What a nice park, all the grass is astro turf so they are not concerned about people driving or putting mats on them. Also made the park very clean. Was very nice to be among the large yachts and We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

“Beautiful park and Marina”

Excellent location to visit Fort Lauderdale area. The site employees direct you to site and assist in your departure. Waterfront Sites are unique, because they are pull-in sites, not back in. But We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

“Mega yachts and pizza!”

This was a nice enough place, but a bit expensive for the current amenities. They're building a new pool and clubhouse, but it's not there yet. We had a Grand Waterfront site, but our particular site We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

The park is very well-maintained, with beautiful trees, well maintain sites, food truck, pizza, truck, and small dog park. For those who are also boaters, it's a perfect combination to have an RV park We camped at Yacht Haven Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

At pools children must always be accompanied by an adult – Pool Hours are dawn to dusk – Children, their safety and actions, are the sole responsibility of parents or legal guardians – No swimming in New River or waterways – Please do not feed birds or wildlife.

Site Appearance

Please keep your site free of debris and litter . Secure trash and dispose of in property dumpster on Sidney Lane. Do not attach objects to trees or fencing, including clotheslines. No tents allowed on-site.

Motorcoaches

Yacht Haven Park & Marina welcomes all Class A motorcoaches. We also have a large selection of sites suitable for smaller coaches, fifth wheels, airstreams, travel trailers. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance must be provided at check-in – Please do not move from your assigned site without notifying management – No mechanical work or vehicle maintenance is allowed on property – Management assumes no responsibility for accidents, loss or injury.

– Pets are welcome but must be non-aggressive and well-behaved– Pets must be kept on a leash at all times– Please pick up after your pet– If your pet is aggressive, loud, or disturbs other guests, you will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund– Pets are not permitted in pool or activities areas.

Spots are quite tight here, but your view is an ever changing scenery of boats and yachts docked in the marina if you get a waterfront site. Staying here offers a true Fort Lauderdale experience with yachts all around, and also it's central location to Las Olas Blvd, the beachfront promenade, and all that For Lauderdale has to offer including it's convenience to major airports, Everglades National Park, Alligator Alley, and the city of Miami (35 minute drive without traffic). Long story short, the tight spots are not a bother when you've got that much around to keep you occupied!

We did not use any amenities such as laundry, pool or otherwise.

There is noise from the airport, but it wasn't a bother and I felt it added to the experience.

When visiting Fort Lauderdale and/or Miami, we would stay here again.

It’s a combination campground and marina. Site was unpacked and very tight with other sites. A lot of snowbirds and full time residents. Laundry facility was terrible. Out of 8 machines ont 2 worked, same with the dryers. You can do a lot better by driving a few miles away. A lot of highway (I95 next to it) and airport (FLL International) noise.

Yacht haven has a few nightly spots, but most people here are extended-stay residents (I was here during a consulting project.), fulltimers, and seasonal residents. From January through April every site is doubled up and may not be your idea of a good time. From April through November, the park is relatively quiet and there’s lots of breathing room. That said, there’s not many trees to accommodate high season.

In general, the place is kept clean if not well maintained. Over the year I was there, the laundry was functional, clean, and social. The staff are congenial and attentive, especially to those folks who stay for longer stays. The location is super convenient to the airport and seaport as well as downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Miami and the beaches are close as well. As such, Yacht Haven is not the place to set up the hammock although the I never noticed the expressway/airplane noise as reported in another review.

Yacht Haven is a clean, albeit a bit run down, conveniently located park from which you can enjoy a big city stay.

This campground works nicely if you are not looking to "camp" rather are using your rv for accommodations after you spend the day at the beach. Hollywood beach was minutes away and easy to get to. The campground is very urban and packed with permanent trailers and giant yachts. We stayed here to get one of our party on a plane at FLL early in the morning which was super easy.

This place has horrible customer service. They flooded due to a freak storm the whole time we would have been staying. We had to make other arrangements. They took $1000 dollars from us and still have yet to give any money back, saying it's "not in their refund policy." THEY COULD NOT HOST US! How is that against your refund policy when it was you who couldn't have us stay? STAY FAR AWAY. We were originally told we could have the money back, but then after several no call backs to management and several email attempts go unanswered, they will never be getting any business of mine again. And I will be telling everyone to AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! What kind of business do you run? If you had insurance, and you probably do, you could recoup any losses due to the storm. But you insist on keeping many rvers money. It's not like you're cheap either. Shame on you. Poor poor management style.

Le camping est tellement beau ! Très propre ! Le personnel est accueillant. Si vous voulez voir de beau vr et des gros bateaux.. c’est juste wow. Il y a un petit restaurant sur place et un autre juste à côté pour manger de bon repas de fruits de mer. Le seul inconvénient, c’est que le camping est entouré de grande route donc difficile de partir en vélo se promener. Le parc gouvernemental situé à côté du camping est fermé. Il paraît qu’il était très beau. Ce n’est pas bruyant et c’est un camping très calme mais il n’y a pas beaucoup de chose à faire pour une famille avec des enfants .. C’est parfait pour se reposer.

The campsite is so beautiful! Very clean ! The staff is welcoming. If you want to see beautiful RVs and big boats... it's just wow. There is a small restaurant on site and another right next door for a good seafood meal. The only drawback is that the campsite is surrounded by a main road so it is difficult to go for a bike ride. The government park located next to the campsite is closed. It seems that he was very handsome. It's not noisy and it's a very quiet campsite but there isn't much to do for a family with children.. It's perfect for relaxing.

Yacht Haven Park and Marina

Located deep up the New River in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this hurricane protected port is the latest addition to the Westrec family of Marinas.  Featuring 55 side tie slips, the Marina can easily accommodate yachts to 130’ and surrounds the tropical uplands of Yacht Haven Resort Park.  One of the rare facilities in south Florida that can accommodate both luxury motorcoach and recreational vehicles to megayachts.  Keep all your toys in one place as in select areas you are able to park your RV next to your slip at the Resort Park, and still have plenty of room for your yacht’s crew support vehicle, motor bikes or other leisure gear.

Under new ownership in 2021, the property is currently in Phase 1 of $26 million in upgrades to the facilities and grounds which will culminate with installation of additional amenities for resort and marina patrons and their guests alike.   Centrally located, Yacht Haven is south Florida’s best kept secret.

Yacht Haven Park & Marina features 255 motorcoach sites, many with spectacular waterfront views, as well as a full-service marina that can accommodate vessels up to 130’.  Family and pet friendly you’ll find something for everyone!

Coordinates:

From the north or south – take I-95 to State Road 84, Marina Mile Blvd (exit 25) head west for approximately ½ mile the Marina entrance is on your right at Sidney Lane.

From the Fort Lauderdale International Airport,  exit the airport to US 1  (Federal Highway) north.  The second light is State Rd 84 (SE 24 th Street).  Make a left and proceed west for approximately 2 miles.  As you pass over I-95, SE 24 th Street becomes Marina Blvd.  The entrance to the marina is on your right at Sydney Lane.

Just north of Port Everglades Inlet, on the IntraCoastal Waterway,  merge onto the New River at Green Marker 21  keep Green Marker to your Port and Red Marker 20 and the seawall to your starboard as you merge onto the New River west bound.  Stay in the channel, proceed inland through downtown Fort Lauderdale.  Monitor outbound traffic.  You will clear 4 bridges.  Shortly after the fourth bridge (7 th Avenue) the New River splits.  To your right is the North Fork and to your left is the South fork.  Continue west on the South Fork, you will pass under the Davie Blvd Bridge, which is the last bridge before I-95 which is a fixed bridge with a 55’ vertical clearance.   Once you pass under this bridge, Yacht Haven is the second marina on your port side.

Great marina, staff was friendly and helpful. We had our bikes with us so we were able to tour around the whole island. Great Island to get grocery's in bahamas.

We loved the marina, staff and onsite restaurant. Everything was well kept and convenient. That part was 5 stars. But, be sure you check the water if you have a water tester BEFORE you fill up your tanks. We filled 2 empty tanks and then tested the water. It was over 1200 ppm. "Unacceptable" by world health standards. It did not taste salty, so it's undetectable without a tester. Marina said they forgot to switch from city water to R/O. I hope that's not the case for the residents who live in Spanish Wells. Regardless, this should never happen! Cost us renting a golf cart to buy gallons of drinking water since our tanks were full of unsuitable water.

Great marina in the Bahamas. We loved this area and was easy to walk to everything needed. Grocery store, hardware store, couple of marine stores, and beaches were an easy walk. The Wreckers restaurant is great food and has awesome happy hour drink specials. The marina does rent golf carts but they didn't' have any available when were were there. We just used our scooters that we have on board and got us all around the island. The Shipyard restaurant was also a good restaurant. Staff at the marina was always helpful and friendly.

Very neat clean marina with helpful staff. I tasted the water and it was fine so I filled my water tank. Nice open air bar and restaurant. Easy walk to a really nice beach. There is a huge sandbar even at high tide. Nice little lagoon before the sandbar. Great place for our dog to run. A large grocery store, almost like a US store is a short walk so great for provisioning. On the road to the beach is a little booth where a woman sells soft serve ice cream from 7-10 pm every night. Flavors change every day. Walk a bit further on the main road to marina is on but west to Bernard's. A longish walk but worth it. He sells fresh caught lobster after 4pm. Not sure how often. A crowd is usually gathered waiting. We loved the small town feel and the colorful homes. Also RB boatyard is there for any needed repairs. We will definitely be back.

The only Marina in Spanish Wells but it is very nice -completely rebuilt in 2016. Everything is clean, neat and well maintained and this is reflected in the price. Fixed docks, but solid, good power and water - we did not find it salty. The access is straight forward but narrow, favor the mangroves as you head to Port to the Yacht Haven. Treadwell is very helpful with lines and Leroy, the manager can help with most everything else. 1/2 mile walk to a large supermarket. Smaller convenience stores along the docks too. If you don't want to fight with the reefs and prices taking your own boat to Harbour Island, it's a surprisingly easy 1 hr. trip each way via water taxi from Gov dock to Jean Bay, Eleuthera land taxi to 3 island dock then water taxi to Harbour Island where you can rent a golf cart on the dock to explore. The pink sand beach on the ocean side is sublime with everything from beach chairs, horseback riding, local food at the beach bars to 1st class dining at your disposal. If heading North to the Abacos, the Eastern channel is quite straight forward despite the foreboding comments in AC. The Explorer charts have the Lat Long for the Ridley Head inner and outer waypoints. You must be precise but the channel carries 25' or so through the short reef. Actually easier at low tide when you can see the reef awash. For a slow boat like ours, saves 2-3 hours.

Unfortunately there are no weekly or monthly rates. We would have stayed longer if the marina would negotiate. Facilities are top class. Air conditioned showers are huge and very clean. Laundry is new and the pool is lovely. Docks are recently refurbished. Wreckers restaurant serves good food and has reasonable bar and food prices. The staff, and all the locals, are very friendly and helpful. WiFi did not reach our boat, but the marina is looking into the issue. Don’t fill your water tank here because the water is too salty (and .50/gal). If there has been recent rain you could get quality, free water when you fill at a fuel dock.

Sir Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak are set to begin a frantic final few days of campaigning as polling day rapidly approaches.

Both men will today reiterate their core messages as they try to motivate their backers to get out to the polling booths on Thursday.

The  Labour  leader will impress on the nation that if they want change they "have to vote for it" - while the  Conservative  leader will warn there are "four days to save Britain from a Labour government".

Mr Sunak  is conceding that Labour are on track for a "supermajority", with the opposition having managed to maintain a roughly 20-point lead in the opinion polls, according to the  Sky News Poll Tracker  - something  Sir Keir  will do everything to ensure does not change.

There are just three days to go until the general election - and the gloves are well and truly off in the race to secure the keys to Number 10. 

Here's what you need to know today:

Both Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer will be hot on the campaign trail today, beginning a frantic few final days as polling day on Thursday quickly approaches;

The prime minister will warn that there are "four days to save Britain from a Labour government", heading to the Midlands to urge voters not to give Sir Keir a "blank cheque";

The Labour leader will tell voters to avoid "waking up on July 5 to five more years of economic chaos" as he accused the Tories of having presided over a "one rule for them and another for everyone else" approach;

The Liberal Democrats are set to continue their push to replace the Tories in seats that have traditionally been considered their heartlands on Monday;

And the SNP will try to convince Scots to back them as polls show Labour could become the largest Scottish parliamentary contingent once again.

We'll be discussing all this and more with:

The final weekend of the general election campaign is over, with three days and nine hours left until polls open.

Today has seen a slight lull in the pace of campaigning ahead of the frantic final days as the politicians fight for every last vote.

Here's what you need to know about what happened today:

• Nigel Farage held a vast Reform UK rally in Birmingham as he tries to stabilise his party's position after a slew of racism allegations this week;
• Speaking to Sky's political editor Beth Rigby , Mr Farage described homophobic remarks by a close aide of his as "crass, drunken, vulgar, rude, wrong" - but also that "people say all sorts of things when they're drunk";
• Also in his interview with Beth, he finally ruled out joining the Tories after the election if he enters parliament, saying they are "ghastly";
• But the racism row engulfing the party continued, with one of his candidates quitting to back the Tories, citing "widespread racism and sexism" in the party, and "the failure of the party's leadership to not only take this matter seriously, but also to fundamentally address it".
• Rishi Sunak  started the day with a tough interview in which he was challenged on his party's record in power;
• He insisted on BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg show that the UK is "a better place to live than it was in 2010", despite a "difficult" last few years;
• He also insisted that his party can still win the general election;
• In the afternoon, he visited a synagogue in north London and met community members;
• He pledged that a Conservative  government under his leadership would show "steadfast" support for Israel, and said he was "proud" that British forces helped defend Israel from Iran's attack in April;
• The PM hit out at the "sickness" of antisemitism, and pledged to "lead a long term effort" to tackle, and "change our culture so we tackle the root causes of this hatred";
• Speaking to Sky's Trevor Phillips this morning, Mr Sunak's deputy, Oliver Dowden , warned that Russia is using bots to boost Reform UK on social media (a spokesman for the party said Mr Dowden must think voters are "stupid").
• Sir Keir Starmer  was not seen on the campaign trail today, but his national campaign coordinator Pat McFadden was challenged by Sky's Trevor Phillips  about whether they would owe a potential victory on Thursday to Reform UK;
• He replied that the power is in the hands of the electorate, and dismissed any questions over the legitimacy of a potential Labour win;
• SNP  leader John Swinney  told Sky News that Scots have been "disenfranchised" by the timing of the election, because school holidays in Scotland have already started in large parts of the country;
• The first minister also made the case for independence with the SNP - but did concede his party has had a "tough time" in recent months.

TV presenter Rylan Clark has said he would "love" to become a politician - and replace the party system with a "Power Rangers of government" model.

The TV personality, 35, joined political editor Beth Rigby and former Scottish Conservative leader Baroness Ruth Davidson for this week's Sky News Electoral Dysfunction podcast.

Asked if he would ever consider the career change, he said: "If I wasn't in the job that I was in, I would love nothing more."

Rylan, who won Celebrity Big Brother and also appeared on the X Factor, appeared on the podcast in place of Labour candidate Jess Phillips after tweeting his praise for Rigby on the day Rishi Sunak announced the general election.

Sharing a clip of her and Sky presenter Sophy Ridge outside a rainy Downing Street waiting for Mr Sunak to appear at the lectern, he said: "Obsessed with the Rigby."

Speaking to her and Davidson, he said his "obsession" with politics began with Brexit - "as we've seen so many promises which weren't fulfilled" since then.

He added: "I lie there at night sometimes, and I think about [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy. He hosted one of the same shows I've hosted in Ukraine."

The TV presenter also shared his idea of abandoning political parties altogether.

Avid football fan Sir Keir Starmer has tweeted his reaction to England's win over Slovakia to reach the quarter-finals of the Euros.

Although England came a matter of minutes from losing before Jude Bellingham's stunning overhead kick in added time took it to extra time, the Labour leader tweeted that the win was "never in doubt".

Labour would definitely want to steer us away from inferring any commentary about the general election from that tweet as they fight for every last vote - unlike Rishi Sunak's more pointed message ...

The Financial Times (FT) announced today that it is backing the Labour Party at this general election, and on Politics Hub With Ali Fortescue , we spoke to the paper's Whitehall Editor, Lucy Fisher, about that decision.

She is, of course, employed by the paper as a journalist, and does not sit on the Editorial Board that decided the endorsement.

But she told Ali that it is "really significant" that the board has backed Labour, adding that it's "the first time since 2005" the paper has done so.

"The FT doesn't have a natural political allegiance, and in fact, being a very pro-free trade and private enterprise newspaper, wanting to see a very open, outward-looking Britain - [it] has more often supported the Tories than Labour.

"So it does feel significant. And the op-ed... makes clear the FT views this as a sea change moment in British politics akin to 1979 when [Margaret] Thatcher swept to power, or 1997 when Tony Blair came in."

Finally, we ask Treasury minister Bim Afolami if the Conservative Party can still defy the polls and win the election on Thursday.

He replies: "Of course we can. And, you know, we will see what happens

"But what I do know is on speaking to constituents... there are higher than normal numbers of undecided people.

"This is the fourth general election I've fought - a large number of people are still saying they don't know which way to go.

"And my message to them on the doorsteps and here today is if they want to lower their taxes, secure the borders, make sure that we have a thriving, prosperous economy going forward in the future, a Conservative vote is what they need to do."

Ali Fortescue points out to the minister that the overall tax burden will continue to rise under the Conservative Party - but he does not accept that, saying the tax cuts they want to make are targeted at ordinary working people, and the overall number factors in the wider economy.

"We are cutting taxes for working people and for pensioners as well," he insists.

Just got a new boat and a slip at Yacht Haven. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, you are treated like part of the family. Also, the the cafe that is on the premises is extremely good, the food is amazing, the staff is friendly and the beer is cold! The other slip holders that I have engaged with have been very friendly and the premises is clean. Last, the price of my slip is very reasonable and lower than many of the other marinas! Lucky to have a spot here!

Yacht Haven is the place I always come back to... Kind of makes it home. I've gone other places in Southern California (and probably will again), but Yacht Haven is always the place I come back to. Facilities are decent, the staff is caring, and the rates are affordable. If you are looking for a posh place to keep your boat, or a better location, you'll go elsewhere and that is fine. But Yacht Haven is an honest, friendly, family run place that I can always count on to be there. Sure, there are nicer places. There are cheaper places. There are places in better locations. I just find Yacht Haven to be a good mix of enough details to keep me coming back.
