she offers throughout all her decks, on both the exterior and interior. She is more than words, and the pride of Imperial. As a Monaco-based superyacht company, with her we prove that the Principality is at the cutting edge of the yachting industry, and Imperial is raising new standards with a never-seen-before attention to any detail on board Amadea : her level of finishing is above any other superyacht in existence!”

What are her most spectacular features? “From your first step on board, the impressive design with striking caps above the front of each deck will immediately catch your eye. Her design is emotional, she is an eye-catching vessel created by the talented Espen Oeino, and her design by Francois Zuretti is breathtaking. On board, from the 10-metre infinity pool to her wide aft decks and hidden lounges everywhere, Amadea is made for those wanting privacy at sea. For those who visit, their attention will be immediately caught by the level of details on board, everywhere inside and outside”.

Amadea ’s design cleverly incorporates a huge number of different spaces on board. How did the design team meet the challenge of ensuring that all the different spaces worked together and that there was a natural/logical flow between all areas on board?

“Imperial does not work on one-off projects for any of our clients, and it is the relationship we build with them through the years that bring us to their final dream: with Imperial, they let their emotions speak and we are here to translate these expectations into reality, with all the attention to detail that us possible. We don’t think about a type of yacht for a type of client: we are here to pair the dream of our clients with the right partners who will be able to understand these expectations, and this motto hasn’t changed since we delivered our first ever yacht in 2005”.

This is an incredibly custom vessel. What were the most important features for the owner when the design was being developed?

“It would be too easy to sum-up too few areas: for Amadea , we let our client speak about his ideas, his mindset and what he was looking to achieve with this superyacht. Many of the yacht owners around the world would tell you they want a vessel which includes having liberty at sea to enjoy precious time with their family. For Amadea  this is true: this vessel is thought, designed and built to have the most memorable family moments aboard, and this quality time was in the center of every discussion we had. From the sea terrace, to the Moroccan saloon and the bespoke Jacuzzi, everything was designed with the family in mind”.
