This PERINI 47-M sailing yacht is a redesign of the yard’s 47-metre sloop that’s upgraded with some exciting new features and will be delivered in late 2026.

She offers the opportunity to get involved in a new build project and benefit from a short delivery time of 22 months.

Exterior Design & Engineering

This new iteration of the luxury superyacht boasts a carbon fibre mast, a newly engineered keel, and Perini technology to allow for short-handed operation.

This PERINI 47-M yacht for sale will feature an aluminium hull and superstructure with teak decks and will be built to Lloyd’s Register classification.

Powered by a 715hp Caterpillar C18 Acert engine, she’ll cruise at 10 knots and get a range of 3,500 nautical miles—but she can also reach a top speed of 13 knots.

The PERINI 47-M yacht features a versatile centreboard and a shallow draft, which means she’s able to access anchorages that are simply out of bounds to many other yachts. Powered by a 715hp Caterpillar engine, she can reach speeds of up to 13 knots.

You’ll find an enormous, open flybridge on the PERININ 47-M. It’s an ideal space for sun-soaked lounging across day beds and sun loungers or for alfresco dining amidship. The open foredeck offers even more space to sunbathe or roll out the mats to practice yoga, with an optional awning if you need to find some shade.

You could also install built-in seating, an alfresco dining table and more on the main deck aft. Meanwhile, the main salon is spacious enough to accommodate a formal dining area, a lounge and a bar.

There’s also plenty of room on the wide swim platform to put out day beds so you can relax even closer to the water.

Interior Design

The interiors of this PERINI 47-M yacht are ultramodern, with a cool aesthetic and a sophisticated colour palette.

The glass-lined walls of the main salon flood it with natural light. Large glass sliding doors connect it to the covered aft deck to create an indoor/outdoor extension.

She can accommodate eight guests across four cabins. The generous owner’s suite includes an office, a large en suite bathroom and its own private lounge area. The rest of the guests can sleep in two doubles and a twin, each with its own en suite.

After The Italian Sea Group SpA completed the acquisition of Perini Navi SpA, we are pleased to unveil the new sailing superyacht yacht from the world-renowned Perini Navi brand, which is currently under construction, at the Perini Navi shipyard in Viareggio.

With aluminium hull already completed, the new generation sloop-rigged PERINI NAVI 47M S/Y for sale measures 154’ 2” in overall length. This sailing superyacht presents classic Perini Navi layout featuring the extended flybridge protected by continuous glass window, with two helms, al-fresco dining, bar and sunlounge. Her future owner still has the opportunity to slightly modify the living facilities and choose between 4 or 5 cabin layouts and the interior design.

Conceived as a fast-cruising sloop, this new construction project carries Perini Navi signature centreboard that keeps the yacht stable while sailing. Two-level cockpit with two separate relaxing areas gives access to foldable swimming platform, while the tender garage is located fore.

Modern, elegant and durable, the PERINI NAVI 47M S/Y for sale, represents a sum of innovations and inventions, all designed and developed in-house by Perini Navi. This 47-metre modern sailing yacht offers a wider transom for more exterior living space, larger interior volumes, high-tech solutions to facilitate navigation, extensive use of glass and easy sailing.

Both styling and naval architecture come from the shipyard’s in-house team, blending modern lines and strong performance. To that end, the sail area is 13,723 square feet (1,275 square meters), complemented by a 205-foot-high (62.5-meter-high) carbon mast with carbon boom and standing riggings. Sloop-rigged, the 47M is very easy to handle. When under power, with the system including a single 715 Hp CATERPILLAR diesel engine, the yacht reaches 3,500 nautical miles of range (Transatlantic) at 10 knots.

The yacht features 4 staterooms, with an optional 5 th cabin, converting from an office or gym for 8 to 11 guests. To take advantage of the 34’ 7” (10.5-meter) beam, the master suite sits aft below decks.

The master and other areas onboard make use of much larger glass panes than other Perini Navi deliveries so far. The main-deck saloon is one such area, although its biggest attraction is its space utilization. In fact, when the sliding doors to the aft deck are open, it becomes an extra-light and bright, 66-foot-long (20-meter-long) social space that feels like an effortless extension of the cockpit and aft deck with which it creates an open-plan space. Further attractive social spaces aboard the PERINI NAVI 47M S/Y include the beach deck, a retractable fold-down swimming platform, and the 969-square-foot (90-square-meter) flying bridge. The transom has been radically innovated and accessing the water is easier than ever.

The 47m S/Y is a project for which the yard believes strongly from the very start. This is why they accepted the challenge of starting construction on spec and her completion and delivery is set for summer 2026. Designed with fearless exploration and optimum guest comfort in mind, the 47m (154ft) superyacht PARA BELLUM is now available for exclusive yacht charter vacations in the Mediterranean . 

Offering you the chance to charter a brand new yacht, the Sanlorenzo  yacht is the tenth unit in the 500XP series and will join sister ship MYKO  on the water this summer. 

The yacht boasts Italian excellence with exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski and naval architecture by Sanlorenzo. She was custom-designed by her visionary owner who aimed to create a yacht that is “fearless in terms of exploration capabilities' and provides guests with a perfectly unique relationship with the sea.

The 499GT explorer yacht is characterized by a sleek profile and elongated aft deck where a selection of toys and tenders that range up to 9 meters can be stored. However, this particular model utilizes the space as an extensive sun lounge with plush furniture and a large swimming pool, something that has never been seen on a 500 EXP model before. 

Charter guests will be amazed at the vast amount of space onboard the custom-built yacht, with a variety of entertainment spaces to choose from as well as a choice of deck pools, there is plenty of room to kick back, relax and soak up the superyacht lifestyle.

Additional onboard highlights include a state-of-the-art movie theater, beautiful alfresco dining spaces and her forward-facing observation lounge which leads you to another glass-fronted pool.

The Xc 47 marks the beginning of a completely new generation of XCruising. The concept is built on years of experience and a desire to accommodate the growing number of sailors looking for a true bluewater cruiser.

‘In short, Xc 47 is an elegant bluewater cruiser, built for safe and comfortable sailing on the oceans. Immense focus has been placed on the design to make shorthanded sailing safe and easy’, says Thomas Mielec, director of design & engineering at X-Yachts.

‘Many of our customers share a dream of heading off on a long cruise, often around the world. With this yacht, they will be ready and able to achieve this whenever the opportunity arises.

Shorthanded with ease and style

Most sailing today, even bluewater cruising, is performed with a small crew, with often just a couple of crew members, which the development team has kept in mind right from the outset of the design process. Some of the design features and functions have been seen before on other premium yachts, but on the Xc 47, they are executed with an unprecedented sense of style.

The cockpit layout has been designed to give the helmsman the capability of handling all lines. Four winches – two on each side, are positioned in front of the wheels. All relevant trim lines are led in channels under the deck from the mast to the steering position, with jammers reachable for the helmsman.

The traveller has been re-positioned from the cockpit to a position in front of the sprayhood. Apart from creating an efficient workspace, this cockpit arrangement leaves room for a comfortable living space, with the sail handling concentrated to the area at the helm station.

Near the transom, a large aft deck accommodates a comfortable full-width seating area behind the wheels, as well as a nice sunbathing area. As it should be on a true offshore yacht, the cockpit is deep, well protected, and with a closed transom.

Updated Xc design

The hull lines have maintained the deep V-shaped bow sections, generous rocker, and higher stern overhang from previous Xc models, providing the well-known comfortable seagoing characteristics. Furthermore, the aft of the Xc 47 has a modern, wider stern section, incorporating a subtle soft chine that provides extra form and stability, improved performance and more space in the aft cabins.

Carbon reinforced

The Xc 47 is built from a full vacuum infused epoxy/e-glass sandwich, together with our famous signature steel frame. Areas exposed to high loads are reinforced with carbon fiber, a part of making the yacht stronger without adding excess weight.

The first thing most people will notice when looking at the lines, is the shape of the superstructure. "We have introduced what we like to call a "semi deck saloon. This solution provides a better view of the surroundings, when under deck with more natural light, and an opportunity for multilevel floors." Says Thomas Mielec

To make sure the Xc 47 is capable of carrying provisions for long periods of time, the yacht has efficient storage volumes hidden behind the sturdy, yet elegantly crafted surfaces of the interior.

CEO Kræn Brinck Nielsen highlights, "Danish design and architecture are famous for clean and timeless style, and X-Yachts has always been a part of this tradition. X-Yacht owners often talk about a special X feeling, something that greets you every time you step on board. We know this feeling, and for us, it's a constant process to refine and enhance it each time. When looking at the Xc 47, l'm proud of how far we have come."

Cockpit features

The Xc 47 is designed with a safe, deep, closed cockpit with wide coamings with a great overview especially from the helming positions.

Steering wheels

The Steering wheels is increased from 90 cm to 100 cm in diameterand is in the same comfortable height as on the X5.6.

Dinghy & Davits

The transom door has an option of integrated davits with the new “easy launch” function.

Bowsprit design

Longer, wider and better integrated into the bow design. Option for integrated electric gennaker furler.

Sail handling is controlled from the aft part of the cockpit. Haylards, reefing and control lines and sheets are led to the four standard self-tailing winches in front of the helming positions with the German mainsheet system operable from both sides.

Both the mainsheet and the genoa sheets are led through jammers, allowing you to easily free up a winch. The winches are arranged for optimal operation from the helming position when sailing shorthanded.

The low coaming aft of the wheels together with the foldable foot chocks ensure comfortable helming.

Compared to the Xc 50, there is about 6 cm more space between the wheel and the aft cockpit locker, for better helming comfort.

They have a capacity of 150 kg per davit and 200 kg in total. When the dinghy is hanging in the davits, there is a free view over it from the helming position, and when the dinghy is launched the davits can either lay on the bathing platform or be stored in the deep “step down” locker.

Longer, wider and better integrated into the bow design. Option for integrated electric gennaker furler. Better launching of the anchor. Option for easily mountable bow ladder and hand rail for access over the bow.

Columbus Yachts announces sale of first 47m Atlantique

Columbus Yachts , a brand of the Palumbo Group , has announced the sale of the first unit in its 47 metre Atlantique series.

The 499GT yacht was designed inside and out by Milan-based studio Hot Lab and is due to be delivered in 2023.

Accommodation is for a total of 10 guests across five cabins, comprising four double cabins with ensuite bathrooms located on the lower deck and a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck. 

Stand out amenities include a swimming pool on the forward upper deck, also home to an al fresco dining area with a bar and seating looking out over the ocean, and a large sun deck “dedicated to conviviality”. A second, smaller spa pool is found down at the open-air beach club, with steps on each side leading down to the water's edge.

Power comes from two 1,350hp engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 3,400 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots.

Speaking about the sale Palumbo’s chief executive officer, Giuseppe Palumbo, said: “With the signing of this new contract, the number of new-build orders nailed down by Palumbo Superyachts has surged to eight.”

The news comes shortly after the shipyard announced the sale of its first two Atlantique 43 motor yachts , which are currently under construction at the yard’s Ancona facility.

Donald Trump Plans to Build New US Military 'Yachts'

D onald Trump is vowing to build up the U.S. naval fleet capacity to contest China's growth in the sector, detailing beautiful "yachts with weapons"—and an expert told Newsweek how that may play out.

In its 2023 China Military Power Report, the Pentagon said the People's Liberation Army Navy had about 370 warships . U.S. officials, who in 2021 correlated the Chinese naval growth to the addition of more major surface combatants, estimate the fleet will expand to 395 ships by 2025 and 435 ships by 2030.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and other officials gathered at the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party in October 2022 focused on intensifying and accelerating the People's Liberation Army's modernization goals, including deploying PLA forces on a "regular basis and in diversified ways," according to the Pentagon.

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday asked Trump whether he would increase U.S. shipbuilding to compete with adversaries like China.

"Yeah, we were going to, we were on track to do that," Trump said. "We had unbelievable talent, unbelievable ships getting ready to be made. And then this guy [President Joe Biden ] came in, and he canceled it.

"First of all, it's jobs, okay? It's very important because it's jobs, great jobs. But you know, I rebuilt the entire military, and the one thing was, the ships are, you know, they take longer to do. We were set to do something great. We started the process. We gave, as you know, the destroyers, we gave Wisconsin a tremendous yard in Wisconsin."

In April 2020, part of the last year of Trump's first term, the Italian company Fincantieri's shipyard in Wisconsin announced it would begin constructing its first Constellation-class frigate, according to Defense News.

In May 2023, the company announced that the Department of Defense awarded its $526 million contract to build a fourth Constellation-class frigate for the U.S. Navy to include the frigate and nine option ships, with a cumulative value of $5.5 billion that includes post-delivery availability support and crew training.

Construction on the first frigate, the future USS Constellation, began in late August 2022 in Marinette, Wisconsin, and is scheduled to be delivered in 2026.

"[The frigates] look, I mean, they were beautiful," Trump said. "They look like, yeah, because I'm into beauty, to be honest with you. They look like yachts with lots of weapons on them, lots of weapons.

"But, and they've really come out good. But we were giving out a lot of ships, and then this guy came in, and he has no idea what he's doing. No idea whatsoever. China is on a shipbuilding message like nobody's seen before."

Rajan Menon, a nonresident scholar in the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's Russia and Eurasia Program and director of the Grand Strategy Program at Defense Priorities, told Newsweek via email that Trump's vision of naval ships like frigates goes beyond aesthetics.

"Frigates may be 'beautiful' in Trump's eyes, but they are far more expensive to build than yachts—to which he likens them," Menon said. "More importantly, warships, as most recently demonstrated by Ukraine's repeated, successful attacks on Russia's Black Sea Fleet , provide big targets for the most advanced anti-ship missiles."

Menon said that the naval disparity between the U.S. and China can be tied to two separate questions, one of which is whether China in any foreseeable future can displace the worldwide maritime supremacy the U.S. has. He said the answer is "no."

But China's reliance on a variety of sophisticated weapons that substantially increase the cost "in blood and treasure" is already costing the U.S. and its warships in the seas off the eastern shore, he added.

"Moreover, its capabilities in this respect are almost certain to increase, in quantity and quality," he said.

A lucky Maryland couple have won $2 million after unwittingly purchasing two identical tickets for the same Powerball drawing.

“I looked at it and I went to the Powerball site,” he told Maryland Lottery Officials. “I saw the numbers and I said, ‘No!’”

The Annapolis man said the miracle draw happened after he visited a 7-Eleven store on Bestgate Road and used the lottery terminal’s replay feature.

The man used the feature to scan old tickets for winners and print new tickets with the same numbers — but didn’t consider that he’d be sitting on a gold mine.

A number of the tickets had the same sets of numbers, leaving him with duplicates.

After hearing the 7-Eleven had sold two $1 million winning tickets he quickly went back to check his stack.

At first the man realized they had a number of $4 winners. 

As he continued to scan, he was shocked when he scanned a ticket that matched the first five numbers from the drawing earning him $1 million.

Overjoyed he called his wife and recalled the pair “had our crying moment” but weren’t prepared for what was about to happen.

“He joked about it,” his wife recalled with a smile. “He said, ‘I still have tickets to go through. What if I have the second million-dollar ticket?”

And before they knew it they were holding onto another $1 million winning ticket.

“It was mind blowing. I had no idea I doubled it,” the father of two said.

The couple said they plan to invest the winnings.

Former Venezuelan oil minister is arrested in connection with corruption probe, authorities say

CARACAS, Venezuela — Venezuela’s once powerful oil minister, who resigned unexpectedly last year as prosecutors probed corruption and other wrongdoing at the highest levels of the state-run crude industry, has been arrested in connection with an alleged scheme that siphoned hundreds of millions of dollars from state coffers, the government announced Tuesday.

The Ministry of Communications released images of Tareck El Aissami being handcuffed and walking down a hallway flanked by officers. Attorney General Tarek William Saab told reporters that El Aissami will make his first court appearance Tuesday on charges that include treason, money laundering and criminal association.

Saab did not say when El Aissami was arrested.

The oil minister resigned a few days before senior officials in the government of President Nicolás Maduro and business leaders were arrested in March 2023 as part of an investigation into the corruption scheme that was based on international oil sales. El Aissami disappeared from public life after the arrests and his whereabouts were frequently questioned.

Saab said El Aissami’s arrest took time because of the various steps in the investigation. The top prosecutor tied the former minister to the alleged scheme that involved selling Venezuelan oil through the country’s cryptocurrency oversight agency in parallel to the state-run Petróleos de Venezuela SA.

Saab last year said the oversight agency allegedly signed contracts for the loading of crude on ships “without any type of administrative control or guarantees,” violating legal regulations. He said that once the oil was marketed, “the corresponding payments were not made” to the state oil company.

In announcing his resignation — seen as shocking from someone portrayed as a loyal ruling party member and considered a key figure in the government’s efforts to evade punishing international economic sanctions — El Aissami said he wanted to “fully support” the investigations.

The United States designated El Aissami a narcotics kingpin in 2017 in connection with activities in his previous positions as interior minister and governor.

Corruption has long been rampant in Venezuela, which sits atop the world’s largest petroleum reserves. But officials are rarely held accountable — a major irritant to citizens.
