Richard and Gretchen Bowman own a small family farm in North Idaho. Operations started about 23 years ago with a single pregnant cow and a heifer calf, and have grown now to provide sustainably raised, high quality beef to more than 130 families around the Northwest.
About the Farm
Thousand Hills Farm is owned and operated by Richard and Gretchen Bowman who have lived and worked on their family farm in North Idaho since 1997. How it started. This beautiful property, originally homesteaded in 1885, was to become home to their beef operation. The first calf, Marion, was born in the spring of 1998, and the herd was started.
Orders & FAQs
Occasionally, ground beef bundles are available at other times of the year. Customers are added to our list at any point throughout the year. In August, the process of contacting our customers begins. Long term customers are contacted first and so on down the list. To reserve your beef, a deposit of $150 per quarter, $300 per half is required.
