The motor yacht SEA BLUE'Z is a 37 metre 120 (foot) well sized composite boat which was manufactured at Benetti Yachts and conceived by Fratelli Benetti and Stefano Righini. Sleeping 10 guests and 7 qualified crew, motor yacht SEA BLUE'Z was named (Benetti Classic) Mi Vida. The naval architecture office who actualised her design details for the yacht was Fratelli Benetti and Stefano Righini. Also, the interior designing is sucessful creation of Zuretti Interior Design.

New Build & Naval Architecture relating to Luxury Yacht SEA BLUE'Z

Fratelli Benetti Yacht Design was the naval architect firm involved in the technical superyacht plans for SEA BLUE'Z. Her interior design was conceived by Zuretti Interior Design. Fratelli Benetti and Stefano Righini is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. Built by Benetti Yachts the vessel was fabricated in Italy. She was successfully launched in Fano in 2006 before being transferred to the owner. A moderate proportion is achieved with a total beam (width) of 7.9 m or 25.11 feet. With a 1.96m (6.5ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably shallow. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is fashioned from composite.

Powered by two CATERPILLAR diesel engines, SEA BLUE'Z will attain a high speed of 16 knots. Connected to her Caterpillar engine(s) are twin screw propellers (benetti 5 blades). She also has an economical range of 3300 nautical miles whilst underway at her cruising speed of 15 knots. Her total HP is 3100 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2193. Concerning thrusters she was fitted with Vosper, Koopnautic. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she was built with Vosper / Koopnautic.

Seablue'z superyacht was launched in 2006, the 36.58m charter yacht has a well-appointed interior that makes her feel as spacious as a 50 metre yacht. She has a fabulous range of areas on board for relaxing and entertaining, including her generous decks.

Seablue'z yacht has luxurious accommodation on board for up to 10 charter guests in five staterooms, all of which incorporate a blend of classic yet elegant styling. The most fabulous yachts to charter this summer

There are an estimated 6,000 superyachts — vessels that are more than 100 feet long — at sea in 2024

As summer reaches its peak across the Northern Hemisphere, it’s hard to imagine a better way of spending a vacation than channeling your inner ship captain and sailing across the ocean.

In recent years, yacht companies have reported a boom in sales — far from the decline that many in the industry feared, due to both the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic realities of the Russia-Ukraine War.

“I spent my days [in 2020] doing worst-case scenarios and drawing up the budgets to go with them,” Giovanna Vitelli, chairwoman of Azimut|Benetti, the world’s largest yacht manufacturer, told the Economist in 2023.

Instead, her company reported a 23% growth in production value in 2023 —a reality that is not unique to just one yacht manufacturer. The luxury yacht market is expected to grow in value from $7.67 billion in 2023 to $17.33 billion by 2032, according to a recent report from Fortune Business Insights .

Analysts attribute the ships’ rise in popularity to the increasing number of extremely wealthy individuals . Yachts have long been considered a status symbol — a reality that has only increased as wealth becomes concentrated in the hands of a small group of high status individuals .

There are an estimated 6,000 superyachts —vessels that are more than 100 feet long — at sea as of this year. This is nearly quadruple the number of yachts seen in the ocean just three decades ago, according to Bloomberg .

Aside from an increase in popularity, the yacht industry has seen other changes in recent years. Increasingly, those in the market for a luxury ship are turning to alternate means of powering their vessels, as critics point to the excess emissions traditional yachts produce simply for recreational use.

In their 2024 report, Fortune Business Insights highlighted the growing trend of electrification as a significant area of growth in the coming years.

“A tough regulatory environment for traditional yachts and rising fuel prices will pave the way for the solid growth of electric yachts in the future,” the report reads. “Huge investments from various manufacturers and government support measures will accelerate the demand for electric yachts.”

Carinthia VII

Originally constructed in 2002, the award-winning Carinthia VII was recently remodeled and reimagined specifically for private charters. The 319-foot ship spans six decks and can accommodate up to 12 guests in eight staterooms. Among the ship’s amenities are two bars, a fully equipped gym and an outdoor projection screen that allows for an “immersive cinematic experience like no other.” The cost of chartering the Carinthia VII is $1,525,700 during both the winter and summer seasons.

The Lady S yacht boasts a number of exciting water toys, including jet skis, water skis, wakeboards and kayaks for athletic guests on the 305-foot ship. For those who prefer more indoor-oriented activities, however, you can also catch a film on the ship’s IMAX Dolby cinema — the first of its kind on any yacht in the world. Accommodating 12 guests, in seven cabins, the cost of chartering the Lady S begins at $1,743,328 a week.

The interior of the Ahpo yacht seems more reminiscent of a luxury hotel than a simple ship. Accommodating 16 guests and 36 crew members, the vessel features a full-size gym, a winter garden and a spa complete with a Himalayan salt sauna. The 378-foot long yacht was first manufactured in 2021 by the German shipyard Lürssen. Excited sailors can charter the Ahpo from superyacht broker Edmiston, beginning at $2,833,376 a week.

500EXP Para Bellum

This 154-foot-long yacht can accommodate up to 12 travelers in its six cabins, along with up to 10 crew members. The ship was specially designed to enable “guests a 360-degree experience and relationship with the sea” through its unique stern and sundeck that allow travelers to safely stand “almost at sea level,” according to its Italian manufacturer San Lorenzo . Interested travelers can rent the ship for $359,609 a week.

The Renaissance

The Renaissance lives up to its grandiose name by going beyond traditional private yachts and bridging the gap between a personal vehicle and a full-on cruise ship. The 367-foot long ship features five decks and can accommodate 36 guests in 19 cabins. The Renaissance’s amenities include a 19-seat movie theater, a sushi-bar, and a full spa deck featuring a wellness area, plunge pools and a hair salon. The cost of chartering the ship from Burgess Yachts ranges from $3,269,280 to $3,814,160 a week.

Wheeler Yacht Company LLC Conducts Successful Initial Sea Trial of the First Wheeler 55

Chapel Hill, NC

Chapel Hill, N.C., July 18, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wheeler Yacht Company LLC has begun initial sea trials for the Wheeler 55, its newest luxury yacht. The cold-molded wooden vessel built by the Brooklin Boat Yard began testing in Center Harbor and the Eggemoggin Reach in Brooklin, Maine and has achieved its early performance goals. The formal sea trial will be held on July 23 and the official launch on July 30.   

As the newest model from the revered yacht company, the Wheeler 55 trials drew a small crowd of media representatives and a few local industry experts who were eager to witness the ‘soft launch’ and first engine tests of this luxurious and innovative yacht.

“We’ve had a tremendous media response to our first yacht, the Wheeler 38 , so crafting a 55-foot model built to accommodate more living space with high-end technology and bespoke luxuries was the natural next step,” said Wes Wheeler, President, Wheeler Yacht Company. "Seeing the Wheeler 55 in the water and running her for the first time on the Reach was an incredible moment for our team in Brooklin. This yacht represents the pinnacle of our dedication to quality, craftsmanship and innovation, and we’re thrilled to share this magnificent yacht with the industry."

Billy Black, a renowned maritime photographer, will capture videos and stills of the yacht on the open water on July 23. Limited invitations are available for media and people close to the project for the final sea trial and the official launch on July 30, which will be held at the Brooklin Boat Yard on Center Harbor Road in Brooklin, Maine. ‘Legend’, the Wheeler 38, will also be available on that date.

The Wheeler 55 is a handcrafted, wood vessel using proprietary cold-molded techniques. It is built with laminated Douglas fir structural elements, mahogany plywood hull, Sipo mahogany house, Sipo interiors and all-teak decks. The yacht is powered by twin 1,000 HP v8 MAN engines and straight shafts and will cruise at 25 knots at 2300 RPM. Other features include synchronized joystick controls with bow and stern thrusters to ensure easy docking, and the Seakeeper gyro stabilizer and Zipwake systems to provide a smooth and stable ride.

“Constructing a yacht with this much state-of-the-art technology while maximizing the living area was a masterclass in craftsmanship and planning,” explained Brian Larkin, CEO, Brooklin Boat Yard. “The carpenters, machinists, mechanics and electricians worked like a team, negotiating for valuable space on board. The engine room alone is a work of art. They built a small city in just 19 months. That’s a testament to how our team works here at the Brooklin Boat Yard.”

The boating industry’s leading talent collaborated to bring the Wheeler 55 to life, including designer and naval architect Bill Prince, Brooklin’s own design team, interior design by Martha Coolidge and construction by the Brooklin Boat Yard. The Brooklin Boat Yard team included their President, Brian Larkin, its Chief Operating Officer Nick Carter, in-house designer Will Sturdy and project manager Eric Blake.

The Wheeler 55 is the latest chapter in the Wheeler Yacht Company’s storied history . It was inspired by both the iconic 1931 Wheeler ‘Playmate’ model and its contemporary, the 38’ Wheeler ‘Legend.’ The 38’ Playmate was the vessel in which Ernest Hemingway wrote “ The Old Man and the Sea ,” hunted for U-Boats during World War II and revolutionized sport fishing . Later, a Wheeler Playmate served as the ‘S.S. Minnow’ in the opening credits of Gilligan’s Island . During World Wars I and II , Wheeler halted production of its luxury yachts and diverted its resources to supporting the war efforts, building 412 vessels for the American and British militaries.
