Why Tom Pearson Got Fired On Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Season 3 of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht"  proved to be a shocking one full of twists and turns. The most surprising event, however, occurred during Episode 7 when Captain Glenn Shephard sent deckhand and cast member Tom Pearson packing, leaving the crew temporarily short-staffed. Still, Shephard was adamant he made the right call. "Yeah, that's a tough one," Shephard admitted about the difficult decision during a "Watch What Happens Live" appearance. "It had to be done," he declared. "It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know? So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen," he maintained.

But what exactly did Pearson do that was so "grievous" that it warranted a pink slip from Shephard? Here's everything we know about Pearson's infamous "Below Deck" firing ...

Tom Pearson let the boat drag on his watch

The story goes that during a night of anchor watch, deckhand Tom Pearson allowed the famous sailing yacht, Parsifal III, to drag. And in case you're wondering, that's extremely dangerous and a big no-no in the boating world! "It's as serious as it gets. I mean, there are boats, similar boats, who have been in the same situation where they didn't recover," Captain Glenn Shephard explained to  E! News .

Still, Pearson claimed the mistake happened innocently enough. According to Pearson, he had come to the end of his shift when he decided to go downstairs to make himself a cup of coffee or tea, and that's when the alarm went off. "So I was like, 'What is going on?' So I ran upstairs, went outside, and that's when I realized everything was blowing everywhere. I was trying to stop stuff from falling off the boat," he recalled during an interview with Sportskeeda . "Fifteen minutes before that, there was barely any wind," he added.

Alas, Shephard has an entirely different version of events...

Captain Glenn Shephard is not buying Tom Pearson's story

Captain Glenn Shephard isn't buying Tom Pearson's "fifteen-minute" story. "I've had a little bit of time to think about this and it's quite clear that it took us quite a long time to drag," Shephard said on camera about the incident. "I have no understanding of how you couldn't notice it if you're on anchor watch."

And it appears Pearson was equally aware of the gravity of his mistake. "Of course, I absolutely understand now, you know, it was my fault. There's no getting around that," he later divulged at the Season 3 reunion. "I think at the time, you know, I went straight into self-defense mode. But, you know, you have time to look over these things, you have time to look back. And everyone knows — I've spoken to everyone individually — I take full responsibility for what happened that night. And I think that's important that everyone knows that. I blame no one else."

But if you think Pearson's yachting days are over, think again. In March 2022, he appeared on Daisy Kelliher's podcast "Pita Party" and revealed that he was presently working on a yacht in Miami, hosting a famous Australian DJ. "Still on a yacht. Still working out. Absolutely living the dream, you know?" he gushed about his current working situation. Perhaps everything really does work out in the end, after all!

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’: Who Will Replace Tom Pearson?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Tom Pearson was fired from his position . The deckhand made a huge mistake while on anchor watch. He didn’t pay attention to the winds that picked up speed throughout the night. Tom was too busy kissing third stew, Ashley Marti.

The 23-year-old was already having a shakey charter season. He struggled with his job since he was green. Then he got the news that his friend’s dad was not doing well. This greatly affected his job. In the last episode, Tom was let go for not having his head on straight and almost causing a near-fatal incident.

Tom Pearson was fired from his position

At first, the deckhand amused Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans. He made quite the impression when he became drunk within hours of the first charter. Tom drank so much during the crew outing that he puked in his cabin. What’s funny is that he shared a cabin with Captain Glenn Shephard, who was not happy.

He quickly got up and told everyone to go back to bed. Yet, Tom wasn’t embarrassed by what happened. He called himself a “legend” for partying hard. Tom took up an interest in Ashley, who constantly had her eye on Gary since the start of the season.

His mistake during the anchor watch left the charter guests and crew scared. It even affected his relationship with Ashley. Suddenly, she saw Tom as a little boy and went back to pining after Gary. Tom had a feeling that his time on the yacht was coming to an end, even before Glenn shared the news with him.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans tease his replacement

A Reddit dedicated to the Below Deck franchise teased Tom’s replacement. They have an idea of who the new deckhand will be. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht fan shared a photo of Barnaby Birkbeck, who expresses a love for the sea. Check out his photo here for yourself and share your thoughts below.

According to his Instagram page, Barnaby is already good friends with most of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew members. However, it hasn’t been confirmed whether he’s the new deckhand. He could be one of the crew members who work behind the scenes. When he’s not working in the yachting industry , he restores antique cars and transforms them into electric ones.

Barnaby also owns his own company, Electric Car Converts. He also has a side business in eco-friendly toothbrushes. What’s also interesting is that he might also be British, just like Tom. Most of his snapshots are set in England.

What are your thoughts on Tom’s replacement? Will you miss Tom on the show? Or, do you think it was time for him to go? Sound off below in the comment section.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3: next episode, trailer, cast and everything we know

Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is underway and the only thing calm may be the water.

Chef Marcos cooking on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is here, and Captain Glenn Shephard is back to balancing the demands of vacationers with the drama of his crew. And let’s face it, in most instances, the baggage of his crew far outweighs the luggage of any guest.

This season takes the show to the waters surrounding Menorca, Spain. The breathtaking views only serve as momentary interruptions to the hookups, the confrontations, the injuries and the occasional emergencies of the new season. Given the interesting dynamic that already exists between returning crew members like Daisy Kelliher and Gary King, the addition of a new chef, new stews and new deckhands make sailing anything but smooth aboard the Parsifal III.

Here’s what we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3.

When is the next Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 episode?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premiered on Monday, February 21. New episodes continue to air on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo TV in the US. Episodes are available the next day in the UK on Hayu , which can be included as part of a Prime Video subscription. Additionally, Peacock via Sky TV or NOW TV also offers next-day streaming for Bravo content.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back with the first part of the season 3 reunion airing on Monday, June 27, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo. After a tumultuous season full of drama and love triangles, it will be interesting to see what the cast has to say to one another when they face off.

By the way, have you read why fans are grossed out by Ashely's grilled cheese feast ?

What happens on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3?

Viewers of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 will recall that the last time the crew was together, first mate Gary King was involved in a messy love triangle with deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore. While fans of the show won’t have to worry about seeing King in a continuation of that love saga, based on the trailer, King will again find himself entangled in a romance. It appears he entangles with chief stew Daisy Kelliher of all people. While the two appeared to make amends at last year’s reunion after feuding all season 2, no one expected the two to be locking lips.

Additionally, it should be noted that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is done with love triangles, as Bravo TV teases this season fans can expect to see a “twisted love pentagon.” More may not turn out to be merrier in this case.

Fans of the show will also remember that Captain Glenn Shephard and his crew were involved in an accident during season 2 . Season 3 shows how Captain Shephard has been able to bounce back from the incident while also trying to avoid another potentially disastrous event.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 cast

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 includes returning crew Captain Glenn Shephard, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. These members are joined by chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, as well as deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 looks like it’s not light on the conflict or surprised hookups.

For those needing more details about that kiss between Gary and Daisy, hear from Daisy herself as she provides a little more insight on their involvement.

How to watch Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3

New episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 air live on Mondays in the US. With a subscription, episodes can also be streamed live via Fubo TV , Hulu with Live TV , Sling TV and YouTube TV . Additionally, Peacock provides next-day streaming for its subscribers. In order to access episodes, would-be viewers will have to subscribe to Peacock Premium , which offers either a $4.99 ad-supported or $9.99 ad-free plan.

Viewers in the UK can watch episodes the day after they air using Hayu .

Who's leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

It looks like everyone's favorite Below Deck chef is calling it quits. Marcos Spaziani recently took to Twitter to announce that he has no plans on returning for another season.

I want to thank everyone for the big support and great comments. I never thought in my life I would bring so much inspiration to so many ppl and for that I’m very grateful and also blessed! But I can’t go back to the next season. #BelowDeckSailingYacht #belowdecksailing pic.twitter.com/CLTmtLV7yP June 1, 2022

Tom Pearson's Fate on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Has Been Revealed

Shannon Raphael - Author

Apr. 5 2022, Updated 11:15 a.m. ET

Tom Pearson, a deckhand on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3.

While a lot of the drama on Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been about the love pentagon between Gary King, Daisy Kelliher, Tom Pearson, Gabriela Barragan, and Ashley Marti , things ultimately took a dangerous turn with Parsifal III itself when the anchor began to drag during a charter.

When Tom was on night watch during the third charter, the vessel began to drag anchor due to a high-speed wind. As a result, the charter season was put in jeopardy, and Captain Glenn Shephard ultimately lost trust in the deckhand (who happened to also be his roommate).

Though the crew managed to avoid the potential disaster, and Tom tried to apologize, Captain Glenn wasn't sure if he would ever feel comfortable leaving the deckhand in charge of a night watch shift.

At the end of the March 28 episode, Captain Glenn also hinted that Tom's could lose his place on Parsifal III . Many fans are now wondering if he will get fired — and his fate was decided on the following episode.

Tom Pearson on deck during an episode of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3.

Tom expressed his concerns that he would be "sacked" after the anchor incident.

Though Tom was initially defensive about whether he was responsible for the anchor situation, after some time, he was able to acknowledge that he should have gotten Captain Glenn up sooner to help deal with the issue.

At the end of the March 28 episode and before the fourth charter commenced, Tom briefly spoke with Captain Glenn in their room about his regrets regarding the night watch mishap.

"I need to speak with you at some point... Ultimately, I want to prove to you on this charter that I should stay," Tom told his bunkmate at the end of the episode.

"We'll talk about it a bit more, but there's other stuff going on, so I've got to figure it all out," Captain Glenn replied. "But we will talk about it, probably a bit more."

Tom recognized that the captain was deciding whether to keep him on board or not.

"It's never good when somebody says, 'We'll chat later,'" Tom admitted in his confessional.

Captain Glenn also told Tom that he would be off of anchor watch for a while.

"I don't think you'll be on anchor watch for the time being," Captain Glenn continued. "I need people that I can trust, whatever it is... But, anyway, we'll talk more about it."

In the closing minute of the episode, Tom seemed to think that his fate was sealed.

"I picked myself right up, and I was ready to smash it, and then telling your boss what you think he'd want to hear, and you don't see that look on his face that he's happy about it," the 24-year-old added in his interview. "We don't need to talk later, I know exactly what he's thinking."

"Might be f-----g sacked," Tom said in his room during the final seconds of the episode.

One-on-one meetings with the captain for disciplinary purposes are never good, and Captain Glenn made his final decision shortly after their awkward bunk room discussion.

Does Tom get fired on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'?

Though Tom wanted another chance to prove himself and to make Captain Glenn proud, he did get fired on the April 4 episode, "Strip for the Tip."

"I feel bad, I have no pleasure in this... I have to let you go. I['ve] got no choice," Captain Glenn shared during the episode.

Tom took the news well. He told the Canadian captain that he had been dealing with a lot, which had affected his work performance (he opened up about his friend's dad's declining health in an earlier episode).

"It's really clear to me that Tom's mind is in another place," Captain Glenn said in a confessional after the firing. "So, it's not like we can just let him stay, because he can't do any harm. He can still do harm in that mindset. We're not here to provide a job for Tom. We're here to run a safe boat."

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' stars Ashley Marti and Tom Pearson.

Tom left Parsifal III within an hour of his dismissal, but viewers have yet to find out who his replacement will be.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. You can also catch up on the series on Peacock (new episodes debut a week after they air on Bravo).

Here's Where the Cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 Is Now

Did the drama continue?

below deck sailing yacht season 3

Since it debuted back in 2020, Bravo’s spin-off Below Deck Sailing Yacht has certainly delivered some of the most dramatic feuds and steamy boatmances, and it looks as if Season 3 is no different.

While Captain Glenn Shephard is returning to take the lead of the Parsifal III, there’s a lot that’s changed, including a brand new crew and filming location. The cast will be sailing through the stunning waters of Menorca, Spain, but they’ll definitely be hitting some rocky moments, especially when it comes to returning crew members Gary and Daisy’s love-hate romance.

Well, it seems as if there’s more to come as Bravo teases one of the most unexpected crew hookups in Below Deck history. Say what? With so much having happened during the cast’s filming last summer, what exactly have they been up to since?

Captain Glenn Shephard

Daisy kelliher - chief stew.

When Season 3 wrapped, Daisy Kelliher, who returned aboard the Parsifal III as chief stew, took some much-needed vacation time. Kelliher hit up Antigua in the Caribbean , which is where she rang in the New Year and has remained since filming. Considering her ongoing love-hate relationship with fellow castmate Gary King, Daisy remains single for the time being, but she’s certainly not fallen out of love with traveling. Despite appearing to be living the life so many wish they could, Daisy revealed she’s been suffering from severe separation anxiety as she shared just how hectic and demanding her line of work could be in a February 13, 2022 post on Instagram

Gary King - First Officer

Being involved in Bravo drama is nothing new for Gary, especially after his steamy season with Daisy. Well, after wrapping up season three in Menorca, Gary took some time off to reunite with his family; sharing an adorable photo of him and his niece, Ava , on Instagram. The Bravo star is currently in St. Lucia , soaking up the sun, but he hasn’t managed to escape the drama. After sharing a kiss with Daisy Kelliher in the most recent season three trailer, fans have been wondering if he and Daisy are an item. Well, despite the rumors, Gary and Daisy aren’t dating, after confirming to E! News that the two are “just friends.”

Colin McRae - Chief Engineer

Colin McRae has returned to his old stomping grounds aboard the Parsifal III, and considering his love for sailing, fans aren’t surprised to see the Bravo star back on their screens. Since wrapping up last summer’s filming, it didn't take too much time before Colin and fellow Chief Stew Daisy reunited back in December. Since then, Colin has given most of his time to his YouTube channel, Sailing Parlay , which features an array of videos showcasing his sailing adventures. Things are clearly going well for Colin’s online presence, considering he was rewarded with a YouTube 100,000 subscriber count plaque back on February 6. "It has been 4 years of VERY hard work, possibly the hardest of any sailing channel out there that I know of so far, and to reach this milestone is so gratifying for us,” he wrote on Instagram.

Marcos Spaziani - Chef

Say hello to Bravo’s newest chef, Marcos Spaziani. The Venezuela native has been in the industry for over 10 years and is bringing his culinary expertise to the waters of Menorca. It didn’t take much time for Marcos to make a name for himself following season three of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Spaziani is currently settled in California and has decided to open up his very own restaurant in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Marcos and fellow chef Louis Huh have been working diligently on their newest business venture, ML Eats LA .

Gabriela Barragan - 2nd Stew

Gabriela Barragan reigns from San Diego and while she’s new to the Below Deck crew, she is certainly no stranger to yachting . Barragan has worked as both a stewardess and a deckhand over the course of the last two years and has continued her yachtie life after filming season three of Sailing Yacht . Gabriela spent January and February working a yacht in St. Thomas. After living and working the island life, Gabriela took to Instagram to share that all of her “ wildest dreams are coming true ,” and considering she’s spending her days sailing through crystal clear waters, we don’t blame her.

Ashley Marti - 3rd Stew

Ashley Marti is making her Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut, and she’s relatively new to the industry. Marti first began working on yachts at the start of the pandemic. Although she reigns from New York , Marti is currently a West Coast gal as she takes in the Los Angeles sun alongside a few of her castmates. Since wrapping up Season 3, Ashley traveled through the United States and the Bahamas and is adamant about returning back aboard the Parsifal III, so Bravo fans just might be seeing more of her in the future.

Kelsi Goglia - Deckhand

Kelsi Goglia is making her Bravo debut this season of Sailing Yacht. After catching the travel bug following a trip to Croatia, Kelsi has been a yachtie ever since, and it doesn’t look like she’s turning back any time soon. She currently resides in San Diego, California, and loves herself some travel, as most Below Deck crew members do. While her romantic life remains a mystery, it’s clear she’s too busy roaming the world to settle down just yet.

Tom Pearson - Deckhand

Growing up on a lake , Tom Pearson is no stranger to the water, but he’s brand new to the Bravo family. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht deckhand was spotted getting his boatmance on, making us all wonder if he’ll be headed toward hot waters. Well, it seems as if Pearson remains single, but his life is anything but boring. After returning home to Windermere, England, Tom has kept busy surfing through the British waters but has taken quite a liking to his new image. The Bravo star has been attending a number of events following his newfound fame, including his most recent appearance in London, England for the launch of a new app on January 20.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht  Recap: Tom Goes Overboard

Below deck sailing yacht.

below deck sailing yacht season 3 tom replacement

We are back aboard the Parsifal III under the guidance of our fearless, gentle, and patient captain, Glenn Shephard, who is doing the best he can to keep the ship from crashing and burning — literally. A sailing superyacht isn’t a motorboat (a floating hotel), and Daisy, Gary, and Colin are back to parent this season’s waddling ducklings: Gabriela, Ashley, Kelsie, and Tom — may his memory be a blessing (we’ll get into that later).

To recap the past six episodes: Everyone’s favorite Lothario, Gary, has already kissed three of the four women onboard; Chef Marcos literally gets scalped by the boat; infamous guest Erica Rose returns with her man-child of a husband, Chuck (and only leaves a $6,500 tip); and we learn that Kelsie flosses her teeth with her hair. Plus Daisy is absolutely #girlbossing it up.

It’s been relatively smooth sailing (sorry) up to this point, but our beloved yachties decided to serve us a full-ass meal as we approach the season’s halfway point. The simmering stew tension between Ashley and Gabriela — which started with passive aggression over proper hospital corners — is finally boiling over, love triangles are transforming into love quadrangles, jobs are in jeopardy, and even easygoing Chef Marcos is dipping his toe into the drama.

After Tom from Northern England (not to be confused with Zac Efron) lets the anchor drag (in landlubber speak: a major fucking problem that could have resulted in a shipwreck!), Captain Glenn has no choice but to send him packing. At the top of the episode, Tom whispers, “I think Glenn’s going to fire me,” and, babe, he’s right! To see the cool and congenial Captain Glenn get worked up — a.k.a. calmly tell a crew agent on the phone, “I’m looking for a deckhand, and I need somebody pretty soon” — is nothing short of shocking and signifies the gravity of Tom’s mistake. This is Captain Glenn we are talking about! He’s a man of the people who shares a room with common deckhands! He tolerated Tom’s drunken vom session just a few weeks ago, but it seems a line has finally been drawn — and the line is Tom potentially wrecking the boat and ending the season.

Before Tom gets canned, he has a chat with Gary to try and get an idea as to where the big boss’s head is at. All Gary has to say is that the issue is above his pay grade. He’s the first mate, not your best mate, Tommy boy! Gary may be our favorite playboy, but it’s important to remember that he’s actually really good at his job. Instead of spending the morning proving himself to the captain, Tom lounges around and says things like “I’ve been inside her,” about Ashley. Captain Glenn is livid (mildly agitated) and calls Tom down to the mess the next morning to let him go, informing him that a tender will whisk him away within an hour.

I want to reiterate how difficult getting fired from this show is. Tom had one job on his overnight shift: anchor-watch, and he failed at this, risking the safety of the superyacht and the lives of everyone aboard. This, in addition to the laundry list of minor mistakes he has made this season? He’s out!

Side note: I feel for Captain Glenn, who only wants to sail the seas and show the guests a good time, not flex on a deckhand or fire someone mid-season. But here we are.

Like the utmost professional he is, Captain Glenn immediately calls the department heads to the wheelhouse to relay the news and informs Colin that he’ll be straddling double duty until a new deckhand joins the team. Tom makes a last-ditch apology to Ashley — who, just moments earlier, was shit-talking him with Gabriela (“That’s why he needs to fucking go”) — by saying to her in the laundry room, “Anything I did ever say was not me; it was just me under alcohol. I didn’t mean it.” LOL, okay. Can he take accountability for anything? Maybe this is why Ashley famously doesn’t date guys her own age … Anyway, she, with the gravity of a Real Housewife, tells him, “I know, I know,” before admitting that even though she’ll miss him, his firing is “probably the best thing.” Way harsh, Tai! They hug, she continues ironing, and then Tom hops on the tender in a pair of jorts and Oakleys, sailing away from  Sailing Yacht  for good.

Let’s take a moment to remember Tom and the lesson he learns: “to never have sex with the woman (Ashley) who wants to have sex with your boss (Gary).” Moment over! Cheers, mate!

Tom’s absence means the crew is short-staffed, but more important, it means there is a shift in the onboard hookup dynamics — and no more competition for Gary. With Tom gone, Ashley is down to one option: Gary, whom she kissed the first night before starting a romance with Tom. Let’s also recall that Gary and Daisy had a drunken hot-tub makeout, which Daisy denies despite cameras capturing the moment in all its tequila-soaked glory. In this episode’s final scene, the pair get into it over crew-wake-up times (so boring and obviously code for horniness), so I suspect this enemies-to-lovers arc will come full circle shortly. Meanwhile, Gabriela also has her sights set on Gary: Last week, she hopped into his bed and apparently touched “his wee-wee.” While stew one and two compete for Gary, Kelsie confides in Ashley that she hopes she can get some action with the new deckhand, and, honestly, I’m ready for her to get hot and heavy with someone. I want to see Kelsie’s freak flag fly! Hair floss in the bedroom? That’s some extremely Robert Pattinson shit.

The guests on this charter, Colorado businessman Jim Blumenthal & Co., are uncomfortably horny in a middle-aged-couples-on-vacation way and keep a stream of pervy jokes flowing. It’s not inappropriate — unlike Gabriela’s interaction with the primary guest McCordia Young in the season premiere — but it is weird. They crack shocker jokes, say they’ll take a throuple with Marcos, do topless-tapas wordplay, and enthusiastically agree with Colin deeming Big Jim the “horniest man” you’ll ever meet. Big Jim is suspicious to me — who wakes up at 6 a.m. to enjoy the sunrise while on vacation?

They also put in the deranged request of a talent show starring the crew (this poor understaffed crew!), which comes as no surprise after Ken, one of the guests, shows up to night one’s dinner in a full matador costume. Daisy voices what we’re all thinking in a confessional: “It’s frustrating when we’re asked requests like a talent show because I don’t have fucking time to think of a bloody talent. Pretty much the only thing I’m good at is getting tan and drinking margaritas.” Colin also sneaks in a jab while introducing the crew: “Believe it or not, we all have full-time jobs, so it was a really tall order to put this together.” Will this mini–guilt trip yield a bigger tip? Only time (and talent) will tell …

Daisy and Gabriela perform a little salsa number, Captain Glenn pulls off a dirty joke, Marcos spins a platter (in addition to whipping them up an entire “seafood-palooza”), Kelsie and Ashley do some sort of hoedown dance (?), Colin croons an original song with a lyric dedicated to each charter guest, and Gary “the Lady-Killer” King officially enters his Magic Mike era and gives Big Jim a lap dance. We still don’t know how lucrative Gary’s striptease is — the tip comes next week — but if the episode’s title, “Strip for the Tip,” means anything, I’m expecting these guests to pay up.

From the Galley

• The guests decide that “Chad” is the male version of “Karen,” with “Kevin” as a close contender.

• Tom, spritzing himself with cologne upon leaving: “Come in smelling good, go out smelling good.”

• Guest Ken: “That is the most sophisticated sailing control I have ever seen.” Guest Jim: “Have you seen Chris’s vibrator?”

'Below Deck' Exclusive Clip: Barbie Pascual Refuses To Change Her Signature Margarita Recipe For Fraser Olender

'below deck' chief stew fraser olender has a "love interest" of his own this season: "i've always been a third wheel", former 'below deck' charter guests hit choppy waters as they are charged with identity theft in prescription drug scheme, alex propson on whether or not casual sex can exist in 'winter house': "it's difficult, but i don't think it's impossible".

All aboard!  Below Deck Sailing Yacht   is about to set sail with a brand new crew of sprightly yacht pros. This season, the hit Bravo reality series will coast through the clear waters of Menorca, Spain, debuting with a supersized premiere episode in just under a month. Beginning in February, you’ll be getting new episodes of  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  weekly.

Captain Glenn Shephard is back aboard Parsifal III in Season 3 of the series. Alongside him is returning chief stew Daisy Kelliher , chief engineer Colin MacRae, and first mate Gary King. We’ll also be introduced to some new faces, so get ready to meet chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

This season, Bravo has teased that Daisy and Gary will leave their arguments behind them as they “bring their relationship into uncharted waters.” Further, as Daisy attempts to keep her stations clean, her team begins to threaten the hierarchy of the boat as resentments grow between the stews. Chef Marcos isn’t used to cooking at sea, and while he attempts to maintain the same standard of excellence he knows on land, everything seems to be falling out of his hands.

“ With a twisted love pentagon, a litany of gruesome injuries and a dangerous, potentially vessel-crippling accident that threatens the safety of everyone on board, this is  Parsifal III ’s most epic charter season yet,” Bravo writes.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is produced by 51 Minds with Mark Cronin, Courtland Cox, Vivian Kohon, Tania Hamidi, Christian Sarabia and Zachary Klein serving as executive producers.

The first two seasons of  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  are now streaming on Peacock. Scroll up to watch the first trailer for  Below Deck Sailing Yacht  Season 3, which will premiere on Bravo on Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.

Tom Pearson’s Early Life and Background

Hailing from the Lake District in the United Kingdom, Tom Pearson has been at home on the water ever since a young age. Thus, when Tom had to choose a career, opting for one on the water was a natural decision for him. Therefore, he took up the job of a deckhand and prospered at it. Even with a successful and super busy career, Tom still seems like a family person and never hesitates to spend time with his loved ones. Tom Pearson’s Profession

Although Tom hasn’t revealed much about his professional life, he is quite an experienced deckhand and appears to have worked on several yachts around the world. The 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3 Trailer Is Here: Watch!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Glen Shepard

Season 3 of the series is returning Monday, Feb. 21.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back for season 3 with new and familiar faces and sea-level chaos! In the latest trailer for the hit Bravo series, Captain Glenn Shephard is back on the epic Parsifal III,  sailing across the beautiful waters in Menorca, Spain.

“When you go sailing, you never really know what the conditions are going to be like,” Captain Shephard says at the beginning of the trailer before the preview of the chaos aboard the luxury yacht plays out.

Returning this season are chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. Joining the vets on board the yacht are a few new faces, chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

From the looks of it, this season is set to bring all the action and drama as the crew manages to navigate various hookups (and makeout sessions), power struggles, injuries and a storm that looks like it could take the boat underwater.

In the new trailer, we see that Tom, who isn’t ashamed of showing off his self-proclaimed “dad bod,” is bringing the body shots, and Gabriela, who braves the elements and topples over in the hot tub, is bringing the fun. Meanwhile, Gary is bringing the romance and a “striptease,” and Daisy is all about a fabulous party -- all while managing the expectations of the guests who board the yacht.

However, the season isn’t going to be without some serious drama as the yacht faces strong winds and a storm that could possibly send it underwater, and Chef Marcos gets a severe head injury that could leave the crew without a head chef.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premieres Monday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.

Screen Rant

10 below deck stews who were the worst at their jobs, ranked (why i think they were bad employees).

From poor work ethic to disastrous encounters, delve into the top 10 Below Deck stews who sunk their careers faster than a ship in a thunderstorm.

  • Some stews on Below Deck falter in their roles due to miscommunications, misfortunes, and questionable behaviors, leading to their firing or quitting.
  • Failed stews like Ashley Marti, Laura Bileskalne, and June Foster faced criticism for their lack of professionalism and competence in their roles.
  • Stews from different Below Deck seasons and spin-offs committed unforgettable faux pas, behavioral blunders, and relationship troubles.

Since its first voyage in 2013, Below Deck has been a beacon of opulent escapism, showcasing the trials and tribulations of yacht crew life across the Mediterranean, Australia, and more. Outside the glitz and glamour, some Below Deck stews have steered the ship astray with their lackluster performances and questionable behaviors. The franchise has its fair share of employee casualties, from Raquel "Rocky" Dakota's lack of competency in Below Deck season 3 to Caroline Bedol's infamous "bru" debacle in Below Deck season 6. Below Deck's luxury yacht crew faces intense scrutiny over their work ethic, igniting heated debates among audiences.

In the high seas of luxury yacht hospitality, Below Deck sets sail with a crew of stews tasked with impeccable service - but not all sailors shine bright in their roles. From miscommunications to misfortunes, the Below Deck franchise documented 10 stews that faltered the most and ended up getting fired or quitting for lack of professionalism. Stews from different Below Deck seasons and spin-offs committed unforgettable faux pas, behavioral blunders, and relationship troubles. Some individuals missed the hospitality mark, leaving guests less than impressed.

10 Ashley Marti

Below deck sailing yacht season 3.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3's Ashley Marti sparked a love triangle, entangling herself between her coworkers Tom Pearson and Gary King. Ashley's presence ruffled feathers immediately, earning her a reputation as a know-it-all despite frequent errors in her steward duties. Drama ensued with Ashley on each charter, particularly with second stew Gabriela Barragan. BDSY followers rallied behind Gabriela, painting Ashley as a villain. Audiences accused Ashley of not taking her job as a steward seriously and called her out for a rotten attitude and personality. BDSY watchers found Ashley's pushy demeanor offensive, making her difficult to work with.

9 Laura Bileskalne

Below deck down under season 2.

Below Deck Down Under season 2's Laura Bileskalne was the second stew marred by a series of glaring shortcomings. Aesha Scott, quick to discern the issues, noted Laura's penchant for prioritizing her appearance over her steward duties. Time wasted on personal grooming became a recurrent theme, exacerbating tensions. Laura's focus on trivial matters, like lime preferences, fueled conflicts with Aesha. Her self-centered attitude surfaced further when she pursued a romantic entanglement with Bosun, Luke Jones, despite his inappropriate behavior towards colleague Margot Sisson. Laura developed an allegiance to Luke during a harassment fallout, resulting in her firing.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

8 june foster, below deck mediterranean season 4.

June Foster's tenure on Below Deck Med was brief due to the evolution of her role. Initially, Captain Sandy Yawn hired June as a replacement for Anastasia Surmava following her promotion to chef, but June's stint was unexpectedly cut short. Despite proving her steward capabilities, June's position became redundant, leading to her discharge by Captain Sandy. June, feeling justified in her abilities, was angered by Captain Sandy's decision, deeming her time on the ship useless. Audiences advocate for June's second chance on Below Deck Med as she demonstrated competence in her role, suggesting her dramatic exit and firing were unjustified.

7 Cat Baugh

Below deck season 11.

Cat Baugh, a newcomer to Below Deck season 11 aboard St. David, has confronted mental health challenges, breakdowns, and a negative attitude detracting from audience enjoyment. Cat's no stranger to yachting, but her struggle to adapt to the demands of her stewardess role on a superyacht is evident. Unlike her colleagues, Cat's prior experience mainly involved private charters, lacking the high-end service expectations of St. David. This disconnect between Cat and her coworkers has fueled tensions, with her emotional state and work ethic falling short. Transitioning from smaller to luxury vessels has proven daunting for Cat, impacting her performance onboard.

6 Raquel “Rocky” Dakota

Below deck season 3.

Raquel's stint as a stewardess on Below Deck , season 3, left the crew and audiences questioning her competency. From Raquel's erratic behavior to her inability to prioritize tasks, "Rocky" failed to meet the standards expected in the yachting industry. Raquel's penchant for melodrama often overshadowed her duties while working on the Eros mega-yacht, leading to tension among the crew. Raquel's decision to engage in a public spat with fellow crew member Kate Chastain and other off-putting behaviors disrupted the harmony onboard. Raquel's lack of professionalism and organizational skills ultimately rendered her ill-suited for the demanding role of a yacht stewardess.

5 Caroline Bedol

Below deck season 6.

Caroline made waves in Below Deck season 6 with her unforgettable dramatic exit. Despite Caroline's experience and passion for the adventurous yachting lifestyle, she faced numerous setbacks and conflicts throughout her tenure on the show. Caroline's clashes with Chief Stewardess Kate became a focal point, and tension escalated as the season progressed. Caroline demonstrated an inability to communicate and collaborate with her fellow crew members. Caroline also struggled with homesickness, anxiety, and a few injuries, which impacted her work performance. Caroline's frequent clashes and confrontations with her coworkers also disrupted the harmony onboard, creating a tense working environment for everyone.

10 Below Deck Charter Guests Who Will Never Return To The Franchise

4 magda ziomek, below deck down under season 1.

In Below Deck Down Under season 1, Captain Jason Chambers terminated the third stew, Magda Ziomek . Despite Magda's initial promise, her work ethic faltered, prompting dissatisfaction among the crew. The situation escalated when Magda veered off course, engaging in flirtatious behavior with coworker Jamie Sayed despite having a boyfriend. Recognizing Magda's detrimental impact on teamwork and conduct, Captain Jason prioritized the integrity of the vessel's operations. With a firm hand, Captain Jason fired Magda to ensure standards remained unwavering, asserting authority in the face of interpersonal distractions. Magda's flirtation with a coworker breached professionalism, undermining team cohesion and work values.

3 Elizabeth Frankini

Below deck season 8.

Elizabeth Frankini's downfall as a stewardess on Below Deck season 8 stemmed from a clash with Chief Stew Francesca Rubi. At first, Elizabeth and Francesca's work relationship seemed functional, but friction arose as Francesca perceived Elizabeth as lacking competence and prone to making questionable remarks. Captain Lee Rosbach terminated Elizabeth for sleeping in the guest cabin, a forbidden but familiar practice seen in other Below Deck iterations. Elizabeth's not-so-secret romance with fellow crew member James Hough also raised eyebrows. Elizabeth's frequent involvement with coworkers constantly distracted her and undermined her credibility as a reliable crew member.

2 Lexi Wilson

Below deck mediterranean season 6.

Lexi Wilson from Below Deck Mediterranean season 3 showcased a litany of traits detrimental to her role as a yacht stewardess. Lexi's lack of professionalism manifested through her inconsistent work ethic, often prioritizing socializing over duties paramount to guest satisfaction. Frequently embroiled in conflicts with fellow crew members, Lexi's abrasive demeanor hindered her teamwork skills, disrupting the vessel's operations. Lexi's questionable conduct on her social media account later drew criticism, including controversial remarks and unbecoming behavior unaligned with the values of a reputable employee. Lexi's inability to maintain decorum on and off-screen contributed to her reputation as a subpar employee.

1 Camille Lamb

Below deck season 10.

Camille Lamb from Below Deck season 10 failed to uphold the standard of excellence expected in the yachting industry. Camille exhibited a lackluster work ethic during her season, often prioritizing personal matters over professional responsibilities. In one instance, Camille neglected her duties to engage in petty conflicts with colleagues, compromising the smooth order of operations. Camille's subpar performance was evident in her failure to meet deadlines and execute tasks precisely - resulting in dissatisfaction among Below Deck crew members and charter guests. Camille's inconsistent performance rendered her unsuitable for the demanding environment of luxury yacht service, and she got fired.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.

Below Deck is a popular reality TV franchise that focuses on a group of crew members as they work on luxurious yachts and cater to their client's needs. After the original series proved to be a success, Bravo developed a handful of spinoff shows including Below Deck Selling Yacht, Below Deck Adventure, Below Deck Down Under, and Below Deck Mediterranean.

Below Deck Loses 2 Crew After a Firing and a Dramatic Departure

Originally appeared on E! Online

The St. David is down not one, but two crewmembers.

During Below Deck 's March 18 episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge fired the first season 11 yachtie when he let Bosun Jared Woodin go for unprofessional behavior, the last straw being an inebriated Jared barging into Stew Barbie Pascual 's cabin the night prior and yelling at Deckhand Kyle Stillie for leaving a mess of loose tobacco on the deck after a night of partying.

"This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior," Kerry told his subordinate. "You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guy is not acceptable."

But it wasn't just the alcohol that was the problem, as Kerry noted Jared's mental state wasn't where it needed to be. "You've got s--t going on, man," he shared. "You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

However, Jared agreed his head wasn't in the right place and accepted his termination graciously.

Below Deck Season 11: Meet the Cast

"This ain't the right place for me at the right time," Jared replied, to which Kerry responded, "I don't blame you for that. Take this time and work on yourself. Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Before departing the super-yacht, Jared reflected in a confessional, "I thought I was in a good headspace coming into this. I'm really not. And as much as I'd like to be I'm just lying to myself."

But Jared wasn't the only teammate to set sail during the latest episode. Stew Cat Baugh willingly left the ship after admittedly struggling with the job all season long.

"I really wanna push through for you guys," Cat, in tears, told Chief Stew Fraser Olender after receiving a very distressing call from a friend back home in America. "I'm just losing my mind right now."

And Fraser totally understood his crewmember's needs.

Wildest Guests on Below Deck

"If you're in a very unhappy place," he told her, "I'd rather you put your health and your mental health before that and we get you the help you need as soon as we can."

In a confessional, Fraser elaborated, "I don't know what is going on, but you can look into someone's eyes sometimes and see that there is no more that they can give. They are going through enough to be incapable and I need to do what's right for her. "

See how the crew copes with the unexpected departures when Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to look back at the most shocking Below Deck firings ever.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Who did Jared Woodin get fired on Below Deck Season 11, Episode 7?

As soon as Season 11 began, Captain Kerry recognized that Jared wasn't cut out to be the Bosun of a mega yacht. After giving Jared a few charters to see if he could improve during dockings and with his communication, Kerry decided to fire the Connecticut native.

Captain Kerry told Jared, "The way that you're treating these guys is not acceptable, and we've had discussions, and I've tried to guide you, I've shown you compassion. But, you've got sh-t going on, mate. You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

How Jared Woodin Reacted to Getting Fired

Once Kerry fired Jared, the dad of one seemed surprised. "I'm getting the boot?" Jared asked, and Kerry confirmed that was the case. "Really?"

Kerry noted that Jared did "have a lot going for [him]," but that  St. David  wasn't the right place for him.

"Take this time and work on yourself," Kerry said. "Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Jared ultimately agreed with that assessment in an interview on the episode.

"I thought I was in a good headspace coming in to this, [but] I'm really not. And, as much as I would like to be, I'm just lying to myself," he said. "Although the situation sucks, I actually really do feel a little bit lighter."

Why did cat baugh leave on below deck season 11.

Jared wasn't the only crew member who left St. David on Season 11, Episode 7. After expressing how it was hard for her to find her place amongst the rest of the yachties, stew Cat Baugh received a troubling phone call from a friend named Megan when she was in her cabin.

"I'm sorry, I know you can't talk, but she's not answering, and no one else is awake right now," Cat's friend said on the phone. "Do you have, like, a couple seconds? I'm freaking the f-ck out."

Cat didn't reveal what exactly the phone call was about, but she recognized that she needed to get back home.

"So, I got a call from my friend, Megan," Cat explained in an interview on the episode. "This is a situation I really can't talk about, but my friends are my family, so it feels really sh-tty not being able to be there for her."

Cat Baugh Hugs Captain Kerry as she leaves the yacht

After the charter guests arrived, Cat talked to her boss, Fraser Olender , about what she was feeling. He encouraged her to put her mental health first. Kerry did the same.

"My number one job is to take care of my crew and their health," Kerry said. "I'm well aware of mental health. She's got to go, now."

11 Things You Didn’t Know About Below Deck's Captain Kerry Titheradge

"I wish I could have stayed. But, the thing is, there's no way I could have," Cat concluded. "This is too much. I need to be with the people [who] need me, and also, on this boat, I'm at a breaking point. I need to protect my mental health. It's like my support system is at home, not here."
